Great pho and amazing family business. They were short staffed, but still delivered an accurate and delicious meal that satisfied even our pickiest eater. We came off a flight at Sea-Tac hoping to find something to satisfy everyone before the long drive home: The eye round and flank beef pho definitely hit the mark. Broth was more simple than some phos I've had before, but it had a very satisfying and fresh flavor and the beef quality was good. My husband ordered the mixed beef, and not having had tripe before wasn't a fan, but still enjoyed the other meats in the dish and overall flavor. Egg rolls were excellent and the fried rice was a favorite for my 10 year old. My 12 year old sampled and loved every dish equally. The owner was exceptional and waited on us like a one-man show he was warm and friendly us and our kids. The wait wasn't long, but he surprised our kids with chocolate after dinner for waiting patiently and smiled and joked with everyone in the restaurant and he moved around the restaurant. The restaurant itself isn't anything too exception in terms of looks or presentation, but the food and family feeling to it has definitely earned the respect of locals getting take out. Really disappointing experience overall. Tables were dirty. The interior and exterior of the place represent the food and customer experience... lacking, needs improvement, needs more depth. The pho was very disappointing. The broth was bland, watered down, and slightly sweet with no depth of flavor. Service from the man with the micro ponytail was poor and very impatient. When we asked about the rice combo dish, we were told that several items shown on the menu and in the photos are no longer available because "white customers don't like it," which was surprising for a Vietnamese restaurant. My family and I were visiting Olympic National Park and decided to stop to pick up some banh mi to go for the drive. Wish we had time to stay and eat some Pho as it smelled and looked delicious. Regardless, the banh mi had large portions and were delicious, especially the grilled beef banh mi. The man who helped us, I think the owner, was very kind. He gave my daughter candy bars while we waited even though the wait was minimal. In the short time we were there, several customers who seemed like regulars came up to pay for their meal. Awesome service. Me and my wife are visiting from Hawaii and craving pho. This spot blows everything we have back home out of the water. I got the combo with beef rib and oxtail and my wife got the special meat combo and oxtail. 10 stars. The grandpa who owns and runs this place is super cool. Best pho I've had all year and will continue to have for the rest of my life, because everything about the pho is perfect. It's a classic flavor with robust vermicelli noodles, fresh cuts of meat, and thick slices of jalapenos & bean sprouts on the side. The tea offered at tableside for free is lovely. The staff is patient and attentive. The decor inside this restaurant is adorable and cozy. The bathrooms are neat and clean. The ambience is often peaceful but lively. Other pho places blast the radio or k-pop and it starts to get really grating, but this place keeps it serene. It's a perfect, vibey place for a date or a personal celebration. Always love coming here. The owner is always remembering people and greeting them with a smile. They recently changed the prices on the menu to add a 3% credit card fee and $1 extra charge for to go orders, but it's understandable. With this amazing flavor, this restaurant could get away with charging 22$ a bowl in Bellevue downtown and I'd still support him and his family anyway. The owner say's he's been here for 23 years and when you sit down to eat, you can definitely tell, the quality is there! First time visiting Seattle and wanted to find a good pho place to eat. It's always a hit and miss but The pho here was absolutely delicious!! I had #11 and my husband had the special pho with ox tail and beef ribs. The meat was fall off the bone - very tender just the way we liked it. The broth was clear with a slight bit of oil just the way we like it. It was soo good I didn't add any extra sauce like hoisin or siracha fearing it would ruin the flavor. It was so good we came back 2days later right when it opened just eat before our trip back home. I would definitely come back here again. We are from Honolulu where pho is a thing and I've tasted some of the best outside of Vietnam. Found this place here on Yelp and it was about 15 minutes away from our SEATAC hotel. So we got a ride share to Pho Saigon in Kent, WA. We walked in and it was bustling with patrons eating in and others waiting for takeout orders. The gentleman seemed very busy and asked us to take a table near the front. We were there for pho for sure but I also was thinking about an appetizer or side dish. After looking over the menu we both decided to get the highly recommended pho people on Yelp were talking about. He came to our table and mentioned pho was the fastest as his Sister who is the cook was backed up with phone orders. Perfect! We ordered 2 bowls of Oxtail & Rib Pho. It was LARGE and way too much for me but worth the $25 per bowl price tag. It came with the usual fresh basil, bean sprouts, and jalapeño. This is a family owned and operated establishment that has been there for 22 years. You could tell that most of the customers were regulars as the owner thanked people by their name. Pho Saigon Garden is such a gem. I've never seen any food blogger/ tiktok about it and am really surprised i haven't because it's so good! The owner is so sweet and he automatically split our large bowl of pho without even asking if we wanted to when i had mentioned we were going to share. If you like a more medium light body broth that's well flavored and doesn't hold back on the fat this place is for you. This might be the best broth we've had in a while for a pho spot in washington state (really surprised as a Vietnamese person) It has a very home-y taste to it. The cuts of meat were definitely thicker here which is nice if you like a bite to your meat and it's still soft. Shrimp spring roll we also go was nice fresh and crunchy. The meat was pre-cooked and thrown on the plate. It looked like it sat in the kitchen for several days and a 6 year old kid made our food. When we ordered our drinks, the owner told us to grab the drinks from the fridges in the dining room. Definitely not great customer service. He suggested the pho which was okay. Ambiance: CON: I'm sorry to say that I'm subtracting two stars because the place looks neglected. It has a cozy, earthy feeling, thanks to the plants, which I like. However, it falls short. The plants create a warm atmosphere, but they need grooming. I'm unsure about the empty water bottles in the plant box; it looks messy. I recommend disposing of the bottles. The rugs are worn, and the place needs sweeping. The ice cream pictures on the fridge are damaged and should be updated with proper photos. A small tea cup was also dirty. Hopefully, someone will take this feedback and make improvements to draw in more customers, given that appearance plays a significant role in people's judgments. PRO: Lots of available tables and chairs, good for a big group. Plenty of parking. Good location, easy access to the I-5 freeway and right on PAC Highway. Like others we were also able to meet the owner Paul who was so kind- he initially said the food is so good we'll be coming back every week and at first we weren't sure but then after getting a taste found that it was SO good! Wow, I seriously can't say enough good things about this family-run restaurant and the hard-working owner, Paul. This place is pretty far from where we are in Issaquah but anytime we are in the area we make it a priority to stop by. The broth is sooo flavorful and savory here. They give a generous amount of noodles and meat and the large is only $1 more than the small! Everything is so well-priced and affordable. The pork spring rolls + unique non-peanut sauce are super yummy and a specialty of the restaurant. Great for those with a peanut allergy! I also like that each table gets their own piping hot tea kettle to go with the meal. Even though he's always so busy running the front of the restaurant by himself, Paul makes time to talk to customers and make them feel welcome. He genuinely wants all customers to have a positive experience and always asks us if we have any feedback. He's really such a great guy and super funny! I honestly don't know how he manages to keep up with all the front-of-house duties by himself, but somehow he does it and he does it well. We felt tired just watching him running around! Pho Saigon is definitely worth the drive for both the food and the people and it's why we keep coming back! We wanted oxtail soup and Pho Saigon showed up on my Yelp search. We came on Sunday and the place was busy. The wait was maybe only 5 mins but after we got seated more people showed up and waited much longer. We order the #1 Vietnamese Egg rolls, #5 Oxtail & Rib Pho, #6 Special Mix Pho, and #9 small Eye round Steak and well done Flank. The food was delicious my son ate the whole bowl of Oxtail soup and said we need to come back again. The service was a little slow bc the place was packed but the gentleman who sat & took our order was doing his best. He had us seat ourselves, and get up and go get our own soda, which was kinda odd. The PHO was OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD, though. So were the spring rolls. We really enjoyed our tasty and flavorful food but the service was so odd and disjointed that it was kind of a weird dining experience. The owner was super nice but just seemed very overwhelmed. I think he was doing everything, including cooking the food. Come here if you have a decent amount of time and want good pho. If you want excellent service you might want to check another pho place out. I want to repeat that the owner was very sweet and funny and the pho was some of the best we have ever had.
