The veggies were cucumbers, slivers of carrots and lettuce in a Mayo based sauce. The banh mi was flavorful with every bite. The Spring Rolls were also a nice size. English is not so strong, but I dont care, as long as food is good and fresh. Never had bad pho here. Always fresh, from soup to veggies that come with it. As an Oregonian, we have very good pho spots and this place was two out of 10. The Thai tea was out of a can tasted like chocolate milk. My last review was from 3 years ago. This joint is down the street from work for me. I thought really hard and decided to give this place another chance to see if there were some improvements from the last time. Seems like this is a husband and wife business. I called in my order and a nice lady took my order. I ordered a special pho and an order of fresh rolls with shrimp. I brought the food back to work and opened the box with the fresh rolls. Behold... the rolls were opened like a taco. The rice paper was torn on both rolls. I was a bit upset because it defeats the purpose. I tried to hold it sternly like a taco so nothing came out, but it was a little difficult. The second roll, I just ate the shrimp and called it good. I'm not sure if they knowingly do this for to go orders... or maybe the rice paper just breaks after it's made..? I saw this happen to someone on an earlier post... but just thought it was a 1 time thing. The pho broth was nice and hot, and there was plenty of meat in the box. For me, the broth could of used a lot more flavors. It was more on the bland side. My order did come with utensils and hoisin and siracha packets instead of little plastic containers like most places. I'd have to say their customer service is good. The decor is clean, simple, and spacious. I just think they need to improve on their flavors. Then again, that's just me, but compared to all the other pho I've had, theirs would be toward the bottom of my list. My star rating stays the same, simply because of the food and their service. Took the gang out to grab brunch. Of course, half way to the restaurant my son fell asleep in the car. So, I called them ahead to order take outs. Got us an order of pork patty rolls, combination banh mi, combination pho and combination rice plate. The lady told me 15 minutes. OK, deal! Got there within 10 minutes, so I waited in the car. Came in 5 minutes later, which is 15 minutes, right? She said it's not ready yet. All good, went out in the car waited some more. And today IS Thursday! The lady goes, "We don't accept that. Everybody comes here with that certificate and we don't accept it." DAFUQ!?! Woke up to snow this morning and cold. For lunch I wanted soup and Pho was the ticket. I found this place while driving by. It is located in a strip mall. There was only one other group eating when I arrived which is a red flag to me. I want a restaurant that is busy during lunch time. I ordered the Spring roll Appetizer and the Combination Pho. The spring rolls were very good. The Pho did not have as much protein as I expected. The flavor was good and I was full when finished. One of the reasons the place was so empty was it was very cold. I'd like to highlight the humbleness of this pho restaurant. Two elderly couple that run this restaurant and they were so kind to me. The lady was extremely friendly and having lunch here was enjoyable. The location is great for lunch time. I ordered the pho dac biet and a Vietnamese coffee. First thing is that I had to try the broth. That's how you know if it's a great place if the broth is on point. It absolutely is. Tastes just like grandmas cooking. The Vietnamese coffee is great! Not super sweet but absolutely perfect and the mixture of the dark and semi sweet texture. The cleanliness is spot on. They take COVID precautions really carefully. This is a food review that was a delivery order. The delivery was fine, I'm basing my review on flavor alone. The pho was fine for delivery. The broth came steaming hot, and the noodle/tendon portions were great. Definitely not as good as if you went into the restaurant, but for a tired night in it's great. (Warning packaged in styrofoam). Now here is where the real disappointment comes. The bahn mi. HORRIBLE. I'm so angry they ruined bahn mi like this. They put iceberg lettuce inside the sandwich, both unauthentic and ruins the taste. They added GLOBS of mayonnaise (not even homemade). There was 0 pate in my bahn mi, which is a staple for the bahn mi dac biet. The worst part was there was no pickled diakon and carrot mix, it was just raw shredded carrot. This place has been open for few years and each time drive by they were closed. Today, we saw that they are open. So, we want to try it. I had tendon pho and vegetables. My wife had grilled beef and shrimp vermicelli. We ordered fried ton fu for appetizers. Overall, the food is alright. The fried ton fu on the menu showed some seasoning and condiments on it, but when it came it was plain ton fu fried. The vermicelli lacked flavor and the beef were really tough. The pho lack flavor as well. I dumped lots of their chili peppers and still lack flavor. The waitress tried very to provide good customer service but she lacks the skills. OK so where do I start. This place has great food at a fair price. I love their vermicelli bowls with pork. The meat is flavorful and the spring roll and vegetables are spot on. My wife, son and I have had their sandwiches too and they are great. I have no idea why a reviewer says they are not flavorful... They pack flavor. These beat the ones I get in the international district and Tacoma. Try the pork or chicken. I really suggest folks give it a try and be patient when you order, as the owner tries her best at english but it is obviously not her first language. Food poisoning! I hate to even write this because this was becoming a great spot to enjoy my soup but never again. I went to get the steak pho soup on Saturday, August 14. Additionally, the last two times I had pulled up to grab a bite to eat. I suddenly just started feeling super sick both times nauseous so note that. Iordered and intended to say and eat but I took it to go. The wife is very sweet and very kind. She has great customer service. The husband/cook doesn't come out to speak to the customers, which I get, but he came out and gave me a very strange look, just as I was pouring my soup in the to go bowl, and it made me feel very odd. I feel odd, because why would he look at his customer that way and make me feel uncomfortable, then again, maybe he's just not the friendly type. Whatever the case may be, I became extremely sick soon after we left this location within 30 minutes of eating the soup. I was at home projectile vomiting. I felt overall sick, stomach pains, extremely bad, excruciating pain in my stomach, back pain, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and I was so sleepy. I've never had food poisoning before, and I could not figure out what was going on with me. I was woke up out of my sleep still with severe cramping and diarrhea for three days straight. I literally was out sick from work for two days and the only one day I was able to go, I slept at work in the break room at the hospital. My daughter was with me and didn't want soup but she took a bite or two of mine and she ended up feeling the same way that day. Yes! We just relocated from Atlanta and were looking for our new 'I love pho', that was our place...well we found it. My husband has been coming for a few months and we just joined him in Washington.
