Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #116 I haven't visited Molly Tea since the Grand Opening, but I saw the boba shop recently added brown sugar boba as a topping and I had to give it a revisit. Not to mention that I also wanted to do a direct comparison between the Premium Jasmine here and at UG tea. The result? Molly comes out on top by a large margin, although UG is much cheaper. Molly gives a smaller portion size (16oz vs large 22oz) and yet costs more then UG. Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($7.98) - The milk tea is thick, luscious almost like cream with fragrant, rounded flowery notes. The jasmine flavor is deep, filling the olfactory glands and taste buds with a rich fragrance, which finishes into a nutty and earthy barley-like essence. In comparison, UG Tea offers a thinner drink that offers a good but flatter jasmine flavor, then laces it with a somewhat overbrewed tannic tea quality. Still good in comparison with most boba shops, but noticeably worse than Molly. Unfortunately the boba isn't great - I can see why they didn't have it as an option before. While very sweet and minerally from the brown sugar soak, the texture is a too soft. Decent bounce, but the boba compresses too easily on the tongue. The pearls are also not uniform spheres, instead having rough crags all along the exterior. Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 I'm still leaving Molly as a 5*, but if this had been my first experience I probably would have set it as 4* given the subpar boba quality. They still have top tier milk tea though! One last thing - this place is still really busy. I expected things to die down since it's been open for a year now. Nope, on my Sunday afternoon visit, it still took over 20 minutes between the line and waiting for my drink.

The cheese cap was delicious and the tea itself was just okay Tip to skip the line: order online first and time it to store

A Molly Tea in walking distance is a wee bit dangerous! We recently landed in the area and were stoked to find that Molly Tea was part of the neighborhood! It's always a solid choice- strong teas and great drinks all done super well. My go-to is usually their Premium Jasmine Milk Tea. The tea flavor is fragrant, floral, and always shines through! This location is pretty big with some seating if you wanted to lounge around. However, as with all Molly Teas, it can get busyyyy.

I ordered through the app and my drink was ready right on time! I got a matcha jasmine salted cheese and it was delicious! Not too sweet and it had a great matcha and salty cheese flavor mix. The decor is very cute inside, and they have a small sitting area with tables.

Note for myself: I did not like the peach oolong milk tea or the camellia zest, do not order again. Love their classic tho.

MOLLY TEA @ BELLEVUE Parking here can be a bit difficult. There is a parking lot, but it gets extremely packed since there are so many restaurants and businesses nearby. My friends and I luckily found street parking a little further up, so just be prepared to drive around for a bit if you don't find a spot right away. I've driven by this place so many times and always noticed how long the lines were, so I was surprised when I came on a Wednesday around 8 PM and there was no line. We ordered through the self-service kiosks they had two, but one was out of order, which slowed things down a lot. By the time we finished ordering, a long line had already formed behind us. Service-wise, I have to agree with a lot of the reviews I read beforehand it wasn't great. The staff didn't feel very welcoming, and it almost seemed like they didn't want to interact with customers. I had a few questions about the drinks, but it was hard to get anyone's attention. It also wasn't very clear if they were only doing self-order or not, which made the experience a bit confusing. I ended up getting a jasmine milk tea with boba, and toppings are about $1 each. My friends ordered a mango smoothie as well. The wait time was pretty long around 25 minutes--which felt excessive since there wasn't that many people to start with as we walked in, especially since I kept checking back and forth between the counter and our table. That said, the shop itself has plenty of seating and even a restroom for customers, which is a plus. Once we finally got our drinks, though, they were really good. The milk tea tasted higher quality than most, it wasn't overly sweet like typical boba shops. The boba was soft, flavorful, and the brown sugar added a really nice touch.

Supposedly s-tier smoothie/tea spot. We came here after eating ramen at Santokua next door (which is very good). I waited about 15 minutes for my drink, apparently because the staff ran out of mangoes and had to hand-cut a new batch (good sign that the ingredients are fresh!). The drink to me was just ok, I think it was about $8 with tax and tip. I'd come back with friends again, although I'm not a bubble tea expert in any sense so take my review with a grain of salt. The store itself is aesthetically pleasing with plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your drink.

Not too sweet, very jasmine floral forward. Love the jasmine whip with salted pecan! Can't wait to try the other drinks!

Molly Tea is a stylish, fragrance-forward milk tea brand that stands out for its fresh, floral teas and premium packaging, but it can be hit-or-miss depending on your taste for subtlety and your tolerance for lines and app quirks.

Modern day computerized self service = no human interaction except to pick up your drink. Recommend the Jasmine Milk Tea with reduced sugar. The brown sugar bobas don't taste like real brown sugar as other stores.

Quality of the tea is still phenomenal. Unfortunately service is even worse, though I acknowledge the masses here and at HEYTEA are especially crazy and the workers are under high pressure. On my most recent visit, a worker was cleaning up my drink as it spilled all over the sides. A male worker (manager?) pushed her towards the back, slammed my drinks up front, and walked away while the cup was still leaking. On the bright side, the wait time for Washington Molly Tea is nothing compared to other states. Tables and seats open fairly frequently as most people leave after getting their drinks. Could be any combination of more employees, less customers, or the hasty push for quantity of drinks. I think the latter does reduce quality and inevitably experiences like mine where parts of my drink are already gone before drinking and a messy time taking it to go.

My husband and I went here on a Saturday afternoon after having ramen next door. We did see that there's a lot of people waiting for their drinks and quite a few people still in line. We ordered through the kiosk and the process seemed easy enough. We got one of the Jasmine tea drinks and one of the matcha drinks. We didn't get our order until an hour later. I'm not sure if it's our taste preference but we didn't really find our drinks that good. If we're ever in the area and the line isn't long, we might give it another chance.

Went on a Monday night and guys literally no one there. So please do not be waiting in line for this tea. If I was waiting for a long time and still go the drink I got I would have been even more disappointed. We got three different teas, and I'll be honest I don't even know why I didn't like this places it just honestly makes me sick thinking about it. But literally I would go to any other boba place before I would come here. Omg and lol the ordering process. So confusing and the workers not the most helpful. You order really weird through the screen or your phone. I guess it probably helps them speed up the process but I didn't even know what was good to order so I just got there most popular.

Big selection of great drinks. You can just walk in and order through the electronic kiosk. The atmosphere was awesome too.

BUT they are remarkably consistent, with perfectly chewy pearls and high quality teas. So, even though I'm paying a lot, I know it's going to be good. I got the Dong Ding Oolong with cream, perfect sweet and less ice with boba. The Dong Ding oolong is a high mountain oolong with a strong malty, nutty, roasty taste. It perfectly complements the cream. I prefer cream as opposed to milk since I think the cream gives the drink a thicker, more velvety mouthfeel if you mix it into the tea, plus before mixing you can sip on the cream and the tea separately, so it's like you can enjoy two drinks in one cup!

Unfortunately I found this place just to be OK for me... Perhaps OMO was bit a hyped up for me or maybe I didn't get the right thing... hard to say. The venue is a tiny hole in the wall in the corner of a residential apartment complex. Street parking is your only option. Order form the kiosk and the little kitchen window will call out you number. They are fast and efficient. There is some eccentric limited seating outside in the front of store. More decorative than practical. #Overhyped Treat: OMO Dessert (IN STORE ONLY): ~ Ube S'mores Thai Tea Float - 3/5 While this looked brilliant, I fear it was just OK for me; definitely the case of looks better than it tastes. The presentation was absolutely brilliant! However I thought the taste fell short of the visual delight. The Ube S'mores was more like a light Ube foam instead of Marshmallow Ube S'mores. I didn't think the the Thai Tea or Ube flavor was impactful, I felt both flavors were muted and fairly light. I'll try this place again and order a few items just to be sure... but I won't have high expectations. I do wish to them well and hope they continue to thrive...
