Molly Tea is a very popular boba spot, and there's almost always a long line. I highly recommend ordering online ahead of time and just picking up--it'll save you a lot of waiting. It's conveniently located near Main Street Bellevue and close to one of my favorite ramen spots in the area, Hokkaido Santouka. It has bright white lights inside, you likely won't miss it! The employees are clearly working nonstop and always seem extremely busy--I honestly feel for them given the constant rush at this location. As for the drinks, the boba is good, especially if you're a fan of jasmine tea, which is what they're known for. That said, I'm not sure I'd call it the best boba around, and I personally prefer Chi Cha San Chen. Overall, it's solid, but the long wait may not be worth it unless you're really craving jasmine tea. read more

We went here on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. We had the Jasmine Coconut Tea with Pistachio Foam and Jasmine Milk Tea Boba. It was pretty good. It's very light. You can smell and taste the fragrance of the flower. The pistachio foam adds a complex flavor at the end of every sip. The Milk Boba is refreshing. The space is large, but sparse seating., maybe for 16 people, on a wall banquette. The room is bright and airy, lots of bright modern lighting. The walls are done in very blond wood. Molly Tea is really popular right now. The lines are out the door and the wait is like 30 minutes. For a milk tea. I read that they have an online ordering system now, which is great if you live or work nearby. I ordered a peach milk tea. It was almost $10 and honestly good, but not 30 minute wait good. Also parking is horrendous and there are just so many people standing around waiting for drinks that it's really awkward to come here. What's worse is when you pick up your drink. The worker named Steph was pretty rude. I mean it looked chaotic, so maybe the managers should figure out a way to make the situation better for their workers, but Steph was not happy working here. Definitely killed the vibe. I'd maybe wait until the hype dies down to come back here. It looks cute and the drinks are good, I just can't deal with rude staff and an awkward experience. read more

Soooo good. I knew of this place as a famous boba shop from NY and was so excited to learn that it came to the west side. I had pretty high expectations going in. Parking in the area is street parking. We waited 45 min-1 hour for 2 drinks because this place was PACKED. The whole store was filled, and the line was always out the door. The organization to keep orders straight and moving must be an intense learning curve. The space is much too small for the number of customers they were attracting, but there were a few seats (around 10-15) inside. Each drink came out to be about $9, which is definitely one of the priciest bobas I've ever had. I got the standard Jasmine milk tea with whipped cream on top with normal sweetness (as recommended), and it was incredible! There is that subtle floral taste that lingers and 100% sweetness is really not that sweet. You can see them add the fresh whipped cream at the counter. I normally would not return and pay $9 for a 45-minute wait drink, but this an exception. Definitely would at least try it out (for the experience)! read more

Molly Tea is always pretty busy and trying to find parking is almost non-existent unless you park far away and then walk over. Regardless, we still come by and order drinks whenever we're in the area because their tea is good. Even with how busy it gets inside, we still like coming here when we can. I'm honestly surprised I've never wrote a review for here and unfortunately, am coming here to make my first review here, filled with feedback. Normally back then, we would order our mobile/online order our drinks and then come pick it up at the counter. When picking it up, then they would put the cream and nuts on top to ensure freshness. This time around, it was not that. They handed us a bag for our two drinks and we left. We assumed oh, maybe they just did the whipped cream right before we got here since there was a pick up time/window. No big deal, if it melted then it's fine. When we got to our destination, all I see are two sealed cups, two small bowls, and two plastic containers. So basically, they broke the drink down and are now having us make the drink instead. Would be nice to have something to scoop the cream into the cup but then, we would have to sip some liquid out because putting all the provided cream in the cup, caused it to overflow. To make matters worse, the lids would not seal onto the cups no matter what. Of course, we came to this realization when we picked up the cup and the lid squeezed right off. So even more of a mess. It was honestly such a poor experience that this may be the last time we order from here. It's disappointing to have all that waste in material to "build" your own drink and then have it spilling everywhere due to quality and quantity control. Molly Tea was first recommended to me by a friend who lives in New York as a must get when I visit NYC. Imagine my surprise when I saw a location opening in Bellevue! Pros: Great flavor, quality, packaging, and decor. Cons: Very long line and wait times, confusing pickup. Premium Oat Milk Jasmine Milk tea: Molly Tea is very hyped in the bubble tea community and for good reason, the Premium Jasmine Milk tea is the best tasting milk tea I've ever had. Very strong tea flavor without being overpowering, and I love their inclusiveness with non dairy options. I've also tried their Gardenia and Jasmine tea without milk and loved both, although the Gardenia didn't really taste any different to me than the normal Jasmine Milk tea. However even when I thought the lines were shorter than normal it still took me 30 minutes to get two teas, causing my friends with me who didn't order to be a little annoyed (sorry!) I learned my lesson - either order way in advance online and brave the crowds to ask for your number or order in person when you have a lot of free time to kill. I can see where the hype is but the drinks are a little too fragrant for my liking. The jasmine scent and flavor is really strong in the jasmine milk tea. The matcha one was alright as well. The matcha flavor is subtle. If you really like floral/fragrant drinks, Molly Tea seems like a good fit. They can get pretty busy. I love the tea here and Molly tea never fails to bring modern twists to classic staple drinks. The wait is long, but always worth the quality of the drinks. That being said, I am very displeased with how Molly Tea runs their promotions and communicates to their customers during promotional gift periods. Whenever a promotional gift is available, I ask the staff if it is in stock prior to ordering, then when I pick up my order, they tell me that they already ran out of stock for the day HOURS ago. It's a pretty poor customer experience especially since I order MORE than usual to get these free gifts or order drinks I typically wouldn't. This has happened twice in a row so far and I wish the staff was just communicate honestly or that the company would stock an appropriate amount of stock per day.
