Oh snap, bling, bedizzle that hit the spot my first 5 stars ever and it's tea . It was cool and refreshing and sooooo good by the way it's alittle pricy but worth it ever now and than, I wasn't sure to give it a high rating because if it get busy than I might have to wait

Bubble Volcano and Taro Bubble Milk Tea
Sawako Y.

When we passed by in the morning, it wasn't busy at all. By the afternoon, the line wasn't too long but there were a ton of people waiting for their drinks. We got ours in about 10 min. I ordered the Bubble Volcano (organic milk + brown sugar + bubble) with less ice, which was absolutely delicious. Although there are a few tables, the space inside is quite small, so we found seating elsewhere in the mall. It was the perfect stop for an afternoon bubble tea.

This place always temps me when I'm in the mall. The passion fruit tea is so refreshing and the dragon fruit is delicious. Yeah, it is expensive but you can taste the quality. I love the ambience as well. The boba milk tea is wonderfully balanced and doesn't make me feel sick after. Love the bag with handles- so practical.

My friend and I -- both tea nerds who usually brew our own at home -- decided to try Chicha San to see what their freshly brewed approach was all about. We ordered the milk tea, taro, and fruit tea. Each cup was well-balanced and true to style: the milk tea had a clean, rounded tea backbone, the taro was creamy without being sickly sweet, and the fruit tea tasted bright and fresh. The boba deserves its own mention: chewy and soft with a subtle gummy-bear note that lifts the drinks without overpowering the tea. The standout here is the live-brew ritual. Watching them steep the leaves and build the drink from start to finish felt like a little tea ceremony -- a detail both of us appreciated as people who care about the craft. Service was friendly and the vibe relaxed, perfect for catching up. My friend enjoyed his drink but, like me, found the price a bit steep compared with what we pay to make similar drinks at home.

Located inside the mall, I've been in a recent bubble tea craze so had to add Chicha San Chen to the list. I like that they offer oat milk alternatives and chose the pineapple snowy with oat milk alternative. I like the crunchy topping and the sweetness level.

Giving it 5 stars because of the service and quality of ingredients used! If you like your milk tea on the sweeter side, ask for extra sweet. I didn't and I regretted it. The employees were so helpful and let me try samples before trying something new! You won't find that at other boba places. Their regular boba pearls were so soft and chewy- literal perfection. I ended up with the taro balls which was so good! The line moved pretty quickly as well. Will be back next time we're in Bellevue!

The Osmanthus teas are amazing here! I got a sample of the honey and I love how sweet it was. I got a Osmanthus mango with konjac jelly and i definitely will be getting this combo again; I love how chewy the konjac balls are. Service was amazing, I ordered on a tablet and got my order within 5mins on a Friday afternoon. Decor is beautiful as well, there was some seating inside but it's limited.

Love the holding cup. It feels authentic and convenient.

Love this green tea cafe. High quality green tea flavor and cute Togo cup. Little bit pricey side but it all pays off as soon as you drink it.

This part of my review is for the visit to the location inside Bellevue Square Mall, some time after their first location around Safeway closed down to a Sharetea (and then Unique Green, what's going on with that area anyway???). I've been here during its grand opening when they were handing out free plastic bottles with their logo on them, which you could only get if you wrote them a review on Google. Well, this review is for Yelp, and I came here with family around 2pm or so to lines that kept getting longer and then shorter; people kept coming in and out, and waited near the counter in bunches after placing their orders, either at the kiosks or with the servers themselves. This is located at the mall's first floor near Macy's and a pair of escalators. I always forget what I should be getting here because the drinks don't appeal as much to me as before, so when I got a dong ding oolong tea latte at light sugar and less ice, I thought to myself, "I need to get more sugar in this next time!" I'm pretty sure I've said that many times before, just not in my reviews. At least with the lack of sugar, you can taste how powerful their tea is, and why it takes a while for the servers to make each drink - about 10 or so minutes for four drinks I got. This location doesn't have any seating inside unlike when it used to be Chamei, so it's a grab-and-go situation here. Hype for this place and in my mind has died down considerably but I don't mind coming here every now and then to grab a drink or two.

Fast service every time! I absolutely LOVE their taro balls -- perfectly chewy and delicious. Their fruit teas are super refreshing, making this my go-to tea spot during hot summer days.

I still love this spot! I recently tried the new grape drinks and honestly not a huge fan, so I'll continue only getting tea (though I could try a different flavor next time).

I don't really drink tea nor get boba drinks much anymore. Anyways, we had to go to Bellevue Square and saw this was new, so the other half decided to stop and try something. We shared 1 drink between us and stuck to a more classic choice. Taro Bubble Milk Tea. You can choose a kind of tea, we just got black. Took like 5 mins or so to get your drink. Overall, it was actually pretty good, we enjoyed it, you can definitely taste the tea. Boba was nice and soft too! Staff works hard to get all the drinks knocked out. Depending on what you get, prices are about $9. Cool design to the cup/holder! Next time at Bell Square I would consider coming back to get something again.

Have been a few times now with friends and colleagues, got lucky on all occasions that there was no line, maybe during the week is better than weekends. The staff were very helpful, on one occasion we had a lot of questions and the lady was super patient. They have a broad range of teas to choose from and a small collection of non caffeine drinks too. The prices do feel steep, but it's Bellevue so honestly it's expected. That being said, they are very quick, the teas are freshly brewed and the interior is so cute. You forget you are in a mall! I enjoy the bubble volcano drink (milk, brown sugar and boba), the boba is sooo yum! Definitely recommend if you are in the mall and craving boba!

There's also no seating inside the shop, but they do have some outdoor seating available. I ordered the Thai green tea with less sweet, added ube + Thai tea soft serve, and a waffle on top. The Thai green tea itself was actually really good -- super floral, creamy, and milky. The sweetness reminded me of sweetened condensed milk, which worked really well with the tea flavor. The part I didn't really enjoy was the ube soft serve. Something about the flavor tasted a little off to me, and once it melted into the drink, everything became much sweeter than I wanted. The waffle was also VERY sweet with a strong coconut flavor. Overall, I did enjoy the actual Thai green tea drink a lot, so I'd probably come back for that alone. Next time I'd skip the soft serve and waffle and just keep it simple.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #100…read more One hundred Seattle-Area boba shop reviews, in less than a year since moving to Washington. Yeah, I drink way too much boba... This is certainly the most unique Don't Yell At Me location, consisting of a little standalone building fully enclosed with floor to ceiling windows. The bobarista station is situated right in the center, and there are full walkways with seating surrounding the center in a circular pathway all around. While they don't have dedicated parking, there's limited street parking in front and free 30 minute retail parking in the Bellevue Tower Garage down the street. Traditional Milk Tea, Less Ice, 50% Sweet, Lactose Free Milk w/ Golden Honey Pearls ($6.85) -This drink has a pleasantly strong tea flavor. It's very nicely sweet (not from the sweetener) and has a robust earthy and herbal flavor that kind of tastes like liquid grass jelly. Quite pleasant, and stronger than what I remember receiving from other DYAM locations. Too bad the boba is mediocre. The pearls, small transparent golden balls, are sweetened well in honey, but are far too firm to give a great chew or bounce. Definitely undercooked, albeit not rock hard. Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 Given the undercook on the golden honey pearls and the typically softer brown sugar pearls, I might have to opt for the latter in any future visit. Bathrooms - None

Turns out it's a boba spot. Since we were already there, we decided to grab a snack and hang out for a bit. They've got Hong Kong-style egg waffles for about $5, plus an assortment of desserts like Japanese dessert sandwiches, egg tarts (a few looked a little on the "extra toasted" side), and boba tea in more variations than I could keep track of. If we'd been hungrier, we probably would've ordered more, but we settled on the egg waffle. The space itself feels almost like a bonus add-on to the building kind of a big kiosk and I saw the running supplies over from the building next door. There's a small seating area by the pickup window, but most people seemed to take their orders to go. Our waffle took a long while to come out, but when it did, it was perfectly baked warm, crisp on the outside and that perfect chewiness on the inside, ideal for snacking as we continued exploring the fair. If you're driving, parking nearby might be a bit of a mystery, but if you're already on foot around the Bellevue Galleria, it's worth stopping in for a boba or a quick treat.

But, I was…read moresurprised there was no boba, especially because the kiosk photos clearly showed boba in the tiramisu lattes. I am almost certain that we ordered it, too. It did not come automatically, and it also was not listed as an add-on option at the kiosk. So, if you want boba, order at the front counter instead with a representative. I wish that they clarified that upfront because the visuals were misleading. The staff was not interactive. They were focused on making drinks and keeping the space clean -- which is the bare minimum -- but it did not feel welcoming at all. There was also no clarity on when orders were ready. They would just place the drinks at the front and move on without calling out numbers, or confirming which order was what. It would help a lot if they announced the order number and drink name so that customers know when to step up. There is not much seating here either. It is a pretty tight shop, but thankfully there are other good restaurants and stores nearby, if you want to hang out elsewhere. Parking is a bit tough, so get comfortable with parallel parking on the strest The lighting inside is very bright -- almost too bright -- but honestly, it matches the energy of the tiramisu latte that kept me wide awake. One extra star for the free, collapsible red cup holders that I never seen any other boba shop do, though!

The shop is tidy and had custom Seattle / Bellevue art on the wall, which was a nice local touch. There is a very small section of seating inside, but no tables, so most customers merely just pick up their tea and go. Macu specializes in dessert drinks which sound tempting and indulgent, but all of them are "fixed", so you need to order them as-is with no customizations to the sweetness and ice levels. Since I had just finished lunch, I wanted a lighter drink and noticed their Golden Leaf Tea is a "Macu Exclusive", so I knew I had to try it. It's described as a unique variety of Oolong. You can get the Golden Leaf Tea in just its plain brewed form, in a milk tea, or as part of their Chi-Chi series, which comes topped with cheese foam. + CHI-CHI GOLDEN LEAF TEA w/ 10% sweetness & light ice ($6.00): I feel perplexed by this drink. Despite not having much of a tea flavor, I endured a little caffeine buzz a couple hours later. I am not sure if the tea itself is supposed to be more mild in flavor, but I just couldn't sense its strength. However, the drink was crisp and refreshing, with the 10% sweetness level being perfect for my taste. The cheese foam was pretty light, smooth and not too salty. As I sipped it, the foam melded gradually with the tea and took over the flavor, making it slightly creamy too. One of my companions got the RUBY GRAPEFRUIT LI-LI TEA ($6.75 + $0.75 boba) and couldn't taste the tea either. It was very grapefruit-forward, including lots of pulp from the fruit. She said the boba was nicely cooked and lightly sweetened. We ordered at the kiosk and the staff called our number in just a few minutes. It didn't take long since they just had a couple mobile orders other than ours. I am willing to give Macu another chance, but was just let down since my tea seemed quite diluted compared to other Oolong teas I've ordered elsewhere. 3.25 stars.

I've been here twice, once a few years ago with my cousins, and another three days ago. The people working were attentive and quick with their service. The ambiance of the place is cute, a lot of pink and green, very instagram-worthy, and I saw a few people with friends or working on their laptop so it seems like a great place vibe-wise. To expand on my matcha critique, I found the color to be a little on the green-yellow side, which isn't the end all- be all quality indicator for matcha, but I find matcha lattes that are more rich in color tend to taste better and this tasted like a matcha drink I could make with costco matcha. I've made some decent lattes with costco matcha but once I switched to the more higher quality ones, well, it sorta refined my tastes. There isn't a lot of parking, and to be fair, a lot of people who are in downtown Bellevue are parked elsewhere else and likely just meander their way to the cafe. However, if you're coming in by car, I'd suggest parking by the apartments nearby, DO NOT park at the Chase Bank lot, even if the bank itself is closed (learned my lesson...). Overall, a 3.7-3.9. Could be better. Maybe with other additives like cold foam or strawberries, the drink is better, but I'm judging based off the basic latte.
