Service is friendly taking my order (first time) but also can be distracted-hectic (second time). The interior is basic. I didn't stay. Both visits were to-go. Be aware that parts of this Juanita area, including the streets, are part of the development and is NOT regular city-parking. They are notorious for ferocious private parking meter-readers (not part of the city). Be sure to read the sign before leaving the vehicle. The Drinks and Food: Chocolate Oolong Milk Tea, $6.75(L) - 3.5 Stars The cashier said this is their most popular drinks. It still tasted quite sweet at 30% sweetness. Hubby said it tastes more like a chocolate milk. Ding it, he's right. (See what I did there.) Egg Coffee, $6.25 - 4 Stars Egg coffee is a northern Vietnamese specialty. Being in a paper cup takes away some of the charm, but such as is the U.S. lifestyle. It tasted as expected, a stronger, more roasted Viet coffee flavor. Mango Ice Tea, $6.75 - 3.5 Stars This is more of a mango drink with some tea taste - very fruity tea. Pandan Bubble Waffle, $7 - 4 Stars I came the second time mostly for this waffle. Served with whip cream and toasted coconut flake, the cashier looked at me like I grew an extra eye when I said whip cream only, no coconut. She literally didn't know how to respond to me. I am guessing they pre-pack the cream with the coconut already in it, and she didn't have time to pack another one. She handed us the bag with what we didn't want and left. Great staff,drinks and now Banh Mi! I Love this place albeit small and limited seating inside. As a Senior Citizen I was there with two other Vietnamese people (or Asians) An Asian male and female were sitting down on a better seating area. While there were other cushion/seats there. It would have been nice if one of the two people sitting down could have offered me a better place to sit. I don't expect them to be a mind reader or anything but it would have been nice to seem be more aware. Even when after I had seen the one young Asian woman go behind the counter where the order taker waswhichmade me assume I may be wrong. Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #66 It's funny - I used to consider Ding Tea to be a chain not known for quality control, serving mediocre boba for below average pricing. Now the more locations that I visited, the more I find Ding Tea to be one of the best large franchise boba chains, albeit with variable pricing. Ding Tea does seem to be a bit lax on franchise requirements - as long as there are some standard menu drinks, it seems like corporate is okay with individual franchises adding some flair to their locations. This particular one introduces a variety of Vietnamese coffee drinks, including a coffee flight, which we were especially intrigued by and ended up ordering. The interior is quite cozy with only a couple of tables to sit at to sip on drinks. It doesn't seem like a place to hang out for an entire afternoon or anything, but still feels welcoming. I especially love how the employees here label each tea dispenser with a big sheet of paper that details when the tea was last brewed. It's an easy way to tell that they care about their tea! Peach Ice Tea, Large w/ Golden Boba ($8.75) - Good tangy fruity flavor that bursts on the tongue at the start, then dissipates making way for a slight bitterness and astringency of tea. I don't normally get fruit teas, and instead prefer a nice milk tea, but sometimes that fruity element with the tea is quite refreshing. Sweetness at 100% is actually pretty appropriate for this drink and even ice at 100% is at a good level. The boba is a bit on the softer side, but has a great bounce, and plenty of chew, especially towards the center. The exterior couple of millimeters are a bit on the mushy side. Pricing is a little on the high side compared to other boba shops in the area and is noticeably higher than other Ding Tea locations around Seattle. Drink Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 Coffee Flight ($12) - An order comes with three different iced coffees chosen by the customer. Ding Tea gives recommendations on the menu and we went with that. I don't drink coffee very much, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt. HCMC Latte - This tastes like strongly brewed coffee mixed with condensed milk. It's creamy, sweet, yet retains a lot of the coffee bitterness and depth. Salt Coffee - This seems to be the same coffee base with a salted souffle foam, similar to salted cheese foam other boba shops have. It's slightly salty, sweet, and when mixed together with the coffee, tempers down the natural caffeine bitterness quite a bit. Egg Coffee - The egg cream has a very nice eggy flavor, is quite sweet, creamy and rich. Mixed into the coffee base, the drink becomes very foamy, and somehow the acidic elements get enhanced in the coffee to create a drink that's tastes a bit too acidic for my tastes. Overall the drinks served at this Ding Tea are pretty solid. Pricing is a bit high, so I'm not sure I would make it my go-to in Kirkland, but I would definitely visit once in a while. Five stars for quality of food. Sustainability. Ethically sourced. Organic. These are hard to come by! The customer service is typically slower than normal. But has to be expected when you are a specialty shop like they are versus Starbucks. The staff is usually on the calmer side, but never rude. And pretty informative when I ask 1 million questions about things on the menu. They've always been very helpful. The owners are lovely! The tofu sandwich is delicious! For our American pallets accustomed to spice they definitely need to clarify that it's spicy. They have a new Matcha coffee banana drink and it is phenomenal. I highly recommend it!! I love their Vietnamese coffee!!! I have tried a few of their bubble teas and they are not my personal preference. But everything from 36th St. coffee that I've tried has been absolutely unbelievable and that is what I recommend to everyone! I'm a huge Ding Tea fan so it's neat that there's a triangle between the northside (Lynnwood), Seattle (UW), and eastside (Kirkland). The Lynnwood and Kirkland locations are related while the UW one is independent of them. I will say, this location and Lynnwood seem to have a higher price on everything when compared to a typical franchise (even Seattle prices) but they're up there as one of my favorite spots north of Seattle for consistency and taste. They also serve Viet coffee and banh mi here as part of their 36 Streets brand, which is also worth noting. Since they combined a personal brand with Ding Tea, there may be differences compared to most Ding Tea franchises, especially with the menu. read more

New boba tea and Vietnamese coffee shop in the Juanita Village complex, next to Juanita Beach. Pretty small shop with some small stools, tables and a bench shelf on one of the walls to sit on. Went on a weekday afternoon and no other customers in the shop. Ordered a large taro boba milk tea with half ice and half sugar, and a pandan bubble waffle. Total was like $15. The taro boba tea was tasty. They have a taro paste that is half mixed with the boba tea and I can still some of the taro texture. They use a less chewy boba in this combination. As for the bubble waffle, the pandan means that the waffle has a light green batter, but it only shows on the edges that didn't get crisped up. The taste is like a standard bubble waffle. The pandan flavor is probably too subtle to make out. They put cream and toasted coconut flakes as toppings which is nice. Overall a decent little boba tea place. May come back to try their Vietnamese coffee and sandwiches. read more

This place is VERY good. It's in Juanita across the street from Starbucks and I go here often. I've had the Matcha a couple times, the honey milk tea with golden boba, and the Oolong chocolate milk tea. I've also had the Banh Mi from the coffee shop attached to it. Personally, It's all amazing. Another awesome place to get your drink and walk to the water on a warm and sunny day. They also have these cool stickers from an artist that you can Venmo, which is really cool! The only thing I wouldn't get again is the black boba. I just wasn't a fan. My husband found this place, and we decided to give it a try. The shop is a little small and there is a little seating but not too much. This was our first time, so we weren't sure how to order, and the girls were helpful but didn't explain things too well. We just had to guess at ordering, but I think we muddled our way through. We met the owner Lilly and she was so nice. I ordered the Mango souffle slush, my husband got the grape souffle slush, and my son got the Brulee Caramel milk tea. It was really good. They had fresh fruit in the fruit teas which is a really nice tough. I love when they add fresh fruit. It makes it taste so good and refreshing. Definitely recommend you try it out. Ding Tea has recently opened in Kirkland. I visited on their grand opening day, where they were quite busy. There is some seating inside and also a couple low tables and chairs outside. Ordered their signature milk tea, since they were having a grand opening promotion of buy one get one free on this drink. I noticed that the signature milk tea didn't seem to be on the menu though, so maybe it's not a standard menu item. The tea tasted good, but was on the sweeter side, despite the 50% sugar level. Beyond thrilled to have a Ding Tea on the Eastside! After just a single visit they've already ascended to my Top 3 local boba places. We visited during their grand opening to take advantage of the BOGO deal on the classic milk tea. I tried the classic milk tea with 50% sweetness and egg pudding topping. The drink was perfectly sweet with a pronounced tea flavor, and the egg pudding added a delightfully rich texture. It tasted very fresh. Despite it being busy, the line moved efficiently and our barista was so friendly. The only downside of this location is how small the interior is. It's already cramped quarters and they also share a space with a Vietnamese coffee shop. Definitely a place to grab and go, rather than gather with friends. read more

Vietnamese coffee is my favorite kind of coffee, but there aren't that many places in the area that do it more traditionally. 36 Streets Vietnamese Coffee is on the more traditional end of that fare, with seating and tables that mimic a true cafe in Vietnam. This means that the seating is not particularly comfortable, so do not plan to stake out with a laptop and get any work done. But, if you're here for a traditional Vietnamese coffee experience, this is your place. If you've never been to this particular location before, you should hands-down get the coffee flight. For $12, you get a sampler of 3 different kinds of Vietnamese coffee, and is well worth it. Each coffee is unique not only in taste, but texture as well due to the added meringue-like toppings added to several of them. The robustness and sweetness of each variety is unique as well, so the flight makes for a fantastic experience. The food here is also great, though limited. The Pandan Bubble Waffle is delightfully subtle with its pandan flavor and has decadent, thick whipped cream in the middle. I am biased, because like I said, Vietnamese coffee is my favorite, but this may be my favorite coffee in the state. When you combine the traditional atmosphere with the great variety of coffees, 36 Streets Coffee makes for a great Sunday morning coffee shop. Just be prepared to be absolutely wired for the rest of the day since the coffee is full of caffeine! read more

We saw this place pop up on Instagram as both a Ding Tea and Vietnamese Coffee Shop & Cafe (36 Streets) and immediately made plans to come by. The staff said they source their ingredients from Vietnam and are family-owned We initially ordered one of their Bahn Mi combos with a condensed milk coffee, and a regular size milk tea, but my partner went back in and got us the Pandan Bubble Waffle with Coconut Cream because I couldn't stop thinking about it. We sat out front at the small tables and chairs they provided to enjoy the sunshine and the staff was kind enough to bring everything out when it was ready. We were really impressed by the coffee - it was so smooth and had the strong-ness of Vietnamese coffee, but was balanced out with the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess from the condensed milk. The milk tea was also good, and on par with other Ding Tea drinks I've had (which I'm so excited knowing we have one close to us!). I usually don't have Bahn Mi cause I can't eat cilantro, but I had a couple bites of it to taste and it was delicious. The bread was perfect. Fresh, crispy, and pressed into a panini-like style. The Pandan Waffle was also sooo good - the coconut cream with flakes of toasted coconut really tied it all together and made it enjoyable to eat. We're really looking forward to coming back again! Immediately when I entered the atmosphere was so small and cozy. They have cute stickers you can buy and boba related stuffies you can cuddle with while you sit down. The tables are a little wobbly and definitely not the best quality I have seen. We got the monster boba which is just a brown sugar boba. This is for 36 Streets Vietnamese coffee. I love my cà phê sữa đá, and it's very difficult to find ones that are not super sweet. I know you can't really compare to the ones in Vietnam, but still doesn't hurt to try. We got a cà phê sữa đá and a salted egg coffee. I unfortunately had to ask them to remake my cà phê sữa đá because it was wayyyy too sweet. Probably as sweet as Coffeeholic. Half sweeten was better, but still really didn't hit the spot. The salted egg coffee wasn't bad, but the cream was super thick, so make sure you really stir it. All in all, if you're ok with sweet cà phê sữa đá this place might be for you! However, I'll stick to my main places for Vietnamese coffee. read more

What an absolute gem! Total package when it comes to ambiance, food and service. I luv their story of their coffee beans from Vietnam to USA, learn a little Vietnamese from the cutest books (from their childhood comics) they have in the store. The Banh Mi combo totally worth it. Their Vietnamese coffee is really good and really strong, I would recommend drinking it before 3 pm! My dad is a coffee snob, and he was super impressed by his Vietnamese coffee. The owners and employees are super nice, and they actually care where their beans come from and what the quality is like. A Boba tea and Vietnamese coffee spot that does both extremely well! My wife is Chinese and I'm Vietnamese, and when I hear "fusion" I'm skeptical, but this spot is legit! My wife orders the boba (their cheese source isn't like a traditional cheese foam, but the flavor is great). I order the Vietnamese coffee.
