    Assam milk tea with boba
    Kyle W.

Some of the best boba I've tried in the Seattle area - but caveat I took 2 stars off because there was hair inside the drink. I went here for some boba to try out something new. Like other reviews say, the drinks here are very expensive but are good quality which I can vouch for the most part. You could easily spend $10 for a drink if you get a large and add toppings. I got the assam boba milk tea and got it less ice but still got the same amount of liquid which is nice. The tea is strong and very flavorful, so you do know that they use premium ingredients here. Boba is perfectly chewy, hard to find a place in Seattle offering such quality! I was well on my way to write a 5 star review until I noticed there was a hair inside the drink that I had to spit out. Disgusting. They need to recheck their boba quality batch Friday 3/21 12:30pm One thing I wish they do is to add their logo to their cups so it'll be nice for food pictures. Or a better placement of the shop name so to show this boba is from this place. Just general feedback, not a big deal

    Jasmine Green Milk Boba Tea

I was in the area and thought I'd try a new place, but I did not enjoy my drink unfortunately. I ordered the jasmine green boba milk tea, but then was told it didn't come with boba (tapioca) so I added it as a topping which was an extra $1.25. All together it was $8 BEFORE tip. When they handed me the drink I was surprised at how tiny it was given the price, maybe 12oz. I've been to a lot of boba places and this was the smallest I've ever gotten. The jasmine tea was a bit bitter, and even though I asked for 50% sweet it was too sweet. The taste of the brown sugar syrup from the boba also overwhelmed the jasmine tea flavor. Overall really disappointed.

    - pricy but delicious strawberry yogurt smoothie- We are rarely in the area, but this is a cool store to check out. It's tiny and doesn't fit a lot of people for dining in (it's more like a snack bar), but it has a nice vibe. I ordered the strawberry yogurt smoothie with brown sugar boba, which had an outrageous price that was over $9. However the drink is large and the flavor was good. I enjoyed the drink and the boba was nice and chewy. It's a shame that it's expensive, but I did enjoy the drink since it has a good balance of sweetness and tartness. It's unlikely for us to return since it's quite far and we live next to so many boba shops, but I will get something else here if I am ever in the area again. Ps. The staff was super polite.. he walked out behind the counter to hand me my drink in person with 2 hands... Unlike most shops that just leave the drinks on the counter..

I dropped by Mauritius Brown Bubble Tea after eating lunch in the area, looking for a sweet drink. I didn't expect it to be a chain coming from Korea, based on what the signage outside states. They definitely show the Korean influence, serving kimbap and ramyun (complete with an "EZ Cook" ramyun food cooker), in addition to various drinks. I got the most basic tea possible, as usual with new-to-me boba shops. Assam Boba Tea, 100% Sweet, 50% Ice ($6.99) - I originally asked for 50% sweet but the bobarista warned me that the drink is premixed and the sweetness mostly comes from the boba. To get less sweet, they actually reduce the amount of boba they put in the drink. He said that their drinks are less sweet than most boba shops in the first place and I can confirm - full sweetness here is similar to half sweet at other places. The drink is very milky in terms of both taste and texture. There's a very pleasing minerally and caramelly brown sugar taste that adds sweetness. Unfortunately the tea taste is very light, bordering on imperceptible, making the drink overall more like a brown sugar fresh milk drink rather than a milk tea. This drink comes with boba, which has a nice sweetness on the outside and is very smooth. The pearl size is smaller than the average boba shop, and the cook is more firm than usual. I'd say the texture is kind of on the rubbery side, almost feeling like chewing into one of those sticky feet toys. Not terrible, but not anywhere near the best texture. They give quite a bit of boba, resulting in about a fifth of the boba left even after all the liquid is gone. Some pearls stick together and become very difficult to suck up the straw. Milk Tea Rating: 3.5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 Pricing is about average, but the size is much smaller than competitors, at 16oz vs. 22oz at most other shops. This means this place approaches pricing of the premium bubble tea shops. The drink seems to be somewhat higher quality than most in terms of ingredients, but I'm not sure the large price premium is warranted. Bathrooms - none

I had Mautitus Brown Bubble Tea bookmarked for over a month, and finally had the opportunity to check it out with The Homie (7/20/24). I had an inkling where it was, as I had visited Kenmore for another indie cafe and restaurant in the past. My gps kept insisting on a nearby housing unit though. Anyways, it is located next door to The Landing. There's street parking and a shared 2 hour lot with other adjacent businesses. It sure was lively with the spray park full of kids and folks enjoying the summer afternoon. We waited in line as a previous customer's beverage was being remade. When it was our turn, we placed an order for a Special Brown Sugar Milk Tea and a Rooibos Milk Boba ($6.99 each). We were informed that they were out of boba. A new batch was being prepped but would take about half an hour. We decided to wait and finished the transaction with tax & tip. There's two tables with six chairs and a counter with another four hightop stools. During our wait, there were a lot of folks that also wanted specialty beverages. Clearly well established near a public square. The Homie saw there were also croffles, but wanted to try the peanut butter mochi in the refrigerated case. He was given two for free since we had been waiting onsite for the boba pearls. Tasty...I can only imagine had it been strawberry or grape mochi, it would gave been a pb&j. Our beverages were finally brought to us. However, it was not what we ordered and have the online receipt as proof. We ended up with a pair of Taro bubble teas ($6.29 each), not the Special Brown Sugar milk tea & Rooibos boba tea ($6.99 each). The flavor was like cereal milk and the fresh boba was not under or over cooked, Goldilocks just right. I decided not to quibble and wrote off the incorrect bevs & overcharge with the peanut butter mochis. Pleasant family run franchise. Nice to find a northend spot with decent hours 12noon to 8pm.

This place has such nice service, the guy taking our order heard us debating different drinks and gave us sample of the different drinks we were discussing. It was a nice spot with a couple places to sit. There was a parking lot right outside which is nice. I thought my peach tea was just alright, I think it needed more than 50% sugar tho. When the guy gave me a sample it was much better so I guess my bad for asking to making it a little sweeter. I would've asked for more sweetness after as he had offered but it ended up getting busy and I didn't wanna interrupt.

Welcoming a new boba spot to Kenmore, one of the first around this area. It's also the first Mauritius Brown in Washington (the one down south is not affiliated with this brand at all). They specialize in brown sugar boba using unrefined sugar. Overall the tea was faint but the boba was flavorful and sweet! Unfortunately their ice and sugar levels are in 50%s rather than having a lighter option (25% sugar). There are some counter seats and then two small circular tables with three seats each. There are two parking lots nearby, one looks to be free and was packed since there's a lot of things in the plaza. The other parking lot does cost money. Grand opening today (June 7) and I'm sure they're still flushing things out. With that said, benefit of the doubt for many things, but very hopeful it'll be the best in the area for a while. Assam Bubble Tea - Assam is a black tea and it's evident but not that strong. Definitely tasted like milk with a splash of tea. Boba was sweet with a fair texture, chewy but not bouncy. Taro Bubble Tea - taro never disappoints but their taro was a bit stronger in flavor despite being a typical powder creation. I quite enjoyed the taro here as there was a good flavor! Earl Grey Bubble Tea - I thought the tea was pretty weak. Tasted more like a brown sugar boba drink (with milk) rather than a milk tea. Boba was again, sweet and chewy.

Small indoor dining available but lots of choices for beverages. They have some small prepackaged bites to purchase. Staff were knowledgeable, kind, and quick. Really enjoyed our drinks. You have the option to select how sweet and how much ice your drink has. Happy to support this new business in Kenmore and chose to sit outside.

Lovely place in Kenmore that just opened up. Large selection of boba tea, cream cheese tea, special tea, non coffee lattes, smoothies, iced teas, and sparkling refreshers. The staff was super friendly and helpful in helping us pick what drink. I loved how the drinks weren't super sweet. I will be coming back.

New cozy bubble tea place in Kenmore. This charming spot has quickly become my favorite place for bubble tea. I tried plain yogurt smoothie and earl grey boba tea. Smoothie was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness and a rich, thick texture. The boba was soft and chewy. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming I'm definitely coming back to try different drinks and croffle.

Fortunately, there was no traffic so it was a 20 min drive easily. However, a lot seemed to have changed from about a year ago? We got popcorn chicken which was $9 for a very tiny plate (like the medium size sampler food container you get at food tasting events) which is a joke of a portion, and the chicken was not even good quality - heavy on the batter. Compared to pictures a year ago, where the portions looked much much larger. They are so stingy on the amount of chicken, that I thought they were giving us a sample to try before they make a real batch lmaooooo. I tried the Kocochi milk tea with creme brulee, boba, jelly, etc. Sounds good on paper, inflation I get it, was expecting $7 but it was $8, plus tax, so it is actually not that competitive of a price anymore now that I think about it. I could get a very good quality boba drink for $7.50+tax elsewhere without all the fancy toppings, but with boba included. I was pretty disappointed with the quality. The boba is so overcooked that it is mushy, and the creme brulee was not thick enough that I have to use a spoon to even be able to get any of it out (instead of being able to drink it from the other side which is what it is supposed to be). I'd avoid this place unless this is a one off but I will need to be redeemed a better experience before recommending this place. There are better options in the area

They are notorious for ferocious private parking meter-readers (not part of the city). Be sure to read the sign before leaving the vehicle. The Drinks and Food: Chocolate Oolong Milk Tea, $6.75(L) - 3.5 Stars The cashier said this is their most popular drinks. It still tasted quite sweet at 30% sweetness. Hubby said it tastes more like a chocolate milk. Ding it, he's right. (See what I did there.) Egg Coffee, $6.25 - 4 Stars Egg coffee is a northern Vietnamese specialty. Being in a paper cup takes away some of the charm, but such as is the U.S. lifestyle. It tasted as expected, a stronger, more roasted Viet coffee flavor. Mango Ice Tea, $6.75 - 3.5 Stars This is more of a mango drink with some tea taste - very fruity tea. Pandan Bubble Waffle, $7 - 4 Stars I came the second time mostly for this waffle. Served with whip cream and toasted coconut flake, the cashier looked at me like I grew an extra eye when I said whip cream only, no coconut. She literally didn't know how to respond to me. I am guessing they pre-pack the cream with the coconut already in it, and she didn't have time to pack another one. She handed us the bag with what we didn't want and left. I should lower the rating more, but I do like this waffle.

I'm a creature of habit and often stuck to the other side of the complex. I did not realize that One Bite Cafe took over the former Great Harvest Bread. I had checked out One Bite Cafe before in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood out of curiosity regarding croffles, but it didn't not leave a lasting impression at the time (open since 2019, with that visit in July 2022). However, when The College Friend set up a meet up at the Lake Forest Park site yesterday (open since May 2022, this visit on 4/9/26). There is an interior entry from the two level retail area and an exterior entry adjacent to the big shared parking lot. It took me a few tries until I found a spot. I was kindly greeted upon entry while the counter person was assisting the customer ahead of me. I ordered and paid directly on the convenient touch screen kiosk located to the left of the main register. I liked the interior transformation. Lots of onsite seating configurations and pleasant decor. Overhead music played the Beatles, which was a pleasant surprise. The wrap around pastry cases with well placed menu placards showed the variety of menu offerings. There's a wide variety of bevs, sweet and savory pastries, desserts, sandwiches, and even gluten free items from NuFlours. I ordered a 22oz iced classic milk tea with 75% sweetness and no toppings, plus some Korean sausage bread. The College Friend decided on a toasted Reuben with chips. We also shared a Portuguese egg tart. We were onsite for three hours. I noticed a constant stream of customers who also dined onsite, as well as, folks getting items to go. I appreciated observing the consistent pleasant and helpful counter staff, all with welcoming smiles! I learned that One Bite Cafe has grown to four sites: Seattle/Roosevelt, Lake Forest Park, Woodinville, and Federal Way. That's great to see ongoing success for this local, indie cafe chain. Lake Forest Park Town Center is lucky to have a variety of cafe, bar, and restaurant destinations. One Bite Cafe gets a collective 5 star for this first time visit.
