there is plenty of parking space out front. they have a good amount of seating. the inside of the boba shop is so cute surrounded by cute plants and cute furniture. the staff is very nice and knowledge about their menu. they're also willing to make you drink better to what you want. they have organic tea leaves for to smell at the front counter. i ordered the dalgona honeycomb toffee latte and the coffee flavor is SOOOOO GOOD. i love how they don't up charge for alternative milk as well, which is very rare! i loved the creamy texture and sweetness of my drink! read more

Not to say that I expected it to be bad, but it's just a very lowkey spot- it's completely hidden away from any main roads and is in a highly competitive area. Drink: (4/5) I think the strawberry four seasons crema is a seasonal drink so you know we had to try it. The tea itself had such a nice herbal flavor that definitely sets it apart from artificial strawberry drinks. The crema was a little salty, and together they balanced each other really well. I've visited Tobi's Tea a couple more times since my initial visits, and I've homed in on my favorite drink here: Hong Kong Style Milk Tea, Hot, 50% Sweet w/ Boba ($6.80) - This is an excellent milk tea. The sweetness is perfectly not too sweet, allowing the bitterness of the caffeine and aroma of the tea to shine. The condensed milk is complementary, adding body and richness. Is this the most traditional HK Milk Tea? No, but it doesn't have to be and it's delicious on a cold and rainy day. I've found that the boba served at Tobi's Tea is almost always a tad too firm, but adding them to a hot drink instead of a cold drink really enhances the texture so that it's pretty much on the dot perfectly chewy and bouncy. The only caveat - do not get this drink hot if the boba is from a fresh batch. The previous time I went, I arrived right after opening and the boba was still a couple of minutes from being ready. When I finally received my drink, the pearls hadn't had time to firm up in syrup yet and the boba conglomerated into a gigantic blob in my drink, making it impossible to suck up the straw. So my tip: ask when the boba was last turned over. If it's a fresh batch, a cold drink is probably the way to go. Otherwise, go with the hot Hong Kong milk tea! read more

Overall, the ambience of the shop and the look of the drinks were very earthy and cute. I just didn't prefer the boba and the drink overall. I didn't like the way the boba was sweetened, although I thought the texture were perfectly chewy and soft. Both the flavorings in these drinks were in the form of jams, made for each fruit. I was excited to find another place that offered Green Thai Milk Tea, but Tobi's version unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations. It was watery and flavorless, although looked green. I could taste a lot of the evaporated milk. The dalgona latte was better, foamy and crunchy. It was quite hard to mix though, and we got sticky dalgona all over our hands trying to mix it. Luckily there is a restroom in the cafe to wash our hands :) There is ample free parking which makes going on a boba run very convenient. Cutest boba shop in Lynnwood! They have cute plant decor all over the wall, for your Instagram story. Their crème brulee drink is so bomb! It was apparently a hit with all of my cousins, so much that they had to come back for a second round within the same week. If you get the Ube latte, make sure to shake it up and mix it properly before drinking because otherwise it just tastes like milk. It is however quite a pretty drink before it's mixed! Been waiting for Tobi's Tea for a while but they opened when I moved back to the U-District so I hadn't had the chance to visit until recently. While I wasn't blown away, they are still new and soft opening. That being said, for the area, Tobi's Tea is above average because most of the hot boba spots are down south in Seattle. When asking for half ice, they literally filled one cup to half ice. Hoping that it was an oversight and doesn't happen again but it did mean less drink that would've watered down fast had we waited a bit longer. Boba was chewy but not particularly impressive. Creme Brulee Pearl Latte - I guess it only comes in the smaller size which is unfortunate for the price, but it was a creamy sweet drink. They did the creme brulee well. Ube Latte - A very aesthetically pleasing look but if you don't mix well, it is literally milk in the middle. Give it a few shakes after you snap your pictures because it won't look as pretty afterwards but it'll taste more like the ube latte you expect. Made the mistake of stabbing the straw in and had to use a lot of effort to stir around. Pineapple Black Tea - tasted like pineapple juice and black tea. I mean it's literally described. Upon stumbling across IG ads and stories, found this cute little shop located in Lynnwood. Overall, visit was pretty pleasant and below are some key notes: Parking - Plentiful, no need to stress on finding a place Interior - IG Worthy, especially for those who likes to take pictures with the boba. Just note there isn't any seating in store at this time. Price - Pretty reasonable! :) Take a look at the menu and I do appreciate the fact if you decide to pick an alternative to standard milk, there's no up charge. Verdict on drinks: -Watermelon Lychee Refresher: Quite tasty slushie but highly recommend letting it melt a bit to get the flavor. Otherwise, the first few sips = just ice and not much flavor. If you're a fan of lychee, add some lychee jelly to enhance the flavor of this drink. Passionfruit Green Tea: Ordered regular sugar and it's bit too sweet. Couldn't taste the passionfruit as much either :( Pineapple Black Tea: Similar to the the passionfruit tea, pineapple taste wasn't as pronounced and it had a slight herbal like aftertaste. Even though 2/3 drinks were a bust, I do believe there's quite a bit of potential with this place. Definitely will try a second attempt in the future and see if the other drinks are up to par. read more

We heard about this new boba shop that opened up in Lynnwood and stopped by over the weekend to take advantage of their BOGO deal. Tobi's Tea is located in a large plaza with ample parking. There's currently no inside seating so we ended up drinking our drinks in the parking lot. I liked that next to the cashier you can sniff the different tea leaves used in their drinks. We ordered the creme brûlée pearl latte ($5.95) and the watermelon lychee refresher ($5.95). The creme brûlée pearl latte at first tasted a little watery with not much flavor at all. The brûlée-d portion on top had the more flavor with some sweetness. As the drink sat for longer more of the sweetness started coming out but not much more. The drink was also a smaller size but for the same price as a larger drink. The watermelon lychee refresher also tasted watery with less watermelon flavor than we would've expected. However it didn't have the same fate as the other one as this drank did not get better with time. The sweetness for this drink couldn't be adjusted either. You also don't taste much lychee in the drink itself unless you put your straw at the bottom of the drink against a lychee bit. We asked if 100% sweetness was too sweet and the cashier said no so we stuck with that level. I think the sweetness level could've been higher but overall it just felt more watery than anything else. The 100% sweetness would've been like a 50% at other boba shops which is fine if you like less-sweet drinks, but I think there should be a higher level of sweetness for those with more of a sweet tooth (or maybe they could've accommodate a 125% sweetness level if asked?). It could also be that it's a new shop so they're still working out the kinks. read more

Lets get to the judgement: Ube Latte: Fire. Actual Fresh Ube and straight up Milk. Lol that was literally it. Mixed that up and it blended perfectly not too sweet, just straight goodness.They said the milk they use is diff n said its from cali, so if thats a thing and u want that Cali milk this is the wave. Get This. Creme Brulee Pearl Latte: Fire. Boba was nice and chewy, but that creme brulee top knocked it out the park like Guy Fieri. Get this. Its a bit of a drive for those that dont live in Lynnwood, but for the Seattle area as a whole Tobis is worth the little trek to try. The Cali milk is just diff. I was surprised to see the barista hand mixing the matcha in a bowl with a whisk while it was being made. It's the good stuff! After you're done playing paparazzi, you're supposed to shake it really well before drinking. I was surprised at how smooth it went down once it was all mixed. The flavor was a perfect blend of sweetness, matcha, and mango tang. None of the ingredients overpowered the others in this one. My taste buds were hit with sweetened matcha, creamy milk, followed by a hint of mango tang with each sip. The mango bits here and there were also a plus. Overall, perfectly balanced drink and I didn't feel like I was drinking liquified sugar (like some other bubble tea joints). Creme Brulee Pearl Latte: oh that top layer is rich but good. No wonder they give you less of it to drink...haha! Once it's all mixed, it is a very lovely creme brulee flavored milk that is not to sweet at all. Something I could sip (but shouldn't) all day. Brown Sugar Boba: a bit on the smaller side in the topping world and a little on the chewy side but you can still taste the brown sugar. Crystal Boba: more of a texture addition rather than a flavor addition to your drink. It might be slightly sweetened but the drink definitely overpowers the flavor. Get this only if you want to add texture to your drink and something to chew on. Not as chewy as the brown sugar boba but more satisfying to eat in my opinion.
