Food and drinks are great however service, atmosphere, and consistency are lacking. My most recent visit was Saturday 06/06/26. I hadn't been back since a previous bad experience almost a year ago now and wanted to give this place another try. Same bad service. The bad service I received almost a year ago that made me stop coming to this place was I stopped by for lunch and got a grilled pork banh mi and asked for little to no/ very light mayo or whatever spread is on it as the visit before was too much for me and wanted to avoid that... Staff wasn't friendly that day. When I was eating the sandwich instead of little to no mayo it had globs like no exaggeration a lot/too much mayo spread for me so I did tear off a piece of the bread that I couldn't get the mayo off of and tried to take off the other globs and continued eating. I did not waste food. I just wasted the globs and a small piece of bread. I bussed my own table as that seems to be un clear if you do or don't and put the trash in the trash(globs of mayo +piece of bread) and plate near the counter. A staff member exited the kitchen and walks towards the register near the trash can and she proceeded to open the trash can and keep it open, looked at me and asked how was everything. I was honest and told her I always enjoy the food however today too much mayo and she just kept peering down at my trash in the trash and then her coworker exited the kitchen to join the convo and no sorry or anything...just kept her foot on the trash to keep it open and both employees looked at the trash and looked at me rudely so I told them thank you have a nice day and was off put by the experience. They were treating me like I was wasting or complaining. It was truly so weird like why keep the trash open and almost like try to embarrass me or treat me like I did something wrong? Also why no smiles, why no empathy. I don't like mayo..big deal! I still ate that whole sandwich! Recent visit on 06/06/26. Walked in and cafe wasn't busy, but trash on the floors and dirty tables. Two women. One seemed to be in training. No smiles, no welcome in, just a frown (no joke the woman training the other I believe was frowning and she looked mad) and a what can I get you? I ordered for dine in but was given to go box and to go utensils. I have to assume they just didn't want to do the dishes as one couple had dine in plates and were actually pointing to each other the trash on the floor and discussing their meal. I ordered the pho banh mi so I wouldn't have to worry about a mayo situation tbh. Food was flavorful and good. Portions seem to be a bit smaller than what I remember. If they added actual pho to the menu I bet it would be a hit! To-go ordering seems the popular thing here and if I return is what I'll do. Just sad as this used to be my fav spot but now I've found a better place with better service and food. Drinks here and food is super tasty but wish service, cleanliness, and atmosphere could be improved! Service is important and with my past two visits I feel it's a very unwelcoming atmosphere with the staff being hostile and cold and cafe seating indoors and outdoors are dirty. For me when spending my money somewhere I don't want to be treated poorly or like I'm an inconvenience or just being tolerated. Quick, reasonably priced, and overall very yummy! This is a small spot in shoreline that has a large variety of drinks and lunch items. They also have wifi so it is totally possible to study and do work at the cafe too. I would say it is a little small for a large party but it would be a perfect stop for a casual, quick lunch. I have gotten drinks and food here and each time it has been fast and good. I have gotten the triple matcha twice and it is a huge and super yummy! It is on the sweeter side but that is perfect for me because I do prefer my drinks a bit sweeter. The service is quite fast and friendly! Our friend who lives in Shoreline recommended Eden Garden Cafe to us so we tried it out for dinner around 5:45pm on Thursday. The staff were very nice and welcoming, and the place was small but cozy and had three tables. They do a brisk take-out service and we were the only ones eating our dinner there. I had the grilled pork fresh rolls which were freshly made and delicious. My hubs had the tasty grilled pork banh mi and enjoyed it. We also shared an order of popcorn chicken with fried basil and it was crispy and savory--reminded us of the popcorn chicken we had in Taiwan. For drinks, I had the Thai Tea with coconut milk (instead of the usual half-and-half) and my hubs had the Black Sesame Cloud Coffee. We liked our dinner so much that we returned two days later to take advantage of their one-year anniversary BOGO special! Eden garden is one of the newer bubble tea places. Perfect for a sunny day, and this location is right next to the Richmond Beach. Inside is clean, beautifully decorated, has 3 tables for seating. The menu has unique flavors from coffee, Milo series, milk tea, fruit tea and smoothies. They also have food like chicken, fries, Vietnamese sandwiches as well. Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #91 We saw the signs for the one year anniversary of Eden Garden Cafe opening and were lured in by the promise of BOGO sandwiches and boba. We stopped in for an early lunch a bit before 11 AM on Saturday and the place was super crowded, with lots of people inside waiting for their orders. They seem to be really efficient in the kitchen so even with how busy they were, we got our food and drinks within a very reasonable 10 minutes. Authentic Cold Cut ($8.50) - Starting with the baguette - I'm not sure if they bake the bread in house, but I do quite like this one. The crust is fabulous. It cracks at every gentle squeeze, but the crackly crust stays adhered instead of completing flaking off and making a mess as with so many other banh mi baguettes. The interior isn't dried out at all and is instead crusty and chewy. They fill the baguette with plenty of meat in three different cuts. Firstly, headcheese, with pleasingly jelly-like and bouncy pieces embedded in meat. Then some bbq pork, sliced thinly, with the gelatinous skin still attached. Finally some Vietnamese ham (not cha lua) for the most meat-forward element of the sandwich. It all comes together in a super meaty and umami bite. They of course have the classic veggies included - pickled daikon and carrot, crisp, tangy, and mildly fish saucy, cucumber, cilantro, and some jalapeno giving only a very mild spice. They do spread some mayo on the bread, but I don't believe they use pate. They also sprinkle a generous amount of black pepper and the entire sandwich is served warm. (5/5) Roasted Pork ($8.50) - Same as above, but with the meat replaced by cubed pork belly. The pork has some very small areas with crispy bits but is mostly bouncy and gelatinous from the fatty areas. Very tender and seasoned perfectly. The pieces of meat are large enough that they indent the bread and are essentially glued in place. The fillings stay inside the baguette, which makes this sandwich constructed perfectly to have a great bite every time. (5/5) Oolong Jasmine Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.50) - After having oolong jasmine for the first time the previous day, it seemed like a no brainer to order it here. And very interestingly, it tastes entirely different from what I had yesterday. As the name implies, it is indeed oolong with a flowery jasmine aroma. The flowery fragrance is strong yet dulled, if that makes any sense, as compared to a jasmine green tea which has a brighter flowery flavor. They do mix in a ton of creamer, which makes the drink almost feel gritty, with some powdery residue that lingers on the tongue. Sweetness is fine at 50%, although perhaps a tad harsh due to the fructose mix. The boba is kind of strange. Some pieces have almost the perfect smooth bounce, but then after chewing on more, some feel a bit mushy, while others are a bit firmer. It's not a gigantic difference in texture so I don't think they mix batches together, but it's puzzling why there's an actually very noticeable texture difference. The boba is otherwise marinated well so it's pleasingly sweet. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 Classic Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.25) - Again, a very milky somewhat powdery drink, with pleasing oolong taste and a slight astringency in the aftertaste. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Overall I was very impressed with Eden Garden Cafe. It's difficult to find a place that serves both solid food and solid boba. Discovered this place is on the way to tan and it's been a routine lately. I've tried several other items and the quality on food + drink has been consistently yummy. I would say their drinks especially. A lot of variety to choose from, quick service and delicious. They have a combo option: banh mi with fries. I like their cold cut dac biet and their grilled pork sandwich. I wish the carrot is more pickled to contrast the taste buds. The fries and popcorn chicken need a pinch more seasoning. And gentlemen , kids of all ages banh and bubble tea has arrived in north seattle, Shazam. I went twice in two weeks just make sure it was constant, I got a banh , deep fried octopus and bubble tea. That's some fresh crunch bread and crunchy veggies the sauce on the sandwinchs is alittle sweet but seems to work well. The deep fried octopus was good and okay I get it they all can't cooked the exactly the same so it still and work in progress but I would try it again. I am very happy another indie, family run business has opened in Shoreline's Richmond Beach neighborhood, Eden Garden Cafe (9/26/24). It is located in a mini strip mall that shares the same parking lot with five other businesses; plus located also across from Spin Alley and Richmond Beach Coffee Company. It is on a Metro bus line and same route to the public library and Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. On their opening day through the weekend (Sept 26 - 29) they are offering BOGO beverages, buy one get one free! Very welcoming upon entering. Clean and limited onsite seating. The menu is pretty vast with regards to beverages and banh mi sandwiches. They posted photos of their menu to the Yelp site so it can be viewed ahead of time. I went with the basics to see how they do. I ordered both iced: A2 Traditional Vietnamese Coffee and D2 Classic Milk Tea/no boba. Reasonably priced and well crafted. Usually, I have to visit spots all over Seattle and Kent for such beverages. Great to know there's a spot right here in Shoreline. I'll have to return to try other beverages and a banh mi. read more

Grand opening today and a couple of friends and I visited! They are doing a BOGO for the rest of this weekend so definitely take advantage of that. It's a small little tea shop that also sells banh mi, there are 2- 3 seat tables up front and 2 tables outside. I ordered the Oolong Jasmine Milk Tea, definitely not disappointed I really enjoyed how it wasn't sweet! The banh mi is ALSO BOGO, so I ordered one chicken one for myself and one for the husband later. Very solid location near the beach with a pretty good selection of items for grab and go (for the beach!) or a little picnic. That being said, it is a bit tucked away from main streets but convenient for before or after the beach since that strip is a bit empty. Super friendly family running the operations, so wishing them the best. There's also some seating inside with outlets. They're counter spots though so a bit difficult to converse with a group of friends but decent for getting work done. No wifi however, so hotspot or offline work needed. Did not try their food, only boba. They do offer sugar and ice level adjustments, not sure if it's obvious from the menu. Standard prices for boba these days. Classic Green Milk Tea w/ Boba - boba was a bit varied as I had some undercooked (harder) pieces alongside boba with a great chew. Was in the area, coming from Costco, and craving boba. It was a Saturday evening and surprisingly the area was quiet - no like and got our drinks in less than 5 minutes. Cafe is small and cute. Tables to sit and eat (they have Bahn Mi) and charging outlets ! Boba was AWESOME. Perfect about of chew while still maintaining softness and sweetness. I normally come here for Vietnamese coffee in the mornings, but finally tried their food and smoothies and OMG. I tried their Mango Sago Smoothie, and I think it'll be the drink of the summer. Their Banh mi are also really good, but you cannot skip the wings. They are super crispy - the fish sauce wings are my favorite. I tried the fried banana today, and even that was fried to perfection! Wow! Found this place when doing a search for banh mi and it ended up being extremely delicious. The grilled pork was perfect with crunchy soft bread, great sauce and seasoning and a good kick with the jalapeños, it was so good. I also tried the coconut matcha cloud tea and it was much better than I expected. I'm not a huge coconut person but in this one the base is coconut water so it's not grossly sweet, more just kind of genuinely fresh. I dined in and was able to attend a work meeting using their wi fi, they have a few tables and with that set-up it's a great place to eat alone. Staff were very kind too. Owners were super nice and came by to ask for feedback because they wanted to make sure everything suited our tastes. We both agreed it kind of tasted like a mocha..? Or something like that, definitely did not taste like your typical iced Vietnamese coffee. We even asked the people at the register how they make it - do they use drip coffee? They said yes and that that they use American beans or something. Updated review with menu items I've tried: Grilled pork sandwich tasted good! Not the grilled taste you get from some places but it was seasoned really well and had a decent amount of meat. Strawberry smoothie - delicious, tastes kinda like strawberry ice cream but a drink. Classic milk tea (oolong) - I would say my favorite drink so far! I'm pretty basic and this just hits perfectly for me with it being a strong tea flavor and not too sweet. Oreo Milk Tea - I was surprised by it! Strawberry Matcha - my husband enjoyed it lots, I would say a tad sweet for my liking but I like less sweet things. Jasmine oolong milk tea - I always think I'm going to like jasmine but I end up not liking it as much! Not to say it wasn't bad but jasmine is a little too strong for me but jasmine tea lovers will love this. Coconut coffee and house coffee - coconut coffee was pretty good! I actually don't know if I can tell the difference between it and the house coffee but I enjoy that I know I can't make the same coffee at home tasting like this. Brown sugar milk tea with boba - I actually think this brown sugar milk tea with boba has got to be the best I've had! Wasn't too sweet and the boba is super fresh. Beef Ragu - is not Bo Kho! They also don't say it's Bo Kho but for some reason I just assumed it was and was a little disappointed. If I had a different thought in my head and thought it was just a beef stew then I'd say it's good especially for these colder days. read more

Tried this place for the first time this week - and it was great. First, the decor is so nicely done and so unique. I took my food to go, and I still found the staff very friendly. The chicken bahn mi was delicious. The bread was soft and fresh, the shredded chicken was perfectly seasoned, the condiments were balanced and the veggies were fresh and crisp. Awesome little shop. Great sandwiches, huge wings, great bubble tea. We picked a couple grilled pork banh mi and the bang bang chicken wings. Ordering was easy and painless. Sandwiches were fresh made, hot, and just the right amount of crispy baguette with chewy bread. All the right toppings, fresh and crisp, flavored just right.
