So happy that the owners of Coffeebae in Tukwila have opened up Matchabae in Lynnwood! I've visited them twice now during soft opening and both visits have been 10/10! The space is open and inviting and the staff are super friendly. You honestly wouldn't be able to tell that they are in their soft opening phase other than that a few drinks are not yet available. During my first visit I got their Jasmine matcha which was really refreshing. The second visit I got their Black Sesame matcha which was also very good! It was the perfect level of sweetness and the black sesame didn't overpower the matcha. I think it might be my new go too other than their Matcha Einspanner. 100% recommended Matchabae if you're in the Lynnwood/Alderwood mall area and wanting a good matcha or hojicha!

delicious matcha! we've been here at least 5 times since they opened and will be coming more! staff is very attentive and friendly service. it's a clean and aesthetic cafe -- you can probably even get some work done here!!

    Ube matcha, einspanner hochija

I got the ube matcha and my partner got the einspanner Hochija. Both drinks were really good! Workers were super friendly and the store is pretty close to where I live so bonus points for convenience. The store has a decent amount of seating inside with outlets available, so is a good place to get work done.

Was a bit sad to see the former Bobalust store close down but was surprised to see Matchabae take over. Lynnwood doesn't have many matcha places so was glad to see this open up. To my surprise, it was a satisfactory replacement and the Matcha Latte was great. They were tons of people studying/hanging in the cafe. They are currently in soft opening and their hours are 10-4, already planning my next visit back.

We visited specifically to order a sweet corn latte, a drink which we've never had before and were interested in trying. Sweet Corn Latte, Iced 20oz ($7) - Surprisingly sweetness adjustments are allowed on this drink. The drink itself has a nice mellow corn aroma and a balanced milky flavor. It isn't too sweet. There's some fresh corn mixed in that's not that sweet compared to most canned sweet corn. There's stabilized whipped cream sweet on top studded with corn and then sprinkled with cocoa powder for some color. We asked to upgrade to 20oz but didn't get charged any more. Not sure how that works! (4/5) The drink probably has better presentation if ordered for dine-in rather than to-go given that the cap they give crushes the whipped cream. Photos from other Yelpers indicate that they have domed lids but for some reason they gave us a flat lid. K Cafe Dabang serves some pretty tasty drinks. We shop at the H-Mart around once a month, so it makes sense to return to try some more sweets. Bathrooms: Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women.

We went on a Saturday morning, so it was busy, but the space still felt open and easy to move through. Quick heads up on the flow: if you want pastries, grab a tray and pick out what you want before heading to the register. If you're just there for coffee like I was, you can skip that and go straight to the cashier. The pastry case was packed with options, plus a solid selection of ready-to-grab cakes, great to know if you're ever in a cake emergency. I can personally vouch for the cakes. They're delicious especially the Cappuccino Cake. I also tried the seasonal Iced S'mores Latte. It leans more mocha than s'mores, but the graham cracker bits add just the right amount of sweetness, ended up liking it more than I expected. Overall: friendly first visit, good coffee, and cakes that live up to the hype.

Eventually we ended up on Paris Baguettes website and noticed they had a s'more croissant hybrid. We collectively decided that we needed that in our lives. This was my actual first visit to Paris Baguette, I wasn't aware that it was a self serve style of business, very much my style. I was able to peruse the selection of products in peace at my leisure. The establishment offers out door seating and the interior was pleasant, relaxed and inviting. My interaction with staff was minimal, but they seemed friendly and helpful should you need assistance.

The interior has a warm and cozy vibe; I also dig the lighting. There's a good amount and variety of seating. They don't have outlets on the floor at the benches in the center, but there are a few outlets on the walls, so if you need to charge your devices I recommend sitting at the chairs next to the treasure chest (where I'm writing this review lol). Space seems very dog friendly, and there are 2 tables outside where the fur baby pawrents would typically sit with their fur babies. I also saw dog treats at the cashier that dog owners are free to take. I guess if you wanted to eat them you could, but I would judge you. For my drink, I got the Woodsman - opted for iced, large size, and whole milk. The drink was very chai spice-forward, which I loved. The staff member who took my order asked for my name, and later on when I went up to inquire the WiFi password, he addressed me by name - impressive. The owner (?), Heather, also thanked me for coming here after I picked up my drink. Needless to say, super friendly people. I didn't get a pastry or sandwich, but that's the goal for my next visit!

They have pretty typical Korean bakery fare and pricing seems to be just a bit higher than competitors, probably somewhere around a 10% premium compared to similar family owned bakeries. On my visit I got two pastries to try: Soboro Cream ($3.49) - Instead of a delicately crackly cookie crust, this bun has a much softer, almost moist topping, which may be due to them placing the bread in the packaging before being fully cooled off, allowing the bun to steam too much. There's a bunch of sweetened stabilized cream inside that's sweet and oily. The bread itself is kind of dry and crumbly, either not a typical milk bread recipe or perhaps it had been sitting on the shelf for too long. (2/5) Corn Mochi ($5.99) - This comes with six pieces. The corn mochi has a nice chewy tapioca flour base. There's black sesame sprinkled throughout giving a burst of nutty flavor. I expected to see whole corn kernels baked inside but I think they just use corn flour in the dough. It's way less sweet than the soboro. Texturewise, the inside is bouncy while the outside has a harder baked crust. (4/5) Overall Le Bon Patisserie is a pretty average Asian grocery store-paired bakery. It's more of a place to buy bread for convenience rather than anything special, but it does the job decently well.

The lady behind the counter assured me they are the same. Spoiler alert: they are not, but they are equally awful. For those of you who knows REAL Japanese milk bread, it is like magic. I f***in' love milk bread... and while I don't use drugs, I imagine the euphoria I feel when I bite into milk bread is similar to a drug high. La Bon's milk bread is literally the worst white bread I have EVER tasted. It's worst than any grocery store brand and tastes like paper mache, wait, no.... I ate paper mache as a kid and this is far far worse. The pure and utter sadness I feel every time I put a piece of that shitty white cardboard into my mouth is worthy of a country western song.
