I've visited UG Tea a couple more times and performed some direct comparisons against their main competitors in town. Unfortunately, I have to say that UG Tea doesn't measure up. While I still like the Camellia Oolong, the Jasmine is definitely thinner in both taste and mouthfeel as compared to Molly Tea down the street. There's still a case for me visiting UG Tea in the future though - their drinks are much cheaper and they run deals occasionally for BOGO drinks.
I've never heard of this place before, so I wanted to try it. It was so good! I got the strawberry hibiscus tea and it was delicious. So refreshing and not artificial tasting at all. Maybe I'll try the milk teas when I come back, but once I found a favorite it's hard to want to try new ones.
Overall: 5 stars Uniquely decorated store that has lots of mirrors and greenery to make the place feel bright and alive. I liked their menu, which offers some original takes on the now popularized drinks. Peach Green Tea - Refreshingly flavorful in both the tea front and the power of the fruit. The next level matcha latte was good, but nothing special just like heytea, but I like heytea better. I don't know exactly what's in their special milk, but it was good & made it creamy like how it's with oatmilk. The matcha flavor was subtle & I wished it was stronger.
Great fruit teas here, but tends to be on the sweet side. I usually order 0% sugar at most boba places and do that at this one as well; however, their drinks remain on the sweeter side. I've tried all the fruit teas and am very satisfied with those! For milk teas with boba, I'm actually not a big fan. It tends to be more milk taste than tea taste, which is not my preference (as a result, I prefer Chicha Sanchen). Their boba is also a little too soft for me, though many of my friends really like the super soft texture. One thing that slightly irks me is that they always give these really nice bags with your drinks, even if you order dine-in. It seems wasteful as we don't really have any other use for the bag and there doesn't seem to be a way to request that they prepare your order without it.
I finally tried this newer tea place where chica used to be. Parking is always a bit difficult luckily found street parking or you can walk from the mall. I tried the next level matcha and was very impressed. I got the recommended 30% sugar level with the specialty Ug milk. I am particular on my iced matcha and this one hit the spot. It was not overly sweet and still gad the undertone notes of the slight bittersweet nutty ness of the matcha mixed will with the milk and had a nice fluffy matcha foam on top that was on the slightly thicker side so it didn't immediately dissolve but still gave extra Texture to the drink. I would go back to have this again. This is more of a take out spot since it's small. The bag it came with is nice as I ordered ahead of time.
We went just as they opened and they were very helpful with ordering. You can order on the screen or at the counter. The inside is a lot of silver chrome and green fuzzy things, but there's lots of places to sit and wait and drink your tea. The matchas looked really interesting so I'd like to come back and try some of those too!
UG Tea still has a line several months after opening but it moved at a decent pace. Saw them in Taiwan but didn't prioritize because there were so many other options, so glad I have the chance now! Took about 20 minutes from arrival to getting drinks. There's one kiosk to order from which everyone lines up for. Service doesn't really exist. Light seating inside, but much better to take the drinks out to the mall or walk around. A few things outside of the drinks bothered me as bad user experience. Advertising a "free drink" for scanning their QR code or ordering online but really being the loyalty program is just clickbait. They're also proud of planting a tree for every 1000 drinks but that's a lot of bottles and waste especially because they double lid a few drinks with both the seal and a plastic. Just some questionable practices overall (absolutely, I am being critical because dark patterns also known as deceptive patterns are annoying). Next Level Matcha Latte - I can't lie, this matcha was pretty good. Unfortunately only medium size since it's matcha. Oat milk substitution is not extra, it's included at the price. Whisked well, the matcha was silky smooth and had a heaping scoop of cheese foam on top which was also very smooth and flavorful. Orange Jasmine Fruit Tea w/ Boba - their honey boba is the white boba popular across Taiwan! Not crystal boba, it's very similar to standard black boba, but more mochi-like. Rather than bouncy, it somewhat absorbs chews. May not be popular for most people used to brown sugar boba that's typically more QQ. Fruit tea was tasty, very refreshing. Also similar to orange juice found in Asia with the pulp, and super hydrating.
Didn't like the matcha cookie smoothie but the cloud matcha with the unique milk was great. Quick fast service and the inside was in fact unique (however there is like no place to properly sit and chat). The space is mainly for waiting and getting the tea and leaving
We ordered Camellia Oolong milk tea & Camellia Oolong pure tea with 30% and 10% sugar, light Ice with no toppings We went during the day, so there was no line thankfully and I was able to walk right in and order my drink. I didn't realize that there were promotions going if you bought two matcha drinks, so that was my first mistake. I should've bought Matcha drinks instead of oolong drinks bc I totally missed the promo... lame Overall, the ambience inside was really pretty clean and lots of mirrors. There's a little photograph booth in the back that you can pay for if you want photos to remember your visit! A fun spot to check out if you're in the area the parking is total crap though, spots are really tight and very limited as they share with other surrounding businesses. There is a paid lot next to it and the other lot over is chipotle's lot. One thing I noticed is that they're pretty strict about dogs here, they have to be service animals in order to be allowed inside. Chi cha (the boba spot that was here prior to UG) never seemed to mind when we brought Koda inside. Cute spot to check out if you're in the area and you can find parking! Next time I'll go earlier in the day and try to check out the Matcha drinks!
The jasmine milk tea in 50% sweetness was pretty good. I could taste the tea and it wasn't super sweet. I don't think it was as strong as other places but still a nice treat. The honey boba was a nice soft chewy texture and added some extra sweetness. Nothing really stood out to me compared to other boba places, but I think it's worth a try if you're around. I've heard good things about their matcha so I think I'd have to try that next time I go!
Recently opened in Bellevue, taking over the space of former Chicha San Chen (which moved to Bellevue Square). It was not too busy when we went on a Saturday, but got busy as we enjoyed the drinks (maybe the later post dinner rush). I created an account on app to get 50% off the medium camellia milk tea with boba added (no discount on the boba, just the drink itself -$3), and we also tried the Next Level Matcha. Prices were fair for the area. The medium camellia milk tea is quite fragrant while the boba is a bit soft. I requested less ice but still got 25% of the cup with ice, so preferences were not taken into account. The next level matcha is a matcha fan's favorite dream. I specifically loved the matcha cream top and there is definitely a lot of matcha of various intensities in the drink. I recommend the sip straw to enjoy the drink longer as it is delicious There is a photobooth where you can purchase credits to take a few pictures to print out, but we opted to not do it as we were not in the mood. The ambience here is quite stylish yet modern and minimalistic, akin to the typical pop culture vibe.
The store's verg unique for a WA boba shop I would say, the interior felt very foreign but it was refreshing and cool to see. It's a small store but there was a decent amount of seating. They have a photobooth, although it's a little jank, pretty fun to experience. It was pretty busy but the works were nice and helped us with the photobooth. To be completely honest their matcha felt milkier than matcha-y and was on the sweeter side. Also a side note I noticed only certain toppings are available for certain drinks. Overall, however, the experience was good and the drinks were tasty.

jasmine milk tea with boba: the boba texture was really chewy and delicious, jasmine tea flavor good but not molly tea strong. jasmine milk tea with matcha cream: the matcha cream just tasted like cheese foam and didn't taste the matcha as much. i didn't prefer it but still good! tip- if u download the app u can get $5 off your first order. i would come again to try the other flavors! read more
Happy to see a new high quality matcha place in Bellevue. It is the same location as the previous Chi Cha San Chien tea. They moved to Bellevue square. Parking is rough but, I was told you could try Safeway across the street. If possible buy something from Safeway although they are not super vigilant o about their parking (as of the posting of this review :)) Tried the Next Level Matcha latte. It was so good. Love the creaminess of the light cheese cream that is not over powering. I am not a fan of very sweet drink so I am grateful for the 10% sweetness option. It was just perfect and plenty sweet or was a good balance with the rich earthiness of the matcha. Very tasty!!! Definitely consider downloading the app and order ahead as the line can be long. You'll get new sign up perks that's worth the effort especially if it shortens your wait time. The ambiance feels comfortable- light and fresh with mirrors, white and green palette. There is a photo booth too. I didn't try it. I would return to try the other matcha drinks for sure. read more
My new favorite drink here: Hojicha Latte! Packed with rich roasted tea fragrance, nutty and slightly caramel-like. Unlike matcha, there is no vegetal bitterness. The texture is silky and creamy, with ideal balance between tea and milk. Less caffeine than coffee, perfect for a calming afternoon treat. I'd suggest light sweetness to fully enjoy the authentic hojicha flavor. Will keep coming back for this cup of comfort! read more

Recently opened at the location where CHICHA San Chen was located at. Parking at the lot outside can be hard to find, but there is parking available at the Chipotle, Safeway, H-mart, or street parking. The shop is really small, so it can be crowded. I love Molly Tea, so it pains me to say that this is my favorite milk tea shop in Washington. I got the Jasmine Milk Tea which was real value (22oz for $6.75). It's great for the price you're paying for. The next level matcha latte was well-balanced; it was not too milky, sweet, or lacking in matcha. If you're a California native, the Strawberry Hibiscus Fruit Tea is extremely similar to 7 Leaves'. read more

I came here on a Friday morning and it was pretty empty so my friend and I didn't have to wait. The decor inside is really modern and they even had a photobooth! We ordered from a Kiosk and service was quick. I was a bit disappointed by my Next Level Matcha because this place was so hyped up and people would literally wait hours. I thought it was just okay. I might also just have really high standards because there's so many good places I have tried in socal and I also make my own matcha at home. The matcha wasn't very prominent (you can also tell by the color) and it tasted more just like slightly flavored milk. I probably would have been pretty upset if I had to wait a long time just for a mid drink. Maybe their teas are better but I definitely wouldn't recommend the matcha here. read more

Honestly this was was alright... I felt like it was overhyped just because of the aesthetic of the store and people saying the store reminds them of Gentle Monster. While the inside of the store looks cool with all the decorations and the photo booth, their drinks are a bit lacking. On a busy Saturday it took about an hour for the drinks to be made. I got the camellia oolong milk tea and my boyfriend got the jasmine milk tea with matcha foam drink (I don't remember the exact name). For both the milk teas I felt that the tea flavor was lacking. The teas felt very watered down and I could barely taste the jasmine flavor. I could taste the oolong tea but it was not as strong as I would like. 30% was still very sweet. The matcha foam on the jasmine tea drink was okay as well. Didn't taste a lot like match and felt more like salted cream. I would not wait an hour for drinks like this again. With all of these milk tea places opening up in the area, I think there are much better places to go instead for better drinks. read more

Bellevue has so many new tea places that has opened up over the past year. UG Tea is the newest and hottest tea spots that people are going to so I had to check it out. When I walked in, I was surprised at how gorgeous this place is. The aesthetic is minimalist with lots of silver touches. They have tea, milk tea, and smoothies, that are very similar to the other tea places closely. I got the classic jasmine milk tea. It was very good, the tea tasted rich and it compliments the milk so well. J really liked it! I asked for 50% sugar and it wasn't too sweet. If you ordered 30% it might not be sweet at all, so if you like slightly sweet I'd recommend 50%. My boyfriend got the peach camellia fruit tea, this was so good! The drink came with lychee jelly so it had a nice combination of peach and lychee, very sweet and fruity. He got 50% and it tasted sweeter than the milk tea I ordered. If you order 2 drinks, you can get a free Photo Booth experience. The photobooth is so cute, the camera is placed at the very top corner of this photobooth room and you can take take 3-4 photos. They print one picture out for you but you can also scan the QR code to get it digitally. All free! Overall, I like UG tea a lot. It is my second favorite milk tea place in Bellevue. I'd come back. FYI parking can be tight, so be prepared to park elsewhere and walk to the location. read more
I was wondering what took over the chi cha space in Bellevue and it turned out to be UG. The space hasn't changed in the outside as there's still limited parking shared with their neighbors. When you get inside, it's completely different. I think the decor is what really entices people since it's very different. There's also a free Photo Booth which is cool. I tried three different drinks (camellia oolong milk tea, jasmine tea, and preach camellia fruit tea). I went with the staff recommendation of 30% sweetness and unfortunately they weren't that good. There wasn't a strong tea flavor and it was more like a watery essence. In a time where there's so many Molly tea adjacent shops, UG only sticks out with the decor and not the drinks. Come here for the vibes and the free Photo Booth but skip out on the drinks. read more
Camellia Oolong Milk Tea: This drink was refreshing with good tea flavor. Nicely milky. Good sweetness level at 10%. Next Level Matcha Latte: The creamy cheese foam was lovely with the matcha! The drink was very creamy and had good sweetness level at 10%. Wish there was an option for less ice. You can order at the kiosk, with staff at the counter, or via online order in their app. There wasn't really a line on Sunday morning, but it was a bit crowded inside in the indoors seating. read more
I went here for the first time over the weekend after I recently heard about it from a friend. I haven't had anything matcha related in WA since I've been back from Japan. The place was well lit. It's not very big and has very limited seating. The place was packed! Lots of people standing around waiting for their order, but it wasn't too bad. I heard the wait time was long (like 90 min) but I figured I'd check it out anyway. There's a short line you can wait at to order or you can just go up to the kiosk. The order number screen above tells you about how long the wait will be. At the time I went, the wait was about 30 min, so I made my order and just went back to my car. I set a timer for 20 min then I went to check the screen. It showed my order was currently being completed. About 2 min later I got a text saying my order was ready. Not bad, faster than I anticipated. As for the drink, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the matcha cookie smoothie with 30% sweetness. I think it was sweetened just right! Not too sweet, but also not too grassy. I loved the bits of cookie inside. I believe it was biscoff. It was blended very well and pretty evenly. Imagine a drinkable matcha biscoff McFlurry. Overall I'd recommend this place. It's still a bit chaotic and busy due to how new it is, but hopefully it'll get better once the hype dies down some more. read more
My friend spotted this tiny but mighty shop, so we decided to be adventurous and give it a go. The shop is super busy on the Sunday, 01/25/2026 we stopped by to try their drinks. It's very bright and lively, with a white and green aesthetic. The queues move pretty quickly, as there is a digital kiosk as well as someone manning the counter. They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from as well as hot tea drinks available. The staff is quick, efficient and knowledgeable. They are busy with preparing drinks for the customers as well as for the to go orders. My favorite feature in store is the ability to see the progress of your drink order and watching the beverages being packaged in really nice packaging. My friend and I were so enamored with the bags that the mobile orders are packed in, that we ordered 2 mobile orders just to have to reusable bags to use as lunch bags or whatever. All said and done, our drinks were made to perfection and delicious! I highly recommend that everyone who loves a good tea/fruit based drink give this place a try. 10/10. read more
A new matcha chain replacing the spot that chichasanchen used to be at. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy. We waited around 25-30 minutes for our drinks so highly recommend ordering online beforehand if you don't want to wait. Parking was also pretty limited in that plaza so be aware. The interior of the shop was GORGEOUS-- a Minimal but modern design. They also had a paid photobooth featuring a high angle lens if you come with your friends. I ordered the next level matcha latte with oat milk (milk alternatives are free of charge!). The matcha was creamy but very subtle. The drink had a salted cheese finish on the top which complemented well with how smooth the matcha was. I did enjoy the drink but it didn't blow me away. There were other milk tea options on the menu too that looked interesting and I'd be willing to come back to try. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing my friends next time! read more

I'm so happy I found this place. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I'm usually very limited in what I can order, and a lot of places don't even offer good dairy-free options. Here, they have one of the best lactose-free milks, and it was such a breath of fresh air to be able to order anything off the menu without worrying about getting a stomach ache or feeling sick afterward. Not only is their dairy-free option high quality, but the drinks themselves are excellent. I've tried every single matcha drink, and they do not disappoint smooth, balanced, and not overpowering. The space is small, so expect a bit of a wait. Ordering to-go is probably the best move if you're short on time, but honestly, it's worth it. I think they did a great job bringing something unique and different to the city. read more

They serve a ton of tea drinks but most popular for their matcha drinks. My friend and I got the Next level matcha latte and both were really good! Very strong and earthy flavor. I got 70% sweet which I think was perfect. The cheese cold foam was also delicious and helps balance out the sweetness and bitterness of the tea. I love that they offer oat milk for most of their drinks for those who are sensitive to dairy! Each drink comes with a small cute tote too. Friendly and fast service! The place itself is super aesthetic and chic with their green decor and plants. They do have a photo booth (in the corner with mirrored doors) for $10 and you can get either 2 regular photo booth strips (2 pics each) or 1 big pic. The films comes with a photo filter of their mascot on the sides...so make sure you stand more to the right and lower down to take pics or else your face will get cut off in some pics :/ Parking is really tight in this area. read more

We went around 8pm and there only a short line. There was only one self check out kiosk which added towards the wait time. The shop was busy with people waiting for their drinks and hanging out. There are only a few seating options. The parking lot is small and fills up fast. Inside felt trending with multiple mirrors and a paid photobooth. We tried the Jasmine Milk Tea which had a nice floral flavor. The prices were surprisingly decent at around $6-7. Would go back to try their matcha since that is supposed their speciality. I purposely waited till their hype was down to try this place. I came on a Thursday afternoon and there wasn't any long wait. I kept hearing mixed reviews about this place but I still wanted to try to see what it's all about. I tried their Next Level Matcha with Oatmilk + 70% sweetness and it was pretty good. It doesn't taste like those "ceremonial" matcha if that's the taste you're looking for but it's a really well made matcha drink. I'm not sure what Oatmilk they used but the aftertaste had this nice subtle unique taste I've never tasted before. Their prices are also extremely affordable in comparison to other boba places around here, I think their otherbasic drinks are 4.50 which is crazy low especially in this economy o.o" Anyhow, it's a worth it place to try! read more

Parking is always tough in this area, especially if you're looking for free 2 hr parking. This is the same shop location as the first chi cha location in Bellevue. I came on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't crowded and got our drinks pretty quickly. Next level matcha: this drink had just the right amount of matcha and creaminess from their UG special milk (lactose free milk with creamer), got it at 50% sweet and think I'd order the same next time Jasmine milk tea: their Jasmine tea tastes great and I love the strong tea flavor. The honey boba was a bit soft for me, although disclaimer the boba sat in the cup a couple hours before it was tried so that could have changed the boba texture read more
This place is pretty solid for their jasmine and osmanthus oolong milk teas. I don't really like matcha drinks so I can't really speak for their matcha menu. The boba competition is very stiff in Downtown Bellevue, and I'm not sure I would necessarily go out of my way to choose UG Tea over the other options out there because I think Molly Tea's floral milk teas are better. Parking exists but the lot is quite small so it will likely be full. You can either order online or on their kiosk. Overall a solid boba shop, I'll probably come back to try more drinks at some point. read more
Cute and aesthetic spot with a relaxing green vibe and easy kiosk ordering. The tea and matcha are good and refreshing, and the boba is chewy, though a bit too soft when I tried it. more for the atmosphere and casual visit than anything super standout. read more
I prefer the jasmine milk tea at molly tea, but this one's pretty good too, and similar in flavor. The cookie matcha was a nice texture and had good matcha flavor. The suggested sweetness (30%) is fine for me as I tend to like things less sweet, but I could see how someone would prefer it sweeter. read more
- super refreshing camellia oolong milk tea - I didn't have a great first impression of this place because of their matcha latte packaging. We pre-ordered drinks through Fantuan (B1G1 with a lip balm and tote bag), but when my husband got back, there was only one matcha latte left--most of the other one had spilled during the drive. I get that it's not 100% UG Tea's fault, but their matcha cup design is unnecessarily complicated and doesn't seal well, which made spills way too easy. That said... the matcha itself was actually delicious, which is why I was so upset about losing a whole drink. I also heard the store was a bit chaotic that day, with no clear signage for preorder pickup, so people ended up standing in the wrong line. We decided to give it another shot today while the Next Level Matcha Latte (極濃抹茶拿鐵) was still B1G1. We also ordered the Camellia Oolong Milk Tea (茶花紅烏龍奶茶). The matcha was just as good as before, but the camellia oolong really surprised me--it was super refreshing with a light floral note. It's sweeter than plain oolong milk tea but not overly sweet. I drank half of it easily, passed it to my husband... and then finished the rest myself. Prices are on par with other boba places in Bellevue. I'm hoping they'll run more promotions on Panda or Fantuan app in the future, because I'd definitely come back to try more of their floral tea drinks. This is the third boba shop that opened at this spot. Chicha moved to Bellevue square, sharetea closed down, and UG tea is now taking over. I'm sure it will stay, and I hope it won't move to Bellevue square like chicha did since it's absolutely a nightmare to find a parking spot there now. read more
This place was truly disappointing during soft opening. For an establishment that advertises providing the best matcha, the matcha cookie smoothie had zero matcha taste. The cookie blended throughout the smoothie was soggy and the texture reminded me of drinking vomit. The color of the "matcha" is great but don't be fooled. Even the green whipped cream tasted nothing like matcha and I'm convinced they just used green food dye. Influencers on TikTok are saying it's the best matcha they've ever had but clearly they've never had good matcha or are being paid by this establishment to give a good review. The 15 jasmine tea was alright, but pretty bland compared to other competing businesses. I'd rather go a few blocks down and get Molly tea. The best drink out of the 3 was the camellia oolong milk tea. Maybe stick with milk tea if you decide to give UG Tea a try. This was so disappointing, we went to Molly tea right after. I hope this establishment fixes their recipes during soft opening for their permanent grand opening. On the bright side, the space is cute and decorated nicely. They give you cute reusable bags and the cups are cute. But that does not make up for the poor quality of the drinks. There is supposedly a Photo Booth but we didn't see it. read more

Worst matcha I've ever had. We got the elevated matcha latte as well as the smoothie cookie crunch matcha. Both were lacking in Matcha flavor. The especially worst one though was the smoothie one. It was just weird. And a bit gross to be frank. I expected Biscoff cookies as shown in the picture but it has RITZ crackers inside the cup with only a tiny tiny bit of biscoff hidden within. The Ritz flavor did not work AT ALL with the matcha. It almost made me feel like a little kid was just mixing ingredients. Will not ever be coming back. It's completely overhyped and the only cool thing is the interior. Maybe next time spend more time crafting your drinks flavors than how the store looks. read more
