Recently moved to Bellevue from Seattle and of course was desperate to find a new brunch spot with allergen-friendly options, and WOW. Bellden Cafe has it all, we've already gone several times I'm obsessed with the ube mochi waffle, it is soooo delicious (not too sweet, incredible texture and flavor). Their matcha is also lovely, I got matcha with rose syrup both times I went (so immaculate). I've turned into a bit of a matcha snob, so always looking for some good options and they hit the spot. The service is incredible, literally the people working there are the nicest people everrrr. Even on a super busy weekend morning, they were so accommodating, so friendly and even remembered us from just one visit! Really fantastic team, they really make the whole experience even MORE lovely. And the interior is jussssst so gorg!!! The decor is immaculate, there's lots of space (even when it was crowded), would be a perfect place to work from during the week, even their outdoor tables were very clean and cutie. I had planned to come here for brunch with my fiancée because she has some dietary and allergy-related precautions, and this seemed like a place that could accommodate those needs. We ordered the brioche breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, and ube waffle. I wouldn't say everything was bad, because that wouldn't be fair, but most of the food lacked the flavor I was expecting. The breakfast sandwich was pretty mild even with the aioli, and the avocado toast was also missing some of the brightness and zest I usually expect from avocado toast. The ube waffle was unfortunately my least favorite. I asked for no chocolate sauce, but it still came with chocolate sauce, and the waffle itself was very dense and dry. I think this place may just depend on what you're looking for. If you prefer a more traditional, flavorful breakfast, it probably wouldn't be my first recommendation. That said, I wouldn't knock the quality of the ingredients, and if you're looking for a brunch spot that offers more dietary-friendly options, this could still be a good choice. read more

Bellden Cafe isn't a place where I'd normally eat a meal at, but we were only a bit peckish and in the middle of playing a board game. After being recommended Bellden Cafe by a foodie friend for a quick meal, we headed over to get some takeout to eat during the game. Mr. Brioche ($11) - This sandwich starts with a rich toasted brioche bun, which is then slathered with some creamy and fatty aioli. A soft and tender, spiced breakfast patty is placed on top, charred just a tad to give some browning and develop flavor. Some eggs, cooked on the flat top in a circular mold which makes it perfectly conform to the size of the bun, is carefully placed on top of the meat, and then finally some swiss cheese cements the sweet vegetal microgreens atop. The bun is voluminous, especially noteworthy in height. The interior ingredients only reaches perhaps 1/3 the height of the bun, making it appear that the sandwich will be dry. But that's an impression soon deemed to be false, as there's more than enough moisture from the aioli and melted cheese to smooth things over. (4/5) I don't normally associate cafes, particularly ones that seem to lean more towards the drink side of things, to also serve good food. Loved this place!!! I can't wait to come back. I love fresh, delicious, and well prepared meals that are made with love! Like you can just see and taste how important this establishment is to the owner. You can tell they care about their customers and their business! I really appreciate a good meal! Came by for a little Sunday lunch. They validate the garage with a $15 minimum purchase which is reasonable. The space inside is cute. Very open, lots of plants, and chill I ordered the pnw adventure salad and the tropical smoothie. Smoothie is refreshing, not too sweet, and surprisingly, not overpowered by the banana. The salad was pretty good, but the croutons were a little stale. I loved the sauce and addition of capers and blueberries. Service throughout was nice as well. The person who took our order seems a bit pissed about something but oh well, it's not a big deal. The place was very cute and I love all the decor, especially the bird cage booth. The salad was really good! The dressing paired so perfect and it's not overpowering. We didn't know there's only one waffle but it's very tasty. Kinda bumped it's only one waffle. The coffee was okay. And the banana bread matcha was not good in my opinion. It tasted overly sweet and I asked for less sweet. And it did not taste like the good matcha. I came in around 11am on a Thursday and there were a few seats occupied. The brunette woman helping me at the front was kind and patient while I perused the menu. I settled on the Mt Olympus toast with an extra slice of the PNW since I couldn't make up my mind. I also ordered the Belldens White Mocha, which was not overly sweet surprisingly. As I sat and ate, the place received plenty of customers who also chose to dine-in. Service was great, atmosphere was beautiful. You are expected to bus your own tables, common at small coffee shops. I street parked on the west side of the building, requiring a slight climb up the hill back to my car. It was free though, so no complaints! Very busy on a Thursday morning but the staff stayed cool under pressure despite being understaffed and delivered sooner than promised. Espresso was well done, food was really good. Between my gluten sensitivity and friend's vegan restrictions, we were very happy with our breakfast choices. Vegan "egg salad" toast was tasty and the GF breakfast sausage sando was delicious. Cafe is a little crowded when completely full but we were able to snag a table without much issue. I would go back but probably at a different time. We knew the pricing would be up there, as is common for Bellevue coffee shops like this, but we were hoping for a bit higher quality in food/drink. I got the immunity fighter smoothie and it was just a very standard tasting smoothie, it wasn't even fully blended. It just tasted like something I could have made at home, and for $9 I was hoping for something more. Food followed the same fact pattern. I used to come here pre-pandemic when my office was located in Bellevue. Now that I work remote I don't go to Bellevue as much and only recently stopped back in here for a treat. I got the pink avo toast and market toast because I wanted both savory and sweet. THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. I also got the iced caramel stand still... best coffee I've ever had. It tastes like coffee flavored haggen dazs ice cream! On top of that, the vibe is so cute in there and the woman at the counter made my whole day. She was SO friendly and welcoming and seemed genuinely interested in giving each costumer a good experience. I mentioned I was treating myself by ordering a coffee drink because I had recently got a ninja cafe espresso machine and was making drinks at home normally. She mentioned they offer a drink free if you buy 2 bags of beans. I have been trying different brands and figured I would give theirs a try (I'm sooooo glad I did because I'm obsessed. It's so tasty!). To top it all off, she knew that ninjas require you to "waste" some beans when you're dialing new ones into your machine so that you can get the grind setting right. What a cute little cafe! I really felt like it was spring in here with blooms galore and a fantastic garden wall. Drinks were fantastic as well serving up creative specialties along with all your favorite classics. From espressos to teas, I got the sense of delicious quality with a touch of love. Speaking of love, yes I got the milk heart art in my latte (the mark of an upscale cafe???). Brenna was an awesome barista. Very efficient and still warm and welcoming with a smile! Spring time latte (5): I love lavender so this community drink really stood out to me. It did not disappoint. 10% of their community proceeds go back to the community too! LOVED the blueberry matcha!!! It was so tasty and delicious, I couldn't stop drinking it. It is on the sweeter side for a matcha, but the flavors worked so well. This is a gem of a place in the heart of Bellevue! A dear friend rented out this restaurant for a 50th birthday celebration, and Claire did an amazing job creating a delicious gluten-free spread that was beautifully presented and bite-sized to make it easy to eat and mingle. My son and I came here on a Saturday around brunch time. This place has a lovely neighborhood cafe feel to it with lovely greenery and solid wood furniture. We ordered the gluten free waffles and a bowl of pumpkin coconut soup (plant-based) with an almond milk Cortado. It was very busy so we had to wait for one order ahead of us. The person who took our order was kind and helpful since it was our first time visiting this cafe. She explained the menu items and assured me the soup of the day was dairy free. We found a spot at a large table in the center of the cafe where we had to share it with two other families but it was comfortable as we could partition ourselves by an empty seat. We waited about twenty minutes for the food to arrive but we knew many others had placed ordered ahead of us. The wait was worth it as the pumpkin soup was really tasty and filling and I enjoyed finishing my meal with a Cortado. My son was a little hesitant to try the waffles as it was a tad too fancy for his taste. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it as leftovers! I appreciate the altruism this cafe puts into action and to help support local women owned businesses. This cafe is located downtown and garage parking can be validated. I unfortunately have to give one less star than when I came in 2026. I came with some friends last month during brunch, I believe it was the day before or week of their renovations. We had ordered several dishes and drinks, including an iced matcha, ube purple yam mochi waffle, and a Mr. Brioche breakfast sandwich. It was quite busy since it was MLK Jr. day so it took a while to order and for our food and drinks to arrive. Our Mr. Brioche breakfast sandwiches came first, but without microgreens, and it wasn't until we asked that we were told that they ran out of microgreens. We were offered avocados as a replacement, which we gratefully accepted. We thought the sandwich was great - the bread was soft, sausage patty juicy, and was overall flavorful. The other item that I had ordered was the ube waffle and unfortunately it was a big letdown. The waffle itself was dry and flavorless, so texture was not pleasant. The coconut whipped cream (?) also didn't have a strong coconut flavor. My friend ordered the iced matcha and unfortunately didn't feel that it was high quality and a bit flat. I want to make it clear that the service is a 5/5! I'm not sure if it was the rush, or the upcoming renovations, or maybe a mixture of both, but the food was just a letdown. read more

They validate parking at the parking garage around the corner--don't forget to give them your license plate number! The SRW lunch menu included a latte, salad, and toast flight. The toast flight had the berry toast, PNW toast, and pink avocado toast. The pink avocado toast could've used a bit more salt, but everything tasted very delicious! As someone who doesn't enjoy salad very much, the salad was surprisingly very yummy. The sweet toasted pecans really pulled the dish together. This cafe is kind of off the beaten main Bellevue path, tucked in a commercial building across from Broiler Bay. Parking was underground and simple. It is paid parking. There is some limited free street parking on the west side of the building. Nice interior but like most restaurants these days, the chairs are really uncomfortable - metal and low. Those of us with infirmities will only be able to sit for a short time. They also have private rooms for rent and I saw a few people working on their laptops. Had a delicious mimosa along with the ACAI bowl and PNW toast. They have a variety of toasts and bowls. Both these dishes were delicious. I'd return to try more of their toasts. The pumpkin curry soup stole the show, striking the right balance between spices and texture, nestled in a thick, warm roux perfect for braving colder autumn rains. In second place, we have the golden turmeric gluten-free waffle whose sharp taste is tamed by the soft house-made coconut whipped cream. It paired well with the soup, but I only wish the strong berry compote was replaced with a milder jam, or served in small, delicate drops. Brunch was finished off with the pink avo--I leave the most familiar dishes until the end--instead of a dessert, and for good reason! The bread was pillowy, the avo was spiced, but I was underwhelmed by the beetroot hummus. Though to be fair, if you could actually taste the beets, you'd probably be alarmed. When you give them your license plate at the counter, they validate your parking for two hours. If you're looking directly at Bellden Cafe from the street, the garage is in the attached building on the right. The closer you park to the car entrance, the closer you are to the pedestrian exit to retail spaces. I ordered the golden tumeric latte (a blend of turmeric, cardamon, ginger, steamed milk, and a touch of honey and black pepper). The drink was so well balanced and delicious. I also ordered the PNW toast (smoked wild salmon, cucumber, house made cream cheese spread, fresh herbs, olive oil, lemon vinaigrette, pink Himalayan salt, and dill on French country bread). At $16 for the toast, it seemed a bit pricey, but was well worth it with the quality of ingredients. Highly recommend! read more
