It's right in the Amazon building. The lobby is so peaceful and nice. They currently have summer flavors. I got the rose cardamom and it was so yummy!! It was a good balance of cardamom and sweetness that mixed well with coffee & milk. I didn't really taste the rose though. I recommend the almond croissant! The almost paste in it is ON POINT!! The new mom barista was making my drink when a rude impatient women jumped over me as I was still ordering and belted her order to the barista. This is fancy coffee. Everything about Caffe Ladro is nice. It's clearly quality everything, and they have alternative milks - soy, and almond I believe. But it's just not to my taste. This is one of my favorite coffee shops to go to before work! The line is pretty clear until 8-9:30ish am, but the wait isn't ever too long. This cafe is located inside the giant black glass Expedia building. You will see it slightly to your right as soon as you walk in. Their pastries are delicious and they sometimes have free samples on the counter. If you get their punchcard (similar to a Starbucks reward card), you can get TWO free drinks per 10 drinks!! There are a few tables right at the front. If you want a larger table or some sofas, or a space to study, check out the downstairs lounge! The stairs are left and just ahead of the cafe. My favorite drink to get is a Yankee Dog with soy which is an Americano with steamed milk! They have some other cool drinks I've been wanting to try but I end up defaulting my usual... one day! read more

I usually get my drip coffee or Americano from here when I feel like getting fresh coffee vs Keurig brewed coffee from my office. The line can get really long or none at all depending on the time and day. I'd say their coffee is pretty good and worth paying for it even if you can get a free coffee at your office. I suggest you try their frozen espresso drinks during summer season because they are very delicious and addictive. Located in the Expedia building in Bellevue, Caffe Lardo serves up your traditional coffee shop beverages. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The drinks are made fast and correctly. They offer 24 oz iced drinks with 4 shots, bigger and better then Starbucks, yahoo! One thing I wish this location had though was a larger selection of pastry and food items. As far as I can tell, they only have a limited option of sweets available. Some basic grab and go lunch items would be great, but perhaps they have tried those and there is just not enough margin in a perishable item as such... I got their vanilla latte once and didn't really enjoy it. I prefer their hot chocolate with whip cream... mmm... but their ham and cheese croissant is so delicious!! Kind of greasy but which croissant isn't? It's a little pricey too but the tiny thing but it's good if you're hungry. I love their little trivia questions and "Latte Lottos." You basically write down your name and your favorite quote on the "lotto ticket" and then you put it into the paper bag and come back the next day to see if you win! I actually won it once! Some of the better coffee in the area. There's 2 Starbucks's and 1 Tullys within half a block of where I work, but I'd rather make the trip down here and get some coffee that doesn't taste burnt when I have the time and it's not pouring outside. Significantly better quality coffee than the other bigger chains and they have butterhorns - these pastries that are flaky and amazing, with a slight hint of cinnamon. Their macchiatos are closer to traditional Italian macchiatos, so be careful if you order that (not the same as Starbucks). Since this is in the Expedia building and Seattle-lites love coffee, it can get super busy but don't be scared if there's a long line... they move pretty efficiently. Out of all the Ladros, this is definitely the worst I've been to, I'm not saying it's bad but the others are significantly better. read more

Sadly, I have to update my review and lower my rating to three stars after our experience today. My wife and I dropped by for cookies. My wife noticed they had a new lemon lavender loaf which interested her. The piece she ended up getting was not only stale but pretty broken up. Seems like the person helping us clearly would have noticed this and gotten her a better piece but that didn't happen. Since we got these to go, we didn't notice anything was wrong until we got back to our apartment. I've always had good experiences with Caffe Ladro in the past and at the Seattle location(s) - so I figured, couldn't go wrong right? It's not that this was a 'bad' experience per-se. It was just more of an...uh....meh...*(shoulder shrug)* My drink is an Americano. A pretty no-frills vanilla drink when it comes to espresso. However, there are baristas out there who can make an Americano really jump out of the cup at you when they want to and it can make the difference between just two shots of espresso and an 'American-Oh-Damn-Now-That's-How-You-Do-Coffee!' cup. So - although it seems like a pretty simple drink to make - how well it's made can really make a HUGE difference. Unfortunately, my experience at Caffe Ladro was more of the former than the latter. Not a bad Americano - just not a really good one either. It was... average. Maybe because this spot's anchored down at the bottom of the Expedia building and it's the corporate world through and through. I dunno. It just kinda lacks any personality - and it shows in their coffee. Admittedly, the pastries did look really good and I'd be curious to try them in the future. Huge fan of the dry cappuccino! Caffe Ladro is one of the best places to get coffee in all of downtown Bellevue. Having tried many of the coffee options downtown Bellevue, I find myself running to caffee ladro anytime I'm nearby. Located in the Expedia building downtown, this location is best reached on foot if you don't work in the building. Otherwise parking can be a challenge. I also like that they have simple syrup you can add to your drink. Its the simple things that not many coffee shops offer. read more

Met a friend here for coffee. The place is nice, in a little alcove of the lobby of the Expedia building. It was very clean and had ample seating even though it was busy. The windows gave the place a pleasant ambiance. The line was long and I don't feel that the staff were trying to take care of everybody in an expedited fashion. Now, that was cool with me, because I wasn't in a hurry, but being in an office building like that, I assume most people may be in a hurry, and they definitely didn't show any sense of urgency towards getting everyone taken care of. I understand that if there's a bunch of people, its going to be a bit, but when they start having small talk with customers with obvious disregard for the line, that kinda irks me. My girlfriend always raves how she loves Caffe Ladro coffee and despises Starbucks....well I am a sbux junky but I thought I would check this place out and mix it up. I ordered a short white mocha and remembered to ask what the standard milk was - WHOLE - yuck, non-fat please. The foam on the mocha was perfect, velvety and smooth, with a hand crafted little leaf design. Unlike Starbucks mocha's it was not that sweet but I was trying to evaluate the bitterness of the coffee and it was pretty bitter to me. I give it an A-OK review because that is how I felt the coffee was, it was drinkable and had it's high and low points to it. It was worth a shot. read more

Judging from the size of the crowd at 3:30 on a Tuesday, it's quite popular. The coffee is good and has more options than the standard coffee shack (such as both single short & double tall & double grande drinks). Also, WTH is a "yankee dog"? My coffee spot on lunch. Ladro, you make my work day sometimes. Especially those days where I am desperately in need of a little caffeination to help me along. :) I usually ordered a breve with orange zest. One of the baristas decided the appropriate name for my drink was a Zesty Breve. I'm down. :) Also wonderful is the Medici, or well most any coffee from here. And get the Vegan Oat Bar or the Biscotti. MMMMM. Also, I had a mini-quiche and it was delectable. Free wifi. Which made for bliss on lunch when I brought my iPad. Or I would just bring some headphones, music and a good book. Only thing is during the normal morning rush hours and the time right around and after lunch it can be pretty busy as it is in the base of the Expedia Building. This is a small coffee shop in the lobby of the Expedia building. They have several small 2-person tables and a couple 4-person tables inside. They also have 4 chairs outside for seating near the busy street. I had a Chai Latte, and when staff asked me if I wanted sweet or spicy I was unsure since I usually drink at Starbucks. They suggested half and half, and it was YUMM! Not too much spice and not too much sweet. Also they several sweet treats in the case and the oatmeal cookies are big and moist. I always order the grande spicy soy chai which they are amazing at making. They use the Morning Glory Chai so it's spicier than the chai latte you would usually get at Tullys or at Starbucks. They also have the sweet chai if you prefer that instead! This place is usually busy and when theres a line, it can take a while before you get your drink. Extra points for being able to make them with ricemilk and for having a non dairy mocha base mix. (however, you need to ask for it.
