My favorite drink of choice is not on the menu but custom ordered. It's a matcha latte float but instead of a vanilla soft serve I replace it with a matcha soft serve. It costs a dollar more but way cheaper than if you ordered them separately. The service here is always fast and friendly and most of the time pretty clean. Weekday afternoons are best for no line. When I arrived around 8 PM on a Friday night, there were still a few spots open. If you see street parking first, I'd just take it. The walk isn't bad at all. My friends and I visited Nana's Green Tea after hearing about it nonstop on social media and from people we know. When we walked in, the place was packed, people everywhere and we had arrived around 8:30 PM, about 30 minutes before closing. By that time, they were only taking to-go orders, and all the bakery items were already sold out. They still had their full drink menu available, though. I ordered the matcha soft serve, and my friends tried a couple of the parfait-style drinks, one with cereal and one with horchata. Altogether, it came out to about $30. It's definitely on the pricier side. The soft serve came from a standard machine, and the matcha flavor wasn't anything special. For $8, it felt a bit overpriced, and I've had much better quality matcha elsewhere. As for the parfait, it was decent but very simple, whipped cream, three mochi pieces, and ice cream. The flavor was interesting, but again, not necessarily worth the price. The ambiance is nice, though. The space is modern, clean, and bright, with high tables and a really lively vibe. The only downside was the service, staff seemed rushed and pushed us to order quickly, which I understand since we came in close to closing, but it still felt a bit overwhelming. It would've been cool if the soft serve part was actly black tea or yuzu but it was vanilla. The jello was actly unpleasant. It was just bland with a slight bitterness. The prices might be on the higher end for some drinks, but for the quantity you get and the flavor, it's worth it. This is my favorite dessert cafe to go to in the Greater Seattle area! I've visited the Seattle location for the past couple years before switching to Bellevue, and I'm always impressed by their beautiful and delicious dessert presentations! My favorite item to get are the seasonal parfaits, especially during the spring time. I also love that this location has soft serve, which is especially best value for seasonal flavors. Hopefully the Seattle location provides soft serve soon! I feel that the parfaits are great value and worth the visit. The cream filled croissants are also good too. However, I personally find the roll cakes and some lattes to be a little pricy, so I don't buy them often. Towards the end of last month, nana's had a Bogo for select purple sweet potato desserts. I was surprised by how fast some of the items would sell out- the first time I went for the deal, the Mont Blanc was sold within an hour of the store opening!! I never saw the dorayki either, despite visiting two more times for the bogo. Though I'm glad I could try the Mont Blanc and soft serve before the event ended, the limited quantity of items can be a little disappointing. BLACK SESAME ICE CREAM ($5 per scoop or $12.75 per pint) - super potent and honestly better than their matcha hard serve in my opinion. Their ice cream is made by Olympia Ice Cream company. Note that they only serve black sesame hard serve ice cream (they unfortunately do not offer black sesame soft serve). MATCHA WARABIMOCHI PARFAIT ($12.50) - an Instaworthy dessert that looks like you got it in Japan! It comes with vanilla soft serve, matcha pudding jelly, corn flakes, and matcha hard serve. Similar to the matcha soft serve, you can order it with mochi and red bean paste. It's very big and filling and so I recommend sharing it with a friend! You can also substitute matcha soft serve for $1 more. The hojicha and black sesame parfaits are the same as the matcha parfaits, except they contain hojicha and black sesame hard serve and pudding respectively. Note that service can be slow as they are usually very busy, especially during the weekends. There is a kiosk to order to go orders, but you can also order at the register. Their interior is very modern and they have limited indoor seating. If you can't snag a seat indoors, you can take your dessert to go to enjoy at Downtown Bellevue Park which is only a 2-3 minute walk away.
