One of my favorite health cafes in Seattle! I got an avocado toast and a chocolate smoothie, and both did not disappoint. Additionally, the shop is a great place to study and get work done, with great ambiance and lighting. The baristas are friendly and quick. As for prices, they are decent. Not crazy expensive and definitely not cheap either. However, they have a good loyalty program and I ended up getting a free latte with my points!

I was super excited to check out this cafe for breakfast before my hair appointment and was surprised to find it completely empty at 9am on a Friday morning. I told the guy taking my order, Chase, it was my first time there and he was super patient with me. I had a ton of questions about the menu because of my allergies ans he answered all of them without making me feel stupid. My first sip of the 12 oz oat milk mocha I ordered was so bitter and after a few stirs it was still honestly pretty gross. I was so disappointed in the coffee and it was so strong I think it honestly gave me a tummy ache after. I'm glad I didn't get it with the Maca and I appreciate Chase for explaining what the flavour profile would be like. The açai was absolutely delicious and I loved the texture and crunch of the granola. I'm someone who eats very slowly and I appreciated that the bowl was layered in a way to keep the granola from getting soggy even three hours later. One thing that did perplex me though is their packaging. Despite making a huge deal about their cups not having plastic, my açai bowl was still served to me in a plastic container. And while I love saving the planet, the plant based cup is so flimsy. Do not try to hold it in your elbow while your hands are full. My labubu and I ended up wearing my coffee. The restaurant was super clean and empty and I was easily able to find a table. I wish I could have stayed for longer, there's so much room to work or hang out or craft with friends! I'll definitely have to come back here for the smoothie bowls! P.S: Sorry to the four people in line behind me when I finished ordering and turned around. That was so embarrassing, but Chase didn't make me feel rushed at all while I was ordering and I had no idea there was a line forming...

Sano has really been a great addition to the downtown Bellevue area! I really appreciated the friendly staff and all the healthy choices! The new menu additions are really exciting, I can't wait to try the new plate meals they look so good! The interior design of the space is beautiful and relaxing!

Banana Matcha Dream, Berry Bliss, Steak and Egg Burrito

Was finally able to check this place out. We grabbed the banana matcha dream and the berry bliss for drinks. Personally, I wasn't the biggest fan of the banana matcha dream, but the berry bliss was amazing. I would recommend that one. For food I tried the steak and egg burrito which was really great. It was a bit more oily than I expected, but the steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce it came with paired well with it. The outside of the burrito was also crispy, which I didn't expect. Solid spot overall!

Healthy, fresh options in this cafe. There are a few locations but Bellevue was most convenient to me so I visited this one. Parking is extremely challenging if you don't want to pay a fortune - or you're better off transiting to the Bellevue station as that's walking distance. I got the egg toast which is basically an avocado toast but with radish, egg, and green goddess dressing on top. I love the green goddess dressing and it adds a bit of zest to the toast, and the rest of the ingredients are pretty fresh. Next time I will try some of their latte as there are less common options like collagen that seemed interesting

Cacao Cloud smoothie was delicious!!! It was a little $$$ - almost $15 for the smoothie but definitely a good grab if you're craving it!

The sunshine daydream smoothie and Pearadise juice are amazing! Juice was a bit pricey for a small 8oz but the blend was delicious. The smoothie was refreshing and perfect after hot Pilates! Service was great I got my drink fairly quickly. The decor and ambiance is beautiful, I could definitely see myself doing some work or enjoying a slow breakfast here. I will definitely be back to try that Sano brownie!

I ordered 2 island açaí bowls from Uber Eats. The shop didn't know about the orders until I get there which is quite odd. Since I wasn't in a rush, it was fine and they made it very quickly. The ingredients were fresh , but the açaí were still in lumps for one bowl and wasn't mashed like normal. I guess they were trying to rush the order. Other than it, I feel like it was a very refreshing açaí bowl and will be back to try other flavors.

Stopped by Sano in downtown Bellevue. Food was good and service was even better. They were so friendly and helpful in helping me choose my dish. Food also came out pretty fast and there was a steady stream of folks at 11AM on a Wednesday. I got the egg avocado toast and the Golden Roots juice. The toast was great - thick slice of bread, perfectly poached egg, and super super fresh ingredients. Could've used a pinch more salt or a little hot sauce, but that's just personal preference. The juice was refreshing and I loved that it came in a cute, reusable glass jar from the grab-and-go fridge. It's a cute place to work and had bright lighting.

My friend ordered the vitamin sea smoothie and it was thick and flavorful, but my daily greens smoothie genuinely tasted like juice and was not the same thick consistency of the other smoothie. Extremely disappointed because it was so pricey.

Located: across from Evergreen. Parking: street parking This is more a open space concept of organic small cafe with simple menu. Menu selection: Coffee Juice Salad bowl Acai Bowl Toast And energy bar. The person is very nice and friendly. Its a very quiet and big space if you want to enjoy your coffee and do your work. I got: Acai bowl Sano brownie bar Elevate juice Hope they will expand their menu more.

Super cute and aesthetic cafe. Located inside an office building. Ample seating. Ordered the mexican latte and my friend ordered the orange espresso. We both enjoyed our drinks. Would come back again to try their other drinks and items. There is one barista taking orders and making the drinks. So there was a bit of wait, but did not mind.

This was my first time at Emerald City Smoothie in ten years and my first time at the Downtown Bellevue location. The interior is fairly small with only a few tables to sit/stand at and so it's mostly a takeout place rather than a place to meet with friends. Emerald City Smoothie has a wide menu and categorize their menu into five categories based on health goals: "Boost My Immune System", "Help Me Lose Weight", "Go Green", "Bulk Me Up" and "Nourish My Body". They also have a menu just for "Boosters" which cost extra and include everything from antioxidants to bees pollen to creatine and fat burner. Lastly, they have a Secret Menu which includes Banana Creme Pie, Matcha Green Tea, Maui Paradise, Mountain Berry Blast, Orange Creamsicle, Piña Colada, and Peanut Butter Cup. I'm pretty sure their secret menu is just drinks that don't fit into the other categories (or ran out of room for), because they had these same drinks on their menu ten years ago. I ordered the MATCHA GREEN TEA (16-oz) off the secret menu. This smoothie has soy milk, matcha, non-fat milk, and whey. For $7.44 (including tax), this was pretty pricey for a "healthified" matcha Frappucinno. They obviously don't use high quality matcha as the matcha color was on the yellow side and the taste was quite diluted and bland. It mostly just tasted like sugary blended milk with little to no matcha flavor; I was honestly disappointed, but drank it anyway. My friend got her favorite NUTTY BANANA (sub vegan protein) which has banana, peanut butter, protein, and nonfat milk, which is probably what I should've gotten instead. She also ordered a PB&J and MANGO MANIA for her family members which are also supposed to be decent. Lesson learned, stick with the fruit smoothies. Service was good- the baristas are friendly and efficient and we got our drinks within 10 minutes after ordering. Overall: 2/5 for drinks, 4/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

There are 3 cafes I go to on the regular for my hojicha fix: Magic Matcha, Tendon Kohaku, and Bobae in Kirkland. While I enjoy all three, Magic Matcha is my favorite. The roasted tea flavor is strong, they allow me to adjust the sweetness level, and the flavor of the drink is always consistent. I've had issues with Tendon and Bobae either changing up the brand or the roast or adding too much milk on any given day. One of my gfs loves their horchata hojicha so there's that. I tasted it and it was objectively good. I wouldn't get it only because I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon, but if I were, it would be another go-to drink.

I've been here twice, once a few years ago with my cousins, and another three days ago. The people working were attentive and quick with their service. The ambiance of the place is cute, a lot of pink and green, very instagram-worthy, and I saw a few people with friends or working on their laptop so it seems like a great place vibe-wise. To expand on my matcha critique, I found the color to be a little on the green-yellow side, which isn't the end all- be all quality indicator for matcha, but I find matcha lattes that are more rich in color tend to taste better and this tasted like a matcha drink I could make with costco matcha. I've made some decent lattes with costco matcha but once I switched to the more higher quality ones, well, it sorta refined my tastes. There isn't a lot of parking, and to be fair, a lot of people who are in downtown Bellevue are parked elsewhere else and likely just meander their way to the cafe. However, if you're coming in by car, I'd suggest parking by the apartments nearby, DO NOT park at the Chase Bank lot, even if the bank itself is closed (learned my lesson...). Overall, a 3.7-3.9. Could be better. Maybe with other additives like cold foam or strawberries, the drink is better, but I'm judging based off the basic latte.

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!
