To find out there are Japanese sandwiches in America, I was beyond excited. Japanese sandwiches are one of my favorite things in Japan so I knew I had to stop by. We got 7 sandwiches to share among the two of us. A little overboard, but you bet we finished them. My favorite was the tonkatsu sandwich (their best seller) and the strawberry whipped cream sandwich. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any. 10/10! Wish you were in LA. I would visit every week.

Food was excellent and tasted very fresh. The bread is soft and fluffy. Highly recommend the egg salad sandwich and the strawberry sandwich.

Tres Sandwich is one of our favorite weekend stops! My husband and I usually swing by to grab a few sandwiches before heading out for a hike or beach picnic, and it never disappoints. The sandwiches are always fresh, flavorful, and perfect for taking on the go. My favorite is the Blazing Sesame Chicken -- so tasty and satisfying. It's become part of our little weekend tradition. Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious, convenient bite!

This Japanese sando shop in Bellevue is something really special. From the moment I walked in, the experience was warm, welcoming, and clearly rooted in care and authenticity. The shop is run by Japanese staff who are kind, attentive, and passionate about what they do, and it really shows. The sandwiches themselves are outstanding. The bread is incredibly soft and pillowy - probably the best shokupan I've ever had. It's the kind of bread that somehow manages to be both light and rich at the same time, and it elevates everything between the slices. I tried a few different options and each one was excellent. The salmon lox sando was fresh and flavorful. The pork katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy inside. And the strawberries and cream sandwich was delicate, fresh, and not too sweet - the perfect finish. Tres Sandwich strikes a rare balance: creative but rooted in tradition, elevated but approachable. It's clear a lot of thought goes into everything they make. This isn't just a good sandwich shop - it's the kind of place that leaves an impression. I'll absolutely be back, and I'll be telling everyone I know to check it out.

I was craving the Japanese sandwich last week and stopped by in the morning. The parking was complimentary in that plaza and service was friendly. Ambiance was warm and welcoming as soon as I walked in. I picked some sandwiches and really enjoyed the experience.

Nut allergy friendly: There are clearly some sandos with nuts, like the peanut butter jelly sandwich, but most do not have any and the ingredients are clearly identified for each if you ask during purchase. According to my local Seattle friend, it is a tradition to take a few sandos on moderately long hikes to enjoy at the summit, so that is what we do (or whenever we're at a convention, or...just want some sandos while I'm in town). Sandos are generally $6-$8. The prices are found in the display cabinet. Service is really fast; sandwiches are pre-made and there are two registers zipping people through. I've had a few sandos from here in the past, usually their pork katsu or the standard ham. They're pretty solid. I recently got the fried cod sandwich and although it is relatively mayo heavy, I thought it was one of their best ones and would definitely get it again. One sando is a nice light lunch and you could definitely eat two or even three on a hike or if you're doing something that makes an appetite. Great little sando spot. Lot of options. Quick service. No complaints.

Great grab and go spot to check out before heading off for a hike! We ate these before our nearby 5-mile hike, and it was the perfect fuel. I didn't feel too heavy while staying satiated during the entire hike. They run out of sandwiches early, which is understandable considering how yummy they are. At around 9:30am on a Sunday, I snagged the last TRES Egg sandwich (5/5). This was basically an egg salad sandwich using scrambled egg instead of boiled egg. I also tried the matcha strawberry sandwich (4/5) which was good, but I prefer the regular strawberry sandwich (5/5). I noticed that they had preorders set aside, so it could be worth placing an online order to ensure you get what you want. There are so many options on the menu while at the same time not being too overwhelming. There is something for everyone here!

This place sells delicious Japanese sandwiches. The white bread is super soft and pillowy. Sandwiches also are crustless. They have a variety of savory and sweet sandwiches. My go to is the egg salad and the kiddos like the strawberry. Make sure you go there early especially on weekends as the popular sandwiches get sold out. There is an option to order online on their website but it is more like a preorder for pickup 1 business day later.

I was really sad after my JP trip that I wouldn't have access to the egg sandos anymore, but now I do! Went in on Sunday around 11 AM to grab an egg and strawberry sando & was not disappointed. The staff recommended the pork cutlet & strawberry sandos as the most popular. I love that they have a variety of options. The bread was so soft and the inside was perfect. I ate these everyday in japan, so it was really nice getting to have them here as well. The stawberries were also deliciously sweet. They are priced at around $5 each which is very reasonable. I will defiantly be coming back for more! The Tres Special is especially calling my name. Since it is only a to-go sandwich shop, you can grab your sandwiches and go to a nearby park for a little picnic.

As close as I can get to konbini sandwich without flying to JP. I can see why they sell out but I'm not fully sold on it yet. Cut approved. Mad promising: egg sando Just okay: katsu sando and strawberry cream

This business is charging almost $7 for 2 small sandwiches that has 1/3 amount of stuffing in it. Look at the empty bread.

I like Tres Sandwich but I have issues with their prices, portions, and promise of delivering all types of sandwiches listed on their website and shop since I've never once seen all of these varieties available and visible together. PROS - great location, plenty of parking - online order system is great - supposedly offers a wide variety of sandwiches, both savory and sweet - my favorites are egg salad, fiery chicken, loco moco and shrimp cutlet. Also their sweet sandwiches are great and well filled. - bread is freshly baked, incredibly soft and fluffy. Bread sold separately. The bread reminds me of actual Japanese bread eaten in Tokyo - Friendly and polite staff. Everyone always smiles CONS - savory sandwiches are overpriced for the value. I paid $6.80 before tax for 2 shrimp cutlet sandwiches. Picture shows that only 1/3 of the sandwich is filled. This is consistent across majority of their savory sandwiches where I pay these prices for eating plain bread. If I'm paying such prices for a tiny sandwich I expect a good balance. - The ratio of stuffing to bread is bad. 2/3 of every sandwich lacks any stuffing especially the edges which are always empty. There's not even butter! Skimping on stuffing is one of the cardinal sins in my books. - Never ever have I received, ordered or even seen all the varieties they claim to sell online in person. Yesterday at 11am on a Saturday, when I asked about the loco moco I was told they "were sold out." How can you sell out of a popular sandwich at 11am in the middle of your work day? What are you doing in the kitchen for the next 3 hours? Are you serious? My assumption is that they don't and will never have all the varieties available that they claim to sell. This is a serious offense to my tummy. Produce evidence of said sandwich or remove promises from your site. - limited hours and timing. They've never expanded, don't allow same day orders online and continue to "sell out" like it's a good thing. Well it's not. If you're constantly out of sandwiches you are not successfully forecasting how much to produce. - tipping culture is out of control. You're running a takeout window! Expecting tips when I'm going out of my way to drive, spend time and money to arrive at a small shop where they don't even offer seating, is asinine. Pay your workers living wages and stop shoving off your responsibility to consumers who don't even get the joy of eating a complete balanced sandwich. I have issues with how this business operates and I hope they improve. In the meantime, go check out their sandwiches and make up your own mind. For me, I'm limiting my intake until I see improvements.

I have been wanting to go to Tres Sandwiches for years, it's known for the infamous Japanese veggie, meat, seafood, and fruit sandwiches. I got super excited and got 6 different kinds of sandwiches to try which are sweet and savory options. The sandwiches ranged from around $5-$8. While I think it is a bit pricey but after trying it, I might think it's worth it for some options. The first one I had was the pork cutlet, it was absolutely delicious, I was very surprised by this one because even though the sandwich is cold I expected the pork to not taste good, but it still taste great! pork was tender, fried perfectly and goes well with the mayo and bread. My favorite is the strawberry matcha sandwich, this is my first time trying the whipped cream strawberry sandwich which was what this place is famous for and wow it did not disappoint! The bread and whip cream paired perfectly with the sweet and sour strawberry and the matcha just took it to another level. Their sandwiches are so good, the quality is great, bread is super fluffy and milky. Lots of sweet and savory options. Highly recommend!

Very long line but very quick service. I tried the chicken filet sandwich and the strawberry cream sandwich - both were good but strawberry cream is the one to come back for. Excited to try a new one next time!

Is it possible to eat here with a dairy allergy?

Our white bread doesn't have dairy products. However, some of sandwich's ingredients has daily. It depends on the kind of sandwiches. Please check the ingredients on our home page's menu.

Do they still do party platters?

They take large orders but you need to notify them in advance. My work just had a party and they had several boxes from them but they notified them a few days in advance and told then which sandwiches they wanted.

Place clean and my eyes immediately went to the menu to see if they have vegetarian options. I asked the person taking my order and she suggested the veggie melt or Mediterranean that they can take the meat out. I opted for veggie melt and they have lots of options for toppings and sauces . I got the works and added the spicy ranch. Second order was the chicken avocado wrap and did the same with the works topping. Our food did get a little soggy by the time I got home and opened it. The many locations in the Seattle metro area have opened very recently, with this location in Redmond being the easiest to get to for me. To continue the theme of a sandwich dinner, I decided to walk to the nearby Potbelly to pick up a couple of sandwiches, but mainly to satisfy my craving for a genuine hand scooped ice cream shake. I carried it back to the apartment, and provided a nice repast for us on a Sunday night. First, the vanilla and strawberry shakes ($5.59 each) were very good. It uses hand scooped vanilla ice cream, mixed with strawberry syrup and milk in a blender. The vanilla shake was better than the strawberry, mainly because the strawberry syrup didn't really add as much flavor as I would have liked...but the base was excellent, using good ice cream. Cubano ($10.99), mixing ham and pulled pork with swiss, toasting it, then adding mustard and pickles. Cubano ingredients, but no sandwich press and the bread was wrong. Since I knew it wasn't authentic, decided to also add giardiniera, which was my mistake...it tasted fine, but completely overwhelmed the sandwich. Toasted Italian ($10.99), salami, capicola, pepperoni, and mortadella with provolone cheese. One can add any toppings you want. In my case it was lettuce, tomato, mayo. It's was a good sandwich. The bread for both sandwiches seems to be Torano, which along with Gonnella, are the two Chicago-area bakers known for their french rolls used to make subs and especially Italian beef sandwiches. This is different than most other sub chains that make their bread in-house. I thought the bread was fine, especially when toasted. Also the topping called hot peppers is really Chicago style giardiniera...really authentic...reminding me of Chicago. They also have a large selection of different soups, including a good beef chili I've had in the past. The store actually did remind me of sub shops from where I grew up, and thought the prices for the location were reasonable as well.
