The tofu soup and galbi were delicious! The Hambok steak was unique. A bit tangy.. tasted like mustard and Worcestershire.. but still good. Def will be back for tofu soup and the Army Soup!
The four of us came on Fri night around 7PM and were able to get seated right away. They have a few bottled beers available including Terra. We started with the Tuna Kimbap and it was solid. All four of us ordered Dolsot Bibimbap - two with bulgogi, one with spicy pork and one with Galbi-jjim....and we all had the same reaction - WINNER! The tastes and portions were spot on and we left very satsified and content with our decision to visit Mama's Kitchen!
Food was good, but service very bad. Had to call over the server multiple times to get items that we needed to eat our meal. The seafood pancake, ban ban fried chicken, and vegetable bibampap was ordered. Only 2 small banchan dishes was given. I thought cost was high for portion size and service. 2nd time here to give it another try. Will go to my go to Korean restaurant in Bellevue and Issaquah instead.

Portions are very generous! I ordered the dolsot bibimbap and usually this is enough for one person, but they gave so much here that it could've been shared with my party! It was a lot, but good. I was able to try out the wings and kimbap as well and it was all pretty good. No hate. Service is as expected. Not going out of their way to give an outstanding experience. Just enough to get you what you need. There aren't too many tables and I can see the larger table in the middle being shared by different groups cafeteria style. Overall, good spot to eat and grab some Korean food on a cold rainy day.
The ambiance is modern with a few casual tables, and it felt cozy overall. I came to meet a friend around 7:45 PM on a Tuesday. The kitchen was open, clean, and maintained good hygiene. The server was incredibly friendly and sweet. Since I arrived quite early, he kindly offered me a hot tea, which was very tasty and refreshing. I ordered the bibimbap, which was quite good everything appeared fresh, and the egg and flavors were enjoyable. The best part was that the server didn't rush us at all, whether it was with the order or the check. We ended up staying for nearly two hours, talking about everything openly.
Solid spot for Korean food in Bellevue! Would recommend coming with more people so you can share. I came here with 2 friends for dinner on a Tuesday night around 6 pm and it was still fairly empty. It was completely full by the time we left with 1-2 groups waiting, so it's definitely a popular spot. We came in the middle of a heat wave, but it didn't feel like the restaurant turned on their AC, so it was super hot and stuffy inside. I was hoping to escape the heat by coming to the restaurant but sadly that wasn't the case. On top of that, they gave us room temperature water at the beginning, and we had to specifically ask for iced water. If it's that hot inside and out, at the very least they could've given everyone iced water by default... Anyways, moving onto the food. We shared the following items: Veggie eggroll ($6.99) - pretty standard Ban ban chicken ($24.99) - didn't realize their fried chicken would be in the form of chicken wings and not drumsticks, which is what I'm used to. The menu doesn't call out that it's chicken wings either, which would've been helpful. I liked it but thought it was pricy for the portion Galbi-jjim bibimbap ($24.99) - my favorite dish of the night. Galbi was flavorful and they include plenty of egg and veggies to mix together with the rice Katsu mayo over rice ($16.99) - I personally found this dish bland but my other friends liked it. I didn't think there was enough flavor in the chicken and egg to eat with all the rice they give you
I first saw Mama's Kitchen while visiting another restaurants in the plaza. I always like trying Korean food restaurants and this one was very good! We went towards the end of lunch and were seated quickly (there's no reservations, only a wait list). While the seating area isn't large, they're able to fit quite a few tables in and there is an open kitchen at the back. Everything was very clean and the staff were very efficient in bussing tables. They were also quick in taking our order and the food also came out to us quickly. As for the food, I have my favorites and had to get the soondoboo soup. I'd say this is higher on my list of good ones, nice flavor without it being too spicy and I only wish the bowl was bigger. We also ordered the beef bulgogi over rice, also with excellent flavor and quality meat and the seafood pancake. The pancake had lots of seafood but I wasn't used to the panko-like breading. Altogether very good and would go back next time I'm in the area.
I'm writing this review based on two separate visits. I wanted to share my experience--especially with the Half & Half (H&H) chicken--and see if others had similar thoughts. During my first visit, I ordered the H&H chicken and the hamburger steak. The hamburger steak lacked seasoning and had an unpleasant ground meat smell that wasn't masked well. But the worst part was the plating. The plate was full of water from the salad, which had run into the rice and meat. Every time I picked up a piece of food, I had to shake off excess water--it was really off-putting. The H&H chicken was the most disappointing. I took most of it to go, and while packing, I noticed all six pieces were wings. I had already eaten a couple, so I was confused--how could there be more than two wings from one chicken? I looked around and noticed other tables who ordered the same dish didn't get just wings, so I'm not sure what happened there. On my second visit, I ordered the chadol jjolmyun, veggie kimbap (their best and signature item), and chicken katsu. The chicken katsu is basically the same as the hamburger steak in terms of sauce and plating--just a different protein. I'm not a fan of their sauce. I wish they offered something with more kick or a tangier flavor. The overall taste was bland, and I quickly got tired of it. The chadol jjolmyun was pretty good--plenty of veggies and nicely cooked meat on top. The initial presentation was scrumptious. However, the noodles were buried at the bottom and hard to mix in. Also, the flavor leaned greasy due to the meat and extra sesame oil. A bit more vinegar or something refreshing would have balanced it better. The veggie kimbap remains my favorite. It has a minimal rice-to-veggie ratio and is packed with fresh ingredients. The side of pickled radish kimchi adds a nice kick and helps reset your palate between bites. Overall, I still feel the prices are a bit high for what you get, but since everything is expensive these days, I might come back occasionally. When I do, I'll stick to their signature items like kimbap and tteokbokki.
Very authentic Korean place. Small place and the wait around dinner time can be hectic since they are understaff and waitlist is confusing. But the food was great. I particularly like bubibamp. Lots of veggies and they even have some jelly like veggies that I rarely seen in other places. Their kimbamp are huge with lots of filling and less rice. But would skip on the tofu soup. It taste a lot like msg with lots of chili powder.
Mama's Kitchen is a small mom and pop shop serving Korean classics. We came here for lunch and was lucky to get a table right away. It was quite a wait before we got our food but they were all delicious so all is well. We got the seafood pancake, the gyoza, the ban ban chicken and a cup of sikhye. - The seafood pancake was great, it had a different texture compared to pancakes that I've had in the past, not better or worse, just different. - The gyoza I couldn't remember, it was mostly consumed by our kid. - We enjoyed the ban ban chicken; I liked their yangnyeom sauce. - The sikhye (traditional sweet Korean rice beverage) was pretty good but is an acquired taste, so some might not appreciate it. They seem to be known for their kimbap so I would try that next time.
Mama's Kitchen is my favorite Korean restaurant in the Seattle area! It is my go-to spot while visiting the Bellevue/Factoria area. Every dish is flavorful, well-portioned, and comes piping hot. The service is friendly and quick; however, the restaurant is small and does not take reservations, so expect a wait during peak lunchtime hours and on weekends. My favorite items are the seafood pancake and the tofu soup (soonduboo jigae). I LOVE seafood pancakes, and this one is crispy, light, and packed with shrimp, squid, and mussels. It comes with a delicious sauce that I can't get enough of. The tofu soup is hearty and balanced, and has meatballs, shrimp, mussels, squid, and scallops, along with a side of rice and banchan. The tofu is soft and creamy, and the rice is perfectly cooked. I don't usually eat white rice at home, so this really hits the spot! The fried chicken is crispy and juicy, and on par with other Korean fried chicken places I've tried in the area. The restaurant itself is clean, sleek, and comfortable for a quick lunch or hangout with friends.

Food was great! Definitely more of a casual eats Korean menu Gimbap is definitely the winner. Don't regret ordering the cheese kimchi pancake but not worth ordering again. Will definitely be back to eat the gimbap again and try more! read more
Service was good. Waitress refilled the banchan without us requesting a refill which was nice. Really enjoyed the temperature of the tofu soup. It was piping hot when it came out, which I prefer. I think adding an egg costs a bit more though which is different than other places. The soup had lots of seafood - scallops, mussels, shrimp (bay), and squid and they allow you to customize the spice level. The combination tofu soup and spicy pork was good. Portion wise my mom and I had the combo + a seafood pancake and had leftovers for a small lunch for one person. Total was 70 something after tip. The seafood pancake I get why some folks had problems with it. It's different in texture than other places. I found it had a good crunch and had a good batter to seafood ratio; it's just not what you expect but I still found it tasty. read more

Exactly what it says it is: Korean comfort food. Prices a bit on the higher side, but good portion sizes and we liked the food a lot. When you walk in you immediately get served hot barley tea. Menu on QR codes. Relatively fast service. Small restaurant that I can see getting pretty busy during peak hours. We tried the seafood ramen and the kalbi bibimbop. My only complaint is the "hot sauce" isn't spicy at all! read more
A cute little shop across from T&T supermarket. Pretty straightforward restaurant there's like barely any decorations but their food is legit! Got the jalapeño mayo and honey fried chicken combo and the kimchi fried rice with melted cheese. I was not expecting the jalapeño mayo to be sweet but it paired really well with the fried chicken! The honey chickens also really well balance and fried to perfection. I kind of expected the Kimchi fried rice to be spicy but it wasn't. It was actually really pleasant and you can kind of taste the wok a little. It was maybe a little too oily for my taste but that could also be the heap of cheese on top. Can't wait to try more of their menu! read more
Hearty and heavy comfort food here! My friend and I have mistaken this place for Mama Dough in Kent for the longest time solely because of their similar names, yet both serve different kinds of cuisine and are located in different cities. We had that conversation as we were driving to here, which is located in the same plaza where Chi Chi is. Oddly enough, the parking lot is massive yet parking was rough to find especially on a Friday evening around 5:30pm. Well, when you do find parking and get here, you're greeted with quite a plain white interior that has many tables for 2 to 4 people, and tons of K-pop music playing in the background. The overall place was really clean despite it being nearly packed when I walked in. The menu is offered as a QR code, and servers take your order when you're ready. We placed our order for food and then waited for quite a while, to the point where the two people who got seated after we did AND sat right next to us got all their food before my friend and I did, and we all ordered very similar things. It's because of this inconsistency of orders that this visit wasn't the 5-star visit it should have been. All of the above being said, the food slaps really hard for it being comfort food! We went overboard, as I usually do when I eat out: - I got the katsu mayo over rice as my main dish. The rice and eggs were quite plain, and the egg texture wasn't my favorite. The real winner was the chicken cutlet with their mayo drizzled on top of it. My taste buds were in love with the combination of tender, juicy meat, and a subtle hint of sweet coming from the mayo. This ended up being a lot and it was one of two dishes I ended up packing as leftovers. - I didn't eat my friend's galbi-jjim bibimbap in its entirety, but he did give me a large piece of the beef short ribs that came with it. Wow I could eat the meat by itself and I'd be satsfied, it was flavorful and juicy x1000! - We both also split a serving of ban ban chicken, which came with both original fried chicken and yangnyeom (gochujang sauce covered) fried chicken. Pieces varied a lot by size for both kinds, but it was still very satisfying. I took some of the original fried chicken to go as we couldn't finish what was left. All of these dishes were quite heavy, so come with a big appetite and maybe not go as crazy as I did. You'll have a great time eating here! read more
The rose tteokbokki is always a 10/10! The bibimbap was a first this time, you can't mess it up. But it wasn't the best I've ever had. The jalapeño mayo wings reminded me of the honey walnut prawn sweet sauce. I've been here multiple times and they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly. read more

My parents introduced me to this Korean comfort food shop nestled in a small shopping center across from Factoria Village, and I'm in love! There is always parking either in the parking lot the restaurant's in or in the much larger lot across the street. I recommend coming a little before noon or after the lunch rush to avoid having to wait in line. The service is friendly and ambiance is bright and clean. You'll see lots of Korean families and older Koreans eating here so you know the food is legit and delicious! I've tried quite a few things here and my favorites are the Chadol Jjolmyeon Noodle and Chicken Katsu. * Mama's Kimbap (2/5) - very pretty to look at and packed with lots of ingredients, but somehow it just wasn't that flavorful and it was a little dry. I've definitely had better at many other restaurants. * Mama's Budae Jjigae Soup (2/5) - a little too salty for my taste. I personally recommend getting this at have-Nam Kalbi & Calamari down in Shoreline instead, because it's lighter and not as salty for me. * Chadol Jjolmyeon Noodle (5/5) - presentation is 10/10 and the dish is flavorful, refreshing, and filling. The grilled chadol (beef brisket) tastes buttery, smoky, and just overall addicting. If I could, I would order another side of it. The generous portion of salad topping the cold, chewy noodles below pair so well with the sweet and sour sauce. This is my go-to dish and I highly recommend it especially on a hot summer day, or even when you just want something more refreshing. * Seafood Pancake (2/5) - I really wanted to love this but it was lacking in texture and flavor. The pancake was doughy and the sauce it came with was very one-note. For really good seafood pancake + sauce, I recommend Stone Korean Restaurant in Seattle. * Chicken Katsu (5/5) - the sauce and katsu are to-die-for. The sauce tastes like it's been slowly cooked with red wine, almost like a demi-glace. The katsu portion is generous and not oily at all. It also comes with a side of cream soup, which my stepdad and I both like using as another option of katsu dipping sauce. read more
Katsu mayo hit the spot - the seaweed on top was a nice touch. Mayo mightve been a tad on the sweet side for my taste, could've had a touch more savory balance, but maybe others like the sweet more. Shrimp tempura was beautifully light and airy, with the perfect vinaigrette dipping sauce to cut through the oily batter. Wings were a little dense on the batter and oiliness - felt a little too heavy. Could've used a better brine for more flavor inside the chicken. Both sauces were tasty though - the jalapeño mayo was missing something (probably also the same savory factor as the katsu mayo - could've fried the diced jalapeño and maybe added some salty fried garlic to really blend the flavors together, as it just tastes like sweet american coleslaw dressing with raw diced jalapeño currently). The honey sauce was my favorite, no change needed. Prices are quite high but average for korean food. Service was good. Busy for a late afternoon lunch, which is a good sign. read more
Came here for lunch with some friends and it was busy but not too bad. Not much wait and food came out quickly. It's such a chill fast casual place that makes it for easy dining. Food is always good here and doesn't disappoint, Korean fried chicken is great here and the sauce doesn't over power and skin is crispy. Bibimbap with galbi jjim only came with 4 pieces of beef but it seems plenty. We mixed it up w the ssamjang sauce, we even added the leftover rice we couldn't finish from the Soondubu to take home since we couldn't finish it. The Soondubu could be a bit more spicier but maybe my palate likes it a bit more spicier. We also got Mamas kimbap which wasn't anything to rave about but it was wrapped well and tasty. Side dishes are always different but this time there was some fried eggplant which was nice since I never had a side dish like that before. read more

Food...delicious!!! Let's be real, I can't produce these dishes' names so I was thankful for menu with English descriptions. Thank you for that. Service was attentive and ambiance was neat and modern. I realize I like to eat in restaurants that have a warmer colors. Browns, wood, gold...this restaurant was cool colors. So I didn't enjoy sitting in the restaurant. This is totally my personal opinion, in fact, all of it is. read more
Met up with a friend for dinner and our first choice was closed so we decided to try this place. This is a small place with about 10 tables. There was only 1 waiter working and he was on top of it. He kept our water cups filled all night. It was busy when we got there and people flowed in and out throughout the entire time we were there (about 2 hrs). Food came out pretty quick and everything tasted great. The katsu with mayo was delish. If you're a mayo lover then you'll enjoy this dish very much. The potstickers was great as was the tofu soup. The tofu soup had a good amount of seafood too. Banchan was delicious too. Definitely going back again. read more

Really small shop, not much space for waiting inside and not many tables to go around. Service took a significant amount of time, from getting our order taken to receiving the order. That said, the Mama's Spicy Galbijjim was DELICIOUS - everything from the tender meat to the tteokbokki to the sauce was amazing. The kimbap was also excellent, and overall the food quality made the entire wait worth it. read more
Small cozy korean restaurant. We got kimchi cheese fried rice, ban ban chicken (half yangyeom and plain), tteokbokki, seafood pancake, and mama's galbijjim. All the food was good and my favorites were the seafood pancake and kimchi fried rice!! The seafood pancake had plentiful seafood and was covered in crispy panko bread. Their food such as the tteokbokki is not spicy and more on the sweeter side. $ to portion size was a bit on the higher side. In general, good korean food and would only come back if I was craving korean food in the area. read more
I came back!! And loved it once again. I ordered the seafood ramen and my gosh it's so delicious. Ramen is one of my favorites and this broth is delicious. I come here from time to time and it always hits! This is what I crave when I want some korean comfort food. I've tried a few items off their menu but there's 3 staples I will always get when I dine in. Tuna Kimbap, you get a massive roll with fresh ingredients and the rice ratio is perfect! Spicy Pork over Rice, packs a good amount of heat with nice flavor from the marinade. I do wish it was a little more savory, korean food tends to be more on the sweeter side but that's also just my preference. Seafood Ramen, this is a must to pair with kimbap in my opinion. You have to dip it in the broth!! The ramen is a hit or miss sometimes, but when it hits it hits the right spots. Nice bouncy noodles with some squid, scallops, mussel and shrimp. Today the broth was perfectly flavorful and you really taste the seafood. It's never been super busy when I've stopped by luckily, and the service is always nice.
