They serve your ginger as grated, so it's not as strong flavor for the mild ginger loving fans. I personally prefer mine to be stronger, so I asked for 2 more! The staff were attentive and food came out fairly quick. We were in and out within 30-45 minutes. The pork in the pan fried pork buns were juicy and tasted a lot like the pork in the pork XLB, though I wish the buns were a little bit crispier on the bottom. Beef stew was decent, though not the best I've had. The XLBs and dumplings were also decent.

First time at this location and we like it a lot because our kids enjoyed the food and they were able to walk/run around the restaurant :). We of course went during non-busy time so the kids were able to do it, but it's one of the bigger location so it's more spacious. It was pretty quiet when we were there so not too busy and it was pretty relaxing atmosphere Food wise: Pork Xiao long bao - standard Wonton soup - soup was bland. Wonton skin was thick, not my favorite Zhiang noodle -flavorful, yummy, kids love it Onion pancakes-- took a really long time for it to come out, and really thin Price was good for what we got. Overall, it's a good place to come with kids

I had a reservation for three, and we were promptly seated on a Sunday evening. I'm glad we made the reservation earlier that evening, as there were several parties loitering around the entrance area. Dough Zone is great, with their XLB skins being thicker than other XLB restaurants, and their Q-Baos (fried buns) always delicious and rocking a crispy bottom and fluffy tops. The Dan Dan Noodles had great chew and I would pass on getting the Zha Jiang Mian in favor of... just more Dan Dan Noodles. The cucumber salad is fun (fun shape, like a dragon/snake?) but pales with less flavor than other spots. Restroom in the back, condiments (vinegar and soy sauce) on the table. Service is maybe another gripe as it was a rotating menagerie of servers who helped us at our table, but no one was felt really like they kept an eye on us and we ended up flagging down some staff to get our check so we could leave.

So, the previous review, 5 stars solely for the Beef Noodle Soup no longer applies. Its nowhere what it used to be, but still serviceable. No longer a "must order," but not gonna complain if its brought to the table. Something I always wondered was why does DZ not have a chinese staple of fried rice?!? It took 8+ years, but they finally have it. The first few times we tried it, it was just meh, but the most recent version is improved. There is a noticeable attempt at DZ to improve whatever they serve and that is appreciated. While not as good as DTF fried rice, its good enough to order now, so do it! The pumpkin XLB? Nope. :) Always like ordering the Steamed Pork Buns, a MUST EAT while hot, do NOT let it get cold, just not the same if you let it sit. I wish the spicy pork won tons had more girth to them, they are just too small, so DZ, I hope you hear this, beef, or shall I say, Pork it up!

Being ignored not only once when it's afternoon time. No staff at the front. Not tasting as good as before. Hope they could be the same as years ago with only 2 locations.

Party of 3 here on a Thursday for a late lunch. Not really busy in the main dining area but a large group (20+) did arrive to use the private side room. First time here so we ordered a variety of dishes. We liked the unique way of ordering: we were given a sheet of paper with every menu item so we could mark quantities next to each item we wanted to order. Service was prompt and friendly. The Dan Dan noodles were fantastic, we had a couple different dumplings and wontons, all were delicious. The spiral cut sweet & sour cucumber was also a hit. The topper was the specialty Xiao Long Bao in pumpkin, just in time for Fall. After our meal we walked over to the Bellevue Downtown Park to enjoy the fountain and ducks. Great afternoon, we will return when in the area.

Came here for lunch at noon! It wasn't super busy. Servers were attentive and food came out relatively quickly. We ordered a bunch of items but my favorite were the chicken soup dumplings, chicken with chili garlic wontons, and beef wontons. I was not a fan of the beef noodles mainly because the portion size was too small and there was barely any beef in it. Also, the beef that was in the dish was mostly fat so we barely got the meat.

The food here was solid and to be honest this restaurant is far nicer than some of the other rough zones I've been to, so was really happy about that. The service was good too, nothing terrible but also nothing that stood out. The only reason I'm diving this 4 stars is because there are some dishes where i think they can do a lot better. We ordered the beef noodles and it came with like 5 pieces of badly cooked beef and only a bit of noodles. Compared to the generous quantity and high quality of wontons and dumplings, I think this can be improved. Parking is a bit difficult but that's to be expected given the area is more like a downtown area

Centered around its very good dumplings and noodles, Dough Zone Dumpling House has locations throughout the West Coast, including eight in the Seattle area. We had the opportunity to visit this location in downtown Bellevue, and our large group really enjoyed sharing a variety of dumplings, pancakes, and noodles at a reasonable price, especially for the area. Dough Zone was founded in 2014 in Bellevue, and has expanded to other locations, some of which we have visited. They do seem to have very good consistency in their dishes from location to location, regardless of their chefs. Our group of seven came to this location on a Monday to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Indoor seating is plentiful and it wasn't busy, so had a nice environment to eat and converse. Orders are taken via a dim sum paper menu, and started to come in stages pretty quickly. All the food was really good. Green Onion Pancakes ($4.15) - super thin which makes it very crispy with no gumminess at all. This version of scallion pancakes is my favorite. Pork Xiao Long Bao ($9.95 for eight) - pretty sure these are made by an extruder (not by hand). I prefer this version since they are less costly vs a place Din Tai Fung, but just as good (with the top skin layer being as thin). All were prepared consistently, steamed perfectly. It has the right balance of soup vs the pork sausage, and the provided crushed/pureed ginger is a great accompaniment. Beef Noodle Soup ($9.95) - I ate this by myself and it was decent. I liked the springiness of the fresh noodles, and the broth was good. The chunks of shank beef were sparse, but made sense. Dough Zone occasionally offers discounted gift cards at Costco, which my son-in-law takes advantage of. With this further value added to the really good food, it makes Dough Zone a place our families will continue to come to for all occasions.

Banana naan bread and green onion pancakes

Service was really quick. We went about a half an hour before closing. We got the Dan Dan noodles which they recently made it vegetarian (previously it had some meat mixed into the sauce) and it was delicious. We also got the vegetable potstickers, banana naan bread, and green onion pancakes. The potstickers were over cooked and soggy but the other two were great I personally would just not have wanted that much oil/butter on the banana naan bread but I just removed as much as possible with a tissue. The place is has a good amount of seating and located in downtown which is nice.

Comfort food that comforts the non-Chinese customers. I ordered the Mala noodles, 5-spiced beef, and brocolli with seafood sauce. The mala noodles give a hint of spice and numbing sense, though it is very light. The 5-spiced beef is ok. Overall, the food is a good adaptation from Chinese cuisine.

The last time we were here the food seemed to have taken a step back but this time around we saw noticeable differences and improvements. First off the XLBs skin wasn't overcooked and seemed not as doughy. The highlights always their Q-Bao which is a fluffy bun filled with pork and a savory broth that is steamed then pan fried for a crispy bottom. The pork potstickers are a must with the nicely crispy crust. Another must is the spicy beef pancake roll. Our server was good and tended to our needs. I like the modern interior layout and this place is huge.

We had excellent service from Antonio, and the space itself is clean and well designed. A bit loud when it's busy, but the servers all work together well to keep things moving. The food was only okay. Tasty but not great. This seems like a nice place to bring a big group of people, but I don't think we will be back.

When I arrived, the restaurant was about 1/3 full. The place was pretty quiet and didn't seem very lively, but there were others that showed up after me so that seemed pretty promising. The server sat us down but didn't mention about the QR code on the table so I sat there for about a min or two before I noticed. The whole menu and ordering was done all on your phone for the whole table. Not very much interaction. We ordered the spicy BBQ chicken skewers, the stewed beef rib noodle soup, and the normal beef flank noodle soup. The order came out relatively fast. The spicy BBQ chicken skewer was not what I expected. I was expecting a skewer like a kabob, but I received a few skewers with what seems to be thin pieces of ground chicken. The flavor was alright, but the chicken was VERY dry, which made it hard to enjoy. My stewed beef rib noodle soup wasn't bad. I got it with normal sized noodles and some beef flank on the side. The noodles were fine, but the soup could've been warmer. I was expecting a hot bowl of soup. The flavor was lacking a little, but it became much better after I added some chili oil. The rib meat wasn't bad. It had a a couple bites that were a tad tough but the flavor was kinda there. Honestly the extra flank pieces I had were better. Much better overall and it was pretty tender. I didn't really try my friend's bowl, but she got her soup with wide noodles. They were a bit wider than she expected. She made note that her noodles did seem undercooked and they had a slight doughy chew to them. She said it would've been better if it was cooked a little longer. Overall I enjoyed my soup. There are some things I would change, but I think it was a good first experience for something I've never had before.

The space is small and a little narrow, so seating can be pretty limited. My parents and I were lucky enough to grab the last table, and we ordered 4 items: the dry noodle with scallion oil and braised pork chop, the secret dumplings, large wonton, and salty soy milk (dumplings and wonton aren't pictured). I was most curious and most disappointed by the scallion noodle and pork chop. The portion size seemed too small to justify its price point, and I felt the pork chop tasted dry. The noodles however, had a great flavor, so if I were to try the place again, I'd only go for the scallion oil noodles. The dumplings were amazing. They were a little pricey but worth the cost, and worth the restaurant name. The dumplings were larger than most dumpling places I've been to, and the meat and soup inside were super flavorful. The wontons were also good, though it can't beat the pan fried dumplings. The salty soy milk was a very unique experience- it was thicker, rich and flavorful than other salty soy milk soups that I'm used to. It almost has an umami, seafood-ish taste to it. Though I'm not a big fan of soy milk, I enjoyed this dish more than expected! After our meal, we got to choose some magnets to take home, which was a creative and sweet gift. For the overall price point, I don't think I'd be coming here regularly for a meal. I may drop by for choice items like the pan fried dumplings!

From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

Happy to come across this restaurant, mostly because ever since Tian Tian Noodle lost their lease…read morein DT Redmond, I've been looking for a replacement for their dan dan noodles. No one else seems to do them the same way. Noodle Nine doesn't serve dan dan noodles BUT the dipping sauce for the scallion pancake is the same as what Tian Tian used in their noodles! I absolutely used it as a dipping sauce. The scallion pancake was great- SUPER crispy. Cucumber salad was really good but aggressively garlicky. Actually spicy from just raw garlic alone. Beef noodle soup was delicious- we added a fried egg (I would skip it next time) and extra noodles on the side.

    - one of our fav place-…read more It's kind of funny that I've never written a review for this place, even though we've been here countless times. It's always busy around mealtimes, but luckily there are plenty of seats, and we rarely have to wait. We also order takeout from here pretty often. For our most recent order, we got two personal combos (main + appetizer + drink) through a Chinese app, which frequently has discounts. I'm a big fan of their takeout containers--they keep the noodles and soup nicely separated. The takeout bag is super sturdy, and the popcorn chicken has just the right amount of spice to really hit the spot. That said, I'd still recommend dining in, because the food is easily about three times better. I also think the portion of popcorn chicken is more generous when you dine in. Plus, if you finish the soup, you'll be very full. My go-to order is the fatty beef tomato soup with rice (I know, I know--it's a noodle place, but I like it better with rice). My husband always gets the original Yunnan rice noodle. We've tried the golden soup version, but it's just not as good. The prices are reasonable... well, reasonable for Bellevue .

Been here a couple times now and every time I want to like this place more than I do. The reason I…read morecame back this time was because of recent reviews and social posting saying this is the best rice noodles in all of Seattle hoping that something has changed. I can on New Years eve for lunch and the place was open with no restrictions or any forewarning. But, I have to say that the place was severely understaffed. I think there was one waiter that was helping out the entire store. This was already off to a bad start. I go ahead and order the combo along with a few other stuff from the rest of the group. So the food starts coming out as expected which was good. Then the appetizers got stuck in prep. Which I was like ok that happens it's busy and they might be understaffed. But then I had to ask for the drinks so already it's off to a bad start. The drinks came and felt watered down. So let's talk about the food real quick. Its ok. But after the third time coming I have noticed a decrease in the quality of the paired dishes and the amount you get. Also there was a strong feeling of over teasing with a lack luster flavor profile. So to add the final straw, we were all done and had to wait 15 minutes for the last side dish to come. I tried getting it canceled or get some credit but the chaser said no and so we waited. Could have been much better in all aspect.

This has quickly become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants for spicy food. I've been here twice…read morenow and enjoyed every dish I tried. I've come for both lunch and dinner, usually shortly after they open, and never had to wait. Just looking at the crowd, you can tell this is an authentic place. As someone who travels to China frequently, this restaurant definitely meets my expectations. The Hunan-style spicy dishes really satisfy my craving for bold heat and flavor. I've tried the stone pot spicy tofu with meatballs, 梅菜扣肉 (braised pork with preserved vegetables), spicy lamb, stone pot black pepper beef, stinky tofu, and the fried oyster mushrooms. I loved all of them. These are the kind of dishes where you can easily finish a big bowl of rice--and still want more even when your belly is already full. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. Service was prompt, and one small detail really stood out to me: during my first visit, they actually replenished the napkins mid-meal. With spicy food and the inevitable runny nose, that level of thoughtfulness is appreciated!

I'm also a fan of the 沸腾鱼 here (not sure what the English name is), which was one of my favorite dishes from childhood that is really, really hard to find done right outside of the Bay Area. For such an authentic restaurant, I'm also impressed with their high-end decor, quick service, and cleanliness. You definitely wouldn't expect it to be so good walking in! Continues to be one of my regular stops.
