quality food here, never disappoints. Lovely fresh fish and fresh meats too. The rice is cooked to perfection and the service is fast. You can self-order on the kiosk and the tables are always clean and ready for you to pick a spot to sit in. It can get lively during peak meal times, so it's a great casual spot for friends and family alike :) This is my favorite consistent spot to get a filling rice bowl in the area!

This is a cute spot to grab some fish over rice dishes in the BellRed area. The servers have been super nice in all my visits and the wait has never been longer than 5-10 minutes in my experience. As a poke bowl fan, this place definitely shines with their fish, and I definitely loved their seared salmon option. On my most recent visit I tried the chirashi bowl which was a great sampler assembly. The options are a pretty good deal but at around $20 it'll be a rare treat when I'm in the area.

Food is consistent and fresh. Love the Zuke don, chirashi and seared salmon don. The mushroom miso has a generous amount of mushrooms and had a nice light umami flavor. Seared salmon don was really soft, Zuke marinate was light but just enough not to overpower the tuna. I love this place do their house made soy sauce and homemaker chili oil. A must! I like to drizzle the chili oil on the fish and in the miso soup. One of my fav spots in Bellevue. Interior is clean and service is super friendly.

Tried this spot at like 5:30 on a Sunday and it started off like empty and by the time we left people were asking for our table. It's a nice spot with a big parking lot., the inside was nice clean and organized. The service was nice and friendly, they had option to order at the counter or they had a tablet to order off of top. Overall it was quick simple and good, no complaint, id go back again if I was in the area -- I felt like the food was good for the price.

Overall: Donburi Station offers great food at very reasonable prices. A great balance of quality and price. Food: The various bowls here are all great, ordered a variety of bowls that had both katsu and seafood in them. I was very happy with all of them, especially the chirashi bowl. Service: Only ordered take-out, so placed my order on the tablet and waited a medium amount of time to get my food. You need to pay extra for utensils so make sure you have some had home ready. Ambiance: A modest indoor space with some tables and seats. Casual dining.

PLEASE PUT OYAKO DONBURI ON THE MENU! 3.75/5 stars. Small casual place with a few small tables, you order at the front and they bring the food out to you. We tried the bibim donburi, chicken katsu with curry, and chicken teriyaki bowl with a fried egg. The chicken teriyaki bowl was a bit bland, but the other two bowls were decent because they had sauce to soak into the rice. All portions came in a bowl that felt like the right amount of food to fill you up without being overly full - but for the price it seemed like not enough since when you think about it it's mostly rice with some chicken on top. Overall a solid place but I could make a lot of this at home for much cheaper :)

Service, smile and my soup is to die for. It's two minutes from my place and never walked in. For sure I'm coming back.

This is exactly the spot I've been needing. High quality Japanese food. They specialize in rice bowls but have lots of other options too. My poke bowl came with plenty of good quality tuna and salmon. The chicken karaage was crispy and juicy. My wife was a fan of her fried tofu teriyaki bowl. A neighboring table for a volcano don and I almost died of jealousy. Their dashi soy sauce is just one example of a special touch that elevated the meal. This was probably the best non-sushi Japanese food I've had since coming back from Japan. I need to come back.

I'm coming back! The food was so good. Katsu was double fried, crispy, delicious. Meat (chicken/pork) were very juicy. order at the tablet, and bus your own dishes. However the employees were very sweet and greeted us. Very cute, home-y vibe. Reminds me of Japan.

Picked up to-go on a weekday and it was quick and easy! The bowl was a good portion, I almost couldn't finish it. Lots of fish on top including 5-6 pieces of salmon which is my favorite, so I was happy to see more of that one. The eel and the ebi were also favorites! Sushi rice was seasoned well. Good food, I'll be back!

One of two Donburi Stations in the Seattle area, this Japanese restaurant in Bellevue serves up a variety of rice bowls in generous quantities. We got carryout from them on a Thursday night, and it was very tasty. I got gifted a bowl of Chirashi, which used different types of seafood, all of which I thought was of excellent quality, sushi-grade. The rice wasn't sushi, though, which they don't claim to be, though chirashi would seem to imply it. It came with plenty of ginger and wasabi paste. It's a great way to get quite a bit of quality sashimi, for well under 20 dollars.

This is a Japanese gem hidden in a strip mall with quality comfort food in a casual setting. Food is ordered at the counter and they bring it out to your table. The aburi sake don tasted like good quality fish and well seasoned sushi rice. The takoyaki and veggie croquette were hot, crispy, and well seasoned. Most of the plates were not plastic which was a plus. Seating is very limited and there was a lunch rush when we were there on a weekday so be aware. I came away very satisfied with my meal and did not taste any residual MSG which was also a plus. Definitely recommend for casual, authentic Japanese food if you are in the area!

Poke with rice and salad, no crab salad, extra seaweed salad

Great place for lunch with a variety of donburi! Ample parking in the lot, but limited seating inside. Fortunately, seats seem to turn over pretty quickly. You order at the register and pay before grabbing a seat. Service is efficient; food comes out quickly and portions are filling. I don't eat shellfish, so I requested to omit crab salad and substitute with extra seaweed salad for my poke order. You get a choice of salad or rice in the bowl, I got half salad and half rice, which looks to have added a $.50 surcharge that I wasn't informed of. Nominal but thought it was worth mentioning because the salad ended up being some iceberg lettuce and not mixed greens, which is what I had expected. Fish was really fresh. My favorite was the buttery, melt-in-your-mouth salmon. I'd consider getting the salmon poke or sake donburi next time. Takoyaki was better than it is at most other places and came out piping hot. Filling was smooth and creamy, with generous pieces of octopus. Others at our table also enjoyed the chirashi bowl and katsu donburi.

Place clean and my eyes immediately went to the menu to see if they have vegetarian options. I asked the person taking my order and she suggested the veggie melt or Mediterranean that they can take the meat out. I opted for veggie melt and they have lots of options for toppings and sauces . I got the works and added the spicy ranch. Second order was the chicken avocado wrap and did the same with the works topping. Our food did get a little soggy by the time I got home and opened it. But will say I enjoyed it and was stuffed. I will go back to try the Mediterranean.

The many locations in the Seattle metro area have opened very recently, with this location in Redmond being the easiest to get to for me. To continue the theme of a sandwich dinner, I decided to walk to the nearby Potbelly to pick up a couple of sandwiches, but mainly to satisfy my craving for a genuine hand scooped ice cream shake. I carried it back to the apartment, and provided a nice repast for us on a Sunday night. First, the vanilla and strawberry shakes ($5.59 each) were very good. It uses hand scooped vanilla ice cream, mixed with strawberry syrup and milk in a blender. The vanilla shake was better than the strawberry, mainly because the strawberry syrup didn't really add as much flavor as I would have liked...but the base was excellent, using good ice cream. Cubano ($10.99), mixing ham and pulled pork with swiss, toasting it, then adding mustard and pickles. Cubano ingredients, but no sandwich press and the bread was wrong. Since I knew it wasn't authentic, decided to also add giardiniera, which was my mistake...it tasted fine, but completely overwhelmed the sandwich. Toasted Italian ($10.99), salami, capicola, pepperoni, and mortadella with provolone cheese. One can add any toppings you want. In my case it was lettuce, tomato, mayo. It's was a good sandwich. The bread for both sandwiches seems to be Torano, which along with Gonnella, are the two Chicago-area bakers known for their french rolls used to make subs and especially Italian beef sandwiches. This is different than most other sub chains that make their bread in-house. I thought the bread was fine, especially when toasted. Also the topping called hot peppers is really Chicago style giardiniera...really authentic...reminding me of Chicago. They also have a large selection of different soups, including a good beef chili I've had in the past. The store actually did remind me of sub shops from where I grew up, and thought the prices for the location were reasonable as well.

The fact that these were also coated in oil was pretty nice. On the inside, I thought the prawns were cooked well - they remained pretty soft and didn't appear overcooked I did feel like the spice was pretty much missing, though. I ordered 4/5 stars, but it tasted more like 1/5 stars as there was a pretty significant lack of spice that took away from a lot of the flavor potential. Speaking of the missing flavor, there should've been a lot more sauce added to this dish - either poured on top of the prawns or the prawns come sitting in it. The benefit of this is that it you can mix everything with the rice - and this sauce coats the rice to make it taste good. The way it's currently presented, the prawns are too large to really eat with the rice, and mixing the two will just result in eating the meat and taking another bite of plain rice because there isn't enough sauce to coat the rice. This dish just ended up being eating the prawns by themselves - the rice wasn't super useful As a result, after finishing I really wasn't that full For the price (around 20 ish) there are a good amount of prawns, but I wouldn't really say you're getting a good deal here

The restaurant was hosting an event, so part of the space was closed off, and service was noticeably slow. It took a while for the food to arrive. The khao soi was decent--not the best I've had, but still a solid choice. The Panang curry had a mild flavor with a subtle lime note and a touch of sweetness, which was interesting but not particularly bold. Overall, the food was okay, but unless you live nearby, it might not be worth the trip. If you do go, I'd recommend ordering a higher spice level, as everything leaned on the mild side. Good ambiance overall.

This time, my friends and I looked up this place on a whim and realized, "Oh it's so close to Crossraods! Why don't we just eat here then?" Also one of my friends was craving katsu that same day so we had to come here. You can use parking out on the nearby streets or at a nearby parking lot close to the building, or perhaps nearby Crossroads Mall parking if you're multi-tasking over there. It's a very casual feel inside with an ample number of tables for eating (some with some pretty odd walls separating them) and booths for larger groups. There's a ton of dishes you can get here like bento boxes, yakisoba, bibimbap and other things given it serves both Japanese and Korean food. I got the katsu bento box, which came with a ton of sides like rice, salad, yakisoba noodles, gyoza, egg rolls and shrimp tempura. There was also a choice to order just yakisoba, but I like how it's provided as a side for our bento. Everything was fresh, good, and delicious! My favorite was the katsu itself since it came and stayed piping hot while I was eating, and meat was juicy beyond juicy with the outer crust being mildly crunchy just as it should be. Yakisoba noodles were full of taste, and the fried stuff added a nice kick to the rest of the bento. I don't have anything to say on service here since it was quick and most utensils were self-serve. For places like these that serve more than one kind of cuisine, I'll definitely come back especially with the surrounding area having a ton of great places to eat including this one!
