    Hawaiian chicken
    Mark N.

I just ordered this meal from Pokework today through Lunch Drop delivery service. As the order look, looks pretty good. The macaroni salad was pretty good. A little spicy, but tasted good. Them chicken was ok. Nothing special about them. Kinda like they boiled it through a pot with water and put them onto a grill to get the charred. The teriyaki sauce wasn't what I expected from the sauce in Hawaii teriyaki chicken I had before. So I am Not a fan on this sauce. Overall this food was ok. Nothing special about it. I would say them macaroni salad was the better part from this meal. Also there wasn't any plastic fork as I requested.

There is spicy ahi and salmon hidden somewhere under all those extras

Generous portions of sides and rice base that hide small servings of mediocre poke. Perhaps I shouldn't complain about how much cucumber, edamame, onions, nori, crab salad, and rice they give, but that's all filler. The poke should stand out, and unfortunately even the spicy tuna is bland and unflavorful. I appreciate the friendly greeting by the staff, but wondered why the interior was warm like a sauna.

Great poke place with a wide selection of different bowls, great service and all in a relatively open and spacious interior. Recommended!

Not great- order was kinda warm when it came - I ordered chili crunch shrimp and spicy tuna bowl and got neither- just plain kinda rubber fishy tasting shrimp and plain tuna. Asked for med sauce and got hardly any. Just a bummer...

So first off, let me just say that their poke is amazing and they have tons of fresh toppings for any type of poke bowl you could imagine. They have a variety of sauces to choose from and everything goes well together. I like it spicy and found a combo of their lava sauce and original poke is a great combo for me. So definitely a 4-5 when it comes to product. Here's where this shop fails... management. I've come here twice now and both times they are severely understaffed. Both times I came was during lunch hour so I expect it to be busy. Good management would account for that and staff up or temper expectations. I'll give them a pass for my first time. Second time I try ordering online so I could hopefully avoid that mess and just pick up. Well my experience was no different and actually worse! Online said the order would be ready at 12:14. I get to the shop around that time and see that there's only one person working. She's fiercely attacking the orders with tons of bags lined up. I figure one of them was mine so I sit patiently. She ends up completing the bowls after about 10 minutes. Mine is not in there. Apparently mine is in the overflowing register of receipts that she hasn't even looked at yet. So now she needs to attend to the customers waiting in line. When will she get to the backlog of online orders? Likely in about 20-30 minutes. In the meantime, I have plenty of time to write a review on Yelp. I understand things happen, but twice is generally too much with so many other options in the area. Maybe I'll come back. We'll see if I get to change my review with a better experience in the future.

    Kids chicken bowl

I haven't been back here for ages but the quality and craftsmanship has gone down for sure. We got the sushi burrito and a kids bowl. From the picture, you can see how much rice is in the kids bowl compared to everything else. The chicken was cut into small pieces but it looks like maybe 1-2 regular pieces of chicken. The burrito is not as big any more and it was messy. You can definitely see that it was wrapped loosely and it's about to fall apart. The filling wasn't distributed evenly either. One side would have some filling and the other side would have different ones... These 2 for $20+ The only thing that is decent is the flavor. It's not bad but I probably wouldn't be back here again anytime soon when there's other poke shops in the area

This is the second time I ordered a bowl from them along with Spam mushubi thru Uber. Both times they dont give me the Spam mushubi. I tried to call them but no one pick up. This is horrible. UbeEat prolly will think im faking since it happened TWICE.

Ordered a poke bowl for lunch today via Doordash. Everything was fresh and fit my custom order! I was a little disappointed in the amount of protein in my bowl though (ordered spicy salmon/spicy tuna). Not sure if I got less protein since I had so many additional toppings, but I would still return since the protein I did have was tasty!

I'd come here more often if I was in the area! Lettuce...good Seafood...good Service....good The spicy dressing was pretty spicy. They have an array of choices. I like the fact that many of the options are healthy. It's a clean place too.

Door-dashed a few poke bowls from here. You can order one of their menu combinations or build your own bowl! The regular sized bowls (2 proteins) were all around $15 with no add-ons. Great variety of toppings. I like how you can have the option to "torch" your poke for those that aren't huge fans of raw fish. They have other items like poke-rittos, misubis and pineapple upside down cake too, I want to try all those some day!

TL;DR: they were out of several items midday on a Sunday. Parking: street side or garage. Atmosphere: feels like a Chipotle but for poke. Menu: posted on the back wall, pretty straightforward. Service: go and start your order on the left and work your way down to the register, pay, seat yourself, bus your own table. #4 Yuzu Ponzu Salmon: salmon was good but pieces were on the small side and there wasn't very much of it. Nothing really wowed me about the bowl to be honest. They were out of green onions. Miso Soup: not too flavorful, missing the green onions and tofu was sparse. They have a miso soup dispenser that dispenses the broth and all they do is add seasoned and tofu into it. But they were out of seaweed and green onions. Coco Mango Haupia: it was out when I was there. Apparently it's only made once a week or so by an outside vendor and when it's gone, it's gone. It's not made in house so it's not guaranteed that you get a fresh one made that day. Drink fountain is closed but their flavored teas are open. I recommend 3/4 lemonade with 1/4 hibiscus tea.

Poke Bowl, Salad Base, Tuna, cucumber, edamame, Serrano, cilantro, kale, avocado, and a mix of ponzu/Hawaiian sauces.

Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. Parking is scarce, so plan ahead and be patient. We came on a Wednesday and happened to score a parking spot right in front of the bakery. Once you arrive, get in line immediately--there will be one. The woman taking our order was incredibly peppy and friendly, even while juggling everything: taking in-person orders, answering phones, serving customers, and bagging food. Seriously impressive. All the seats were filled, so we ordered everything to-go. We got the famous crispy ginger chicken, spam musubi, and chicken long rice. I was hoping for oxtail soup and asked about it--she explained they only offer it on certain days and recommended calling early in the morning to check, then getting there quickly because it sells out fast. Can't wait to come back and try it. Back at the hotel, we feasted. The crispy ginger chicken is famous for a reason--so flavorful, perfectly crispy, and somehow even better the next day. The chicken long rice was packed with noodles directly in the soup (not separately) so the broth had mostly soaked into the noodles, but it was still deeply flavorful and comforting. The spam musubi leans on the sweeter side, which is great if that's your thing. Overall, this place is all about heart, hustle, and seriously satisfying Hawaiian comfort food. Come early, expect a line, plan for parking--and you'll be rewarded.

I got the combo - Hawaiian chicken + karaage requesting extra salad instead of rice, as well as a half order of loco moco. It's nice that there is half order as a lot of Hawaiian restaurants tend to be full orders so it is incredibly hard to try a variety of options if you're solo or in a small group. The Hawaiian chicken and karaage both are juicy and delicious. It's great that the combo is the same price as the standard individual options so I got to try more variety without paying extra. I looked at the reviews and opted to remove the rice and get extra salad which was a good move - their chop chop salad is very delicious with a nice balance of dressing, cheese, and ham. I still had some rice from the loco moco, which was sufficient for me. The loco moco is good - I wished the patty was a bit less tough but the gravy and egg make up for it. Overall, great value and great food. I'd be a regular if I didn't live so far from Kirkland (1 hr drive for food can be challenging in busy schedules)

It seems to be higher quality short grain rice, giving great mouthfeel at first, but then biting into it, the overcooked mushy qualities emerge. The rice is sprinkled with a bit of furikake, adding a briny and savory flavor profile. Two beef patties are set on top, both with seemingly fake grill marks, perhaps indicative of commercial patties. They are homogeneous with a kind of spongy texture, pressed into a puck with a bunch of filler like Japanese hambagu. The beef is somewhat tender, but isn't soft enough to be cut through with a plastic fork. There's a fried egg on top, complete with runny yolk and even a small amount of runny white. They then ladle a couple of scoops of Japanese curry over the top. It's somewhat generic, probably a normal boxed curry mix with no embellishment, but it's cooked well. It has a nice thickness, isn't too thin or runny, lending a good curry flavor to the dish. I do with it came with a bit more curry since after eating about half the dish, it was all gone. Mostly, university students, I think. I like dim light atmosphere, unfortunately, I can't enjoy it much here. Too loud? Too dark? Or it's just not the right light bulbs, it got me dizzy. It was at night, it made the room even gloomy. Upon returning to the parking lot, the atmosphere is somewhat unsettling. This is particularly true for a woman walking alone. To access the parking lot, I had to walk through the darkness to the back of the building. Unfortunately, due to the narrow parking lot, one car was parked in a manner that blocked the exit way, requiring me to reverse all the way out. Overall fantastic staff, fantastic food, but I may not comeback because the vibe just doesn't suit me. This restaurant will most likely be very busy in the better location and fresh look.

Me and my wife each got a box, and everything we tried was fresh and really good. They also have a wide variety of options, so there's plenty to choose from no matter what you're craving. In the same area, you can also build your own poke bowl, which is a nice option if you want something a little different. The place is clean and has plenty of seating, both indoors and outside, making it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy your food. The customer service was friendly and welcoming. Quick, simple, lots of choices perfect for a grab-and-go sushi stop

I imagine this place gets packed during peak hours though! They had a poke area but we went straight for the sushi. Basically, you take a box and tongs and fill your box with any sushi variety you want - signature rolls, aburi sushi, nigiri, sashimi, inari, etc. The selection was incredible and I LOVED the ability to mix and match. At the end, you just pay based on weight and pricing was very reasonable. The aburi sushi was my favorite (because I'm generally obsessed with it) but I was impressed with every single item. The interior had plenty of seating as well, with a chill, laid-back ambiance. FOB couldn't be more perfect for a quick, delicious meal!

The space is small but it doesn't bother us at all. The milk shake is good. Fries are amazing. And their sauces are all so good. You really can't go wrong with any of the katsu burger, but we do prefer the chicken katsu patty vs the others. That's just our preference. My friend likes the beef. You can't go wrong either way! When choosing the sauce for your fries, I highly recommend the garlic sauce. It is so good. The staff is also always very kind and friendly. We just love it. PLUS I noticed that they had this sign that said they do not use peanuts. So that's a big win for us as we have a kiddo with peanut allergy.

What a lovely twist on the good ol burger!…read more I got the honey miso tofu, Kanna Akuma and curry fries. What a riot of flavors. Loved the crispness of the tofu, crunchy veggies and the sweet and salty flavors oozing from the sauce. The Kanna Akuma is for folks who like it spicy-- there's a lot of jalapeños so beware! The fries were crispy with a nice earthy-with-a-kick Indian masala flavor! Not much of a dine-in experience just so you know. Its more of a pick up joint. I placed my order online and it was ready at the estimated time. My bill came up to $34 total, but these are specialty burgers so it makes sense. I would totally recommend this to a friend. And looking forward to trying other items on their menu.
