- torch your protein! - We usually order takeout from fob poke, but we wanted to try this place today. They don't have that many different toppings or varieties as fob poke, like they don't have the spicy crab salad or tamagoyaki (egg). The dressing seems less as well, but they do have some different toppings such as the tangerines which my hubby doesn't care much. I think it's nice but doesn't blend well with the rest of the poke bowl. You can ask them to torch the protein too, which was actually fun to watch. I also like seared fish more as well. The downside is that the white was soggy, but mine was better since it's brown rice. The employee was actually super nice and asked us for customization and she also told us that avocado is free right now in the summer. It's a nice place if you are into poke, poke burrito or musubi. I just ordered this meal from Pokework today through Lunch Drop delivery service. As the order look, looks pretty good. The macaroni salad was pretty good. A little spicy, but tasted good. Them chicken was ok. Nothing special about them. Kinda like they boiled it through a pot with water and put them onto a grill to get the charred. The teriyaki sauce wasn't what I expected from the sauce in Hawaii teriyaki chicken I had before. So I am Not a fan on this sauce. Overall this food was ok. Nothing special about it. So first off, let me just say that their poke is amazing and they have tons of fresh toppings for any type of poke bowl you could imagine. They have a variety of sauces to choose from and everything goes well together. I like it spicy and found a combo of their lava sauce and original poke is a great combo for me. So definitely a 4-5 when it comes to product. Here's where this shop fails... management. I've come here twice now and both times they are severely understaffed. Both times I came was during lunch hour so I expect it to be busy. Good management would account for that and staff up or temper expectations. I'll give them a pass for my first time. Second time I try ordering online so I could hopefully avoid that mess and just pick up. Well my experience was no different and actually worse! Online said the order would be ready at 12:14. I get to the shop around that time and see that there's only one person working. She's fiercely attacking the orders with tons of bags lined up. I figure one of them was mine so I sit patiently. She ends up completing the bowls after about 10 minutes. Mine is not in there. Apparently mine is in the overflowing register of receipts that she hasn't even looked at yet. So now she needs to attend to the customers waiting in line. When will she get to the backlog of online orders? Likely in about 20-30 minutes. In the meantime, I have plenty of time to write a review on Yelp. I understand things happen, but twice is generally too much with so many other options in the area. Maybe I'll come back. I haven't been back here for ages but the quality and craftsmanship has gone down for sure. We got the sushi burrito and a kids bowl. From the picture, you can see how much rice is in the kids bowl compared to everything else. The chicken was cut into small pieces but it looks like maybe 1-2 regular pieces of chicken. The burrito is not as big any more and it was messy. You can definitely see that it was wrapped loosely and it's about to fall apart. The filling wasn't distributed evenly either. One side would have some filling and the other side would have different ones... These 2 for $20+ The only thing that is decent is the flavor. It's not bad but I probably wouldn't be back here again anytime soon when there's other poke shops in the area read more

I get poké fairly often and have been coming to this location for years. There are so many options that are offered here and this is one of the only local spots I know of that can make the sushi burritos too. The other day when I visited, Jinxx helped me and gave the best service. I was offered one of the new passionfruit green tea drinks to try and it was fantastic. TL;DR: they were out of several items midday on a Sunday. Parking: street side or garage. Atmosphere: feels like a Chipotle but for poke. Menu: posted on the back wall, pretty straightforward. Service: go and start your order on the left and work your way down to the register, pay, seat yourself, bus your own table. #4 Yuzu Ponzu Salmon: salmon was good but pieces were on the small side and there wasn't very much of it. Nothing really wowed me about the bowl to be honest. They were out of green onions. Miso Soup: not too flavorful, missing the green onions and tofu was sparse. They have a miso soup dispenser that dispenses the broth and all they do is add seasoned and tofu into it. But they were out of seaweed and green onions. Coco Mango Haupia: it was out when I was there. Apparently it's only made once a week or so by an outside vendor and when it's gone, it's gone. It's not made in house so it's not guaranteed that you get a fresh one made that day. Drink fountain is closed but their flavored teas are open. I recommend 3/4 lemonade with 1/4 hibiscus tea. read more

I haven't had a Pokeworks before so I stopped in to give it a try for lunch. I was in the mood for something light and poke sounded like the perfect match. I went for a salad base, along with tuna and a variety of toppings. The sauces were all sounding great and I went with ponzu and a little of the Hawaiian for a unique mix. Had an after-lunch meeting downtown and was a tiny bit late. It was an amazing, sunny day and I wanted to eat lunch beforehand at Downtown Bellevue Park - and Pokeworks was right near it. I stopped by at about 11:30AM. I don't know if there's still lunch rushes downtown (haven't been working there during COVID), but it was totally dead - which was perfect for me! Their menu and system is VERY DETAILED. Holy heck. There are like 5 or 6 parts - the base (rice, salad), protein (tuna, chicken, salmon etc...), mix ins (veggies), a sauce, toppings (like avocado, seaweed salad, etc...), and FINALLY... crunch (crispy onions, nori, etc...). Whew... After the mix-ins ans sauce, they toss the toppings together in a metal bowl before putting it on the rice - to mix it all up - which is nice! All-in, it was like $14 (which is... on the higher end for downtown lunch) and it only took a few mins to get in and out since I was all by myself. One note - they did have a bunch of to-go orders ready for online orders, so thats an option! I ate at Downtown Bellevue Park, and on a warm, summery-feeling day, and this was a perfect, light lunch. Overall: With the addition of my Dining Advantage coupon, this has become my go to place for Poke! Location/Parking: It's located very close to Bellevue Square and shares the same parking lot as Safeway. Service/Menu: I love the concept of being able to customize your Poke bowl to your taste/style! I have been here a handful of times and walked away with two bowls just for myself. Every time I have asked for their topping recommendations and there has not been a bad combination. They've been very accommodating as there are a lot of different possibilities. I figured I should try a poke burrito at least once before judging, so I tried out the poke burrito from this place. The ingredients were fine and I appreciated the variety of toppings available at Pokeworks, but to be honest, I don't think the poke burrito is for me. There is too much rice since the entire outer centimeter of the burrito is covered in rice. It's not sushi rice either, so it's mostly flavorless and dense. As such, the burrito is quite filling and I could not finish it in one meal. I haven't tried their normal poke bowl yet, so I think that could still be worth a try if I come back someday. The order process was quite smooth. I ordered ahead online and picked up in store, although I had to wait about 5 minutes once I arrived because there seemed to be some confusion over where my order was. On the plus side, they offer great topping varieties that most poke spots don't offer, like the ogo seaweed and mango pieces. I love the sauce options and they let me mix sauces. It's a nice and clean poke spot. Hopefully the next time I go, I'll have a better experience with the poke quality. read more

I ordered from here on DoorDash, so my meal was takeout (as seen in photos). I have always wanted to try a poke burrito so this caught my eye. I love poke and eat it once a week in the seattle area. The delivery with door dash was prompt and easy. I got a custom poke burrito and cup of miso soup. The poke itself and seasoning were very good but I have to say I wasn't the biggest fan of the burrito style of serving it. I think of sushi as being fresh and light and there was so much grease on the wrapper and seaweed wrap that it really put me off. I felt like I would have liked more meat and sauce and the greasy wrap just overpowered it. I vote the food is good but get a poke bowl instead of the wrap! read more

I am back and updating my review. Pokeworks, I have returned to try you again after my previous visit. I was immediately greeted. I spoke with a gentleman regarding a free entree for me and a friend due to my dissatisfaction on my last visit. He was a little hesitant at first, but immediately went to work to fix us a bowl of poke. I believe he was the shift lead. I have to say, his service was superb as I asked for a little bit of this, extra of that, and sauce/toppings on side. He helped with no questions asked/no complaints. I am very satisfy with my bowl of "build your own" spicy salmon poke bowl with half rice, half lettuce, all toppings (minus the things that cost extra) and sauce on the side - my usual "go-to" bowl. It was made just the way I like it - no skimming on ingredients. It tasted pretty amazing too. I am much more happy with this trip than my last. Thank you for inviting me back to try you again, Pokeworks. I hope the previous time was just a fluke. I will continue to stop by to grab a bowl when I am in town as long as the service and quality is there. read more
