I love Just Poke, and got to try the Kirkland location recently. I got the regular build your own bowl, with a mix of white ice and organic greens, Spicy Ahi, Shoyu Salmon, with a range of toppings. I loved my poke bowl.

    Food safety rating

Visited "Just Poke" in Kirkland for a quick lunch with a coworker. The poke bowls were just okay. The fish freshness felt average and nothing particularly stood out. The restaurant space seemed a bit cluttered, which took away from the overall vibe. Music was also a little too loud for casual conversation. Decent for a quick bite, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to revisit. JY review

Delicious and fresh fish. I took off 1 Star because staff occasionally forgets items that are part of the dish. Missing attention to detail matters as we have dietary restrictions. Overall this place offers friendliness and cleanliness so I like that. Indoor and outdoor seating is possible -- a huge plus!

One of my favourite poke spots! It's fresh and delicious. I'd recommend for a sauce combo their spicy mayo with their citrus ponzu, it's my favourite and I can't ever get tired of it! The fish is fresh and tasty, and the prices are worth for their portions. The service is quick and is like a chipotle, so you can get your food as you order. Environment is friendly and greenery, I like their decor! The parking is parallel and not too far of a walk!

I love poke and it's one of my all-time favorite foods so any reviews I make about poke will always be good. Just Poke is actually a good poke bar. They have an large variety of poke toppings and over all good quality ingredients. The atmosphere is also very structure. The vibe of the shop makes it feel like they want you in and out. You go through the line to get you toppings and then get out. I ordered a Build you own custom bowl. Which I recommend just because you can put everything you like into your bowl. But I will tell you that at every location I've been at they do not add a lot of items so I recommend asking them for a good scoop of "whatever you want" because they will be cheap and stingy and add a little scoop. Overall great poke place and would recommend to anyone in the area of one to check it out!

The bowls are beautiful and well-assembled, just a tad bit small for the price. I love the variety of toppings (crab salad, spicy crab salad, seaweed salad, masago and pineapple are my favorites) and sauces (truffle aoili! omg!) $13.99 for a regular bowl with two proteins. I chose creamy scallops and Hawaiian Ahi. Ordered online for pickup!

I took a friend from the SF Bay Area here today for lunch, and she loved it. We both agree the food is very fresh and the portion is generous. We sat at one of their outside tables and enjoyed a surprisingly peaceful noon hour. Highly recommend this place! For more, see my original review which is still valid.

    Soggy rice

Maybe it was bad luck but the rice was soggy (see pic)...very disappointing. My friends bowl had better rice but still soggy. They charge extra ($1 each) for premium toppings like tamago and for extra spoonfuls (even for just corn). I could understand charge for premium toppings but for corn? Anyway, everything else was good, scallop was pretty unique and ingredients in general were pretty fresh.

I ordered on their app, delicious large spicy crab bowl, it was great! I highly recommend their food and customer service is excellent too.

It's "A-OK", AKA 3 stars. It's decent and relatively close to my house, and it's nice to have a poké place close. As others have mentioned, rice portions are huge. Protein (and other toppings) are not. But I found the proteins and toppings tasty (for the most part), in contrast to what some other reviewers felt. Maybe it's a consistency problem. The one item that I didn't find good was the seaweed salad. It was not well made at all, and its taste was not appealing. They do have a good sized menu of pre-designed bowls, in addition to the build your own bowl line. So, if you can't make up your mind when faced with so many choices, pick something from there. One of the things that bugged me most was the farmed Atlantic salmon. For a place that has tent signs on their tables bragging about how local they are and how they pay more for locally sourced ingredients, serving farmed Atlantic salmon is a big slap in the face to its customers. The space is big enough (a few tables). The location is prime, but we didn't see much traffic in the store when we were there. Maybe Totem Lake would have been a better location for this restaurant. Hope they make it.

Anyone from Hawai'i try this place yet? I want to know the comparison to see if I should give this place a try.

Not from Hawaii but been to Hawaii many times and I would say the poke is pretty comparable. You do get to customize to your liking which is great.

I got the combo - Hawaiian chicken + karaage requesting extra salad instead of rice, as well as a half order of loco moco. It's nice that there is half order as a lot of Hawaiian restaurants tend to be full orders so it is incredibly hard to try a variety of options if you're solo or in a small group. The Hawaiian chicken and karaage both are juicy and delicious. It's great that the combo is the same price as the standard individual options so I got to try more variety without paying extra. I looked at the reviews and opted to remove the rice and get extra salad which was a good move - their chop chop salad is very delicious with a nice balance of dressing, cheese, and ham. I still had some rice from the loco moco, which was sufficient for me. The loco moco is good - I wished the patty was a bit less tough but the gravy and egg make up for it. Overall, great value and great food. I'd be a regular if I didn't live so far from Kirkland (1 hr drive for food can be challenging in busy schedules)

This is a hefty mixed plate, enough for two or to have as leftovers for me. The beef is my favorite, seasoned and sauced well. Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. The woman taking our order was incredibly peppy and friendly, even while juggling everything: taking in-person orders, answering phones, serving customers, and bagging food. Seriously impressive. All the seats were filled, so we ordered everything to-go. We got the famous crispy ginger chicken, spam musubi, and chicken long rice. I was hoping for oxtail soup and asked about it--she explained they only offer it on certain days and recommended calling early in the morning to check, then getting there quickly because it sells out fast. Can't wait to come back and try it. Back at the hotel, we feasted. The crispy ginger chicken is famous for a reason--so flavorful, perfectly crispy, and somehow even better the next day. The chicken long rice was packed with noodles directly in the soup (not separately) so the broth had mostly soaked into the noodles, but it was still deeply flavorful and comforting. The spam musubi leans on the sweeter side, which is great if that's your thing. Overall, this place is all about heart, hustle, and seriously satisfying Hawaiian comfort food. Come early, expect a line, plan for parking--and you'll be rewarded.

Mostly, university students, I think. I like dim light atmosphere, unfortunately, I can't enjoy it much here. Too loud? Too dark? Or it's just not the right light bulbs, it got me dizzy. It was at night, it made the room even gloomy. Upon returning to the parking lot, the atmosphere is somewhat unsettling. This is particularly true for a woman walking alone. To access the parking lot, I had to walk through the darkness to the back of the building. Unfortunately, due to the narrow parking lot, one car was parked in a manner that blocked the exit way, requiring me to reverse all the way out. Overall fantastic staff, fantastic food, but I may not comeback because the vibe just doesn't suit me. This restaurant will most likely be very busy in the better location and fresh look.

I had a few samples of their fish, and let me tell you, the fish is FRESH. I am usually picky with tuna because they tend to have a fishy taste, but Ono's tuna was NOT fishy at all. Also, all the different flavors of poké were seasoned PERFECTLY. I got the spicy salmon and the scallop poke. They were both buttery and tender. The flavors did not overtake the natural flavor of the fish, and the sauce was seeped deep into the salmon; the same goes for the scallop. Sometimes at poké restaurants the sauce will sit on top of the fish, but NOT HERE. This place is genuinely SO SO good. I highly recommend coming to this place and trying their poké! + This place is so good that I am willing to make the trip out to this place if I am ever back in this state.

The slaw is always balanced and there is a unique ingredient which I can't pinpoint which makes it savory and unlike other slaw I've had which is super creamy and mayonaisy.
