The service was also impressively quick, we had our drinks and food out in no time, which was perfect after a long shopping day. We started with Moscow mules, and they were perfectly balanced and refreshing. The chips and salsa while we waited were a great touch and super satisfying! For food, we ordered the carne asada, smoked brisket tacos, and the southwest chopped salad and YUM. Everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, the portions were generous, and we genuinely enjoyed every bite. Safe to say... we left our plates completely clean! I was visiting Seattle for the week and was craving some vegetarian tacos, so I found this place on Yelp. The first thing to know is that it can be a little tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area. It's located on the second floor of the mall, and the easiest way to access it is through the parking garage. I really loved the decor. It was clean, modern, and had a great atmosphere. I was greeted by a very friendly hostess who explained that to-go orders are normally placed online, but she happily got the manager to help me. He was incredibly helpful and made the ordering process easy. The food was really good! I ordered the jackfruit tacos with rice and beans, along with the guacamole sampler. I didn't realize beforehand that it was more Tex-Mex style, so that was a little different than I expected. The guacamole itself was good, but I'm personally not a fan of cheese and some of the additional toppings mixed into guacamole, so it just wasn't my preference. That doesn't mean it wasn't good. It just wasn't for me. The jackfruit tacos, however, were fantastic. I absolutely love jackfruit, and these were some of the best I've had other than the ones I make. They could have used a little more spice, but they were still delicious. And the chips? Completely addicting! I had a burrito which came in square shape with black beans and their version of Spanish rice with pepitas. Right next to the sky bridge from Lincoln Square on the 2nd floor, next to the parking structure on the northeast, and not actually within the mall itself. Pretty big restaurant, bright inside in part thanks to the windows. Went for lunch on a weekday and they were doing decent business, but not full. Scan QR code to see mobile menu, and they don't provide paper menu by default. Got a selection of drinks, typical Mexican restaurant items like tacos, enchiladas, fajitas etc. and also some entrees and seasonal items. I ended up getting the pollo relleno. It's fried chicken breast wrapped around a pepper, served on a plate of grits. Chicken has a little bit of a crisp on the outside, but it's not like crunchy fried chicken type crust. Meat was not dry. Pepper inside is slightly sweet and soft. Grits had a good flavor. Portion is pretty good, and was definitely full after eating all the chips with salsa and guacamole that they serve for the table. Also tried the frozen margarita and hibiscus tea for the drinks, and they were solid. Getting the food out wasn't the fastest, but not slow enough to complain about. Nice looking restaurant, mid to late afternoon before typical dinner time, this place was busy. We waited like maybe 15 mins for a table for 2. I haven't been to a Cactus in years so I was interested in having their food again. QR code menus....bleh Not old school where you get free chips & salsa, but we did start with chips & traditional guac as a starter, it does come with a salsa. Pretty good, seemed to be freshly made. As for our entrees: Brisket Chimichanga: basically a fried steak burrito. This was my main entree, i was just feeling a chimichanga so I went with it. Brisket was flavorful, wasn't greasy, tasty chili sauce on top, just enough sog, comes with rice & beans, sour cream and guac on the side. Smoked Chicken Flautas: pretty darn good, you can taste the smokiness. Salad on top, all on top on some Spanish rice. Kinda similar to the Chimichanga. We were pretty hungry so we woofed it down pretty fast. Any corporate run Mexican restaurants are not going to be good the food will always be mediocre in taste IMO. I've gone to every MX restaurant around (not one of them taste like the food I grew up eating) even went to the Cactus in Bellevue the cooks at all MX restaurants here in Seattle and Bellevue don't have pride in their cooking and it shows they just put out whatever however and call it Mexican food but it isn't. I just started making my own Mexican food the way my mom, grandmother, aunts and cousins make real authentic Mexican food. Tasty and savory not bland or overly spicy. read more

This is one of the favorite restaurants of my grandchildren, they alternate between Cactus and Din Tai Fung. Ask my 4 yr-old grandson what he likes here, he would say " the chips"!! Cactus is one of our Go-To faves in Bellevue, but we've also been to the SLU location many times before moving closer to Bellevue. We are obsessed with the Austin style Gauc, and I've only ever gotten the Sonoran spa chicken, it's insanely good! My fiancé usually gets the brisket burrito, or whatever special is going on. Tonight, as well as a previous experience, we were Lucky enough to be served by Branson. He was so incredibly polite, and kind, so much so as to leave us surprised. From drinks, to the hottest hot sauce he even ranked for us, offering dessert and joking with us in between being slammed during a busy Saturday, we couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks Branson, for making us love our fave even more, and I'm sure many more would agree! read more

Garbage customer service. Came as a party of 8 and they put to even tables together meant for a 6 people with the heights uneven by 1 inch so two people in the middle have an uneven eating surface. Asked Antonio the manager to find two tables that are even and he got mad saying that there are NO tables in the entire restaurant that line up. Antonio was completely rude with zero sense of customer service. His main objective is to have customers sit, eat and leave. Been coming to Cactus for years and this the last time. They just lost a loyal customer because of the rudeness exhibited by a manger. He needs to be talked to about his behavior otherwise they will continue to loose customers. read more
