I came here a few days ago for Cinco de Mayo, so obviously it was packed and busy. Throughout the dinner, we experienced various degrees of service. We got seated outside pretty quickly. There were some heaters outside hanging on the ceiling which was nice. We did have to ask for our complimentary chips and salsa. We also had to ask for utensils after our food had been served. That request was not met with any regret, as if it was odd that we were asking for utensils to eat. The food was decent. It did not have the most taste. The dish descriptions on the menu were not exactly accurate, either. Staff did explain to us that this related to them having a special menu for Cinco de Mayo. read more

Met up with some friends for lunch this week. It was my recommendation to go back to Cielo Cocina, as I've always had very good meals there. My wife had never been, so this was her first time. It did not disappoint us. We got a table immediately out on the patio, as it was one of the rare 70° days here in April. The place was pretty busy, lots of people, one table left on the patio. Lots of people out, enjoying the sunshine and the really good food, and quality margaritas. A lively vibe. I went with the usual, the Carne Asada tacos, which came with pinto beans and rice. I cleaned my plate. It was awesome. Everything was very fresh, flavorful, and a very nice volume of food. The house margarita was very good as well. I ended up having two of them. This time, I finally figured out the free parking, it took a little bit of work, but I was able to get the free parking and not pay the $10 or $12 I had in the past. Looks are deceiving because each dish comes with a lot of food! The portions are huge and the margaritas are delicious. The service was great and very accommodating for a group of eight people. It was a bit expensive but fun to go out with friends and family. The parking can be tricky and you can ask the staff for free parking validation. Quite possibly the best restaurant IMO that has a plethora of vegetarian Mexican options! Had a really amazing dinner here-- possibly the best Mexican I have had in the city. Started with Horchatas and the street corn. Both were excellent. The tang of the street corn went nicely with the sweetness of the drink. Very fresh tortilla chips and salsa on the house. Guacamole was also fresh and delicious. For entrees we got fajitas, Enchiladas Jardin (my order and also highly recommended by our waiter Pablo), Burrito bowl, and Quesadilla Tapatia. Amazing food. The Enchiladas Jardin had a spicy habanero sauce topping which was just so flavorful. It was the star of the meal-- I think pretty much everyone else wished they had ordered this. Portions were just perfect as well. Fajitas came with a huge mix of vegetables like cauliflower, peppers, onions. Carrots, and mushrooms! Wrapped up the dinner with a supremely yummy Tres leches cake for dessert-- we demolished it in seconds. Excellent service by Pablo; great ambience. Located by the elements apartments on the edge of downtown Bellevue by the freeway. Parking is free but you have to scan the code with your phone with diamond parking. The vibe is cool and they have a ton of TVs with games on. Server was friendly. I like the drink and food options on their menu, and the quality is great. I had an old fashioned and tortilla chicken soup. The chicken soup was hearty and filling. If you remove the cheese it's actually a really healthy option for those who weight management goals. Overall it's a nice chill spot for high quality Mexican food. Would stop by more often after work as I work nearby in downtown Bellevue. read more

I have been here twice now and both experiences were good. It ended up being a recommendation from someone I know so I went into it assuming the food would be good. While the parking situation may not be the most obvious it was very easy once you figured it out. All you need to do is park below in the garage and register your license plate for a few free hours. They sit you down with a free bowl of chips and salsa which won me over both times. I love when restaurants do this. I ordered the carne asada both times and the steak came out great both times. While the rice and beans could definitely have been better with more flavor and salt, they were at least average at most. The menu is large with a lot of eye catching options. I am still very curious about the tacos and would go back to try them. They also had a lot of drinks options and some flights I would be interested to try. I think if in the area this is a worth while meal place to consider and even a casual date night place. read more

We had different dishes to try, the fajitas are nice, the fish tacos good (could use some punchier sauce to pull it together), but the carnitas tacos and salad were a bit boring. They got a nice drink menu with some great alc free options. The billing system overcharged us over $18, so I'm glad someone in our group caught that, that should not happen. Cielo has a laid-back but elevated vibe with delicious food! I got the enchiladas Guadalajara, which I would recommend and wasn't spicy at all. The Horchata was also delicious and I had two glasses of that. I had been craving Mexican food and Cielo was close to where we were in Bellevue for the day, so we decided to give them a try based off of their Yelp reviews. The parking situation is a little tricky on the weekends, but there was a lot open that we were able to find and there is very limited street parking, if you're lucky! The restaurant is gorgeous and the employees are super nice. Service was great the entire time, so five stars for that! Unfortunately the food just didn't hit the spot. We were super excited for the quesabirria tacos and they definitely weren't bad, but just okay. The meal in general was super Americanized when we were definitely hoping for something more traditional/authentic. That said, it wasn't bad! Just not what was expected. The consomé also wasn't very flavorful in comparison to what I've had at other spots. The margaritas were also much different than any other restaurant I've tried. Suuuper sweet, and that was with it being a Cadillac. The guacamole, however, was fantastic! So light and refreshing and tasted super fresh. Definitely the way to go in terms of appetizers. The inside entrance felt awkward to navigate, but the outdoor seating was a real highlight (we didn't sit but it was hard to miss) as it was very polished and definitely set up well for corporate events. Excellent SALSA! Omg! Wish I knew the secret recipe. It is so beyond delicious and the perfect amount of heat and spice... They're guacamole is also to die for! I love the food here and it is more on the traditional side of Mexican, not Tex mex! I think it is family owned, and the servers and the bartenders take their job very seriously and the service is outstanding. The only reason I give this place a four star is they only have one average tasting Chardonnay on the menu... That's a little odd to not have a choice, and second- it is super super loud inside the restaurant. You can't even hear their fabulous Mexican music on their stereo system... it's like people have to yell to tell in here :( I wish they could do something about the ambience and create better acoustics, because this could be a true destination, Goldmine, if they could fix that. First time here last night. Ordered the tuna and a piccadillo burrito. Salsa was very good and guacamole was great! The burger has no business in a Mexican restaurant, but my boy ordered it. It would be embarrassed next to a McDs burger, or even a BK burger! Generous in the fries, but no garnish or tom sauce in the burger. Just a cooked beef patty inside a toasted bread bun. Even my 8yo knows that's not how it's done! We came here for my birthday lunch, our server was soo nice. Overall service is good very attentive, now food wise eh it was mid. I had ordered an expresso martini I didn't like it too bitter for me. But server was nice and changed it for skinny margarita that was sooo good. I ordered chilaquiles the only thing I like was the beans and rice. The eggs were too rubbery, they just placed chips and put the red sauce on top the same sauce they give as appetizers. My kids order chicken nuggets and fries great portion. Always enjoy a nice surprise that's been sitting in your backyard of places to eat! The food here is good with nice portions and a moderate cost with most dishes averaging from $17-$23 with the more expensive orders running $25-$30. I had the combo plate that was a ground beef chimichanga and a ground beef burrito. We also had two orders of the birria beef brisket street tacos (you can order two or three) and a small side of pinto beans. Each order comes with Mexican rice a side of guacamole and some romaine and onions in a pickled tomatillo sauce. Like other Mexican eateries you start off with a complimentary chips and salsa. In fine print if you want more chips it'll cost a little extra. Our server was wonderful and kept checking on us. The actual dining area is rather small but luckily everyone in our group was over 21 so they do have ample bar seating. There's lots of TV monitors surrounding the entire restaurant and they do have happy hour and football game time specials. Definitely will put this place on my list. read more
