The four of us went out and enjoyed an incredible meal. The food here is delicious, Pablo was our waiter and took excellent care of us!! My husband found this place a couple of months ago and has been here at least five times, he brought our friends and me here tonight. Absolutely wonderful place. We will continue to bring our friends here and share this outstanding place with all of them. Thank you Pablo for a great first time experience for me And our friends!! Cielo Cocina Mexicana was a mix of hits and misses, but the standout dishes were good enough that I'll definitely be back! The Highlights: * Calamar & Jalapeño: The absolute star of the night. This is easily one of the best fried calamari dishes in town and worth every penny. I wished the jalapeños had a bit more heat, but the flavor and texture were incredible. * Baja Chimi: The sauce on this was phenomenal--so good that next time I visit, I'm going to see if I can get this sauce on nachos instead of standard cheese! Mixed feeling: * Quesabirria Taco Plate: The consommé was rich, deeply flavorful, and great for dipping. However, the birria meat inside the tacos was on tougher side and chewy rather than tender, which held the dish back. The Misses: * Fish Ceviche: The biggest lowlight--the fish was surprisingly tough and missed the mark on texture. * Nachos with Carne Asada: Pretty underwhelming. Adding carne asada was a steep $10+ upcharge, yet the portion of meat was tiny and the overall flavor was bland. read more

Attencion mi gente - I found Mexican rice that tastes like Abuela used to make! Recently my son and I ordered taco plates...mine - Pescado, his - steak. I haven't tasted steak cooked like that in a LONG time. WOW! So delicious, I was stealing the scraps of beef that fell onto his plate. Don't get me wrong - the fish was amazing too. My Educator budget is accustomed to Taco Chukis - where we're spending roughly $25 for dinner. Our tab at Cielo was over 100 (including tip) so prep yourself folks. Bellevue has that combination sales tax too, and that's a hefty add on. It's worth it though...we'll definitely be back for more tacos! PS: sorry no pics - we were too eager to eat! read more

Nice restaurant for Mexican food and to watch sports at too. Service was great, felt taken care of. Good food with friends. Tried the Taquitos Dorados, very moist and flavorful. Would come back and try more foods off their menu. read more

Easy spot to get to close to my hotel. I went the other night with some co-workers while in town for a conference. The staff was fun and friendly, very attentive. The margaritas were delicious. Generous size for the price point as well. Their salsa was spicier than I expected. I had the quesabirria tacos and while the meat was a little drier than I'd expect from a birria taco, the consommé was wonderful. Their beans were tender and tasted homemade and so did the rice. Great location, perfect for a happy hour or casual dinner. read more

I've been wanting to try Cielo for years! First time and wow, they get busy. Perhaps it was due to FIFA and a hot summer day? Thankfully, we were quickly seated as a group of four. The menus and water took a while to get to us, but we were given a basket of chips and salsa pretty quickly. After receiving our menus, we eventually had a server who seemed to give us pretty prompt attention. Party got the steak fajitas ($29), chicken enchiladas, vegan vegetable fajitas ($23.99), and the California burrito ($29). For the most part, all the food was good. The steak fajitas were the worst dish as the steak was dry and overcooked. But otherwise everybody enjoyed their food however, the price did not seem to match the quantity or service provided. I'm shocked at How expensive all the dishes were! it's crazy! read more

Met up with some friends for lunch this week. It was my recommendation to go back to Cielo Cocina, as I've always had very good meals there. My wife had never been, so this was her first time. It did not disappoint us. We got a table immediately out on the patio, as it was one of the rare 70° days here in April. The place was pretty busy, lots of people, one table left on the patio. Lots of people out, enjoying the sunshine and the really good food, and quality margaritas. A lively vibe. I went with the usual, the Carne Asada tacos, which came with pinto beans and rice. I cleaned my plate. It was awesome. Everything was very fresh, flavorful, and a very nice volume of food. The house margarita was very good as well. I ended up having two of them. This time, I finally figured out the free parking, it took a little bit of work, but I was able to get the free parking and not pay the $10 or $12 I had in the past. Check their website for directions. Thank you! read more

Yummy food! I ate everything before I could take a picture I ordered the ultimate margarita which was great. Also ordered the Baja fish tacos; could have used a little more sauce or flavor but was still decent. The beans needed more flavor as well as the rice. But I wouldn't mind coming back and trying something else. Our server was nice and suggested items to try. read more

I've been here many times -- mostly for team lunches with coworkers or happy hours. It's always great. I've had their street tacos, habanero enchiladas, California burrito... everything is great. The burrito is huge and full of fries, beans and meat. The meat is super tender and flavorful. The enchiladas have a super spicy, luxurious sauce that I couldn't get enough of. Their guacamole appetizer is also awesome. The inside has like three zones - a darker, moodier corner with booths... then high tables near the bar that are airy, with a ton of light... and then an outdoor area with umbrellas to keep the sun from beating on you too bad. They're all a great vibe -- just different. This is a beautiful, modern, clean restaurant that fits perfectly into Bellevue's scene -- but it almost has too much 'corporate polish,' like a Microsoft high-rise tower. My only mildest of criticisms is that this polish kind of obfuscates how soulful eating Mexican food can be. read more

Love coming to Cielo! It's a go-to place for me and some friends who live in the area to come frequently especially in the summer to sit outside with our pups and enjoy drinks and food. Staff is always so friendly too. Highly recommended! read more

I came here a few days ago for Cinco de Mayo, so obviously it was packed and busy. Throughout the dinner, we experienced various degrees of service. We got seated outside pretty quickly. There were some heaters outside hanging on the ceiling which was nice. We did have to ask for our complimentary chips and salsa. We also had to ask for utensils after our food had been served. That request was not met with any regret, as if it was odd that we were asking for utensils to eat. The food was decent. It did not have the most taste. The dish descriptions on the menu were not exactly accurate, either. Staff did explain to us that this related to them having a special menu for Cinco de Mayo. read more

Quite possibly the best restaurant IMO that has a plethora of vegetarian Mexican options! Had a really amazing dinner here-- possibly the best Mexican I have had in the city. Started with Horchatas and the street corn. Both were excellent. The tang of the street corn went nicely with the sweetness of the drink. Very fresh tortilla chips and salsa on the house. Guacamole was also fresh and delicious. For entrees we got fajitas, Enchiladas Jardin (my order and also highly recommended by our waiter Pablo), Burrito bowl, and Quesadilla Tapatia. Amazing food. The Enchiladas Jardin had a spicy habanero sauce topping which was just so flavorful. It was the star of the meal-- I think pretty much everyone else wished they had ordered this. Portions were just perfect as well. Fajitas came with a huge mix of vegetables like cauliflower, peppers, onions. Carrots, and mushrooms! Wrapped up the dinner with a supremely yummy Tres leches cake for dessert-- we demolished it in seconds. Excellent service by Pablo; great ambience. Come here if you want some top quality Mexican food! Get the Enchiladas Jardin! Period. read more

Looks are deceiving because each dish comes with a lot of food! The portions are huge and the margaritas are delicious. The service was great and very accommodating for a group of eight people. It was a bit expensive but fun to go out with friends and family. The parking can be tricky and you can ask the staff for free parking validation. And even with a large group, we were able to walk in and get a table on a weekday. read more

I have been here twice now and both experiences were good. It ended up being a recommendation from someone I know so I went into it assuming the food would be good. While the parking situation may not be the most obvious it was very easy once you figured it out. All you need to do is park below in the garage and register your license plate for a few free hours. They sit you down with a free bowl of chips and salsa which won me over both times. I love when restaurants do this. I ordered the carne asada both times and the steak came out great both times. While the rice and beans could definitely have been better with more flavor and salt, they were at least average at most. The menu is large with a lot of eye catching options. I am still very curious about the tacos and would go back to try them. They also had a lot of drinks options and some flights I would be interested to try. I think if in the area this is a worth while meal place to consider and even a casual date night place. read more

Decent neighborhood Mexican in downtown Bellevue with great service. We had different dishes to try, the fajitas are nice, the fish tacos good (could use some punchier sauce to pull it together), but the carnitas tacos and salad were a bit boring. They got a nice drink menu with some great alc free options. The billing system overcharged us over $18, so I'm glad someone in our group caught that, that should not happen. Parking is easy and free for 3h downstairs in their garage, just drive in, checkout through the QR code and apply the 3 free hours to your license plate. read more

Great Spot for Groups with Awesome Vibes and Fresh Flavors! We came to Cielo Cocina Mexicana for a pre-prom chaperone dinner with a party of 12 on a busy Saturday night, and I was seriously impressed. Even with the weekend crowd, the staff was super friendly and kept everything running smoothly for our big group. I ordered the ribeye chicharrón, which was so good -- juicy steak, creamy avocado, and bold flavors. I wasn't expecting it to come out as more of a dip, but honestly, it worked! And they were great about keeping the chips coming so I could keep enjoying every bite. I also had a virgin prickly pear mojito (no alcohol for me!), and it was delicious -- super refreshing, just the right amount of sweetness, and really pretty too. The vibe inside Cielo is bright, modern, and really fun. There's warm lighting, colorful decor, and big windows that make the space feel open and welcoming. It strikes that perfect balance between trendy and cozy -- great for a night out with friends or a special occasion. All around, it was a fun night with great service, tasty food, and a lively atmosphere. Definitely a solid spot in Bellevue -- I'd come back in a heartbeat! read more

For a group of 6 they say us pretty quickly! The food was really good, I mean honestly no notes from me since you can just never go wrong with some good tacos! Though certain areas did seem a bit tight knit and for some reason I had to go to a diff area for their restroom which was some experience I'd say. But if you and your family are around Bellevue and wanna eat some Mexican food, I'd definitely come over here and give it a shot. read more

Located by the elements apartments on the edge of downtown Bellevue by the freeway. Parking is free but you have to scan the code with your phone with diamond parking. The vibe is cool and they have a ton of TVs with games on. Server was friendly. I like the drink and food options on their menu, and the quality is great. I had an old fashioned and tortilla chicken soup. The chicken soup was hearty and filling. If you remove the cheese it's actually a really healthy option for those who weight management goals. Overall it's a nice chill spot for high quality Mexican food. Would stop by more often after work as I work nearby in downtown Bellevue. read more

Great place! Great service, excellent food, Margarita was the best I've had in Bellevue!! We had a great dinner, and our waiter, Gérman, was a total delight! He made our evening there perfect! We sat outside on the perfect night to dine al fresco. Lovely patio! But inside is comfortable as well! One thing: parking is free (3 hours!), but only in the lot UNDER THE BUILDING. This place is very pretty, and has quite decent Mexican food. Of course I haven't tried everything they offer, but what I tried was really good! Cielo has a laid-back but elevated vibe with delicious food! I got the enchiladas Guadalajara, which I would recommend and wasn't spicy at all. The Horchata was also delicious and I had two glasses of that. My favorite traditional Mexican food in the area! All the menu items you would expect including some good vegetarian options. Love their salsa here. Ordered a new menu item on the appetizers list, chicharrones in guacamole. It was good, but it was really more pork belly pieces versus chicharrones. Takeout is really easy from here. We did it a lot during the pandemic and still do on occasion. read more

I had been craving Mexican food and Cielo was close to where we were in Bellevue for the day, so we decided to give them a try based off of their Yelp reviews. The parking situation is a little tricky on the weekends, but there was a lot open that we were able to find and there is very limited street parking, if you're lucky! The restaurant is gorgeous and the employees are super nice. Service was great the entire time, so five stars for that! Unfortunately the food just didn't hit the spot. We were super excited for the quesabirria tacos and they definitely weren't bad, but just okay. The meal in general was super Americanized when we were definitely hoping for something more traditional/authentic. That said, it wasn't bad! Just not what was expected. The consomé also wasn't very flavorful in comparison to what I've had at other spots. The margaritas were also much different than any other restaurant I've tried. Suuuper sweet, and that was with it being a Cadillac. The guacamole, however, was fantastic! So light and refreshing and tasted super fresh. Definitely the way to go in terms of appetizers. Probably not my first choice when the craving for Mexican food strikes, but it was decent. read more

Best Mexican in bellevue. Great ambiance, food is good and the staff has always been nice and quick.

We've become regulars at Cielo and the quality never wavers. The carne tacos and carne asada are genuinely delicious: well-seasoned, generous portions, and fresh every single time. We order delivery frequently and it's seamless - food arrives hot and tastes like it just came off the grill, not like it survived a journey across the Andes. If you're looking for reliable, consistently good Mexican food, Cielo delivers. Literally. Highly recommend. read more

They do all the classics here for a good price. Guac was aces. Margaritas are made with that bottled high fructose drek. What they claim to be carnitas is a good pulled pork, but not carnitas. The salsa you get with the from-the-bag tortilla chips has a marinara base...you can taste the oregano. Very good service. read more

This restaurant was incredible. Everything was delicious, from the salsa, to the entrees and service. We loved the ambiance and found our service to be incredible. Excellent SALSA! Omg! Wish I knew the secret recipe. It is so beyond delicious and the perfect amount of heat and spice... They're guacamole is also to die for! I love the food here and it is more on the traditional side of Mexican, not Tex mex! I think it is family owned, and the servers and the bartenders take their job very seriously and the service is outstanding. The only reason I give this place a four star is they only have one average tasting Chardonnay on the menu... That's a little odd to not have a choice, and second- it is super super loud inside the restaurant. You can't even hear their fabulous Mexican music on their stereo system... it's like people have to yell to tell in here :( I wish they could do something about the ambience and create better acoustics, because this could be a true destination, Goldmine, if they could fix that. If it's gorgeous weather and you can sit on the patio outside, it's absolutely glorious. DO THAT INSTEAD!! I put up with the noise, because the food is so damn good it's absolutely delicious and who's ever mama made these recipes deserves an extra hug! Whoever inherited them got a gold mine.
