So good!!! My fish tacos were flavorful. We came around 5p on a Saturday. Not too busy. Parking is really easy with the strip mall parking lot. Total was $39 before tip for quesabirria, beans and rice, fish taco. There's a dedicated area for toppings and salsas too. Food came out quick. Recommend!

A "carne asada" burrito

Every time I come here the tacos sit in a puddle of grease. Last night I went in and got a carne asada burrito and the entire burrito was filled with refried beans with a touch of rice and a few pieces of meat. Why. Disputed charge

Stopped by El Rinconsito around 10 pm for a late dinner. The place was super busy and pretty noisy, but service was quick and smooth. We had to order at the counter and find our own table. We got 3 fish tacos and 4 chicken tacos. The fish was fried and crispy with good amount of slaw, and the chicken tacos were juicy with solid seasoning. Liked them both. Great spot for late-night eats.

Another local spot serving up great tacos late at night! They have a big menu with lots of different tacos and meal deals. I got the carne asada and al pastor and they were super tasty. Their meats were well seasoned and paired great with the tortillas that they make in house. The food was also super affordable as well! This is epitome of a late night bite - good food, cheap and easy to eat. Tacos: Carne Asada and Al Pastor Tacos

We came here to redeem some free tacos because of the Sounders game we had gone to the day before. They allowed us to pick from 3 different meat choices so we got chicken and spicy pork. We liked that the salsa and condiments had ample ones to choose from. The tacos themselves weren't bad either. The manager walked around and checked on the different tables a few times during our visit to make sure everything was good.

Even though an instance of a fast food Mexican chain of restaurants, El Rinconsito - Bellevue turned out to serve really good Mexican classics, using deliciously marinated meats, fresh vegetables, and an awesome salsa bar. Translating to 'Little Corner' in English, El Rinconsito - Bellevue is one of fourteen locations operating in Washington state, with the first in Kent opening in 1997. The set-up is similar to other fast food places: you stand in line while perusing the menus above, and then place your order with the cashier, pay, then find a seat. After a few moments, the food will be delivered to you. This gives you time to grab salsa and accompaniments from the salsa bar. I followed the advice of my dining locals and ordered the Enchiladas Mexicanas platter with choice of meat $14.98 (I chose buche, which I THOUGHT was pig head, but ended up being pig stomach (tripe)....big difference...was wondering why none of it had muscle fibers...just tender, slightly chewy offal). I still liked it (and now can say I've eaten pig stomach). It was covered in green sauce, with corn tortillas folded over the generous amount of meat, with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and chihuahua cheese crumbles. It came with a good dollop of refried beans, and some decent mexican rice. None of it was too heavy, and I ended up not needing any of the salsas I had grabbed from the bar. One of the salsas was orange so figured it was the hottest, but later realized all of it was pretty mild, with the pico de gallo being the hottest (since it had pickled jalapenos in it). My daughter's taco plate came with a drink, and she wanted me to try the mandarin Favorito brand of soda. It was good..couldn't tell if it used cane sugar instead of corn syrup, but since made in Mexico, assuming so. Was trying to decide if better than Jarritos...couldn't decide. The restaurant will bus the reusable plates, so it was easy to leave once we were done. Everything was fast...this would be a good place for a quick lunch. From their website: "Our tasty recipes prepared with quality ingredients at reasonable prices". I completely agree. It was great.

Current menu

Authentic food, reasonably priced. Casual dining place with little to no ambiance but place seems to be clean.

This is a very generous dish, and very delicious. I was not expecting the size I have to admit. I chose it because I am not happy with the tacos bundle which is going on, where you have to take a soda that I am not drinking. Yummmmmy. And the service is always always friendly and a very efficient. Gracias.

The food here always hits! I love all the El Rinconsitos, the food is always flavorful and the portions are good. The only thing I will say about this particular location is that the portion is smaller, relative to other El Rinconsito branches. The staff is always nice and ready to help. It's like a diner vibe, but very inviting and great atmosphere to just sit, eat, and gossip with your friends!

Pollo Asado (1/2): very dry meat
Jolene H.

Being from SoCal, I miss my favorite Mexican restaurants. I especially miss places like El Pollo Loco and Juan Pollo. So when I saw they were advertising Pollo Asado here, I had to give it a try. Here is my review: Pollo Asado 1/2 Chicken Plate is $19.28. The chicken was served with a very crispy skin, but appeared to have been flattened as if it were cooked in a press of some sort, and not rotisserie. Decent flavor, but was very dry. Plate comes with rice, beans and a side salad. Rice and beans were cold, and the salad was decent size, but had maybe a tablespoon on ranch dressing plopped in the center of it. Corn tortillas tasted home made, and were much larger than a typical corn tortilla. Very tasty. The salsa bar did not disappoint. Pickled carrots were delicious , and the chipotle and avocado salsa were very good. Staff were friendly enough, however, I did order a bottle of water, and when I noticed it wasn't brought out with me meal, I was told I needed to pick it out of the refrigerator in the lobby. I wish the lady at the counter had pointed that out at the beginning. Overall: 3 stars. I'll be back to try other dishes, but sad to say the Pollo Asado was disappointing.

So many edible flowers too! Iconic. The hamaci ceviche was so fresh and delicious. I had to stop myself from licking the plate. The truffle taquitos were also lovely. I got the branzino enchilada as my main and WOW! Phenomenal texture and flavor. It all just worked. On top of this, the plating is gorgeous and the tables are intimate and cozy. We did a belated Christmas gift exchange with friends recently and our friends made reservations here. So glad they did! It's literally right down in the main Bellevue Square hub, so we were able to easily park at the mall and make a short walk to Castilla. Vibes were perfect with low lighting but still a bustling atmosphere. Our server (unfortunately forgot his name) kept solid recommendations coming all night and was so funny and personable! As this is a tapas spot, we tried quite a few dishes and split them amongst the table. Mixta Paella: our server promised us that the smaller size paella was good for 2-4 people and man he was RIGHT. The portion was absolutely insane and I don't think we even finished all of it. Everything tasted so fresh and there was so much flavor to the dish. They warn you ahead of time, but plan for the paella to take 30 minutes for them to prepare. Grilled Octopus Leg: Every time I have octopus (which is two times now LOL) I'm a little worried about the texture, but it was prepared beautifully here and the sauce that it was in was delicious. Salmon & Artichoke Dip: I'm a sucker for any type of artichoke dip and this was no exception. Creamy, rich, and great flavor! Beef Medallions: Tender and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend. Chorizo & Onion Empanada: Another banger. So crispy and the filling was so good! I actually was on the fence about this one but my husband insisted, and it was a good choice. Patatas Aioli: Crispy layered potato with a garlic aioli? I mean, come on. You can't go wrong. Delicious. This was our first visit to Castilla and I'm sure it won't be the last - would definitely return if I'm dining up again in Bellevue!

You know, the kind of place where you sit down thinking, "We'll just have one drink," and suddenly it's three tequilas later and you're talking about your childhood dreams. Speaking of tequila... WOW. The tequila selection here is basically a library, and the bartenders are the very enthusiastic librarians. They know everything. My partner and I were lovingly escorted through a full tequila tour before our food even arrived, and honestly? By the time dinner showed up, life was beautiful and all decisions felt correct. Needless to say, we were having an excellent time. The food definitely holds its own too. Everything came out fresh, beautifully plated, and tasting like someone in the kitchen actually cares (which is always a plus). We split a few dishes, including the Carne Asada and the Pescado. The Carne Asada was good, though it could've used just a bit more seasoning, nothing tragic, just a gentle nudge from "good" to "wow." The Pescado, however, was fantastic. Topped with olives, capers, and tomatoes... I mean, how do you even mess that up? You don't. And they didn't. Bonus points: they're open late, until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. So if you find yourself wandering the streets of Bellevue after hours, questioning your life choices and craving tequila and good food, congratulations, you've found your place. Overall: great vibes, strong drinks, solid food, and bartenders who will happily teach you more about tequila than you ever planned to know. So when I saw this location of…read moreBellevue's largest microbrewery, my wife and I had to stop in for an early lunch with a sampling of beers. The food and beers were great. As the name states, the very large brewpub is located in the Spring District, inside the park/greenspace. The district used to be an industrial area, that has been transformed into a mixed residential/retail area, centered around the light rail transit station. The brewery makes great use of the outdoor space, with a lot of seating for an impromptu biergarten on nice days. This Tuesday was a typical March day in Seattle, which meant dining inside was a must. We ended up finding street parking a couple of blocks away, though they do have validated parking: in the underground parking right below (with under 10 dedicated spots) and the bigger Spring district Parking garage nearby. Amanda was our server, and she was super friendly, giving us suggestions. They have a large selection of house brewed beers, and we chose eight of the non-IPA ones as two flights, consisting of 4 5oz glasses (assuming it cost $12). We tried the Harvest Boom P.O.G. Wheat (this was our favorite one), Bothell Brown (liked this one), Snake Charmer Irish Red (strangely very mild for a Red), ChugMeister Mazren Lager (my second favorite). Second flight consisted of 1882 Pre-Prohibition Lager (very crisp and light), Muckle Flugga Scotch Ale (really like Scotch Ale in general, though hard to find on the West Coast...thought this version was OK), Schwarzbier Black Lager (different, very mild, really enjoyed), and a Der Kommissar Pilsner (super light with no body). I don't think I've been able to choose two flights of non-IPA in-house beers before...they keep a very large selection here, and it's worth coming to, just for the draft beers. We ordered some bar food that both of us like, and each plate was excellent. Shareable thick cut fries ($11) was very filling, especially since they were fried very well and were sturdy enough for dipping. Got Scotch Ale Chili ($13) and it was hearty, with plenty of pinto beans and good ground beef, with not too much chili powder. It came with housemade tortilla chips, which were thin and excellent. Wanted to try their beef birria, ordered their birria Nachos ($19) and it was really well prepared. Everything was diced into small pieces, used a really good beer cheese sauce and the the fresh guacamole was solid. For a brewpub, it has excellent bar food. The portions were large...we ended up taking about half of it home. Next time, will stay longer and try some of their main course dishes. The room was modern with plenty of windows for natural light. The central bar is huge, but there are plenty of bar tables as well, letting patrons decide how they want to dine/hang. My only complaint was that the payment process was at the table with only a tablet, and gave me no chance to look at the receipt. The total seemed right and was expecting a chance for receipt, but Amanda grabbed the tablet after my tip and signature before I could ask for a digital receipt, and then disappeared. I suppose I could have tracked her down, but getting a receipt after a meal should not be that hard. Can't remember the last time I was out, and couldn't get a receipt easily...would have made this review a bit easier.
