I love going to local brewpubs and microbreweries when traveling. So when I saw this location of Bellevue's largest microbrewery, my wife and I had to stop in for an early lunch with a sampling of beers. The food and beers were great. As the name states, the very large brewpub is located in the Spring District, inside the park/greenspace. The district used to be an industrial area, that has been transformed into a mixed residential/retail area, centered around the light rail transit station. The brewery makes great use of the outdoor space, with a lot of seating for an impromptu biergarten on nice days. This Tuesday was a typical March day in Seattle, which meant dining inside was a must. We ended up finding street parking a couple of blocks away, though they do have validated parking: in the underground parking right below (with under 10 dedicated spots) and the bigger Spring district Parking garage nearby. Amanda was our server, and she was super friendly, giving us suggestions. They have a large selection of house brewed beers, and we chose eight of the non-IPA ones as two flights, consisting of 4 5oz glasses (assuming it cost $12). We tried the Harvest Boom P.O.G. Wheat (this was our favorite one), Bothell Brown (liked this one), Snake Charmer Irish Red (strangely very mild for a Red), ChugMeister Mazren Lager (my second favorite). Second flight consisted of 1882 Pre-Prohibition Lager (very crisp and light), Muckle Flugga Scotch Ale (really like Scotch Ale in general, though hard to find on the West Coast...thought this version was OK), Schwarzbier Black Lager (different, very mild, really enjoyed), and a Der Kommissar Pilsner (super light with no body). I don't think I've been able to choose two flights of non-IPA in-house beers before...they keep a very large selection here, and it's worth coming to, just for the draft beers. We ordered some bar food that both of us like, and each plate was excellent. Shareable thick cut fries ($11) was very filling, especially since they were fried very well and were sturdy enough for dipping. Got Scotch Ale Chili ($13) and it was hearty, with plenty of pinto beans and good ground beef, with not too much chili powder. It came with housemade tortilla chips, which were thin and excellent. Wanted to try their beef birria, ordered their birria Nachos ($19) and it was really well prepared. Everything was diced into small pieces, used a really good beer cheese sauce and the the fresh guacamole was solid. For a brewpub, it has excellent bar food. The portions were large...we ended up taking about half of it home. Next time, will stay longer and try some of their main course dishes. The room was modern with plenty of windows for natural light. The central bar is huge, but there are plenty of bar tables as well, letting patrons decide how they want to dine/hang. My only complaint was that the payment process was at the table with only a tablet, and gave me no chance to look at the receipt. The total seemed right and was expecting a chance for receipt, but Amanda grabbed the tablet after my tip and signature before I could ask for a digital receipt, and then disappeared. I suppose I could have tracked her down, but getting a receipt after a meal should not be that hard. Can't remember the last time I was out, and couldn't get a receipt easily...would have made this review a bit easier. read more

Awesome spot with plenty of seating inside and out! Family friendly outside of the bar area. Loud atmosphere with open seating. I loved the Southwest Chicken salad! The portion was huge, and the flavors mixed well. We were kinda tucked in a booth near the restrooms so service was sporadic, but still very friendly. This is definitely my favorite eastside brewery - if not Seattle area brewery in general. Not sure how I haven't posted a review before!? I'm not a huge IPA fan, but they always have something malty or lager-like on the menu, too. Food is, IMHO, solid. Burgers are good, the fish and chips can be greasy but are usually quite good. Wife seems to like the chili and gluten-free pizzas. Staff are always awesome characters with a (fun, good) personality. Usually some game is on the TVs, and depending on time of day/week/year the crowd varies. Go visit. Breweries are closing because the younger generation's drinking less. You don't have to drink a ton, just support a local place with good food, vibe, and drinks (there's plenty of NA things). read more

We went to Bellevue Brewing Company on a weekday for a late dinner. The host was really sweet. The place has ample seating and is great to hang out. However the food wasn't amazing or great. It was decent but also pretty expensive. The Margherita pizza was literally tomato sauce with tiny amounts of cheese and it was disappointing. Stopped here for lunch. Power was at half capacity with the wind and rain. Brewery was darker as a result and somewhat quiet. Happy hour Sunday all day. Ordered the special club lunch $16 and Southwest salad $17. Decent portions and tasty. Parking on street and garage but not a lot. read more

Great place to grab a beer and socialize! I ended up here fairly early in the morning and wasn't the first one in. Large, clean space with a ton of tables, definitely a great place for get togethers. We were promptly greeted and told we can sit where we'd like. I opted for a flight, server's choice. I really liked all of them and I would absolutely come back just for the beer. For lunch I went with a mac & cheese. It was okay, I guess. Kinda a weird texture, too much butter perhaps? I'd be willing to try something else on the menu, but I don't see myself ordering that again. On the plus side, my lunch partner really, really liked the chili. read more

The pizza was tasty and had a good cheese pull. It was surprisingly bigger than I expected so I thought it was worth the price. Our waitress was very friendly and the out door seating was very nice in the summer except for some wasps that kept hanging around the table. They also have parking validation for the nearby parking lots so that was a huge plus! My group ordered a pitcher of beer that went well with our food! Food was honestly bad. Starting with the fish and chips; the fish was just okay, the fries were actually decent, the slaw was also okay. The margherita pizza was SO BAD. It tasted like premade dough crust sold on the shelf at grocery stores, slathered with pizza sauce, with thick slices of fresh tomato each topped with mozzarella and basil and drizzled with olive oil. The pretzel was what you would expect for bar food, not bad. The beer was good! I would definitely come here again for beer and maybe try something else from the menu but the food options we tried were either bad or really mediocre. Service was pretty good, our waiter was really nice but at the end we finished and waited around 20 minutes with no one checking on us so we just got up and paid the tab at the bar with another server. Really beautiful self-seating type joint, great place to visit on a hot day. You can refill your own water which is great. We ordered some salads and drinks. While I can't speak on the drinks, the salads were very fresh and the chicken on them was well-seasoned. The mango on the mango avocado salad did taste canned but the sweetness wasn't overpowering and the dish was great overall. read more

The ambiance was casual, and we arrived while a match was underway, so it was unexpectedly busy. We waited about 20 minutes to get a table. The staff was friendly and served quickly. We stopped by to grab drinks on a Sunday. We wanted to enjoy the sunshine & day drink, and this was the perfect spot. Little did we know that they offered Happy Hour eats all day Sunday. We grabbed some snacks, the pretzel and veggies & hummus, we added pita. The hummus was absolutely delicious, flavorful with a good kick. I would highly recommend. It came with plenty of veggies. Just east of Bellevue's downtown lies a newer development, which includes some very nice places to grab an adult beverage. In comes Bellevue Brewing Company. It's located in the heart of this working neighborhood among the condos and tech offices. Parking may be a challenge in broad daylight, and I won't imagine what it's like in the evening time. However, once you get past that part, Bellevue Brewing is a very nice place with a very nice atmosphere. There is also a welcoming and generous staff ready to serve you - and give you some nice suggestions. Where the food looked extremely good, the beer looked equally good. The Oatmeal Stout always seems like a winner and there is something for those looking for a good IPA like their Citrus and Imperial selections. So, if you're in the neighborhood, and looking for a brew (and a burger) come to this neighborhoods favorite gasto-pub. read more

We came here for our team lunch today. We ordered a variety of dishes. The French Dip was great and the Bacon wrapped Jalapeno was delicious. I didn't like my fish & chips though. I am sorry, but there simply is not enough parking. I tried to attend a company event here and ended up not attending. Very frustrating.

Went to the restaurant because we were looking for a meal for our daughter and her friend who was leaving town after a visit. Nothing fancy, just an easy goodbye meal before the airport. My wife had a salad that was supposed to come with avocado. When I tracked down the waitress, she returned with a small plastic cup with an avocado slice in it - OK, I guess. I ordered a salad with dressing on the side. It came dressed - not heavily. The chicken was pretty OK. I inhaled my beer, but was never given another chance at one - too busy, I guess. We asked for validation because we parked two cars in the garage. She brought the tickets back and thanked us for the opportunity for her to serve us - cheerful departure - great. When we went to leave the garage, it charged me $6. I just thought it was the remainder after the validation, but it was apparently the cost to park without validation. I actually called the restaurant and asked them about it. They first suggested I did the ticket wrong, then they said it "glitches" sometimes. At which point he said I should maybe call Diamond Parking and suggested I SHOULD have just stayed in line to work it out there. I gotta say. I you want average food, below average service, the opportunity to pay an additional $12 after your meal to an international parking services company with "glitchy" systems, then BBC is totally the right choice for you. The mango chicken salad was delicious and I can't wait to come back and eat it again soon. The gluten free avocado chicken sandwich was really good too. We tried Bellevue Brewing Company on a sunny day and were able to sit outside. The outdoor area was nice and allowed dogs. The place was incredibly busy which resulted in pretty slow service. I think we were there for about 2.5 hours and only had time for 2 drinks due to the limited check ins because it was so busy. Overall, the tacos were really good. I've been looking for more places to order Birria tacos from and I'd definitely order those again if we come back. I'm not sure how often we will be back due to the initial encounter but I'm willing to give it another shot if someone invited me there. read more

We stopped here for lunch on the way to our hotel. The ambience is pure brew pub with outside seating, which is what we did because the weather was perfect. There is street parking, no private lot. We started with the chips trio that came with three dips--guac, salsa, and beer cheese. The wife and I both liked the guac a lot and we both thought the "salsa" was just plain strange. It had the consistency of soup and lacked heat and flavor. I liked the beer cheese but the wife did not like it so much. At $14, it was overpriced and not really worth it. I had the shrimp tacos and they were excellent. Flavors came together and the shrimp were cleaned, which is must for me. The wife had crispy fish tacos (cod) and thought the coating was too thick and overcooked. The kid had a pizza and liked it. We drank Bellevue original IPA and it was excellent, a perfect pairing with tacos. Our server was efficient and professional. Very beautiful new design for this restaurant that I believe used to be in a different part of Bellevue and was perhaps more divey. This place is solid which includes a large indoor bar/dining area. as well as a giant outdoor seating area that I would assume is seasonal. Service was a little slow as there were maybe 4 tables inside the restaurant but i didn't realize until we left that there was that outdoor area that was packed which our server needed to attend to. I think they only had 2 people working so maybe just add a little bit of staff and you'll be all set. Still had a great experience. Came to Bellevue Brewing Co for the first time with a bunch of friends after a game and had a blast. I think I was a bigger fan of the vibes than the actual food and drinks, but that's okay! We came at around 8pm, ~20 people, and were immediately seated and served. I love how they let you seat yourselves and move tables/chairs around, it's perfect for socializing. I ordered a French Dip, which sounded a lot more appetizing than it was, and was more expensive than I thought. It was a pretty mediocre sandwich, the horseradish and beef broth did not contribute. The fries were alright. I paid $30 in total for just that... but the service was really fast and I had a great time. I think I'd recommend this place for shareables and for fun with friends, but not for a meal. read more

So, oddly enough, I'm not a fan of the beer at Bellevue Brewing Company. But with this new Spring District location and plenty of options than what was at its former location, I can see myself coming back to Bellevue Brewing Company. Although I can't tell you how great the beer is, I do like that they have cocktails, hard seltzers, ciders and wine for those looking beyond the beer to lick your whistle. Plus, when you get something on tap, you can choose from 12, 16 or 20 ounces, which makes it easier if you want to try different taps. The food is expensive, but you're in Bellevue and in the newest neighborhood, which is booming. Because of so, they cater to the Meta workers and residents around. But after having the southwest chicken salad, I was pleasantly pleased with my dinner. The worst is when food is overpriced and it's lackluster. But I liked the southwest chicken salad, as the portion was plenty, with tender, flavorful chicken breast, avocado, tortilla strips and fresh greens. I'd recommend trying if you want a delicious salad. My friends enjoyed their meals here, too, including my vegetarian friend who liked the buffalo cauliflower and mac and cheese. Happy hour gives you a few bucks off of taps and some bites are discounted. I liked the ambiance of this place, as it was chill, with a large patio that looks out to the Spring District and is dog-friendly. The staff were super friendly and this place can easily host large groups with its huge space. It's a great addition to this new and booming neighborhood in Bellevue. read more

4.5 Stars Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The parking situation is a bit tricky. There are large grassy areas and fountains around. At first I wasn't impressed by the menu selections (wings, pizza, tacos, hand -helds standard bar food) but I got the chicken skewers on pesto risotto ($22) and they were amazing! I was surprised at how high quality the food is! They have a happy hour from 2 - 5 pm on weekdays. Nice drink selection. I'd imagine this is a good spot to watch games too. Bellevue Brewing Company or (BBC) is a hip spot in a new and improved location in the 'Spring District'. Surrounded by new apartments and other fast-growing developments, it fits right in as a happenin' place for drinks and eats. There's all kinds bar food here like burgers, nachos, salads pizza from Cascadia pizza and of course beer! The selections are pretty good here with 3 different hazy IPAs at the time of my visit. Those being a go to of mine at any brewery. To eat I had chicken sandwich which was quite the sandwich! FAT cutlets with strips of bacon and some slaw. It comes on a brioche bun topped with a pickle with a side of fries. Overall, this thing is Big AND Crispy! The foods good, the drinks are good, the service is good. Only snag. It's expensive. That chicken sandwich and a single 12 Oz beer was $30 flat! Like man, it was good no doubt but that's pretty steep. Went for lunch with old work friends. The food was good as was the service. The sever gave us space to talk and catch up while still making sure we were taken care of. The bread pudding is a definite recommendation for dessert. Parking was a bit of an issue but we all were able to grab either near by street or parking garage spots.
