My favorite restaurant of all time! Amazing service from all of the staff. I go here at least once a week with my partner or a friend, and have been a customer for years. Our usual server Fernando makes us feel extra special, always treats us wonderfully! Unlimited complimentary chips and salsa. Very well-priced food and drinks. Jumbo margaritas are ~$15 and come in soooo many delicious flavors - my top 3 are the coconut, pineapple, and huckleberry. You can also do a flight for a similar price. My absolute favorite food here are the habanero enchiladas. Also recently a fan of the Tacos de la Calle. But all of their food is truly incredible. Stopped in here on Cinco Dr Mayo. It had been awhile, so it was the obvious choice. The menu for the day was made specifically for Cinco De Mayo. Smaller menu, shorter list of items. But the prices seemed so much higher than what we expected. Like I said, it had been awhile since we had eaten here. It was fairly busy, good buzz in the room, really enjoyed someone making a call on their speaker phone as loud as possible! I got all their juicy doctor details now ... Service was decent, but felt somewhat ignored being in the back room, by ourselves. But we didn't starve or get severely dehydrated. Thanks for that. Now for the food. We decided to share the 3 fish tacos, as it sounded really good. The tacos were quite tasty, and somewhat abundant in portion size. What really disappointed was the rice and beans. Rice was flavorless, as were the very small portions. Again, $28 for 3 fish tacos with really small portion of rice and beans. Not for me! I'll find a taco truck! Food, excellent chicken in the chicken quesadilla, chicken taquito, Chicken soup, and chicken quesadilla. Happy hour is 3-6, Mon. - Thursday. Friday it ends at 5:00. The first round of happy hour margaritas were good. The second round ok. Service---mmmmmeeeehhhh. Reluctantly friendly. Especially when I asked for the happy hour menu. Boo. I've eaten here before for the happy hour menu, which is pretty good, but the service is definitely sometimes not so friendly. When we were finished, wow, he hustled. Great experience! Have eyed this place for a while so it was finally time to try it. Came here at 2:30pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately! No wait at all. Had a vet appointment a few doors down from this restaurant, and being on a tight schedule, we ordered carry out. First time here and we were exceptionally pleased. Wife and I both got the habanero enchiladas which were served with rice and black beans. Great portion size and placed in aluminum pan w secure lid for travel. The habanero cream was smooth and nicely hot but not overly so. The protein in the enchilada was chicken, both white and dark meat nicely seasoned and cooked. I especially liked their website!!! Not only easy to navigate, but each menu item was pictured and thoroughly described, too. That made for easy decisions. We will definitely return for a dining-in experience soon. read more

We frequent this place but not any longer. Three times a month at least. Server was not attentive to basic needs and didn't have basic restaurant/hospitality skills. My husbands Carne Asada was way overcooked but also came out cold. When he asked for a non cold meal they took his plate and put it either in the microwave or in the heating warmer area which over cooked it even more. When we got the check, we were charged $0.65 for a to go container. I'm paying more money to bring food I already paid for home. $0.06 would maybe be reasonable but $0.65 is absurd, especially without telling anyone to expect that charge. read more

Fun little Mexican restaurant in the Bellevue area. We came on a weeknight with a party of seven with a reservation and got seated pretty quickly. I like how they give you tortilla chips and salsa for the table. Salsa was spicy but tasty. I got the burrito and it was literally so big it was like the size of a small baby. You could definitely eat this for two meals Service was pretty quick and friendly overall would come here if I'm in a pickle, but there are probably better Mexican restaurants around. read more

I ordered the carne asada plate which came with rice and choice of beans and tortillas. Those fresh made tortillas were amazing! Rice was lacking flavor, but the carne asada made up for that. Also ordered the margarita flight (and I'm not normally a big tequila drinker, but when it's Mexican food ya gotta do it)! I got the blood orange, coconut, and blue pineapple. Blue pineapple was my favorite hands down. Also ordered the black cherry margarita on its own which was strong and tasty! Did you know they sell to go margaritas? They are in a fridge when you enter. I highly recommend getting the Carnitas. So juicy and delicious. One of the best flavors I've ever had. I also like the house salad because the dressing is a bit different. It's like a creamy balsamic. I've even topped it with Carnitas. The margaritas are delicious. One of my favorites is the Jamaican hibiscus. Their chips and salsa are also warm and tasty. I personally really enjoy this place! they give you a bowl of chips and salsa that's quite large. I think they might charge if you get a refill but it's pretty hefty so I ate my heart out and between two people didn't need a refill the burrito is actually huge. I always have no control and overdo my chip eating so ended up taking 60% of my burrito home to- go instead. it's a fun ambiance here, people bring their families and there was even a birthday being celebrated. the portions are pretty huge. price is reasonable ($18-30$) and staff is always super friendly and nice! read more

I've been goin to this restaurant since the day they opened around 30 years ago as I grew up in Newcastle (used to be Renton) so this isn't a one time visit review. I grew up with this place and they will always have a place in my heart but it's become the joke of Newcastle. Sadly, the service the last 4-5 years (not counting Covid) has gotten so bad it's almost comical. Literally the worst service I've had in any restaurant in decades. Don't get me wrong, they are polite, they just never come out to actually serve their customers. This restaurant loses sooooooo much money because they never come back to ask if you'd like another drink, etc. Went there for lunch today with my parents and the restaurant was not busy at all and every person in the entire restaurant literally had to flag down someone to either get a drink, pay their bill, etc. I saw people walking up to the entrance to the kitchen cuz they had been waiting for so long. This isn't including the last 3-4 other times I've taken my parents there in the last year as the service was exactly the same, horrendous. It's honestly sad cuz it's a wonderful family Mexican joint but I wonder if the owners have no clue that their staff is a complete joke. I've been here a few times over the years and never really been all that impressed. It opened as Rositas back in the 90's and I'm not 100% certain when it became Tapatio. I don't know if they are affiliated with the Factoria restaurant with a similar name, but I do know some of the dishes taste similar. I had a couple problems with this visit. First was the fact that pricing on the site is not in line with the restaurant. Dishes have been watered down as many came with pickled jalapenos, instead of roasted peppers. The salsa was also tangy and had zero heat. I will say the beans and carnitas were tasty, but I passed on the rice and it had corn and peas in it. Had the rice been veggie free and the salsa had heat this place with be solid, but like most local restaurants, it's not about authentic flavor but about making it takes like commercially acceptable ethnic cuisine that people that know zero about culture love. read more

I haven't been here in probably 15 or so years! Stopped in for lunch since Loco Chon was closed and was pleasantly surprised. Food came out quick and it wasn't bad (definitely high in sodium though)...I ordered the chorizo eggs and added corn tortillas. This was enough for two meals. I'm sorry but I was sadly very very underwhelmed and disappointed about this place because I wanted to love it. I got the Pescado Chipotle and the queso dip. They didn't specify that it wasn't a fried fish, I was expecting a mojarra frita...this fish was steamed and in the blandest "chipotle sauce" I've ever had, I literally thought they served it with sour cream or crema because it didn't have any seasonings. I couldn't eat it, there was no way to save it or umph it up at all. It was the equivalent of getting fish and chips but the batter being taken off and it being mushy and flavorless. Beans watery, rice was dry. Now for the queso dip, honestly not a fan, it was pretty basic and didn't knock my socks off. Service was another disappointment....i waited for a good hour and during that time barely got acknowledged, especially after I first came in. One of them was trying to talk to this woman who was Latina but she didn't speak Spanish, but ignored me when I was answering in Spanish and tried to order in Spanish. All in all this is very whitewashed Mexican food, catered for people who can't do spices. This place looks cool, but save your tastebuds and go elsewhere read more
