I love this restaurant! We used to eat here all the time when I was a kid. And thank goodness it is just as good as I remember! The staff is super friendly as usual. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was sooo delicious, tender shredded chicken and sooo cheesy. Perfection! My husband got the chile relleno and ground beef burrito combo. He loved it. My kids ordered the Nachos La Fuente and the Burrito De Asada, both really good. The portions here are huge! Ordered through Door Dash. As good measure and common sense, if I pay almost $30, use your small tiny brains, and provide utensils and a napkin? How hard is that? Also, I actually ORDERED utensils and still did not get them! How tf am I supposed to eat a chimichanga, an enchilada, beans and rice with no utensils?! Slow mfs, do better. Nah. This is a large place that seems to be larger skating on past laurels. Food was okay at best. My chile relleno was the inside out type, and it was super heavy on the cheese. Other stuff was equally just okay. And their payment system was down because their internet was down. Huh? Use a hotspot while you wait for a fix. Won't return. I can't believe I have never reviewed this La Fuente. Over the last 30 years I've probably been there 30 times. I'm pretty sure it's a "sister" restaurant to the one in Fairwood. This one is the prettier sister. On this visit my friend and I both got lunch combos. I ordered a beef tostada & chicken enchilada. Both were delicious. I thought I was going to clean my plate but couldn't quite finish my enchilada and beans & rice. Happily enjoyed them as leftovers for lunch the next day. My friend ordered 2 cheese enchiladas. She took one bite and realized they were chicken. Not one to complain or waste food she was going to just eat them when our waiter arrived with her cheese enchiladas realizing there had been a mistake. Our water glasses were kept filled and we were offered refills on chips & salsa. It was quite cold inside when we arrived as the first lunch guests of the day. In the ladies room the first bathroom stall you come to is child size. Very low to the floor. Use the handicap stall unless you like sitting on very low toilets. read more

Holy molé! This place is epic. The Nachos La Fuente was one of the best plates of nachos I've ever had. Add chicken and honestly, the small plate is plenty for 3-4 people as an appetizer. I can't even imagine what the large plate is like. The chicken molé was on point and the Enchiladas Sunrise was delicious. Enchiladas with eggs on top? Yes please! Service was quick and friendly. **COVID-19 Lockdown Edition** I have never been to La Fuente before. In truth I never heard about it. My friend and I were hungry and ordered from La Fuente had his suggestion since he had gone there before. We opted to use Uber Eats as our conveyor of delicious food and placed our order. For some reason the order noted that it was done by the time our delivery driver was in the parking lot but then the restaurant asked for additional time. Our delivery driver was not sure why as she said that the food was ready when she got there so she didn't know why they just didn't hand it to her and send her on her way. That really was the only hiccup. Our food arrived nicely packaged and still quite warm. I had ordered a Mexican pizza which was a flour shell topped with beans, cheese, guac, sour cream, and ground beef. It was very good! It was perfectly balanced, great flavor, and just overly delightful. I also ordered churros as churros are one of the few desserts my friend and I can both eat and they were amazing! Light, crisp but doughy in the inside with the perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar I would have eaten them all and left none for my friend in lockdown with me. He ordered a burrito which was longer than my forearm and thicker. It was amazing! I was very happy with the experience! read more

Last weekend we had a wonderful dinning experience here. It's a clean environment. Family friendly. Staff was incredibly. The staff that greeted us had a smile and was friendly. The rest of the staff were the same. We were served hot fresh chips and fresh salsa. Neither the chips or salsa were empty before replaced. Our drinks were also replaced before they were empty. The food came quickly, hot hot hot and so incredibly yummy! Huge portions. Prices were fair! I can't wait to go back!! New favorite place in town! read more

I was stuck between giving La Fuente 4 or 5 stars, but I honestly had a great experience so why not go all out? My boyfriend works up the road from here so we went to lunch together one day last week. There were quite a few people dining in for lunch, and it was clear everyone worked nearby (based on their uniforms and such). We were helped pretty quickly and had drinks right away. I ended up ordering the Burrito Asada and my boyfriend got the enchiladas. The Burrito Asada was freakin' MASSIVE. I'm not even exaggerating when I say this thing was bigger than my forearm. Even with me being pregnant it was impossible to eat all of it. It was sooo delicious though! Their guac is amazing too - it may even be better than Chipotle's. The burrito also came with a side of rice and beans. For the both of us, the bill came to a total of $22. Pretty cheap for how much food we got! A great neighborhood restaurant! Whenever I'm craving good, consistent food I can count on La Fuente. I can't recall ever leaving dissatisfied or hungry. We dined early Saturday evening and the restaurant was bustling with tables; as we sat customers were still flowing in steadily. Quickly seated and given warm tortilla chips and salsa as we waited, major win when given at any Mexican restaurant. Their tostadas, tacos and enchiladas are the main things I've tried. The enchiladas (beef/chicken) are one of my favorites and also my boyfriend, he gets it every time we go. Blended margaritas here are also super tasty! read more

Service is very attentive, food is usually amazing, and they're not stingy on the chips and salsa. Margaritas are strong too, and come in 2 sizes! This place is $hit under new ownership. Long-time customer they made very clear they do t want back. I called ahead, and asked if they had internet so I could check my email during power outage. They said yes. When I got there I said I wanted to place an order to go and use a booth with an outlet while I waited. The waitress hostess tried ti sit me at a booth but some guy over rode her and told me to sit by bathrooms with chord plugged into wall where people could trip. I told him I was ready to order then he ignored me and took three other parties' orders. While I was waiting a teenage girl tripped on the chord. It wasn't more than half an inch above the ground so it should have been easy to kiss but if she's not expecting it... I get it. My laptop hit the ground and I left. I still don't know why I was sat there with open booths and I don't know why he ignored me after I flagged him down to order. Buuut Shouldn't have went here I should've known since it was sooo far out of the way it wasn't worth it. Very very salty. My daughter and I had the espresso burrito and arroz con poilo both of which were just way to salty. Pretty much inedible. Literally I had like 3 bites and just couldn't eat anymore of it. La Fuente's Burrito de Asada is probably one of my favorite asada burritos. It is HUGE btw, it's bigger than my forearm. Every time that I've gone here my husband and I have amazing service! They've given my husband a free shot or only charge him a single for a double many times. When I have a craving for Mexican food, this is the place I go to. I enjoy supporting this mom and pop shop over the big chains. The place has older decor, but the food is good! The service is good too. For the price that you pay, you get a lot of food too. I always have a to-go bag. The menu has almost too many options, so you're bound to find something you like on it. Right after you sit down, they bring over warm tortilla chips and salsa. It's hard to not fill up on these because it's so good especially if you like your salsa spicy. read more
