This was our first time visiting, and wow it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious. Our favorite was the Shrimp (Langostinos a la Diabla). We added butter and garlic, and it honestly tasted like a seafood boil in the best way! The sauce was spicy, rich, and packed with flavor . The restaurant is located across from the Renton airport, so the area may seem a little sketchy at first, but we had no issues at all. There's parking available, and we were seated right away. The interior is beautiful, cozy, and perfect for date night, family dinners, or a night out with friends it really fits any vibe. And we have to shout out our waitress she was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel so welcomed. Our food came out quickly, and everything was fresh and hot. The food here is great. My boyfriend and I used to come here all the time but stopped coming because the service is horrible. We came again tonight and the serve with the bright pink lipstick is rude asf. She didn't take our food order and was instead she's at the desk eating and talking to her coworker while we looked at her ready to order she kept eating and talking. My boyfriend had to go up and tell her our order. The service here sucks. I went to this place and I had no clue what is was. It's a Mexican seafood joint. I forgot to take a picture of the menu but my friends ate the food there as well as I and we'd say the food isn't bad. They ordered a seafood platter with all kinds of food on there. The ambiance was great. They had a group in there playing songs for 35 dollars a song a piece!! That was crazy!! The food was not so good as last year that my family and I went. I think they changed cook cause it was very sloppy and everything tasted the same from the salsa from the chips to the salsa verde from the aguachile. Looking through the menu I was super excited as they are focus on seafood rather than the traditional mexican cuisine. The food: Large order of fish and shrimp ceviche - super fresh, very flavorful - huge portion Pescado Zarandeado - huge grilled fish, came with salad and rice and corn tortillas and green sauce. Super flavorful, love the green sauce and love the grilled marks on the fish. Unnecessary accompaniment: chowder crackers??? Not sure what it's for and why we got so many since chips were also provided. Siracha mayo sauce??? Not sure what this is for as well. Went in with my husband and kids awhile back for dinner as I saw food posting in Instagram and it looked really good. It was a Friday or Saturday night and the place was packed, they had a live band too right at the entrance. Well we got into the restaurant and just stood there for like 5 minutes with no one greeted or even acknowledged that we were there. Saw waiters around but no one cared to say anything to us. It was loud and just awkward!! Not sure how long we stood there but we left and never going back. Poor service and just bad business. HIDDEN GEM! I have never seen so much seafood in a Mexican restaurant since Miami. It's almost overwhelming, it's hard not to try multiple things. Decided to stop in to see what the hype is about and I must say they have some good drinking food. Onto the food, as expected it will be a little bit pricer but totally worth it in my opinion. I love how they start you off with ceviche, and I believe it's made with fish. Everything we ordered was super flavorful & loaded! My favorite was the Langostinos & ceviche tower (check photos attached). The Langostinos had such a nice flavor with soooo much garlic. Service was great! I'm going to start by saying that I lived by the Tijuana border all my life so I'm extremely picky with my seafood. First, the young women working the floor are killing it. They are hustling in there, so please treat them well. If they don't get to you right away it's definitely not because they are standing around. Now to the food. They start you off with fish ceviche and chips as a starter. It tastes great and it's a good portion for a sample of food. The ceviche (shrimp) tostada was my favorite. They had all the traditional ingredients which you don't always get with restaurant style ceviche. The portion is what really surprised me. It was a lot of tostada for it being a single portion. It was a lot of shrimp, you definitely do not need two. The shrimp cocktail was good but the consume needed a little something but overall it was good. Again, they did not skimp on the shrimp which most places do. The picture below is of the regular size. I can't even imagine the large size. I was also happy to see traditional saladitas and they also included tostadas without you asking for them. Overall, I would say this place did their job and I will be coming back to try all their other dishes. I wanted to address the loud music some reviewers left. If you have never been to a traditional Mexican establishment, this place is not for you if you do not like loud music. This is typical noise level for a place like this . Normally, you will have live Mariachi or other live music. I don't think people should review the noise level since this is what a traditional restaurant would sound like. read more

This has by far become my favorite Mexican restaurant. I am excited that I only work a few blocks from them. I have ordered several different things including the fish tacos, carne asada, camarones montequilla, fresh guacamole, horchata, and more. All I have to say is wow. So far everything we have ordered has been wonderful, full of flavor, good quality, and did I say wonderful, wow. Service is also great, everyone is friendly, fast, attentive, and just on top of it. I ordered takeout. I was asked to pay over the phone because the amount was high and they don't trust the customer. I was not prepared to pay over the phone but I figured I was going to pay anyways so what difference does it make. My husband picked up the food and said the music was really loud. The food was not the best but was decent. We ordered "langostinos a la diabla" which were over cooked by a lot. The sauce was great but the langostinos were so overcooked it was not good so they ended up in the trash. So sad. We ordered "molcajete frio" it was okay. Something was missing. The scallops and shrimp had not been cured enough in lime and I had trouble eating it. Felt so raw in my mouth. What we absolutely loved were the "empanadas de camaron." These were so good! PNW cuisine is all about seafood so I'm really glad there's a new Mexican restaurant that specializes in it. If you've ever been to Cabo, Mazatlan, and/or Puerto Vallarta they boast, and rightfully so, about their mariscos. El Muchacho Alegre is right off Airport Way in Renton. Since they just opened I could see this place being a hit with the Boeing and Renton Airport workers. The color of the building is turquoise which is fitting since it reflects the color of the ocean and the painting of the Seahawk logo shows their love for our local football team. My friend and I walked in and there was a table with menus, a digital thermometer, and hand sanitizer. Even though we requested our food to go we sat down at a booth. It's a good setting to watch sports as there were TVs at every angle of the restaurant. Probably won't be coming here for game day due to social distancing, but when the appropriate time comes for gatherings I'll probably be here. The large windows also allow for watching planes take off and touch down at the airport. Now it's been years since I took high school Spanish so I used Google Translate for a couple of words. Yes, there's English on the menu and they have pictures too so it wasn't totally intimidating :p I ordered the Molcajete Muchacho Alegre. It's like a seafood boil just like how they do it at Crawfish House but it's their own preparation and recipe. I'm glad I tried it but it's geared towards the 3-4 person crowd. I also ordered the fish tacos and fish ceviche. I would definitely get the fish tacos and ceviche again. Our server was friendly and she made sure the floor was running smoothly. It is very nice addition to our neighborhood. It has plenty of parking. Fun to watch by the window and see all the 737Max at the Renton airport across the street. The staff is cute and friendly. This first visit, I picked up takeout but I am looking forward to dine in post pandemic and enjoy a cold Pacifico beer with my meal. The food was very tasty ( loved that it was not overly salted like you get in other Mexican restaurants) . Great value stands out with the huge portions (more than we could eat). Brought the in-laws for dinner. I assisted with their orders, ordered for them. They wanted tostadas and we were given platters. The in-laws didn't care for the music. We were not given tostadas or lime, the Tapatio lid was not secure and half the bottle had fallen into my food. The Banda was too loud. We couldn't even hear each other. I was looking for small bite to eat around 2pm so decided to try this place. Large place and only one other table being served so I thought they'd appreciate the business. Wrong. 1. Music too loud for comfortable dining. 2. I sat at the bar and it is Waaaay too high to be comfortable. I'm 5'11" and the bar was mid-chest sitting on the stool. 3. Hostess seemed more interested in filling condiment bottles than serving. 4. I ordered a beer and 2 fish tacos. Handed me a can and I had to ask for a glass. 5. I tried to stretch the beer out to enjoy with the taco's. 20 minutes later I finally finished the beer and still no taco's. I think the Hostess checked but didn't say anything to me. 6. 30 minutes, no food yet and hostess never asked me if I wanted another beer. Still very busy filling condiment bottles. 7. I finally told her I can't wait anymore and to make it to go. Another 5 minutes. Ate the taco's at home with the wife. Mediocre at best. I was polite, tipped $3 on an $18 tab. I tried this place for the 1st time this past Sat with couple friends. The live band was way too loud & we couldn't hear ourselves nor the waitress. It was crowded which was a good sign. The service was rather slow but the food was great! It took a while before we could flag someone to refill our empty glass of water & about 30 min to get our bill.
