    1. Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Plate

Boy the prices at the food court has gone up. It's even more important to make a good selection. This was my first time at the Island Grill. I got the Hawaii BBQ chicken. It's #1 so it should be their signature dish. The portions were plenty. They must have put three chicken breast on the place. They were also nice enough to substitute fries instead of the salad options. Unfortunately, it didn't have the flavor which makes you want to go back.

Island Grill had been around for a long time and it is the second time I ate their food. First time was several years ago. I can't remember when but I was super excited to try their Loco Moco. I was a little disappointed because it was not very tasty. Just ordinary food that you don't desire to eat again. Yesterday my friend wanted to try the macaroni salad and the Lau Lau. For our dissatisfaction it was not very good either. If you are looking for the portion size it is definitely a place for you since plates are huge. However the quality of the food is not very good. Honestly I was not very surprised. Just wished it was better. If you are looking to eat a authentic Hawaiian food it is not the place for you.

Island Garlic Fries, $5.99 - 2 Stars - with salty bits of garlic

Island Grill is one of many eateries inside Crossroads Mall's food court. I'm not sure when this eatery opened, but it's our first time eating there. Turns out our priority was correct, as it was a "could have been better" kind of place. I can appreciate someone coming here for portion size and the cost is "ok". Quality vs. quantity - your call. We dined-in, so no drama with ordering and pick up. The lau-lau was ready quickly since it was already made. The fries took longer. About the food court, it's plenty roomy and easy to social-distance since not many people are dining out yet, not even on a Saturday night. It was a bit vibrant but not like before; I noticed lots of take-out orders from some eateries. The Food: Lau-Lau, white rice, choice of mac salad or green salad, $14.50 - 2.5 Stars Menu: Steamed pork and fish wrapped in taro leaves Ding - Only one of the lau lau has fish, not the second one. Poor quality control! Heads-up #1 - Their green salad is the "Classic" style, meaning iceberg lettuce with shreds of carrot and purple cabbage. Ewww. That's not a "green" salad. Heads-up #2 - Mac salad is generously covered in mayo, more than I've seen at any other Hawaiian eatery. If that's your jam, you're at the right place. The lau-lau itself is 3 Stars "ok", just meets expectations. Their good thing is the serving size, which apparently is what they are popular for. 2 good size lau-lau, 2 good size scoops of rice, and the aforementioned gooey mac salad for the price. It could be two meals for somebody. Island Garlic Fries, $5.99 - 2 Stars The Island Garlic Fries is more fries than garlic. I was hoping for ballpark type of garlic fries. The garlic bits/clumps are cooked with (presumably) soy sauce, and they were very salty. Visually, there isn't a lot, or some fell to the bottom. At least the fries are crispy, or else this would have been 1 or 0 Star, Definitely not ordering this again. P.S. The noted prices are when I ordered in person. I noticed the online 3rd party app prices cost tens of cents more, not a huge difference.

Hawaiian BBQ chicken ($10.99) with mac salad

This place is located within the Bellevue Crossroads mall food court next to a bunch of other stalls. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ chicken ($10.99). The chicken itself was really tender and the sauce on top helps with the flavor. It was a little burnt on the bottom which was unfortunate but not terrible. You can choose the side that you like; I chose the macaroni salad which had so much sauce it was uneatable. I only ate half of it and couldn't finish it which really never happens. There was a lot more rice than there was chicken so I couldn't finish that either. Some of my friends ordered burgers and they were also huge portions with tons of fries. I ate a couple fries and thought they were just okay though. It seems this place prioritizes the portions of the food over the quality and the taste of the food. I've only had a couple of other restaurants in the plaza but I imagine that a lot of other stands here would be better options.

    13. BBQ Beef and Kalua Pork Combo Plate
    Josh C.

Came with my mama and she kept saying "man I can make this" and I agree. The taste is not bad but there is nothing special whatsoever. The rice is your typical rice, not the sushi like rice that is usually served at Hawaiian restaurants, the meat is just ok and I am not a fan of the Mac salad. It tastes like water aka nothing. Also tell me why my kalua pork was 70% cabbage (look at pic).

Among the…read morevariety, offerings include pizza, tacos, ramen, salad, poke, burgers, sandwiches and baked goods - definitely something to fit everyone's preferences! Prices here are on the steeper end but this food hall provides an elevated experience compared to your typical food court. It defies the stereotype that one would normally associate with food courts by proving that the term "fast food" shouldn't imply compromised quality nor level of service. The food I've tried here so far has been crafted with fresh ingredients although the flavors have been hit-and-miss. For example, I loved Barrio Luchador's tacos, but the Brawler Burger was a little too salty and oily, while the whole roast duck at Fat and Feathers was quite bland. Service is top-notch! Not only are the employees at each individual eatery friendly and helpful, but there's a wonderful cleaning staff that ensures the entire food hall space is well-kept and spotless. There are are at least a few employees who stroll around gathering empty plates and cups with a smile. I just wish there was room for more seating since during peak lunch time, the food hall becomes packed and it's difficult to find an open table. If unable to find a seat, each of the eateries can pack your food to go. Otherwise, this is a wonderful spot for a quick lunch, catching up with a friend or an informal meeting.

Drank at Dote and eyed the Burger Bar. The HH pizzas are delicious and an excellent quality and price unmatched anywhere I've seen in the area. I enjoyed the mushrooms but would have loved them fresh and not marinated. The kids were very happy with their cheese and pepperoni (contact pizza as she called it). The French bakery next door has an awesome croque madame sandwich with bechemel sauce over the entire thing (I opted for the sauce on the side and they decided to put my cheese on the side too, which was a bad choice I didn't request). The sauce wasn't even warm and I missed my cheese on the sandwich. Next time I'll say easy sauce. They have a super delicious "hot fudge" dessert that is a brownie with a chocolate and cream mousse covered with a few brownie pieces and chocolate ganache. Oh my, I'm a baker and it was delicious! Also very grateful to find a Full Tilt ice cream selection on the east side for the first time! Baby girl was so thankful to find her blue moon front and center at La Baguette. The beer menu draft list at the burger bar was very tempting for my honey, he found a couple of new ones to try. They offer pints up to growlers. Also, my honey loves his lattes at Dote Coffee Bar. They take the time to make plenty of tasty foam for me that's well flavored and decorated with a whole bear face! The quality of food and presentation is outstanding at this food court, and I can't wait to make our way around each "station" so I can speak to all of the various tastes.

The espresso type bevs are just okay, prefer the soft serves. I sure miss the days featuring mango though. Service is expedient. For the price and convenience, it's a treat. Fortunately I did my research and there's a separate dinner menu. We ordered the Korean ramen casserole dish. It was super good and hit the spot. Definitely big enough portion for two people. We ended up with two huge containers to take home so you could stretch it to 4 meals. We ordered an extra side of ramen. But it was super expensive! $50 for spam and ramen! I could easily make this at home and I think I might! I liked the ban Chan. Everything was great - Kim chi fresh, mashed potato's. Wasn't a fan of the fish cakes but it was alright. We also ordered a side of rice cake (teobokki) which honestly I would definitely skip. It was quite chewy still so we had to throw it into the ramen casserole dish. I would skip that one next time. Despite how busy they were, we got seated for two in 10 minutes and the refills for ban Chan was pretty good. I'd come back with a Groupon. But it was definitely super expensive without it!
