Located in a Shell in Bellevue, this place serves up Korean food in a very fast casual setting, takeout only. I got the combo bop with chicken and beef, as well as a small mandoo, both level 3 spicy (scale from 1-10, so just a little spicy). For about $20, it is okay price and unfortunately with inflation, this place is not it in terms of value anymore. It used to be an amazing deal, from what I saw. The mandoo at $5.99+tax is only 3 small pieces, and the combo bop, at $12.99+tax, is mostly japchae, salad, and rice, barely any meat. The japchae is clumped together and a bit on the overcooked side. The sauce is good and does make it easy to consume everything even though it is almost all carbs, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way here. read more

Sometimes you a tiktok video and you're like oooh I should go try this place. I was intrigued by Korean food in a gas station. Honestly, I'm always intrigued by any food in a gas station because honestly- these places are honestly slept on. The Mandu - the flavor itself was great! I was not disappointed with that at all. I was actually surprised with how much I enjoyed it because I wasn't expecting much. My feedback is that the sauce needs to served on the side. Considering the fact that this is a to go joint only, the reheat factor is high. I could easily reheat mandu in the air fryer if the sauce was not on these. In fact, the sauce makes these less crispy immediately and takes away from the experience. My son and I both got a combo O'BOP with bulgogi and pork and the meat was SKIMPY and so was the jap chae. The bowl was filled with rice. And the rice was hard. Like it needed to be cooked more. So because of this, we couldn't eat our bowls. And when I spend almost $30 on food that I can't even eat, I get pretty disappointed. We did eat the little bit of meat on top but I tell you, it was 1oz if that. So little. I read through other reviews to see if this was a factor for others but it just seems their food is inconsistent because someone else complained of soggy rice. I've heard of this place through social media and drive by O'BOP once and a while, so I finally took the chance to try them out today for lunch. It's located inside a gas station convenient store and you order through the gas station cashier. There's no seating, so it's strictly takeout. I ordered the B-Bop which is a BBQ beef marinated in bulgogi sauce. All the ingredients are stacked on top of each other, from the sauce-covered meat on top to the glass noodles and vegetables below, and in the final layer the rice. The meat itself is just okay, but I found it a little bit dry. The sauce does help though and add more flavour to the meat. My favourite part of the dish was the glass noodles, it was really delicious. And for the bottom part where the rice is, it was also a little dry and there was so much of it. I think the ratio of the bowl could be changed, there wasn't much bbq beef inside but there was so much rice. Big imbalance I would say. You should probably mix the bowl when eating this too. I like the concept of kbbq in a bowl, but in my opinion the bowl is a work in progress. Not bad coming from the gas station though, and the bowl was pretty big too. read more

I usually skip giving bad reviews but I'm so over Seattles tendency to accept sub mediocrity as a 4 star rating. I've eaten at gas station gems before, this is far from one. I paid $16.50 for the B Bop. The beef was below average, the meal was barely lukewarm, rice and noodles were mid.. Maybe it was an off day, but it's beyond me how this food has +4 stars. All I'd expect from a gas station setting is tasty food at a reasonable price, no glitz or glamour. My meal had none of the above, though I suppose 16.50 is cheap for a meal in Bellevue. Came across this place accidentally. I stopped by to pump gas & had to try it. I was delighted. I got the noddle bop 8 stars & my goodness! WOW, it was spicy. Typically in my experience people will say its spicy but not to my liking. This one was over board. Totally not their fault. It was delicious. They ask for a Spice Level when you order and please be cautious of the spice rating. We love Spicy food and spice rating for 7 was the perfect spice level, anything more would have been difficult! The Chi Bop is stir fried chicken which is doused with min of 4-5 sauces on a bed of rice, thin noodles and salad. I randomly stumbled upon this place while looking for a gas station. I love Korean rice bowls so I had to try it! I got the combo bop with the chicken and beef with 6 stars spicy level. So good! So yummy! I love the sauce and all the textures. There was japchae with it too. There was only one guy working but he prepared it pretty fast and he was friendly. Such a unique little operation. This little restaurant is located inside of a convenience store at a gas station. So weird! But cool and different which I always like. The korean woman who served us was very nice and joyful. She prepared our food quickly and clearly efficiently. There is a cute screen by the order counter that says how great their bowls are and how healthy... super cute. We sat outside and ate at the little bistro tables provided. Our view was the gas pumps. Haha. All 3 of us really enjoyed our bowls. Having japchae noodles with rice was a bit odd to me at first, but it really worked! I would definitely recommend OBop, if you like Korean food but lack the time to sit down to get the full experience...this is where it's at. They have a variety of bowls to suit your palate. My favorite would be the Galbi Bowl (not the exact name) it's just super yummy. They are also very quick to get you your order so you have time to eat and back to the office. It's pretty affordable (around $10 +tax for one bowl), the portions are just right, and the owners and workers are super nice. Each bowl usually comes with white rice, sweet potato noodles, lettuce, your choice of meat or tofu/veggies, and their sauces. The sauces are savory, sweet, and spicy depending on the spice level you choose. The noodles are so soft and chewy, and when you mix everything altogether it's super creamy and tasty. You can also pay extra for extra meat too which is very tempting lol. Just so so good!! Best place for a quick lunch or takeout dinner nights. I think about going to get some every week lol. I ordered the combo beef & pork. Came with some japchae, fresh veggies/salad on a bed of hot steamed white rice. You can choose spiciness level from 1 to 10, and me being a spicy food lover, ordered a 10. It was legit spicy! Yummy! The combo of meat, japchae, lettuce and rice, all mixed together with the delicious spicy sauces, satisfied my taste buds and filled my hungry tummy. Size was just right, small/medium compared to a typical meal, but plenty enough for me. Possibly could feed me 1.5-2 times (note: I am small and short) but I was super hungry & was sitting outside in the cold so I finished it. It is also very reasonably priced for this portion. To top it off, the lady serving the food was so very nice and sweet! She started off the conversation while packing the food, saying how cold it is today (around 45F right now). When she asked if I wanted a bag, I said no because I was going to sit outside and eat right away (they offered a couple of small tables and chairs outside the Shell mini mart). Coming here was a complete accident today and I'm glad it happened. Was getting gas here and Didn't realize there was a Korean restaurant here so wanted to check it out. First you have to go inside the shell store to order (don't let the truck in the front of the store fool you). You also order at the same place you pay for gas (I know, it's confusing). Do you know what else is confusing? The people making dish aren't Korean! -based on all of that, I was already doubtful...But still decided to give a try any ways. I got the sweet potatoes noodle dish with spicy level #8 (10 is the spiciest). While waiting for my food, I caught a glimpse of the lady making my bowl (it was huge), she was putting a bunch of this sauces on top of noodle and then gave me it with a cap. When I saw it, I had to do a double take and make sure I ordered the right thing, where is the rice? Where is the salad? I thought there's just suppose to be sweet soy sauce, what's with the other sauces?? I was going to ask, but they seem busy, so I was like whatever and left. Once I was ready, I opened it, I started mixing it and realized that the rice and salad was at the bottom and the other sauces we're my level 8 spicy. So after mixing everything, I finally taste it and OMG, it was like what the hell! I did not expect that everything was so balanced. The spicy sauces did not overpower the soy sauce, and everything tasted so well together. The rice can be a hit or miss with people, some people might say it's dry, but with the sauce, it was fine. *FOOD POISONING!* I will be reporting them to the department of health in the morning. Came about 1 pm for lunch after seeing a glowing review on Evening Magazine. Simple menu. Meat plus rice plus salad. Or just noodles with salad and sweet soy. Or dumplings. I took pictures and was going to post the menu but I don't recommend you go here so you don't even need to look at that. First and foremost, they made the two bowls mine was the spicy pork and my coworker was just noodles and put in mayonnaise sauce on top without it being on the menu. Neither one of us can eat that. I had to ask for her to redo the bowls, which she did very quickly obviously the meat was already cooked noodles were already cooked the rice was already cooked and the salad was shredded iceberg lettuce. The noodles which were stated to be sweet potato noodles tasted like rice thread noodles with absolutely no flavoring. My spicy pork was tasting pretty good, I moved the noodles to the side and finish the meat with the rice and the iceberg. Around 6 PM as I was driving home on the 520 bridge things started to go very very wrong. My stomach had swollen as if I eaten a personal watermelon whole, my bowels were grumbling and I generally had a cold sweat going knowing that I had been poisoned. Thank goodness I made it home before the onslaught... TBH I've eaten some sketchy stuff in my life, and had some indigestion, green feeling, nausea, whatnot. Chalk it up to adventurous eating. This was a violent episode that I will probably never be able to eat this particular dish ever again. Darn. (Think your college Jäegermeister/Fireball blackout disaster). No. Don't. Nothing beats good Korean food at a gas station. The bowls are on the pricier side but it's worth every penny. I always get the beef bowl with extra meat and request loads of sauce!
