Love this to go setup! Chef kiss

5 stars for the food - 4 stars for the number not working to order. I was able to get through after a few spamming calls - felt like a robo caller lowkey. But, when I tell you it was worth the calling and waiting. The flavors were on point. I never had this style of food so I was a bit confused on how/what to eat/pair so I just went for it. The serving size is huge & shareable for sure. I loved the way the food was set up to go with the tray and the branding. It was clean & they provided all of the utensils which was a bonus! It's Inside of Shaburina so just call ahead, pop in & pick up like your an uber eats driver, haha.

Bulgogi bowl
Helene L.

Deopbab- sub restaurant take out only inside hot pot restaurant Tips: call in and order ahead. Food was good- we got 4 of the 6 Deopbab and my favorite was the bulgogi. Each bowl comes with soup (clear broth with fried rice puffs, cabbage salad with sesame dressing, Kim chi and pickled sides. Plenty to eat- comprehensive meal. * Katsu one stay hot and crispy on top even after a 20 min drive home. *Joul- was alright, prefer it with the kimchi friendly rice. Presentation is awesome. Though it makes me sad all the waste and product used. Service: unable to comment. I went during an event and service was slow. No stars taken as this was off event I imagine. Parking: street parking, or garage. Garage had some construction in the hallway, so I had to walk around building to get back to car. Ambiance: take out only. Value- fair. Averaging $20 total per bowl after taxes. Came with variety of items. Recommend- yes, if you're in the area and looking for casual comprehensive meal.

Chicken Mayo Deopbab 치킨마요덮밥

Was a little confused where it was located (inside the hotpot place), but called and the host was really nice and helped me locate it. The food came out in a timely manner and it was a big portion size, very tasty

The story behid The Deopbab is very interesting , it was created during the pandemic with a special menu for delivery only: bowl rice, and is now operating within Shaburina for lunch only (to go) So that's why it's a little bit confusing not seeing a huge "DEOPBAB" sign but Shaburina instead. It's located in Redmond next to Microsoft in this new condo area and new retail . Parking is quite easy, either on the street or there's free retail parking. I had to wait 30 mins for my order to be ready (so keep that in mind, before showing up to pick up your food) The meal was so yummy!! Rice bowl was juicy and the meat was beautifully cooked. I also order a chicken pan seared, similar to chicken nuggets but I'd stick to the bowl rice. It's a complete and delicious meal. I'm definitely coming back to try the buffet at Shaburina

Kimchi Fried Rice, $18, add tofu, $1.20 - 3 Stars

The Deopbab is the rebirth of a take-out only rice bowl dish that the team at Shaburina created during the pandemic to keep their business afloat. When the AYCE hotpot business restarted, they stopped these takeouts. Per customer requests, they are bringing back these rice bowls for lunch time takeout only and giving it a separate identity - The Deopbab. Every bowl is sold as a set. They all mostly about $20 a piece. When I called to place the order, they gave me a time estimate; I purposely arrived late to give them more time. Service is fine, no issue. The interior, which is Shaburina, is a cute place. Chadol (Brisket) Deopbab, $19 - 4.5 Stars Menu: stir-fired thinly sliced beef brisket, onions, and scallion in chef's special sweet soy sauce on rice topped with a fried egg. This dish is sweetly savory, good for folks who like the sukiyaki flavor. The beef brisket is tender. It reminds me of a beef donburi, maybe a sukiyaki beef donburi with the veggie mixture. It's a good dish. Kimchi Fried Rice, $18, add tofu, $1.20 - 3 Stars The bowl is very hefty, loaded with the kimchi rice. The rice is too wet. They should be a bit drier, so it's not a giant clump that I need to dig into. After eating soup, some of the salad, and most of the banchan (see below), I only ate the egg on top and a fifth of the bowl. This is a very carb-heavy dish that will easily last me another 1+ day especially if I add veggies to it when reheating. Each order/bowl is served with: - a side salad with sesame dressing. The salad is finely shredded cabbage, same as the style served at a local katsu restaurant. - a light clear broth soup with tempura crumbles (I don't think it is miso.) - two banchan sides, which was kimchi and pickled veggies. Both are good, especially the latter. Everything is packaged in a take-out tray and custom-sized bag. I am conflicted because I think it is a nifty design, but it is a lot of garbage and recycling. If I lived nearby, I would want to give them back the tray and save some tree.

Beef brisket bowl. Includes soup, salad, pickled vegetables, kimchi

Super deluxe takeout. Walking back into my office, carrying an entire TRAY (in a nice plastic bag) full of food for myself, you wouldn't believe the swagger I was imbued with. I was seriously the coolest kid on the block. Ordering from this place is like getting into a speakeasy. You gotta know the secret code. Apparently even the number listed online is wrong. Here is their actual number: 425-658-7185. You can thank me later. "Deopbab" is located inside of Shaburina, but there is no signage or anything. You just have to know that it exists, find the secret phone number online, and whisper the password "Deopbab" to the host. They will give you a knowing nod and then take you to the checkout stand in the back corner. Each order comes with the rice bowl, salad, soup, pickled vegetables, and kimchi. All the sides were fine, but nothing beats the braised sweet potatoes, potato salad, and fish cakes from KBBQ restaurants. The best part of the sides was how they contributed to the aura of luxury. Taking each side out of the tray, unboxing them one by one, it reminded me of opening 5 Christmas presents in a row as a child. The meat of the meal, the rice bowl, was great. Super addicting sauced up rice, delectable egg with yolk that flowed so picturesque when I punctured it with my spoon, and super thin beef brisket that begs you to put too much into your mouth at once. And how good it smelled during the drive back from the restaurant to my office. Everything is neatly packed into a paper tray and placed inside a spacious plastic bag. The only oddity I found was no utensils and napkins were included, so if you plan to eat this outside then make sure you ask for some. Overall very satisfied with this experience. But it is a bit pricy, especially considering it's a takeout lunch. After tax and tip you're looking at almost $25. Very solid choice for a nicer lunch once in a while though, especially if you don't have the time for KBBQ.

I love to try different foods and these Korean Comfort Rice Bowls at Deopbab are wonderful. I came here for a Yelp Elite Experience and we ordered a Kimchi Fried Rice Bowl for my son. After waiting at the front with no one to help us I eventually found the lone worker fervently assembling orders off to the right side inside the Hot Pot restaurant. The worker was very busy and told us up front it would be about 45 minutes for our orders to be ready. I expected it to be busy and was prepared to run an errand while we waited for our food so it turned out okay. My son liked his Kimchi Fried Rice Bowl with Spam and the sides of salad, soup and toppings that accompanied it. When we picked up our order about an hour later, the sole employee was very thankful and apologized for the delay. My only knock is that the poor sole employee out front could really use some help. She was working nonstop and easily could have used a couple more people to help out or at least greet the customers up front.

Pork jowl
Huong L.

In pretty disappointed with this place because I really want to like it since I been seeing it on Instagram so much and it looks good. The review is solely on the food as I will rate the service and experience on the shaburina side... I ordered the pork jowl rice bowl and the presentation looks good (see pictures). For $20 (after tax) you get a rice bowl, a soup, a side of picked veggie and a cabbage slaw. - pickled veggies -- probably the best thing on this platter, refreshing, fresh and crunchy Cabbage slaw --- standard, nothing out of the ordinary Miso soup??? -- not sure what kind of soup but it got overly salty and the little rice puff thingy didnt do anything but it made it mushy and texture was weird. They might have made this first and let it sit around so the rice puff already lost its crispiness when it got to us but it was very distracting since there was a lot of it. Main entree -- rice bowl. Overly sauced, like VERY overly sauced. Not sure if I came on an off day, but it was bad. The pork itself was overly cooked so it's extra crispy and dry and you need to eat something with it or it doesn't taste good but the rice is overly sauced so it doesn't help. My husband and I usually finish all of our food or take it home of we are too full but we weren't full and we left this one half eaten...which is very disappointing to me

Pork Jowl Deopbab, Chadol (Brisket) Deopbab, Chicken Karaage, and Yuzu Soda
Smaly K.

My bf and I came here to grab lunch. And although it didn't seem busy, it was a bit of a wait for our food. Staff was very friendly. I'd want to come dine in for lunch sometime here in Shaburina (The Deopbab is located in Shaburina) or try more items from The Deopbab's menu, since I had really wanted to try the Kimchi Fried Rice, but it wasn't available because they were out of kimchi. We got the Chadol (Brisket) Deopbab and the Pork Jowl Deopbab. We also got Chicken Karaage, and wanted the Flaky Chive Pancake, but they didn't have that either. And we got the Yuzu Soda (free with Yelp check-in). Everything was tasty, and I liked how it came with all the little sides.

Delicious food, amazingly packaged for takeaway. Bowl comes with soup, salad, kimchi. All in a nice container to prevent spillage. Place was hopping at 2pm on Thursday. Nice ambiance.

Located inside Shaburina, it was easy to order and pickup. It was a lot of food and I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. We got a brisket bowl and the mayo chicken. Mayo chicken has a very thin egg between it and the rice. Brisket bowl was tasty with tender, thin strips. Kim chee could be spicier but the pickled jalapeños were good. Overall, we loved it and plan to go back soon!

Brisket bowl with all the fixings
Steven E.

Deopbab is near the new Microsoft adjacent area in Redmond. The brisket bowl comes with salad, soup, and Kimchee. Flavors abound with the tender brisket and cooked onions with sweeter sauce over rice. The salad has a sesame dressing and a miso like soup. This is definitely a place I need to go

Brisket meal! So much food, great for a lunch combo
Krystal L.

Each meal has soooo much food! Perfect for a lunch combo. Only thing to note is that the beef brisket bowl is really sweet but they LOAD IT UP with the fatty beef slices, so yummy. I just wish it was a tad less sweet for the meats. The salad that came with the meal was also delish, loved the dressing. The staff here are so nice and the service is amazing!

For a group of four adults with a normal hungry, we ordered a small beef set and fried chicken, which was plenty. The banchan was fantastic, especially the Myungranjut. Although we didn't order any dishes that made use of the advanced tabletop, I still think it's so cool! Despite the tables also having a digital kiosk, I appreciated how they still handed us actual menus and manually took our order, both of which are becoming less common these days. Our group started with some hot tea and ordered three dishes which was the perfect amount to share. We loved each item and I enjoyed tasting the various banchan side dishes (included with most main menu items): broccoli, traditional kimchi, omelet, potato, salad and kimchi cucumbers. I can be picky about kimchi, but this one had an ideal balance between tartness, spice, slight sweetness and umami. Their kimchi cucumbers were also a hit as they were refreshing with a tantalizing heat. + SEAFOOD PANCAKE ($25): My first time having a seafood pancake and it won't be my last! It was hot right off the pan with a crispy golden exterior. The seafood included baby shrimp, baby octopus and calamari. It seemed like the portion of seafood was reasonable since I had some in almost every bite, however I don't recall seeing much shrimp... mostly calamari and octopus. They added a lot of green onion, which I personally liked as it gave the pancake an element of freshness. This came with a side of soy dipping sauce, but I enjoyed it as is. The portion size was generous for the three of us. + KIMCHI BEEF TOFU SOUP ($22): This soup was basically a comforting hug in a stone pot. It arrived at our table, still bubbling, with a small bowl of rice. While there wasn't a ton of beef in the soup, the pieces were lean and tender and there was enough to split between the three of us. I loved the smooth silky tofu, and the kimchi gave the soup a little tang. Adding a scoop of rice into my personal bowl and pouring the soup on top made for perfect bites as the grains absorbed the broth. We requested a medium spice level which was just right for me. + HOT POT BI-BIM-BAP w/ CHICKEN ($25): You can't go wrong with this dish! Carrots, radish, zucchini, bean sprouts, spinach and a raw egg topped the bed of rice along with our protein choice of chicken. We stirred in the egg immediately and I enjoyed all the fresh vegetables in the bowl. The chicken was delicious as well and seemed to have a slightly sweet marinade. The best part is the little bites of rice that crisped up against the side of the bowl, adding some toasty notes and texture. We forgot to drizzle on some of the red chili sauce provided with the dish, so I'll need to do that next time! The three of us had a terrific dinner here and the service is so kind. We were checked on three times, which surpassed my expectations. We came for an early dinner on Sunday, so it was relatively quiet, even shortly after 6:00P. Even if the restaurant was full, the tables are spaced comfortably apart and I noticed they even had a separate section that is walled off for a larger group. Parking is also easy, running right alongside the neighboring walking trail. Needless to say, I'll be back!

Our family took advantage of the chicken's ability to maintain their crispiness, even for carry-out. It was OK, though a little confusing. Once we settled on KFC for dinner, our hosts (daughter and son-in-law) suggested carryout from 'The Third Place', which was a little out of the way from where we were. It is the Third restaurant opened by the owner, all Seattle area locations known for her KFC (Shin Sung Korean restaurant with Underground Kitchen and the since closed Yeon's Chicken). The chicken was ordered beforehand, and because it is prepared fresh when ordered, it took a bit of time for the order to be complete. There is a limited amount of sauce choices, so we chose Honey Garlic ($23.99) and the classic Yangnyum ($23.99), both marked as Whole Chicken size. Also a side order of french fries ($7.99) completed the order. The fries were good: nice and hot, heavily battered potatoes, providing a nice amount of carbs to go with the fried chicken. The chicken came with pickled radish (chicken-mu) which for me is a must, and it was good. In terms of the chicken, they were all wings, which isn't what I expected: getting the breast and thigh pieces chopped into bite-size pieces, battered and sauced, is what makes it KFC, vs all wings which is more like a Buffalo wing restaurant. So we still got the expected 14 pieces, but they were all wings (flats and drums). I thought the sauces were fine (intentionally ordered mild), and the chicken did maintain a crunch (though not as shattering as the best we've had).
