I've passed this place so many times on weekends when it's closed and finally got to try it during the week! The prices look expensive, but I was surprised by the quantity of food I was given! I ordered a plate cuz I wanted to try a lot of stuff without having to make decisions, but the person in front of me ordered a beef bowl and it seemed chipotle style and the bowl was huge(!) and the amount of meat was quite a bit as well. I really like the flavors of all the items, and I especially liked their kimchi and next time I want Korean food during lunch on a weekday I'll be back! Walked in about 3 pm last Monday and as much as I wanted this place to deliver, it did not. The food portion is adequate, not too much or too little. The beef was good and had a good flavor. The rest of the plate sadly left a lot to be desired. If I compare their bowls to Seoul Bowl, I think the latter wins, Then there's the staff on shift that day. When I walked in there wasn't anyone else and the employees were in a corner talking, I could tell they saw me but it took them around 10 minutes to acknowledge me. In fact if it wasn't for a male staff that came from the back those two would have probably continued talking. To make matters worse, once they did acknowledge me, the younger female employee with glasses was very rude. I told her it was my first time and asked for recommendations and she completely ignored my ask just moving on to the next thing to pick. Look I get it, the gossip was probably good but it doesn't justify being rude to a customer, especially when that is the first impression of the place. Needless to say I will probably not be returning. I was trying places to take my family to when they visit the area and it's safe to say I won't be taking them here. Nice place to grab lunch on a work day. There's some indoor seating available and the staff are quite nice. The service is pretty quick too. Beef Lunch Box: Wasn't sure what to get so I opted for the Beef Lunch Box. It came in a box with a variety of sides + an extra smaller box for the base (rice, salad, etc). This place is difficult to stop by if you don't work in the Bellevue area. They only open during lunch time Monday through Friday. My husband was on vacation so I asked him to stop by hahahaha. Parking is not great as it aim for people taking the bus at the transit center. We ended up getting the tofu bowl (half the protein + 6 sides). For around $15, it was a good portion. The tofu was cooked differently from other places, it was crispy on the outside but sooo fluffy on the inside and the crispy was different too. I really enjoyed it. The sides was definitely fresh and of high quality. For the sides, we got the crab salad, seaweed salad, broccoli,corn, kimchi, and edamame. We also added an egg for an extra $1.5. overall, if I work in the area I would definitely come here more often. Haha, love the pun name Bowl Gogi! This is pretty much the Korean Chipotle where you pick your base and go down the assembly line with your choice of protein, toppings, and sauces. You can also add an egg at no extra cost. They many meat options and even tofu for vegetarians! This is more of a lunch time thing since they close kind of early and is only open Monday to Friday, it's located next to the transit center which is convenient for people passing by and working around here. If you drive like me, you can park at the city center garage, I believe it's $6 for an hour of parking, this restaurant is located right outside the entrance of one of the doors once you get upstairs from the garage. It's under $20 for a bowl, portion is pretty big so I say this should last for 2 meals. Restaurant is really clean, I love this concept. Picked up lunch from this place on a weekday. Service was quick. I got the spicy pork lunch box and it was pretty good. I liked how there was a lot of variety in the dishes inside. The volume of food was pretty good too. I think my favorite was the pork since it was well seasoned and tender. I didn't like the kimchi too much but I think they tend to be hit or miss with me since I like to have more pickled kimchi rather than just spicy kimchi. Didn't like the egg too much but I tend not to like egg items so I won't hold it against them. Bowl Gogi is right next to the Bellevue Transit center, where the buses pull through. Bowl Gogi is only open from Monday through Friday. So if you work around the area, it's a no-brainer. Unfortunately for me, I meal prep for the week, so haven't been able to visit as often as I'd like. The few times I didn't have food prepared, I got extra excited because that meant I had a legit reason to go to Bowl Gogi. This place is solid. Got there right around 11:10 for an early lunch. No one in line. Score! Only had a second to check out the menu, and they basically sold bowls with meat and veggies, where you pick the veggies and sauce at a counter, Subway-style (except not crappy). I got: white rice, spicy pork, carrots, daikon radish, bean sprouts, and pickled onions - topped with "make me cry" sauce, which is apparently the spiciest one they have (they said it was spicier sriracha). Sold! It was about $11, which is a decent value for Bellevue lunch. They packaged it up in a bowl with a lid for transport and gave me some napkins and chopsticks to go with it. When I got it to my office, it was still piping hot (the lid = awesome). The whole bowl was perfect. It was on the lighter side (being mostly vegetables and rice), which i appreciate. It had a ton of rice - probably too much, but better safe than sorry, i guess. The spicy pork was super tender and seasoned well. The "make me cry" sauce wasn't overwhelming - probably a hair spicier than sriracha. All the vegetables tasted fresh and balanced out the heavy/spicy pork. Overall... I have zero complaints. What a great spot for a casual Korean lunch bowl! I checked out Bowl Gogi for a late lunch and was immediately greeted the minute I stepped inside. The staff asked if it was my first time visiting, which I explained was, so they briefly went over the build-your-own-bowl concept and options with me. I was set. I know we can't stop talking about the snow in Seattle, but I was craving something warming since I was so cold from the weather. I saw that they offer curry bowls, so when I asked the employee about it, she offered to give me a sample of the curry, which sold it for me. I chose the spicy pork for my protein with brown rice and chose broccoli, bean sprouts and kimchi for my three complimentary sides (additional sides for a fee). When I went to check out the employee asked if I like spicy foods (since I chose the spicy pork) and recommended that I try their housemade "make me cry" spicy sauce. It was on! Food was yummy! The curry bowl was just what I needed on a chilly day. Curry sauce had a great flavor and added warmth and a heartiness to the meal. Spicy pork was solid. It was tender, yet I wished it had been more marinated in the spicy sauce they used since it added such great flavor. And everything else in the bowl was good. My favorite side was the kimchi, of course! I did like the "make me cry" hot sauce, adding a great kick to my lunch and would recommend for any spicy fans to try it. For first-time visitors they also hand you a stamp card with two stamps, as a way to welcome you. Bowl Gogi is a welcomed addition to Bellevue. We don't have a lot of Korean options in the area and though this just gives you a taste of it, the casual concept where you can customize your own bowl is accommodating and guarantees satisfaction. It's in my work building so decided to give it a try- not busy when I was there, staff wasn't welcoming and didn't really explain the menu. I couldn't hear whenever they ask about veggie options. I got the beef curry - wayyyy too much curry sauce, and they give you another small cup with extra sauce in it. There were so much sauce/liquid that I feel like I was drinking a rice congee. $13-$14 after tip I would say its on the pricier side. Big portion, it's definitely filling. Bowl Gogi is kind of hard to find if you haven't been before or don't know the area well. The restaurant is located near the transit station in Bellevue Downtown but my GPS navigated me to the roundabout for the building that Bowl Gogi is next to. I ended up just parking in the garage for the adjacent building which gives you 10 free minutes (after that it's $5) but that's not enough time to go and get your food. The employee told me that if you park in the garage directly underneath their building, you'll get 15 free minutes. I'm not sure if there's any near by street parking but just know that you'll have to pay for parking if there isn't street parking. Aside from the parking logistics, this place has pretty good food! I stopped in during my lunch break and got back to the office with 5 minutes to spare for eating so they aren't too busy. I've never seen a Korean food place that operates like a poke/select your options place before so that was nice not to have to wait for your food to cook! I would definitely recommend the 6toppings option. All the extra veggies make the dish worth a try :) read more

This place is as good as everyone says! And that's a hard thing to live up too. I've been on a search for the perfect bibimbap ever since Oma Bap left Bellevue (don't judge me, it was pretty good). This place is better. The food quality is better and the taste is so fresh and delicious. I got the beef bimbimbap ($12.50) and man do they load you up on the beef! The sides are amazing too - my favorite is the pickled veggies (cabbage and cucumbers). Everything is super customizable if you're into that. The employees here are super pleasant and helpful - and not to mention quick! I got in line during the lunchtime rush about ten people back and it took less than three minutes for me to be ordering and on my way. The main reason why I like this dish so much is because of the many different flavors and textures that when combined, you'll get this glorious and colorful "mash". It was my first time tasting this dish without the beloved spinach but with edamame added. It was not bad. Still full of flavor and if you like the edamame crunch.... then this is the place for you. I really enjoyed coming here, so much I came twice in one week with friends. The lady at the cash register always greeted my group with a cheerful smile. Upon learning that it's one of my friends' first time, she gave us double stamps on the punch card. You get one free bowl with every 12 stamps. My favorite is to get bolgogi beef with mushrooms as one of the toppings. I like how every topping has been flavored. The bibimbap also is really good. Chipotle-style of assemble as you head towards the cash register works surprisingly well here. The bowl was incredibly satisfying and flavourful. The clean casual restaurant was busy during lunch time the weekday I came by but it was easy to find a seat as most people seemed to be getting their food to-go. Parking in the building was not validated--and parking my car for less than 2 hr cost $9. I'd come back if I worked within walking distance of this place but since I don't, it is unlikely I'll come again as it was impossible to find free parking within a reasonable walking distance and they don't provide free parking for customers. read more

Nice surprises all around. From the photos on yelp, the bowls didn't look very big so I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough content. But I was pleasantly surprise about the quantity and left with a full belly. The amount of meat given was very generous. I feel ungrateful complaining about this (and i normally don't) but I thought there was too much meat. It'd have a better balance if there were more veggie sides (bibimbap is too much lol) because just like eating kbbq, I ended up feeling really "stuffy". But besides that, it overall tasted pretty good. The large windows create a spacious feel. Also the minimalistic interior and rap/pop music make this place very modern. The ladies working there were nice and gentle, which was kinda the opposite of the vibe of the place. Can choose to eat at tables or the "bar seating" looking outside which is quite nice. This place is very considerate in the fact that there's self-serve stations with ice water, hot tea, sauces in little cups, and utensils. My co-worker and I decided to try a bowl for lunch, and tried to go before 12pm. I've heard a lot of people saying good things about the place, and that it also gets busy around lunch time, which is every other place around here during lunch. You create your own bowl (or choose one of their options) starting with the base, protein, up to 3 add-ins (more will be an additional cost), sauce, and then toppings. Instead of having a few workers on the table as an assembly line, there were four workers there with each of their own section at the table so that they could have four customers at one time. The bowls are $10 if you choose chicken breast, pork, or tofu as your protein, and $11 for beef. It's a good amount for the price for the area. Staff is very friendly; would definitely come here again to grab lunch. read more

Came here for lunch with a group of coworkers and we all agreed it's a solid lunch option. Everyone could find something that suited their taste or diet.
