    Grilled Pork with Vermicelli Noodles

The service was quick and the food was amazing! I went here during the lunch hour and it wasn't as crowded as previous reviews stated. The food was amazing and is filling especially for the price.

I ordered a tofu banh mi sandwich and there's TWO HAIRS!! One is so long !!! So gross . Upset bc I didn't realize till after I took a few bites

Pretty good Vietnamese place located near the Bellevue transit center. Prices are a few dollars higher than most Vietnamese places in Seattle, but pretty standard for Bellevue. I got the pork bahn mi sandwich. It had too much bread. I would suggest to hollow out the French bread a little bit to allow more vegetables to fit. The pork was good but not super special or as flavorful as the ones I've had in International District or University District. Probably the best and only bahn mi available in Bellevue, but if you can, get it in Seattle for cheaper and tastier.

N5. Bun Dac Biet (Thit,Tom,Nem)- Special rice noodles combination with

    - Good location, but the food is pretty ordinary - Food: 3 stars Price: 3 stars Service: 3 stars Ambiance: 2 stars Overall: 2.75 stars Food: I ordered N5. Bun Dac Biet (Thit,Tom,Nem) for $9.95 (w/o tax), which is like almost $11 after tax. It's a special rice noodles combination with pork, shrimp, and meatball. There are 3 grilled shrimps, 5 meatballs, and like 2 pieces of grilled pork. There were some cucumbers at the side, and a lot of rice noodles (not the thin type of rice vermicelli that they usually use, but a thicker type of rice noodle). Then underneath the rice noodle, there were herbs and bean sprouts. The taste is alright since it's a safe dish, but I think my friends enjoyed their Pho (vietnamese beef noodle soup) as well. Price: With a price of close to $11, I think I expect a bit more. But oh well, it's in downtown Bellevue... what can you expect? haha.. Service: The were actually not much service.. It was our first time there, but nobody said anything for like 1 minute.. There were a table full of Chinese and they were all looking at us since we were discussing what to order in Mandarin. It was actually pretty rude and uncomfortable, but then old people usually don't care what others think so they just do whatever -.-!! After standing there for a minute, the cashier told us we can just order first then go find a seat... well yeah, you could have told me one minute ago... The only service that you will receive at the restaurant is that they will give you your dish from the kitchen, and they'll clean up the table after you leave... so.. I think whether you tip them or not is up to you. I did it, but I felt like it's more like a take out kind of restaurant since you need to refill water on your own as well. Ambiance: The ambiance was quite weird because there were people coming in to get water, then leaves... I don't know if that's normal, but the cashier seemed to be pretty awkward as well when he tried to greet them... There weren't many people talking either, like everyone was just busy eating.. It's probably like the best place for a quick lunch or if you wanna order anything to go... Overall: I might come again to order their sandwiches to go since it's a safe dish as well, but I probably won't come here to eat again unless I pass by there and I feel lazy to go somewhere else to eat.

I've been able to try a few more of their items here, and they aren't too bad. I do like their rice plates, and their sandwiches with the grilled pork or meatballs are pretty good. The fresh rolls aren't too bad, not the best, but I'd still eat them. And the staff is friendly.

I haven't been to a Pho Cyclo since years ago with their Sodo location. I recall thinking that it was expensive and not quite as tasty as some International District haunts I frequent. This is their newest location and a bit hard to find (their sign is not well hung and they are in one of the many buildings in downtown Bellevue). They are definitely busy during the lunch rush and the setup is a little unique. You pick a table, grab your own utensils and then step up to the counter to order. You are then brought your food via the # you leave on your table. We were waiting on my sister who was running late and approached by a staff member who rudely asked us why we haven't ordered yet. This rubbed me a little wrong as we were obviously waiting on someone (not just people who loiter). The food was on the spendy side ($7.84 for a bowl of bun thit nhuong). The pricing was also a bit odd with the strange price endings ($3.45, etc). Our food arrived fairly quickly although I did have to track someone down to get an additional bowl of fish sauce. They do not come back to check on you at all until you are done with your meal. Wasn't the best food I ever had but not the worst.

This was on a Friday night at almost 6pm and my friend and I came in to a nearly empty interior that filled up throughout our stay. Is it just dinnertime that time or were my friend and I bringing in the crowds? You'll enjoy a very clean and well-kept restaurant with clean tables and chairs, with lighting that's very little but lights up the whole place well. Menu has a lot of offerings (both regular and vegetarian) but since it's dinnertime I decided on a rice dish as usual. I got their beef short ribs rice dish, which has their usual marinated short ribs with a fried egg and veggies. I actually liked how they offered their rice in a separate bowl, and everything else on one plate... which means the meat almost covered my whole plate! By the way, my friend got their grilled pork chop rice dish, and the meat also almost completely covered his plate. Both our meats were marinated so well and held in so much flavor, and came off their bones easily. We both agreed the grilled beef short rib dish I ordered was the winner because of the bolder and more defined marinated taste of the meat. I've tried so many Vietnamese restaurants and almost exclusively get their beef short ribs rice on the first visits of them, but this is the first time I've seen meat portions this huge for a rice dish. I'm thinking of coming back here for another visit even if I have to deal with the tight parking plaza this place is close to.

Square Lotus offers an extensive choice of dishes. This visit we ordered the tropical fresh rolls and the pork on skewers, along with banh xeo The banh xeo was really nice and crispy. The only 2 drawbacks. for me was ... instead of pork belly, they use chicken, i think white meat cause the meat is very dry. The second is they don't offer a lot of fresh herbs with this dish. Just some cilantro and one small branch of Thai basil Next time i order this i will definitely ask for pork belly instead of chicken in my banh xeo. Definitely recommend you trying this restaurant. BTW, the offer an extensive amount of vegetarian dishes

The staff were friendly and polite - and they graciously accommodated my peanut allergy, and quickly accommodated small requests like for bowls or extra napkins. We ordered four items: the missus got the bun bo hue, and I got the special beef pho. We shared the pancake and the spring roll. The noodle dishes were decent, but the standout was the Vietnamese pancake. Definitely order this if you're on the fence! The restaurant got a lot busier after we got our food - at least two or three parties who arrived (two each) had to wait between 5-10 min for a table to clear. The staff are super efficient at clearing tables so you won't need to wait long, but the downside of this place is that their popularity easily exceeds their capacity - so be patient! I don't have any notes for ambiance. Parking is available in the same plaza, but there isn't much - a lot are reserved for specific businesses between specific hours, so be careful not to park in an open business if you intend to eat here!

We were very impressed by the options provided. I usually don't find Bun Bo Hue on the menu often which is what my partner ended up ordering. I ordered the Bun rieu which is even harder to come by. We also ordered the crispy butter garlic wings to share which was a perfect choice. The service was very fast and we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly our stuff came out after placing our order. The portions were also HUGE and we both had enough to take home for a second meal. The Bun rieu was super tomatoey and had a rich flavor which the crab. My mom makes Bun rieu at home and I was very much happy with this bowl too, reminded me a lot of how my mom makes it! The Bun Bo Hue was not super spicy but we appreciated being able to customize. This was on a Friday at 6pm and we came to a very empty parking lot until you try parking closer to the many businesses located along the Bella Bottega Shopping Center where this gem is located. Menu has typical items for a Vietnamese restaurant like pho, banh mi sandwiches, bun, rice dishes and vegetarian options. There was actually a lot of stuff so I was slightly overwhelmed. I got their large phở tái bò viên, which is pho with medium rare beef and meatballs. Note that there is only a $1 difference before tax between the medium- and large-size pho, and I saw the medium bowls being much smaller than the large one I got, so it's worth getting the larger one! Broth is warm, aromatic and comforting with the right amount of everything, and the meats inside gave it more depth. The noodles kept together easily in my bowl and did not break apart easily when picking them up with my chopsticks. I also asked for extra beef, which is $4 more; this was put inside my pho instead of being served raw on a separate plate like i've seen in other Vietnamese restaurants. My friend got their Yummy Noodles house special bun with chicken, and he loved it a lot! The brisket was super tender and meaty--I enjoyed it. The noodles were a bit overcooked, though, and there wasn't enough cilantro or onions for my taste.
