You can easily find parking as there is plenty, but it can get very busy in the weekends. Walking in, you can sit anywhere you'd like. Staff will bring you a menu and take time for you to order. There are already chopsticks, spoons, all of that on the table. It's very low maintenance, eat, enjoy, with no disturbance. The ambiance is a lot more on the older, traditional side, it's not super modern, but in a homey way. I got the chicken pho and my mom got the beef pho, both so delicious and came out pipping hot. Full of flavor, never too salty, and so much good meat that isn't too fatty. Bowls were about $14 each for a small, a great price for high quality, and located in busy Bellevue. Came on a rainy, Seattle Sunday...looking for some warm noodle soup to soothe...Pho Tai definitely did that, and for a very reasonable price. Came by myself after a decent walk from my daughter's apartment, so was really looking forward to the late lunch. It was still pretty crowded inside...once I was noticed, was asked by one of the staff to pick any table which I did near a window. Water was brought right away, and the menus were already on the table that I had picked. Pho Tai lists their menu on-line, so I already knew what I wanted. #28 Cha Gio ($3.75 each): Deep fried egg roll with minced pork and vegetables. It came out quickly and had been cut in half, with a typical sweet chili dipping sauce. It was very heavy and dense, and full of meat and vegetables. I wish they had given some romaine lettuce to wrap it, which some places do. But I did appreciate it comes individually (i.e. don't have to order two like most places do). #17 Pho Tai, Nam, Gan, Sach ($14.95 for a large): the named proteins here are steak, brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe. The broth was really good, slightly sweet, had a decent amount of beef flavor, but wasn't overly oily at all. It was also served at the perfect temperature: just hot enough to slightly 'cook' the thai basil and fresh bean sprouts added after it came to the table, but not so hot that it scalds if eaten too quickly. For me, tripe and tendon go really well in pho and is a must....but so are beef balls, and there was no combination that had all of those. Will definitely try that next. They open at 10:30 am, based on when they have the right amount of demand. I mention this because Pho is very much considered a breakfast food for some of us, and most of the locally owned Pho restaurants in SoCal open quite a bit earlier for breakfast. This isn't the case here, which makes sense, since in this area, the majority of restaurants are regional Chinese and authentic Indian. So glad for this Vietnamese restaurant and hoping to make at least one more visit before I go back to SoCal. read more

I love Pho, and there unfortunately aren't too many delicious places in Seattle/Eastside to fill this craving. So when I saw Pho Tai as a potential place to get this scrumptious noodle soup, I paid this restaurant a visit! I went on a Monday around dinner time (~7pm) and was promptly seated. The ambiance of the restaurant is casual with tables and booths lining the walls and middle of the restaurant. When I went, the service was very lax - seating was first come first serve, and you had the choice to pick wherever you wanted to sit. I initially wasn't sure if I was going to be served when I seated myself and was wondering if I needed to flag down a waiter to get a menu and my order in, but fortunately I didn't need to do any of that. As for paying the bill, you have to go up the register (at least for me) to do so. I got the number 17 large pho ($16) - the size was large, but I would say the actual size is something more of a medium bowl. This critique is based on other pho restaurants I've tried, and I was left wishing for a bit more in terms of size. The bowl was more like 25% meat (a couple of slices of steak/flank/brisket and a bit of tendon) and 75% noodles, which left me wanting a bit more in terms of protein. The broth had decent flavor and the warmth was much needed on the rainy day that I went. In the end, I would say that that though the flavors were decent, the price could be a bit better (maybe $2-3 cheaper per bowl), but that's just my opinion. There's good pho here, but the parking situation is horrendous as it shares the parking lot with the extremely busy Asian Family Market. Things that I noticed: clean tables, way too small napkins, nice background music, good pho broth. I got the seafood pho, which has shrimp, crab meat, squid, and scallop. Pho is the best I have had in the area and I have been trying many places. Chicken pho has a tendency to be dry at all pho restaurants but it is NOT here. Broth is super good too. Stay away if you have had decent Vietnamese food before. Also stay away if you're vegetarian. Beef Pho lacked flavor and no real pho spice smell. The noodle was too starchy like it wasn't cooked well. The vegetarian curry (which I thought was a safe order) was barely edible. I've had better microwaveable curry before. The curry came out cold with raw vegetables thrown on top. I'm talking about raw broccoli, bell peppers, and cabbage. I had to ask them to please heat up my curry. With success comes greed. After dining here regularly for +4 years, I'm editing my 5 star down to only 2 stars. When an ethnic restaurants customer base demographics flips to predominantly westerners, they've made the big time and now can move away from how they previously operated because westerners will not know the differences in the changing recipe but still tip heavily for the down graded meal. I remember when the owner (at the time, +4yrs ago) visited my table to proudly talk about the flavor, portion ratio, and quality of his bowl of pho. He said his pho is the best because it's loaded with flavor and meat, more than all of his competitors. He was correct so I frequented the restaurant 2-3 times a week for nearly half a decade. There's no competitors in that area now. I guess they think that no one will notice the smaller meat portions and larger noodle portions that came with the covid and tariff tax. They were above standard but now they're no different from all the other over priced pho restaurants. There's new and younger staff members now that seem annoyed when customers come in, making the old strip mall mom and pop restaurant feel not so warm and inviting anymore. This change in attitude has brought the ambiance down to "nasty fast food worker status" and maybe that's what they want now! Nothing special about this place, just a basic overpriced pho restaurant. They're a dime a dozen that does the job when you're too lazy to make it at home. I'll still eat here if I'm in the area but it's definitely not a place I crave anymore! So sad! read more

This is one of those hard reviews to do. The service is very straightforward and there is a lovely lady that came and brought out our food. The waiter were nice but very efficient. The rolls were great! Flavorful and the sauce was spot on and the right amount. The meat in the pho was the right tenderness and the oxtail was cooked to perfection. The pho it self was a little on the overcooked side but overall not bad. The broth is decent, I have had much better flavor profiles elsewhere. If you are looking for the best pho around this would not be my recommendation. If we are just talking about the food this was at most be a three star. But, here's the thing, its 12.95 for a regular pho and the speed and service is perfect and efficient. Just for the value I would push this to a 4 star. Staff is always very friendly and during these covid times, they seem to take the necessary precautions to make you feel safe. I was craving some pho, but I was also too lazy to drive over to Seattle where my favorite pho spot is. Therefore, I decided to check out what pho spots were on the eastside, and just remembered that there was Pho Tai in a business strip around the Bel-Red area. I've eaten at many of the other surrounding eateries where Pho Tai is located, so it never crossed my mind before to get pho here. But after learning that it had oxtail pho, I was sold. I came here around lunchtime on a Wednesday, and the place soon quickly filled. It gets busy for lunch, with many that work around the area. With that said, the space is pretty large, with many tables and seats, that can accommodate large groups. There may not be a wait, but parking gets full, with the surrounding businesses. There was a poster at the bar counter that showed they serve oxtail pho, which was not on the menu. The small is $11 while the large is $13. I ordered the oxtail pho, and it didn't take long to get my large bowl. The pho was solid! If you like oxtail, I would recommend trying it here, as it was tender with some fat for flavor. They also gave me four tails, which I was thought was a generous amount. It is pricier than the other phos they offer, but I'm glad to know that I can get oxtail not too far from where I live, as I don't often see an oxtail option, especially around Bellevue. I would come back here again for the oxtail pho. The large bowl was plenty. The oxtail was tender. And the broth was flavorful and clean. Personally, my favorite part of pho is the broth, and when it's good, you don't need to add hoisin or sriracha. At least, not so much of it that it turns the color of your broth to a dark brown or red. (Yeah, you know what I'm saying.) Overall, I'm glad to have found Pho Tai in east Bellevue. read more

However when I picked up the order I was charged ~28$ for two large pho. It appears that the prices in the linked menu are incorrect which is misleading.
