I was craving a banh mi and we were in the area and so we stopped. It was a warm day and they had the doors open and an industrial fan outside to help draw the hot air out. We walked in and the lady behind the counter asked if we were dining in or ordering to go and told us we could sit wherever we liked. She quickly brought us menus. Nothing fancy. Simple menus on a clipboard. We ended up ordering two banh mis, a side of pho beef broth, chicken skewers and egg rolls. I forgot to mention when we first walked in, you could smell the fragrance of the pho broth. It was very satisfying in a foodie way. The skewers came out first. Nothing special. Some pieces were actually a little overcooked or dry. It was like they were reheated too long. They were lightly seasoned and good with the dipping sauce. Next came the banh mi and the broth. The bread on our banh mis was amazing. Seriously some of the best bread I've had in a long time. It was crunchy and light and had a very nice chew to it. I would inhale that bread every day if I could. It's insanely good. The fillings on the inside of the banh mi were fresh. I went with the standard cold cut banh mi and my husband ordered a fried egg. His egg was cooked perfectly, just slightly runny. My only complaint on the banh mi was I wish it had more filling. It was enough. And for $9 I'm not upset but it would have been a 5/5 if it just had more filling. Now that beef broth. Wow! It was so good. The aroma was amazing. The broth delivered on flavor without being greasy or feeling too heavy for a broth. It was light and super satisfying. The egg roll was alright. It was decent. Nothing to write home about but satisfying enough. I just wish they served it with the fish sauce instead of sweet chili sauce. I'll be back. Especially for their banh mi. Bc that bread man. This pho restaurant has such a warm, trendy coffee shop vibe -- bright, quiet and stylish, totally different from standard casual noodle diners. Service was quick and pleasant. I got beef pho and a pork banh mi. The pho broth is rich and aromatic, noodles fresh, a comforting solid pick. The banh mi tasted incredible: crispy bread, savory marinated pork and tangy pickled veggies. My only complaint is the portion is pretty small, not enough as a full lunch if you have a big appetite. My husband and I were wanting some Vietnamese food so we decided to get takeout from Annam. Ordering online was simple and the food was ready at the specified time. We were surprised at how well they packed the steak and brisket pho. The noodles and pre-cooked meat were in a bowl and the veggies were on a tray that laid on top of the bowl to keep it separate. All you had to do was pour the hot broth into the bowl and add the accompaniments. Very nice! I felt that the amount of meat was very generous and I favored the brisket over the steak (maybe because it's more fatty). I liked the portion of noodles that I was given. It might not be as much as other shops, but I don't like too much noodles. The broth was pretty mediocre. The flavor lacked a certain je nais se qois. The pork banh mi was also just OK. The meat was a little dry and chewy. And the pickled vegetables didn't seem that pickles. Maybe they were quickled? The star of the show here was the bread itself. The interior was soft and the outside had a light crispness that was delightful and I didn't feel like my mouth would get cut. The shop itself is pretty cute since they basically inherited it from the previous restaurant. And there is plenty of parking in the Crossroads Plaza. I think they opened last October so they still seem fairly new to me and have potential to be better. read more

I wouldn't mind giving it a 4, but for the value of Vietnamese comfort food and serving it at mid vibes, the prices should not be this high. $9 banh mi. The filling wasn't all deli meat and pork floss. Nothing they cooked or made in house. The spring rolls were so drab and thin, I snapped a picture and it almost looked like nothing. Pho was very small at those prices. Vibes were cute, and it can have so much more potential. They need to up their portions, and quality to keep these prices which I think is needed for Bellevue... but the food taste and value needs to be there too. read more

Stopped by on a weekday evening and was seated quickly since it wasn't too crowded. The restaurant is located in Crossroads Plaza, so parking was easy. We ordered two kid phos and a special combo. Service was prompt and friendly, and the pho itself was solid. The broth was flavorful enough, and the proteins tasted fresh. That said, the portions felt a bit small, and prices were slightly higher than some comparable spots around the Seattle area. The interior is nicely decorated and has a pleasant atmosphere. I ordered their pho and I think compared to other places in the area, the broth felt a bit thin, and there weren't as many noodles. for $16 i might go somewhere else for it. But the banh mi was pleasantly surprising! I do think the one that we got was on the drier side as the pate seemed to overtake the fillings, but aside from that the ingredients were very fresh, and I appreciated that it was very full. we also got a ($9!) coconut to drink from because you just don't see that every day, lol. i took it home and cracked it open to eat the meat afterward :D i will be back for a quick healthy bite of banh mi in the future! read more

As I walked into the restaurant, I liked the greenery decorations. My partner and I ordered two pho and a banh mi to share. The menu isn't as extensive as other Vietnamese restaurants; the menu includes pho, one type of banh mi, and a few appetizers. The broth was delicious and flavorful, though it lacked a bit of richness for my taste. They give you plenty of meat in the pho. I ordered the combination, which included round eye steak, brisket, meatball, and tripe. The bowl was packed with meat, along with onions, cilantro, and green onions. Make sure to ask for the herbs and onions on the side if you don't like them. The banh mi was good. i liked that the pate wasn't too heavy. It also had cold cuts, Vietnamese ham, and pork floss. The service was excellent. The staff checked on us frequently and refilled our water. For me, it's comfort food. This place was bunsik, the Korean Japanese, and you can tell they pivoted because the health and safety document still says Bunsik on it instead of Annam! While Bunsik was a bougie, expensive Korean Japanese shop, this one seems to be a more reasonably priced Vietnamese style restaurant. They have a huge drinks menu for boba lovers (of which there are plenty, myself included), and some relatively reasonably priced food: $9 for banh mi and $16 for a bowl of pho. The decor is basically the same as before and it's pretty quiet and clean. The previous iteration of the restaurant had items that were more than $20 and I think generally more of a put-off, but the new one has prices that more match the food in this mall area. Also, very few less than $10 food options other than Dick's, and it's a nice trade-off for some fresher, healthier food. I came here for a pork banh mi to go, and it was delicious. I was excited to see pate in it (a lot of places skip it), but also surprised to see pork floss and some yellow cream (tasty, but unfamiliar). I'm not very familiar with banh mi authenticity so I won't speak to that, but I will say I was very happy with my sandwich. At first glance I didn't think it looked like a lot of fillings, but as I ate it, I felt it was an excellent ratio. A hidden gem that doesn't get much love but should. Some of the best pho around. Very unique broth, it's rich and a hint of sweetness and savory boldness. The broth was rich,, the ingredients fresh and vibrant, and the spring rolls were light and perfectly paired with the peanut hoisin sauce. The atmosphere here is what really sets this place apart, spotless, calm, and beautifully decorated. It feels much more refined and relaxing than most pho spots. Customer Service: I ordered and paid online, received confirmation in email, and drove 15 minutes to the location, only to be told they didn't have my order. I then had to wait again in the store for it to be prepared. Food: Ordered the steak and meatball pho but received pho with no meatballs. Stopped by Crossroads the other day for a quick lunch and decided to give Annam a try. The interior was nice and clean and with it being empty bar the two of us and the employee, service was fast. Partner and I both ordered the #7, their special combo pho which contains tripe, tendon, round steak, brisket, and meatballs. Other Yelpers have mentioned that the price per portion is lacking, but I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the pho. I want to say it's on-par, if not slightly larger than the nearby options (specifically; La Que/Papaya in the mall which offers less variety in meats.) I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl and thought the broth was light yet flavorful, very easy to drink. My partner did not share the same sentiment, and just thought it too light. read more

I was excited to see a new pho restaurant on the Eastside as I find myself having to drive to the Westside to get good pho these days. However when I tried Annam I was not quite sure how this place is getting 5 star reviews. Annam is a pivot to Vietnamese food by the Korean owners of Bunshik. The pho was pretty bland and held back heavily on spices. The base of the broth was decent so I can see an easy path to improvement if they choose to not skimp out. The Bahn Mi was weirdly balanced. Heavy on the pate and light on the veggies. The bread was also mediocre at best not having much of a crunch as you would expect. Currently at the price point they're asking for, there a few better alternatives on the Eastside and much more Westside. read more

I tried the banh mi with chicken and was disappointed by the very wet pate' that was dripping out of my sandwich. It ruined the bread and made it soggy. They also add pork floss to the sandwich.
