We stopped in here for a beverages and pastries prior to heading back to Seattle. The establishment is HUGE inside, and has lots of outside seating. The ceiling was notably filthy next to the HVAC vent, which was a bit weird. The were out of all of the pastries I was interested in, and there weren't a whole lot of non-alcoholic beverages that weren't coffee. I opted for a mango smoothie, which was a mistake. It was cloyingly sweet, and I could only endure about a quarter of it and left the rest. My travel companion's coffee treat was described as being really good.

The raspberry latte was one of the best coffee ive had - so rich and creamy! It's a great workplace with lots of seating. There's also a pizza place across where you can also order from and to. The service is awesome and friendly! Located in a nice area near the microsoft offices so recommend street parking

If I could rate it 3.5 instead I would! But no half stars so here we are. I originally looked up sandwich shops to try out and ended up seeing the Jack sprat menu. It's in a sort of weird location with no real parking nearby so be ready for some stairs depending the direction you come from. The garden/field is super pretty and very chill! It's in the center of an apartment block so it's very quiet. The pizza place (poggio) and sandwich/burger joint (sprat) are the same company but the pizza place is located in a hut just across the sidewalk. Each has tablets you can order at that include the menu from both poggio and sprat which is convenient! When we ordered and sat at the pizza place, a lady brought out our food over from sprat while our pizza was was delivered at the window of poggio For the food, we ordered the 8 inch pizza, the chaat chicken sandwich, and onion rings. The pizza was a standard, pretty solid, pepperoni pizza that you would expect from anywhere, nothing too special but good and honestly, severely overpriced at $13 for a kids sized pizza. I was super excited for the chaat chicken sandwich and was honestly let down. The description made it sound like it would be full of flavor but honestly it totally fell flat. The best way I can describe it is how food tasted when I had covid: you expect flavor only to get hints of a flavor every once in a while. I think this could be significantly better with more of the yogurt dressing and better seasoning. The onion rings were the best part of the meal and honestly pretty dang good. Overall the food we tried was decent but didn't leave me feeling like I needed to tell my friends about it. A few tweaks to the food could really up the experience

I really love this café. The interior is beautiful, the location is very convenient, and they have my favorite salad with butternut squash. It's such a nice spot to stop by and enjoy good food in a great atmosphere.

Jack Sprat: The Coffee Equivalent of a Software Update That Bricks Your Laptop This place has been on my list forever and I was actually excited to start my morning here. That ended the moment the coffee hit my mouth like a bad Windows patch. Latte art? I'll take it. Truly. The barista clearly gives a damn and deserves a better platform than whatever this roast was trying to be. The flavor was a hollow shell of what a latte should be. Not offensive enough to throw away, but not good enough to recommend to someone I like. Let's talk about Redmond. For a city with a trillion-dollar tech empire sitting in its lap, you'd think someone would have figured out how to make a decent cup of coffee by now. But no. The whole area seems content serving up coffee that tastes like it was optimized for enterprise users on a six-month delay. This town drinks burnt beans and calls it culture. Jack Sprat is a mirror of Redmond itself. Pretty on the outside, full of potential, but ultimately ruined by whatever bland, corporate coffee algorithm is running behind the scenes. You're not a coffee city just because you have WiFi and espresso. Fix it.

    Poggio piccante is SO GOOD

Nestled in Esterra Park, they combine two distinct dining concepts under one roof. Jack Sprat offers a fresh café menu with a variety of options, including salads, sandwiches, and a diverse array of drinks, from coffee to adult beverages. Meanwhile, Pizza Poggio brings the taste of authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas with thin, crispy crusts and rich toppings, all baked in a wood-fired oven. WHAT WE ATE: - French fries were crisp and seasoned to perfection. - The fried chicken was OMG. You have no business being that delicious. - The pastrami Reuben was packed with house-smoked pastrami made from premium beef. My partner could only eat half. - The Poggio Piccante pizza was stupid good. I could taste the fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, and the bread-to-topping ratio was perfect. - The Pink Elevator, made with fresh watermelon juice, was refreshing with just enough sweetness. There isn't traditional table service as you bus your own table.

Finally tried this spot with my daughter and husband. It's got a great green space outside which makes it perfect for kiddos and big groups. Must be lovely in the summer. We went on a weekday early afternoon and there were only a couple other patrons. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was good. Everything's on the pricier side but the quality was there. The açaí bowl was good. The goji berries were a bit too hard/crunchy for my toddler to enjoy. The BLT was delicious but at $15 for a sandwich it really should come with a side salad or fries. Coffee: my oat milk mocha was delicious. Hubs ordered a nitro cold brew which came with ice. Do nitros typically come with ice? Seemed to water it down a bit and disrupt the nitro foam. Overall, a great spot nestled between all the apartments and hotels in Redmond. Street parking was easy but it's a trek if you've got little ones with you with little legs.

Pretty surprised that I live in the neighborhood and I had never tried Jack Sprat before. Very good coffee, delicious godly onion rings, and pretty decent Pizza. Loved the fact they have happy hours till 6 PM - and they do have some amazing beer. We tried one stout which really stood out - flavor profile was somewhere between coffee and a cough syrup Service and atmosphere both are excellent here.

Very good natural lighting and lots of seating. They have covered seating outside too, perfect for rainy days. We used street parking down the road and it was a short walk to the cafe. We had tuna fish sandwiches, coffee, a protein smoothie. The food was good and filling. It was a little confusing coming in on how it worked, but you can order from a kiosk. We weren't really guided or greeted by staff- but they were friendly when delivering our items. My only complaint is that we spent $50 on this, but I suppose that's to be expected near Microsoft headquarters.

Love to stop in here for a coffee on my bike commutes to the nearby light rail station, or to grab a beer with friends on my way home. Also nice food options to go along with the extremely good pizza from Pizza Poggio outside. This part of Redmond / North Bellevue is rather devoid of places like this where you can get a variety of food and hang out with friends in comfort, very welcome addition to the neighborhood. Bring back the impossible burgers and it'd be perfect :D

    James L.

Awesome iced and hot cappuccino, pizzas, burgers, and fries are also very delish. I love the ambience and the space. Parking is hard to find sometimes. Service is good but usually only one person so be patient.

So when I saw this location of…read moreBellevue's largest microbrewery, my wife and I had to stop in for an early lunch with a sampling of beers. The food and beers were great. As the name states, the very large brewpub is located in the Spring District, inside the park/greenspace. The district used to be an industrial area, that has been transformed into a mixed residential/retail area, centered around the light rail transit station. The brewery makes great use of the outdoor space, with a lot of seating for an impromptu biergarten on nice days. This Tuesday was a typical March day in Seattle, which meant dining inside was a must. We ended up finding street parking a couple of blocks away, though they do have validated parking: in the underground parking right below (with under 10 dedicated spots) and the bigger Spring district Parking garage nearby. Amanda was our server, and she was super friendly, giving us suggestions. They have a large selection of house brewed beers, and we chose eight of the non-IPA ones as two flights, consisting of 4 5oz glasses (assuming it cost $12). We tried the Harvest Boom P.O.G. Wheat (this was our favorite one), Bothell Brown (liked this one), Snake Charmer Irish Red (strangely very mild for a Red), ChugMeister Mazren Lager (my second favorite). Second flight consisted of 1882 Pre-Prohibition Lager (very crisp and light), Muckle Flugga Scotch Ale (really like Scotch Ale in general, though hard to find on the West Coast...thought this version was OK), Schwarzbier Black Lager (different, very mild, really enjoyed), and a Der Kommissar Pilsner (super light with no body). I don't think I've been able to choose two flights of non-IPA in-house beers before...they keep a very large selection here, and it's worth coming to, just for the draft beers. We ordered some bar food that both of us like, and each plate was excellent. Shareable thick cut fries ($11) was very filling, especially since they were fried very well and were sturdy enough for dipping. Got Scotch Ale Chili ($13) and it was hearty, with plenty of pinto beans and good ground beef, with not too much chili powder. It came with housemade tortilla chips, which were thin and excellent. Wanted to try their beef birria, ordered their birria Nachos ($19) and it was really well prepared. Everything was diced into small pieces, used a really good beer cheese sauce and the the fresh guacamole was solid. For a brewpub, it has excellent bar food. The portions were large...we ended up taking about half of it home. Next time, will stay longer and try some of their main course dishes. The room was modern with plenty of windows for natural light. The central bar is huge, but there are plenty of bar tables as well, letting patrons decide how they want to dine/hang. My only complaint was that the payment process was at the table with only a tablet, and gave me no chance to look at the receipt. The total seemed right and was expecting a chance for receipt, but Amanda grabbed the tablet after my tip and signature before I could ask for a digital receipt, and then disappeared. I suppose I could have tracked her down, but getting a receipt after a meal should not be that hard. Can't remember the last time I was out, and couldn't get a receipt easily...would have made this review a bit easier.

I'm not a huge IPA fan, but they always have something malty or lager-like on the menu, too. Food is, IMHO, solid. Burgers are good, the fish and chips can be greasy but are usually quite good. Wife seems to like the chili and gluten-free pizzas. Staff are always awesome characters with a (fun, good) personality. Usually some game is on the TVs, and depending on time of day/week/year the crowd varies. Go visit. Breweries are closing because the younger generation's drinking less. You don't have to drink a ton, just support a local place with good food, vibe, and drinks (there's plenty of NA things).

Somehow that's part of the charm though; I've been coming by a few times a year for over a decade and haven't yet been disauaded. There's a couple of high top tables on the fully indoor side and big 8 person tables in the beer garden area which extends from the warehouse to the parking lot. No food in house but they do have food trucks occasionally (mostly on the weekends). Apparently, this entire location is closing in December. The brewing operation is moving to Bremerton and the taproom is not planned to be reopened. I suspect this was announced suddenly by the private equity firm that bought the brewery out a couple years back, as all the customers today seemed surprised and there was even a sign on the wall with December event dates printed and then crossed out after the fact. I feel terrible for the employees as I imagine none or basically none of them have kept their employment given the distance from Redmond to Bremerton.
