Unfortunately it was one of the worst pastrami sandwiches I've had. I'm giving three stars because I want to believe this just isn't their dish. The onion rings were great by contrast (even though it said something about their 'house mojo sauce' on the menu but what I got was definitely plain bulk ranch) What made it so bad? We stopped in here for a beverages and pastries prior to heading back to Seattle. The establishment is HUGE inside, and has lots of outside seating. The ceiling was notably filthy next to the HVAC vent, which was a bit weird. The were out of all of the pastries I was interested in, and there weren't a whole lot of non-alcoholic beverages that weren't coffee. I opted for a mango smoothie, which was a mistake. If I could rate it 3.5 instead I would! But no half stars so here we are. I originally looked up sandwich shops to try out and ended up seeing the Jack sprat menu. It's in a sort of weird location with no real parking nearby so be ready for some stairs depending the direction you come from. The garden/field is super pretty and very chill! It's in the center of an apartment block so it's very quiet. The pizza place (poggio) and sandwich/burger joint (sprat) are the same company but the pizza place is located in a hut just across the sidewalk. Each has tablets you can order at that include the menu from both poggio and sprat which is convenient! When we ordered and sat at the pizza place, a lady brought out our food over from sprat while our pizza was was delivered at the window of poggio For the food, we ordered the 8 inch pizza, the chaat chicken sandwich, and onion rings. The pizza was a standard, pretty solid, pepperoni pizza that you would expect from anywhere, nothing too special but good and honestly, severely overpriced at $13 for a kids sized pizza. I was super excited for the chaat chicken sandwich and was honestly let down. The description made it sound like it would be full of flavor but honestly it totally fell flat. The best way I can describe it is how food tasted when I had covid: you expect flavor only to get hints of a flavor every once in a while. I think this could be significantly better with more of the yogurt dressing and better seasoning. The onion rings were the best part of the meal and honestly pretty dang good. Finally tried this spot with my daughter and husband. It's got a great green space outside which makes it perfect for kiddos and big groups. Must be lovely in the summer. We went on a weekday early afternoon and there were only a couple other patrons. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was good. Everything's on the pricier side but the quality was there. The açaí bowl was good. The goji berries were a bit too hard/crunchy for my toddler to enjoy. The BLT was delicious but at $15 for a sandwich it really should come with a side salad or fries. Coffee: my oat milk mocha was delicious. Hubs ordered a nitro cold brew which came with ice. Do nitros typically come with ice? Seemed to water it down a bit and disrupt the nitro foam. Overall, a great spot nestled between all the apartments and hotels in Redmond. Street parking was easy but it's a trek if you've got little ones with you with little legs. read more

Loved the fact they have happy hours till 6 PM - and they do have some amazing beer. The reason for the 1 star is not the food, the cheeseburger I got was good. I ordered at the kiosk which means you pick up your food at the counter. There was a counter which is on the side of the drink section so I thought I could grab it since my food was just sitting there. I'd never been here before and the kiosk said pick up at the counter so I figured this was how it worked. Apparently, I was mistaken and the worker came over to let me know that only she can grab it which I completely get and of course wouldn't do it again now that I know. Not even a minute later, the worker returned to the bar and started complaining about me to a customer, loudly insulting me for that mistake and ranting about how ridiculous and disrespectful it was. I understand it was my mistake, but it was a mistake... I found their behavior incredibly rude and unprofessional. I've never given a 1 star review anywhere but this was a surprisingly disappointing experience. There exist so many places with similar quality food and significantly better service, I recommend going to those instead!! read more

Very good natural lighting and lots of seating. They have covered seating outside too, perfect for rainy days. We used street parking down the road and it was a short walk to the cafe. We had tuna fish sandwiches, coffee, a protein smoothie. The food was good and filling. It was a little confusing coming in on how it worked, but you can order from a kiosk. We weren't really guided or greeted by staff- but they were friendly when delivering our items. My only complaint is that we spent $50 on this, but I suppose that's to be expected near Microsoft headquarters. read more

This place is great! I work in the Microsoft building adjacent to this business. I had not gone here for food until perhaps one month ago and I have many food allergies, the person that works. There was kind enough to check their supplier to see where they source their Hamburger meat from and if it is free of antibiotics and hormones. We learned that it is 100% organic, so I started coming here multiple times a week to get their organic cheeseburger. I have to say it is fantastic. Also nice food options to go along with the extremely good pizza from Pizza Poggio outside. Ground floor on a building corner with ceiling to floor windows facing to the southwest. Very high ceilings. Good sound system, though the music was a bit loud and the music sounded canned and like a genre of failed faux funk (to my ears). Clean tables and bathrooms. Table and bar seating, including a couple of large high tables capable of seating large groups. Large screen with projector can be lowered from the ceiling for sports games and movies. Fun large magnetic Scrabble board affixed to one wall (near door to bathrooms) with limited letters is a fun distraction. COFFEE and PASTRIES: 3.5 - 4.0: Americano. A bit dark for my taste, but well-made. - 3.0: Decaf with almond milk. Decaf latte unavailable, so settled for this. Unsatisfying. - 4.0: Croissant. My partner liked her croissant as it was warmed up; that earned 0.5 points alone. - 3.0: Chocolate Croissant (aka Pain au Chocolat). It requires truly terrible and borderline offensive service to compel me to leave a one star review. I found this spot on Maps and swung by on a Tuesday morning to quickly grab a coffee. Lots of staff behind the bar - no "hi" or general acknowledgement of my existence. I ordered at the kiosk nearby. Okay, a little unusual for a sit-down joint claiming to be upscale, but not a big deal. I moved over to the counter about 10' away to wait for my coffee. No acknowledgement of existence. I counted no fewer than four workers behind the bar, apparently doing a walkthrough; maybe they should have done some training on customer experience instead. Have you ever stood awkwardly at a bar waiting for the bartender to notice you? It was like that but imagine there are zero people at the bar and there are four bartenders. It gets better. After waiting 5 minutes, I had the audacity to ask if my order went through okay. The way the barista responded, you would have thought I was begging for her firstborn child. She eventually drops my coffee off with as much interest as someone discarding their dog droppings in a park trash bin. The kicker? I tipped when I placed my order. I later noticed another woman go through the same experience. Came in, stood awkwardly, ordered on the machine, stood awkwardly by the bar, then eventually resigned herself to setting up at a table. I had a fleeting thought of warning her away. I'd give the benefit of the doubt that I caught them on a bad day, but it looks like this is not a one off behavior at Jack Sprats. Stopped by here after a meeting and so weirdly surprised by this place. The surrounding is super sterile business park and sterile apartments so wasn't expecting any good food or atmosphere. I was clearly ignorant because this place has wonderful food (I had the açaí bowl and tahine salad) both were amazing as well as the latte. Their happy hour is a great deal and they served the local racer wine. I was expecting over priced sub par food and found that this place is fairly priced, has amazing service (shout out to the ladies running the front and the dude cooking out back) ...great food. Food is really excellent here. I got the veggie cheeseburger (house made patty), best veggie burger around (I have had veggie burgers everywhere). The texture of the patty is not at all mushy which is so often the case with veggie patties. I also ordered a pizza -- the crust is very light and airy with bold flavored toppings. I plan to order pizza, again, here. ..that soft serve sounds good..also on my list for next time. Parking is a bit of a pain here. the cafe is located in the center of the apartment cluster/development (at the top of the stairs). For me, b/c of parking, take out works great. read more
