If you are in the Redmond area, this is the go-to brewery to check out. Great selection of beers, really cool outdoor space, rotating food trucks, and dog-friendly inside and outside. What more do you need?

I checked out the Kenmore location this past Saturday. Great space with ample indoor and outdoor areas. I love these breweries because it's inclusive to family, kids and dogs. They allow outside food which is the reason why we came, as we just picked up food to-go and looking for a spot to enjoy it. Speaking of food I learned they have a rotating daily food truck schedule onsite as well. As for beer, I tried one of their beer slushies and I'm a fan. The passion fruit was so good! Perfect for this summer heat streak we're having.

We went on a Saturday evening and there were quite a few people. We ordered at the counter and then found seats outside to enjoy our beers. We liked that you're allowed to bring your own food, which we didn't know, but it's good to note a place to come hangout with friends. I noticed after sitting down that they seem to do flights of some sorts but didn't see it on the wall inside, so maybe worth trying in the future.

Postdoc Brewing is a brewery with great beer options, lots of outdoor patio seating (and indoor seating), and a casual atmosphere. It's the perfect place to grab drinks with friends. It was started by a UW Graduate who got his PhD in Biochemistry and had a brewery out of his garage. Postdoc has a rotating menu of about 10 different beers at a time. This time I tried the STUDY ABROAD fruity ale and the GUAVA GOSE. Both were quite fruity, but I liked the STUDY ABROAD slightly better is it was a little less bitter. You can order beer in a variety of sizes too. It's located in an industrial area, but they have plenty of parking. They also have a rotating food truck as they don't serve food. You can find out which food truck will be at Postdoc on a particular day by checking their website ahead of time. Servers are friendly; you order at the bar and bring your drink to the table. You bus yourself. Overall: 5/5 for drinks, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Postdoc Brewing is a fun spot for beers where you can bring your dog. I mean, anywhere you can bring your dog to makes me an instant fan, so Postdoc is clearly on that list. We had a fun time here. I've visited Postdoc a few times, and in my most recent visit, I came here to meet with friends and our dogs, which was a great time. We were able to snag a few outdoor tables, which have umbrellas for shade. Plus, you can bring your dog inside. Love it! I tried the Dissertation IPA, which is a double IPA. I recommend if you like really hoppy beers, as this one was solid. What's nice here at Postdoc is that not only can you order a flight to try different beers, but you can order beers in different sizes, so you don't have to settle on a pint if you want to drink different beers. They also have cans of different ciders in the fridge from local cideries that were tasty. For food, you can bring your own, but they do host a food truck every night. They post the schedule on their website. TVs are inside if you want to watch the game, and I like that they've put more outdoor tables in the front parking lot, allowing for more people to hang out outside. Parking is not an issue though as there's street parking and parking spots around the industrial park that Postdoc is located in. Looking for a dog-friendly brewery on the eastside? Postdoc is a good option.

A nice little brewery tucked away in a business like center. Pretty busy on a Saturday night. It seems they have some regulars that frequent the bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. I'm not a beer drinker and came with friends. Would have been nice to have a few ciders on the menu. Nice bar.

Just a good ol' Seattle brewery! Dog friendly! Plentiful outdoor and indoor seating, located in an industrial - like area. I tried the blackberry gose ($7.50), it was nice! There was a nacho food truck outside the day we went.

Located in a business park, I thought for sure I was in the wrong location. Turns out I wasn't. Nice spot for a beer and excellent variety!

This is literally the nerdy bar of my dreams. As someone who used to work in research I went a little bit too excited reading the menu. It just was so relatable! The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were good. The vibe was nice as well!

I stumbled across Postdoc quite by accident a couple of summers ago. I was looking for another brewery (that turned out not to have a tasting room) and saw a nearby sign with a large arrow pointing to "beer". Of course, I followed that arrow! Located in an industrial area near Marymoor Park, Postdoc is fairly nondescript on the outside. When I visited again a few months after that first time, I actually drove right past it! But on the inside they've built a warm, inviting tasting room and complemented it with a ginormous outdoor beer garden. On any given weekend day, the place is packed (in a socially distant way, of course). They have a wide variety of beers on tap, from the requisite selection of IPAs to more malty ales and even a dark beer or two. On my most recent visit a few weeks ago I tried their Hydrogen Blonde, which was perfect for a warm summer Saturday afternoon. Postdoc doesn't serve food but most times I've visited they've had various food trucks dishing out tasty-looking grub. This is definitely a must-visit brewery when in Redmond!

Finally a place where you can sit outside and the tables are very distant from each other. I am not a beer drinker at all, but I heard good comments from others about their beer. I really appreciate that they have a red blend wine, which I ordered and was pretty good. Our server was super nice, but took a while to comeback after the first round. I think it was busier than they expected so they may have been short-staffed. Not sure. There was an awesome food truck on site and being able to bring my dog was icing on the cake. They could use heaters during the winter. Definitely will comeback.

One of the best brewery on the eastside with rotation food trucks daily, pets/kids friendly with huge patio sections.

Somehow that's part of the charm though; I've been coming by a few times a year for over a decade and haven't yet been disauaded. There's a couple of high top tables on the fully indoor side and big 8 person tables in the beer garden area which extends from the warehouse to the parking lot. No food in house but they do have food trucks occasionally (mostly on the weekends). Apparently, this entire location is closing in December. The brewing operation is moving to Bremerton and the taproom is not planned to be reopened. I suspect this was announced suddenly by the private equity firm that bought the brewery out a couple years back, as all the customers today seemed surprised and there was even a sign on the wall with December event dates printed and then crossed out after the fact. I feel terrible for the employees as I imagine none or basically none of them have kept their employment given the distance from Redmond to Bremerton. Even though this isn't my favorite brewery in town I'm sad to see them go after 30+ years here, one of the original microbreweries

Good luck because they're running out of real estate in there and the walls are dense with cuteness. I think they have a food truck on the weekends, though sadly not on our visit. And you can do a free tour of their brewery on Saturdays at 3pm. They also have a couple wine options in case the beers aren't doing it for you. The only major bummer is that they serve beverages in plastic cups. Really not a fan of that at all.

I love going to local brewpubs and microbreweries when traveling. So when I saw this location of…read moreBellevue's largest microbrewery, my wife and I had to stop in for an early lunch with a sampling of beers. The food and beers were great. As the name states, the very large brewpub is located in the Spring District, inside the park/greenspace. The district used to be an industrial area, that has been transformed into a mixed residential/retail area, centered around the light rail transit station. The brewery makes great use of the outdoor space, with a lot of seating for an impromptu biergarten on nice days. This Tuesday was a typical March day in Seattle, which meant dining inside was a must. We ended up finding street parking a couple of blocks away, though they do have validated parking: in the underground parking right below (with under 10 dedicated spots) and the bigger Spring district Parking garage nearby. Amanda was our server, and she was super friendly, giving us suggestions. They have a large selection of house brewed beers, and we chose eight of the non-IPA ones as two flights, consisting of 4 5oz glasses (assuming it cost $12). We tried the Harvest Boom P.O.G. Wheat (this was our favorite one), Bothell Brown (liked this one), Snake Charmer Irish Red (strangely very mild for a Red), ChugMeister Mazren Lager (my second favorite). Second flight consisted of 1882 Pre-Prohibition Lager (very crisp and light), Muckle Flugga Scotch Ale (really like Scotch Ale in general, though hard to find on the West Coast...thought this version was OK), Schwarzbier Black Lager (different, very mild, really enjoyed), and a Der Kommissar Pilsner (super light with no body). I don't think I've been able to choose two flights of non-IPA in-house beers before...they keep a very large selection here, and it's worth coming to, just for the draft beers. We ordered some bar food that both of us like, and each plate was excellent. Shareable thick cut fries ($11) was very filling, especially since they were fried very well and were sturdy enough for dipping. Got Scotch Ale Chili ($13) and it was hearty, with plenty of pinto beans and good ground beef, with not too much chili powder. It came with housemade tortilla chips, which were thin and excellent. Wanted to try their beef birria, ordered their birria Nachos ($19) and it was really well prepared. Everything was diced into small pieces, used a really good beer cheese sauce and the the fresh guacamole was solid. For a brewpub, it has excellent bar food. The portions were large...we ended up taking about half of it home. Next time, will stay longer and try some of their main course dishes. The room was modern with plenty of windows for natural light. The central bar is huge, but there are plenty of bar tables as well, letting patrons decide how they want to dine/hang. My only complaint was that the payment process was at the table with only a tablet, and gave me no chance to look at the receipt. The total seemed right and was expecting a chance for receipt, but Amanda grabbed the tablet after my tip and signature before I could ask for a digital receipt, and then disappeared. I suppose I could have tracked her down, but getting a receipt after a meal should not be that hard. Can't remember the last time I was out, and couldn't get a receipt easily...would have made this review a bit easier.

Usually some game is on the TVs, and depending on time of day/week/year the crowd varies. Go visit. Breweries are closing because the younger generation's drinking less. You don't have to drink a ton, just support a local place with good food, vibe, and drinks (there's plenty of NA things).
