Beer flight

Such a cute brewery with a beer garden area - welcome to dogs! Love getting the beer flight to try the different options. The dairy beer was actually my favorite. Amazing service, the person at the front was very informative and gave great recommendations. Love the local beer here!

We love breweries cause they're much easier for us with kids (plus the beer helps). Coming down from the pass, we wanted a rest stop. This was perfect cause Cascadia Pizza truck was just next door. Volition allows you to bring the pizza in so beer and pizza? Win-win! I started with a flight. Each beer I tried was delicious. The surprising standout for me was their Pie Shoppe sour. Super juicy and tart. Loved it! All their other offerings were solid as well. Mark of a great brewmaster! So good in fact I decided to take home a taster glass. Friendly beertenders and great clientele. Solid brewery! We'll likely make this a common stop when coming back from Snoqualmie.

Staff was very friendly. We got a flight to share & liked the Space Bike the most with Beer Goggles being a close second. Big plus that it is dog friendly & has pinball for something fun to do.

Great brewery with a great vibe and a large selection of beers. Lots of indoor seating and a very large outdoor seating area to the side and outback. They even have fire areas where you can buy a s'mores pack to make s'mores. Trivia night on Monday night. Also lots of games to borrow and play. Food truck I believe on most nights. The night we visited they had a delicious Vietnamese food truck. Service was good and answered questions about the beer.

A golden ale on nitro? Yes, please!

I have been to Volition twice now. Once by myself and another time with Steve. My first time here I got a wonderful, creamy golden ale on nitro as well as a saison, What Would Bobby Do. I enjoyed my beers that I thought when Steve and I were in the area on a separate trip he should have the opportunity to go to their taproom. That time I got the Master Sword, a coffee stout which was perfect for the chilly weather we were experiencing at the time! I'm impressed with how spacious the taproom is if you include outside seating as it goes back quite a ways! The inside is bright, clean and cheerful. Love the Frozen Han Solo in Carbonite replica up against the wall as you come in but I'm a total Star Wars geek. Definitely going to keep this brewery in mind for whenever I'm back in town because the beer is well crafted and the taproom relaxing and enjoyable!

What a cool space. I met friends here for a birthday celebration. Good beers and great company. The crew is very nice and friendly. A food truck was outside in the alley. They are dog friendly.

Man, I haven't had beer this good in a long time. I'm so glad my friend wanted to check out Volition Brewing while we were in North Bend, as this is a must stop in the area for beer snobs. It's some of the best beer around. We came here on a Saturday late afternoon and the place was pretty busy, but we were able to get a seat towards the back area, which was more quiet than the front. They allow you to taste the beers before ordering a pint, which was nice. I had the Tomorrow's Problems IPA, which was a double IPA and my favorite beer here. Really freakin' good if you love IPAs and hoppy beers. I also had their other IPA that was a very west coast style IPA, which was solid. You really can't go wrong here. If beer isn't your thing, they also had local wines on tap. The space was very chill. Located in downtown North Bend where all the businesses are located, street parking can be easily found and is walking distance to other spots. There was a food truck that most people were getting food from nearby, so you can bring your own food here. Loved all the dogs here and how friendly the staff were. Volition Brewing is my new favorite Washington brewery!

We had a great time. Excellent hazy ipa. Food truck with decent food. North Bend has changed so much since the 90's.

Their website was easy to navigate to find out which food truck would be there and when. We ordered our food first then handed inside to warm up before picking up our order. The space was really spacious and nice. The vibes were warm and cozy with a large TV projector screen playing sports, good music and all types of seating and tables. They have a dog water bowl near the front where you can also get water with clean cups nearby too! You can also tell it is a beloved location as it was getting quite busy and there were children, dogs, and adults enjoying the space and time with one another. We got two 10oz Diamond Knot root beers which was divine! I recently started drinking root beer from breweries and I am a huge fan, as I think brand named root beer is gross. The drink paired really well with our soul food order. The bartender was really polite and seemed to be good friends with his regulars which is a good sign. I asked him where we should put the drinks and he politely let me know to the side of where he served me would be great and there is a sign to put empty glasses as well. We will look forward to visiting when we can as we are all the way from Tacoma but it is definitely worth coming back to!

The Five Forks food truck deserves a high five, it was great. We were there with 8 of us to celebrate a birthday. First of all, the beer selection at the time had 4 or 5 pilsners and the rest almost all IPAs. I get it, IPAs sell but I don't know about the pilsners. The lack of beer variety isn't even the issue as much as NOT ALLOWING FLIGHTS! OMG, YOU'RE A SMALL BREWERY! WHO DOESN'T OFFER FLIGHTS??? I get it, investment in glasses and a little more maintenance BUT YOU'RE A SMALL BREWERY! As a business and finance person, the flights give you maximum margin on your product AND serve as a marketing tool for exposing consumers to your various products. It's actually a negative NOT to have them. Instead, we had to order multiple full glasses and shared the backwash (sarcasm but it was family). Actually you would have more money because we would have all ordered flights and then likely ordered larger of the ones we liked instead of finishing off the stuff that was meh. The beer itself was fine. There was one IPA that had some unique qualities but overall as a whole, they were just ok. Another downfall was that they sell themselves as family friendly, but had a single root beer as the only non-alcohol offering. How about just having some canned soda for the kids? I had inquired in advance about ciders for gluten free options for our celiac and they said "we have ciders" which turned out to be a single cider so that was disappointing as well. The place does have some potential, but untapped at this point.

We showed up last night, late, after we'd both been working downtown doing physical work that just wore us out. Sure, we're in our seventh decade, but we both stay busy! And we just didn't want to cook a dinner after we have given out all our energy. So we walked in, and noted that the place is brightly lit and feels homey while also feeling like a place to be comfortable and not worry about who's watching. We went up to the bar to order our food and drinks, and sat at a table with our drinks. We maybe were there about five to ten minutes and our food came out, fresh and hot and with amazing scents of delightful ingredients. I had the Spicy Burger, which comes with a *six* ounce patty, with cheese, lettuce & tomato and onion, and a spicy chipotle mayo sauce and pickled jalapenos on a brioche. I *love* spicy food anyway, and this hit the spot. Spicy enough to fill the craving I had, and juicy enough that I needed a dozen extra napkins to catch all the juices and spices. My wife had the fish & chips. The fish was made with battered cod, and it was flaky and tender to the point of being "fall apart in your mouth" fresh. The tartar sauce was very good, too. And we both were so very pleased with the fries. They cut the potatoes into strips maybe 1/4" thick and 1/2" wide, but then they dip them in beer batter before deep-frying them. They were *amazing* - crisp and hot and tasty, and well seasoned. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and we have made it a plan that the brewery will become one of the local restaurants we will return to often for a good meal after a hard day.

However Manfish Brewing does not have their own tasting room and you need to go to their website and select on " Find Manfish" in order to find their beer. There they have several locations in Seattle, Renton and Kent where you can get different selections of their beer. I went to The Brewmaster's Taproom in Renton and got the Pudge The Curmudeon IPA which was very good. I wanted to try some of their other beers in the area that other locations would have that were stated on their website. Unfortunately I didn't get any further in trying their other beers because The Hop Garden which was listed as tapping soon for another IPA did not have it in stock yet. The same also went for The Brick Pub & Grill in Renton which is slated to have yet another different IPA than the one I had and what The Hop Garden was going to get. Same for the North Bend Bar & Grill which is slated for.... you guessed it right... another IPA. The AC Tavern had yet another IPA that was different than the one at Brewmaster's Taproom but alas when I called to confirm that they had this IPA I discovered that the AC Tavern is now permanently closed. That just left a place in Seattle in the Greenwood neighborhood that may potentially carry Manfish Beer but I had no intention of heading to Seattle that day. So I just got the one Manfish Beer from The Brrewmaster's Tavern. Normally I post a picture of the craft beer I'm drinking to new places I'm reviewing but since I thought I was going to be getting more Manfish Beer that day that didn't happen. So it is what it is. I liked the Pudge The Curmudeon fairly well and hope that in the future Manfish gets their own tasting room where all the beer they make can be accessed in a single location. * Additional note* After finishing this review I saw that maybe in order to get a better idea where Manfish Beer is on tap is to check their Facebook page.

They offer a wide variety of beers - Pale Ales, Pilsners, Red Ales. My personal favorite? Black Jack Moran. It's 9.5% and unlike most dark beers, it's not bitter.
