This place had such a fun vibe!! The theme was super unique and the decorations were so fun to look at. It was pretty busy in there when we went, but we were still able to get sat pretty quickly at a hightop by the bar. It did kind of suck to get sat there after all because our server was the bartender, and she was super busy with everyone there, which of course was understandable just unfortunate for our experience. It didn't take her a long time to greet us, but we hadn't decided on what we were ordering yet so after she took our drinks it took a while for her to come back to take our order. I think she also might have forgotten to put in our order because our food came in at the same time as another couple next to us who arrived around 25-30 minutes after we did. That was another thing: we were sat at a hightop table that they had sat another couple at the other end with a space in between us, but then halfway through they asked to sit another couple in the empty space between us. It was a really tight squeeze and I understand that it was packed, but I just think squeezing three different parties at one table was super uncomfortable and we barely had room for all the food we ordered. The table was already super close to the bar and the people sat behind us had to ask us to scoot in anytime they needed to get by to use the restroom. The food was good!! I didn't get a photo, but we ordered the sweet and spicy teriyaki wings to start which were sooo amazing. My husband said that they were the best wings he has ever had! For our mains, we both ordered burgers and fries. We also ordered a cup of chili, and the appetizer Mac and Cheese to split as well. The burgers were really good, but really kind of small for the price tag. The fries and chili were also really good. The Mac and Cheese looked and sounded really good, but the cheese sauce was super watery. The breadcrumb topping was pretty good, but I don't think that I would order it again. They also have really good sauces! We got the ranch, garlic aioli, and the chipotle aioli. The wings were definitely the best part of the whole experience! I think this place would be a lot better if it hadn't have been so busy. However, I doubt that this happens very often since it is very close to a hotel, and it's one of the only restaurants in that area. But it's definitely worth the try if you are in the area!

The family and I stopped by for dinner on the way to Oktoberfest and was worth the pit stop. My father in-law and I went with the 906 burger in which was very juicy and delicious burger, wife had veggie burger, mother in-law had the prime rib dinner, and our oldest had the Mac and cheese. The Hefeweizen was one of the best I have living in the Olympia/Seattle area and almost gave me that German true taste. Service was great, greeted as we walked in and the food order was quick as the Mariners ALDS 2-2 game was playing. Not being snow season yet the place was very lively and almost full with quest. A great bar/restaurant

Grabed a couple of drinks and fried cauliflower from this place for Apres skis. It's a fun vibe and friendly place. A very nice additional to the Snoqualmie area. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience at The Commonwealth. The food we ordered was absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing. Sophey was very nice and sweet, and she took great care of us. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. We'll definitely be back!

Evening dinner with the Mr. We was seated with another couple who welcomed us to their table. Staff were welcoming and informative with the menu options. The music playing was comforting and mood setting. The food was delicious. They were able to make a substitute for me to enjoy beets with my meal. Most definitely a great choice to dine here.

We were looking for somewhere to eat after a long drive, not many options in the area but we found this gem. Service was great, pretty warm inside, full bar and great food. I recommend this place if you are close by

The Brussel sprouts app was great. The burger was pretty good. Veggie burger wasn't dry and had good seasonings.

We sat outside because we had our pup and they had a plethora of heaters to keep up warm outside (thankfully we had our ski gear too.) I wish I got pictures but the Mac and cheese and tacos were great! I was expecting bar food but it was definitely elevated. Drinks and service was nice!

Nestled in the snowy bosom of the Snoqualmie ski lodge, Whiskey Pete's is less a bar and more a spiritual experience. You don't walk into Pete's--you ascend. The moment you cross the threshold, you're enveloped in a warm, wood-paneled hug of alpine charm. Antler chandeliers, crackling fireplaces, and a playlist that somehow knows exactly what your soul needs. The service? Transcendent. Bartenders here don't just pour drinks--they curate moments. I asked for a whiskey sour and got a handcrafted masterpiece with a citrus twist so poetic it should've come with a sonnet. The staff are attentive without hovering, friendly without faking it, and somehow manage to remember your name, your drink, and your astrological sign by your second visit. But let's talk about the atmosphere. It's après-ski meets rustic speakeasy. You've got snowboarders clinking glasses with retirees in wool sweaters. There's laughter, storytelling, and the occasional impromptu karaoke rendition of "Sweet Caroline" that somehow feels sacred. Now, about the dress code. Or rather, the lack thereof. Whiskey Pete's appears to operate on a bold, avant-garde philosophy: "No shirt? No shoes? No problem." I witnessed a man in ski boots, thermal leggings, and nothing else order a round of Fireball shots like it was the most natural thing in the world. Another patron strolled in wearing only a towel and a ski pass lanyard. No one batted an eye. It's as if Pete's exists in a parallel universe where fleece counts as formalwear and nipples are just part of the ambiance. Is it a little jarring? Sure. Is it liberating? Absolutely. Would I recommend they maybe consider a gentle reminder about upper-body coverage during peak hours? Perhaps. But honestly, it's part of the charm. Whiskey Pete's doesn't just serve drinks--it serves freedom. So grab your boots, maybe a shirt (optional), and head to Whiskey Pete's. It's the kind of place that warms you from the inside out--whether it's the bourbon or the body heat from the guy next to you, you'll never forget it.

Not very busy when I went at happy hour/dinner time on a Friday night, but the place is busier later at night on Friday/Saturday during the warmer months. Sometimes they have events and DJs. Sat at the bar and tried out some happy hour specials. Got the Korean sauce wings ($12) and cheese truffle fries ($8). Decent amount of fries, definitely has cheese flavor but not that much truffle oil aroma. I liked the wings which you get 6 per order. They weren't fried, but rather tender and juicy. Sauce was agreeable. Definitely enough food for my dinner. As for the drinks, I got the rosemary mule which is Moscow mule with some rosemary herb. The copper mug they use is good sized. Tasted refreshing although could feel the alcohol afterwards. Also tried a corpse reviver no. 2, which was a little sweet but has a punch. Cocktail prices are not cheap outside of happy hour, in the upper teens. Overall, was glad I tried the place out. Will drop by for happy hour once in a while.

While reservations aren't technically required, let me save you some heartbreak, make one. They only open reservations six days in advance, and this place fills up faster than brunch spots when the sun comes out in Seattle. Totally worth the planning. The experience starts downstairs at Tavern Law restaurant, where you let the host know you're headed to Needle and Thread. From there, you're directed to a mysterious locked door next to a telephone. Yes, an actual phone. Pick it up, give your reservation name once someone answers, and bam! You're buzzed upstairs like you've just passed a very classy secret test. Once inside, you're greeted and escorted to your seat, and the magic really begins. There's no drink menu because why limit creativity? Instead, the staff plays cocktail therapist, asking about your favorite spirits, flavors, and moods. Based on your answers, they craft a completely custom drink tailored to your palate. Every cocktail we tried was spot-on. Balanced, intentional, and clearly made by people who treat mixology like an art form rather than a guessing game. Bonus points: You can request the coaster they took your order on, which lists the ingredients so you can attempt to recreate it at home (results may vary depending on your confidence and liquor cabinet.) Not to be overshadowed by the drinks, the Sockeye Salmon Crostini was a fantastic fresh, flavorful appetizer and the perfect companion to a night of bespoke cocktails. They have other heartier food as well, but we had dinner reservations elsewhere for the evening. Between the immersive entrance, outstanding service, thoughtful drinks, and authentic speakeasy atmosphere, this isn't just a bar, it's an experience. If you're in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Needle and Thread is a must try.

Instagram : @yeapeats…read more I was excited to try Needle & Thread since it's often described as a speakeasy, but the "hidden" aspect didn't quite live up to expectations. Unlike other speakeasies that feel truly hidden, you actually just walk into Tavern Law, check in with the hostess, and let them know you have a reservation. They then guide you to a telephone where you repeat your reservation name before being let upstairs. It's a fun concept, but not especially secretive, and they're pretty strict about not letting you up early unless it's very empty. Once seated, we actually waited almost 20 minutes before being served with no acknowledgement. We ended up having to flag down the manager just to bring attention to our table, which was disappointing given the experience they're aiming for. The waitress asks a series of questions about your preferences--likes, dislikes, and flavor inspirations--so the bartenders can create custom cocktails for you. If you're knowledgeable about alcohol, this is probably a dream. If you're not (like me), it can feel a little intimidating, but our waitress was patient and did her best to guide us through it. The drinks themselves were excellent. Even the shots were customized, which was a nice touch. The vibe upstairs is chill and relatively quiet, making it a great place to relax and talk. Food is the same menu as downstairs at Tavern Law, so nothing new there. The only downside--and unfortunately a noticeable one--was an interaction with the female bartender (not our waitress). Based on the questions we were asked, my friend gave a mix of savory and sweet preferences, since we were told these were just inspirations. However, the female bartender came over sounding visibly annoyed and said, "So do you want savory or sweet? You're giving contradicting answers." The tone felt unnecessarily rude, especially since we were just following the process as it was explained to us. Overall, the drinks were great and the concept is unique, but between the delayed service and that negative interaction, it definitely put a damper on the experience.
