It's an order from the counter experience with two places to order, and bars with great beer options. The outdoor space is incredibly vast so make sure your kids bring stuff to play with so they can't stay busy for a long time. The chicken curry dish was flavorful and a wonderful recommendation from the lady who took our order. Also the halumi and melon salad was great, but I wish it had more melon. The Food was odd, like my mother used to take left overs and blend them on her plate. Chicken Curry was more like a fajita bowl the, chicken was curry esk and missed on any deeper curry flavors, curry seasoning one note topped sour cream and a sticky plain rice. Just make fajitas if you don't have time Chef. Appetizers we had the Chicken wings with Franks Hot Sauce and Chunky Blue Cheese. The Baked Goat cheese was great , Delicious! Great place for a post-hike beer and dinner (or lunch)! Their tap list is very varied featuring some awesome seasonal and staple picks from local PNW breweries. Counter ordering and pick up allows for efficient ordering. All employees we interacted with were very friendly. The outdoor area featuring mountain views and a beautiful green lawn is so peaceful. The baked goat cheese app was delicious! It has a sweet & spicy pepper topping that complimented the tangy melted cheese so well. Crostinis were on point. My husband loved his brisket sandwich. My Tofu Bahn Mi Bowl was amazing. The rice was shockingly so good and flavorful on its own (I normally don't like rice). The sweet chili sauce was delectable, and all the veggie toppings were very fresh and amazing. Tofu was cooked perfectly, with a very crispy seared outside and a soft, squishy center. What a find! Parking is a challenge, overflow lot was helpful and a nice walk down the fairway to the restaurant. Crowded, no table service and line up for ordering food and drinks. One of the more beautiful cheeseburgers I've seen in a while. Just a happy, crowded, community with kids running and playing around on the old golf course and family and friends enjoying the outdoor tables in the evening sun under the old growth trees. Everything you love about living in the PNW. Burgers are solid, fries are creative and crispy. Chicken sandwich has too much sauce (almost like a chili sauce, like a sweet glaze with a little kick). Back again. We had some friends coming in to town from Cle Elum, so we suggested meeting at this location as they were headed north towards Snohomish. We've been in here a couple times, and I don't think we've ever had a bad meal. Love the beer, selection, always can't find something really good. Awesome Sauce is AWESOME (That's the beer, BTW) We ventured out a little bit on this one, with choosing the wings with a little bit of the sauce on the side. We also had the grilled salmon salad. The only downside of the salmon salad was that the salmon, which was a very large and tasty piece of fish, was overcooked and kind of dry. The wings, were really good cooked nicely, and the sides of the blue cheese dip and Frank's red hot was a really good add-on. Love the outdoor seating, we all sat out there and enjoyed our lunches. Let's not forget to mention the service, they greet you immediately upon entering, and when we went up to order, they definitely are friendly and engaging. The root beer on tap is a must - so refreshing! We came here after a mid spring hike for our first time ever and it was delicious! We had shishito peppers (oh my: the bacon cheese sauce!), caprese salad with stone fruits, kid's cheeseburger with fries and the spicy chicken sandwich with fries. If you're in North bend, trying South Fork is a must! It is the perfect spot to grab a beer, some good food and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Came here with a girlfriend and was instantly impressed. You walk in and order at the counter and then find a table. It was a beautiful night so we grabbed a table outside. This restaurant sits on a few acres and is kid friendly so while relaxing kids have a lot of places to run and place. Luckily it was live music. My favorite. We decided to split the Brussel sprouts and the ban Mi bowl however instead of tofu we subbed salmon. The salmon was a bit overcooked but everything was good. Just being outside, having a glass of wine and enjoying this restaurant will defiantly be a staple whether coming down from a beautiful hike, grabbing a drink with a friend or just a nice place to listen to live music. read more

This cafe looks a little small and inconspicuous on the outside, but the parking lot and inside of the restaurant are full of people! The area is pretty cool, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a sandbox, and a large grass area with a giant sling shot! I got a spam musubi bowl ($23) and a 16 oz London fog ($6) to go. This was the most expensive spam musubi I've seen on a menu, so I was very curious to see how the dish would be prepared. The presentation of the dish was beautiful, and the food was also a decent portion considering its price (the spam slabs are larger than any spam musubi I've tried so far- so much that I wished for more rice to balance the meat!). Overall, the food tasted great, but not good enough to justify its cost. I feel like I'm paying more for the cafe space/ambiance than the actual food. They offer a solid variety of brunch options, including breakfast burritos and French toast. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. The only downside was the potatoes--half were overcooked, dark, and had bitter taste. My friends ordered the breakfast burrito and French toast, and both were excellent. They also have a nice seasonal coffee selection. The matcha latte was pretty decent. They even have a bar for drinks. The space is large, bright, and welcoming. We didn't plan to get a post-hike lunch at South Fork, but as we were passing by it on our way to Rattlesnake Ridge, we figured we'd give it a shot given how popular South Fork is. And it's a good spot for drinks, food and group gatherings with dogs! We visited South Fork after our hike and the place was bustling with hikers doing the same thing. South Fork is very spacious and on sunny days, there's a nice patio seating area with a huge green space for dogs and kids to run around in. I loved how dog-friendly this place is, making me an instant fan. You order your food and drinks at either the bar area or the food counter and then grab a number for when your food is ready to pick up from the kitchen. We ordered the smoked salmon udon bowl and the salmon sandwich with their famous fries and drinks. Everything was solid. The smoked salmon udon bowl was refreshing and light with crispy veggies. But this would've been tastier with fresh salmon versus smoked salmon. And speaking of salmon, the blackened salmon sandwich was good, but the salmon itself was so good that I would rather eat this without the bread and condiments, to taste more of the delicious blackened salmon! The fries are a hit here as they're like jo-jos in a twirled shape that is seasoned well. You'll love them. Overall, South Fork is a great place to hang out in, as the space is inviting, large, and perfect for group gatherings and post-hikes! Lunch after coming back from playing in the snow. It's a fairly large restaurant in North Bend with lots of tables both inside and out. During cold weather, there's outdoor heaters and hot air pumping in so it gets quite toasty. It is super popular so it gets hard to find tables sometimes and the front lot can get busy. You walk in, order your food, pay and get a buzzer to let you know when the food's ready. I'd get a table first. The food... The portions are big! Easily shareable IMO. For what you get, I think it's reasonable. We got the kids cheeseburger with fat curly fries ($14) -could feed an adult! The patty was thick and juicy. Also the white bean and elk chili ($22). Very herby with a good kick of spice. It was more liquidy though- we agreed it was more like a bean soup. Would've been good with rice in it or side of bread. Elk meatloaf on toasted bread sandwich- choice of fries, mixed greens or Caesar salad ($25) The dang thing was huge! Big slab of meatloaf with a good kick from the chipotle and sauce on thick slices of toasted bread. The meatloaf was moist and very flavorful and like I said, kind of spicy. The hit of our table was the braised beef pasta ($24). It was shredded beef tossed with pasta in a bordelaise sauce. Kind of like a stew with pasta. It's was flavorful with the red wine and beef flavors. Def would recommend this dish! I can see why this place is so popular- good food and there is an AWESOME play area outside for kids with play equipment, sand play and lots of fun things for kids to do. After a rainy hike at the Rattlesnake Ledgr Trailhead this was the perfect spot for some cozy delicious lunch.I loved the ambiance it was rustic mixed with a mountain town vibe. Here is what I tried that was a ten out of ten; the bigfoot burger ,the braised beef pasta. Had to top it with one of the best cinnamon rolls i've ever had in my life. They warmed it up and it was the perfect amount of cinnamon and the frosting was so good. There was honestly nothing left and I had to buy more to take with me. I had an interesting drink, which was the Italian soda. Well, I thought it was just going to be sparkling water with syrup. They added half-and-half and it tasted kind of like a strawberry milkshake except it was bubbly. They have different options of syrups, but strawberry was quite delicious. We went here on Father's Day because getting into Seattle was going to be a nightmare, so we headed East to South Fork cuz my husband likes beer. I had been here with friends previously and we all enjoyed our dishes and bevies. I had the chicken curry bowl that time and it was really good. This time the place was hopping with Fathers, family with a lot of young kids. The outdoors was also lively with a huge space where people were playing a variety of outdoor games, even a little volleyball. You could literally set up any lawn game. It used to be the Northbend Golf Course. This time I had the chicken Sando and my husband had the Brat. The hostess gave us fair warning that the food in the restaurant was taking about 45 minutes but the food truck out back was quicker. My husband's brat was ready in about 10 min from the Food Truck and mine took about 30 from the regular restaurant. Regardless they exceeded expectations. And both were good. I'm pretty particular so I wasn't totally blown over by the fried chicken or sauce (it was a sweet-ish honey like) the fried part was not quite as light and crispy as I prefer. You order your food and drink from a cashier and can leave a tab open if you wish. I actually like this method. They have at least 3 places to order from. The bar is excellent! Granted we both stood in line for a combined 30 min. No matter. The beer, wine, and cocktail choices are respectable. To note a few wine options are from DeLille Winery, Great craft beer options, and super fun cocktails--mine being the cherry limeade garnished with a soaked Bing cherry on a pine cone stick. The food? Yep, excellent for pub food as it goes beyond burgers and fried foods. On another note, they had a guy with a mike who had to make two announcements about lost kids. Yes, the place was like a big playground so parents had a bit of trouble Keeping an eye on their rug rats. I think this was also a great spot to take out of town guests. My boyfriend and I stopped by after a quick little Rattlesnake Ridge hike when we noticed a bunch of cars pulled in and figured it had to be worth checking out. For our mains, my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork mac and cheese, and I went with the pulled pork sandwich. His mac and cheese was good overall, but we both agreed it could've been cheesier--it was a bit overwhelmed by the BBQ sauce, which took away from the classic mac-and-cheese creaminess and consistency. Still tasty, just not quite as rich as we expected. As for my sandwich--messy but good, which is exactly what you want from a good BBQ sandwich. It was juicy, flavorful, and hit the spot after being outdoors. Overall, it's a really lovely place to check out, especially if you're already in the area or coming off a hike. While it's probably not something to write home about, we both agreed we'd happily stop by again if we were nearby. It was quite busy at the time we arrived. There was almost no where to park. There wasn't much of a line to order food though. Confused we were told to grab a menu and come back to order when we had decided what we wanted. Once we sat down and looked at the menu we realized we had stumbled upon something pretty amazing. The cocktail menu was fun and delectable, always a plus in my book! The breakfast menu had fun and interesting, dare I say almost foodie like choices. Even the traditional items held a twist. My husband had biscuits and gravy. But the biscuits were seasoned chive and black pepper biscuits and came topped with two over easy eggs. I had the Coned Beef Hash, which was so tasty and tender. It came topped with two poached eggs and also purple potatoes, peppers, onions and fingerling potatoes. My only comment would be it lacked a little seasoning. But when I looked back at the menu it was suppose to come with a horse radish crema. That would have made it perfect. I still loved it, but bummer I missed the sauce. The menu was varied and all the kinds of foods I like - especially salads which are my primary go to when I eat out. My husband got the chicken curry/ delicious. I got the beet salad w tofu. I loved the tofu but it stopped there. The lettuce was fine but the beets tasted "old". But the worst was the dressing ~ it was bitter and I eventually concluded that they were lots of mustard seeds - seemingly mixed in w the chopped apricots. There was no balance to this salad.
