If you've kept up with my reviews or know me in real life, you know that dive bars are my faaavorite. And you know what's better than a dive bar? A dive bar after a hike. My boyfriend and I were looking for a spot to grab a beer after hiking Twin Falls nearby, and came across Mt. Si Pub. It looked exactly like the type of spot that we'd love, and we diiiid! From the outside, this place is very unassuming. Small-ish parking lot. Great views of Mt. Si, obviously. Inside, it's almost like stepping into the log cabin version of a dive bar. Giant rock fireplace, taxidermy on the walls, with dollar bills pinned everywhere. Amazing. If you're looking for a food menu with a ton of options, do not go here. That said, if you like no-frills, reminds-me-of-childhood meals, THIS is the spot. We went with the deli sandwich and the mac n cheese with kielbasa, both of which hit the spot after hiking in the gray, drizzly weather. I noticed they do also have daily food specials - the day we were in, it was cheese and pepperoni pizza. They have fantastic beer options and lots of liquor choices, too. We went with our usual - a Bodhizafa and a shot of tequila with a pickleback (try it, and thank me later). Service was also really great. We arrived right at open, and right after us, the next literally 10 people were all regulars. The bartender knew them all by name and you could tell this is definitely the local hangout. Anytime I'm hiking up in the area, I'll be stopping by Mt. Si Pub after. Highly recommend! read more

Me and a few of my staff went here during a company retreat. We all fell in love with the bartender. Friendly, funny, edgy, and very welcoming. As a bar owner myself, I can say that Mt.Si is the ultimate dive tavern. I mean that in the best possible way. The regulars were also very kind to us outsiders. If you're in North Bend, this should be your go to bar. Forget all those bars and restaurants that were created for fabricated communities. This place is legit and I'm in love! read more

Great small place with friendly service. If you want a place to meet with friends and camp out for a while, this is it. They're super accommodating of parties interested in taking their time. Don't use the website to gauge the vibe of this place. Per the bartender it has not been updated since pre-COVID. It is a dive bar through and through. Small (cozy) and not at all kid-friendly - though photos might lead you to think otherwise. The bartender was nice- even after I asked about several drinks listed on their website drink menu. I basically got laughed at when I asked for the Mt.Si 75 and asked if they had champagne opened already. They do not serve champagne here. And that's FINE, but they really need to update their website and menu. The bartender said people walk in all the time misunderstanding the vibe of the place. That's 100% on them and their misleading website. Service was friendly however. The sweet dog running around was a bonus. The food I saw served was very basic- Chips/salsa, a turkey sandwich and a baked potato, just enough to keep the liquor flowing. Not trying to bury the place at all. Good first experience! We stopped in for a bite to eat and to watch playoff football. Cool place and atmosphere. They were out of quite a bit of items on the already small food menu. We ordered kielbasa and chips which was fine. There was only one person working, not sure if it was the owner, but he didn't have much personality. We are new to the area and plan on giving this place another try. read more

This place is a true gem in the valley. It has an amazing list of local draft beers and other great cocktails to wet the whistle of the regulars and those lucky enough to stumble in. stopped in to grab a drink and a bite to eat, traffic was terrible due to a bad accident on I -90 as we walked in the bartender shouted at us 2 times that we needed to order at the well area. we said we were going to sit she said no order there, so we did and we both noticed that she was either on drugs or drunk. went out to the outdoor area for about 10 minutes, when we went back in my boyfriend said he'd like one more of what he was having and she said how am I supposed to know what you are drinking..... ??? I said to her well what you made him earlier, she then told me I'm lucky she didn't ask for my identificatio. I told her I'm not lucky that you didn't do your job, she then kicked us out. we will not be back at this bar ever again read more

Stopped in for a bite to eat on a Tuesday and found out they have live music every Tuesday and Friday. Great atmosphere, excellent barbecue, and super friendly staff. Really enjoyed hanging out, will be back for sure! read more

Tired of being called a girly girl? Prove 'em wrong with a trip to Mt Si Tavern, where curse words, curmugeony bartenders, cheap beer and Creedence Clearwater Revival and will have you feeling like one of the boys in no time. Mt Si was one of the first and only bars in North Bend during the logging days, and it's definitely stayed true to it's blue collar roots. How special to find a dive bar that hasn't been mobbed by hipsters!...yet. This little red log cabin has all the makings of a proper man cave: pool tables, classic rock, $4 microbrew pints, greasy pub grub, two TVs locked on local sports channels, dollar bills tacked to the ceiling with questionable messages scribbled on them, and a non-judgmental clientele (read: alcoholics warmly welcomed). There are all sorts of signs and posters that remind/ threaten you to loosen up and let your hair down. After a hike on Rattlesnake Ridge, Mt Si makes a perfect pit-stop/ time-warp/ beer break. This place served the worst "barbecue" I have ever had. The "platter" which was tiny came out with two shaved pieces of "tri tip". I mean literally two tiny pieces of meat that were ice cold. The "smoked pork belly" was cold and mostly fat and gristle. cornbread tasted like flour. mac and cheese was gross and somehow oily. potato salad was huge pieces of potatoes and mayo and seasoning sprinkled on top. "half chicken" was flavorless and tiny. Told the manager he served me cold meat and said "oh". That was literally his response. WORST meal ive had in a decade. Managers could care less. As far as taverns by the side of the freeway go, this place is very comfortable. But what makes it special is the staff. Worth the stop!

Decided to stop by after picking up a Christmas tree. Ordered some beers & my boyfriend had a hot dog. Beer was cheap and food was delicious (according to my bf). What a difference a day makes. This place has come way up since my first review. The owner David has done an amazing job bringing this place back to life. The list of items that he re-did, remodeled, replaced and just plain fixed is a mile long. The atmosphere is one anyone can enjoy. Whether a regular or some one just stopping in for quick pint you will always find friendly staff and a great drinks. Not to mention this place is very easy on the wallet. 7+ mile hike up Bandera Mountain & back on the hottest day of the year ... so far. Perfect on its own, but why not top off a great hike, great weather, great company with a cold beer with the locals. Dive-ish inside, which is always comforting if you're not intimidated by tattoos, leather vests and tough women. We followed a crowd of 20-somethings outside to watch a game of horseshoes. This is where Mt Si Tavern shines - you feel like you're in your Aunt's backyard. Green grass, perennials, tall mature trees, picnic tables, lawn games, people lounging around enjoying their brews. Everyone is welcome - whether you live down the street or dropped in on your way home to Seattle after a trek through one of the many hiking trails off of I90. The beers hit the spot and we didn't stay too long after, but I bet I return to enjoy another round. read more

This place is really chill. It's become our go-to spot for when we're out camping along the Snoqualmie and there happens to be a Sounders/Seahawks/Husky game on that we don't wanna miss while out in the woods. The people here are really friendly, and accommodating. We did get a few looks when we asked for the Sounders game on the TV, but it turned out to be a good game and I think we may have actually convinced some of the locals that soccer is a real sport worth watching. They have a good number of TVs, good beers on tap, and a nice back yard area with horseshoes for when it's nice out. read more

Great little bar on the edge of town. You know the one...it's the little tavern you can see from I-90 when you're heading up for a day on the slopes. Drinks are good and the prices are right. Even better is the local crowd you can expect to hang out with when you go almost any night of the week. You'll feel welcome when you walk through the door, so if you're in the area check 'em out. I love this pub! The food is amazing especially the jalapeño poppers. It is a great experience and everyone is so friendly. They go out of their way to make sure everything is right. The back area is big with bright chairs and umbrellas. The cook does a great job and I have never had a bad meal. Nope... in town for the holiday and just wanted a pub to relax and have a beer in. Between the "NRA" sticker prominently displayed on the front door and the bright "Trump 2020" graffiti in the bathroom, it's obvious that three minutes in this place was far too long for me. This is our new favorite place! Everyone was super friendly and our dogs were welcomed with open arms. One of the bartenders even brought them water. The other patrons loved them and even played fetch with them! Their wings were great, perfectly seasoned and cooked right! We got some popcorn to have a snack and that was perfect. It was so nice to be able to hang out with the dogs and have people accept them (pit bull mixes). It's a small place that looks like a biker bar (which it is) but don't let that deter you! Visiting from out of state and stopped off to get something to eat, walked in and was told to order right there and my group and i had no idea what they had and thought it was kind of odd. They said a table was available only to see there was no chairs and waited for another group to finish to be able to sit down. Ordered our drinks and they were good. We ordered the smoked chicken nachos. When they arrived to us it was on a metal tray with paper on it with nachos on it. There was no chicken and no cheese only the queso. Very disappointed in the man the bar and not giving us what we asked for and it wasnt that hard with only having around a handful of items on the menu. Wont be recommended or coming back. read more

Everyone there was friendly, and we had a wonderful time a sitting in their back yard (it really did feel like a back yard!) outside area was grassy and fully fenced (great for our tired dog).
