I stopped by for a beer because this is the "Elk #9 Bar" from Twin Peaks Season 3. This is you classic local dive bar. The bartender was friendly. The beer is cheap, cold and good! I only stayed for a beer before moving on, so maybe if I was there at another time for longer my review would be different... but for my purposes it was perfect. read more

This is a real bar. Definitely a locals bar and has the best bartender in the valley - Naomi. Even if you're from out of town, you'll feel welcome. Cold beer, pool tables, chill patio, and pretty funky. read more

If zero stars was an option I would've choose it! This place is a joke! We came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was completely dead. We just wanted a beer and some food, but after we sat and waited for about 10 minutes, no one came to our table. Apparently the staff or lack there of was busy talking to there buddy's. The staff was just bs'ing with their friends at the bar. There's no way they didn't see us. So we just got up and left. There's no reason for this to of happened if they actually gave a crap about their customers. Oh and the topper was, as we were leaving, the bartender or employee said to us " have a great day" WTF?!?!?? Thanks a** hole for your non- service! read more

First things first: Smokeys has the best bacon cheeseburger in the valley hands down. I am a avid bacon cheeseburger enthusiast, that has scoured the snoqualmie valley over the last 10 years for the perfect burger. I found it and I'm telling the world. Has a great bun, comes with lettuce tomato and onion, thick pepper bacon, 2 types of cheese and a little mayo spread. The burger is a half pounder that still has the finger ridges after grilling! They don't smash them down! It's priced well, comes with fries, and if you are lucky enough to get patty ( who is a class act and easily the best bartender there ) as your server, then you should anticipate having a fantastic time! read more

If you want a comfortable, welcoming "dive bar" atmosphere, this is the spot. Bartenders were great, caught happy hour on a "Mexican Monday" so we had some $3 tequilas, beers in VERY COLD glasses and played some pool. DO NOT SLEEP ON THEIR BURGERS. So yummy! My girlfriend and I came to town from Seattle to see the falls and stay at the lodge. I found this place that looked interesting online. We walked in, sat down, waited to see if a bartender would show up, but after at least 15-20 minutes we saw nobody except other customers, who were enjoying their drinks. So we just left and went to another place instead. read more

Place seemed like it might be kinda cool but the gin and tonic was subpar, mostly tonic with barley any ice. I thought- ok it's a dive so no big deal. That was until I got the bill! $9 for a crappy gin and tonic. Glad I didn't order another, that's a ridiculously overpriced cocktail. read more

I have been to Smokey Joe's only once and was not particularly moved to write a review until I saw that the only one currently on yelp is just vacuous and moralistic enough to be completely worthless. So I will try to give you yelp readers something you can use... Smokey Joe's truly is a tavern - what several years ago you would call a dive, until "dive bar" became hipster speak for "my favorite cool neighborhood place;" Smokey Joe's isn't trying to be cool in that way at all. There are old two-handled saws mounted on the wall, and I suspect that generations of lumbermen that used those saws have downed a lot of beer and played a lot of pool at Smokey Joe's. I would have sworn that a dozen people were smoking inside when I walked in, but after looking around two or three times and finding no lit cigarettes in the room, I figured out that it was just the leftover stale stench of days gone by, before the anti-smoking laws. I can't say that a lot of people wouldn't rule that the place stinks, but I think it's bearable especially since someone finding him- or herself in need of a beer in Snoqualmie post-10pm is virtually without other options... depending on how creative he or she wanted to get. In any case, Smokey Joe's has a pretty nice selection of draft beer that they serve at reasonable prices in frosty pint glasses. Nothing outstanding about the service, but it wasn't bad either. Not gonna lie. This is one of my favorite local bars. They have fun pool tables, darts and a sweet pin ball machine! The bartenders are always friendly and have a great sense of humor. I love to come here to kick back and relax with close friends. I agree on the food! Great french dips, jalapeno poppers and crispy chicken salads! Of course the drinks are great too! It's a 4 star if you're looking for a dive in which to have a few drinks. Beer is cold, and taps are clean. Lack of clean taps has brought down many establishments better positioned than this one, but the same beer here tastes better than the place up the road because they apparently work to keep it clean after hours. My husband and I wandered in here while checking out downtown Snoqualmie last Saturday. The bar was empty when we entered and we were immediately, warmly greeted by Patty. Being from Texas, we informed her that we wanted to try a local beer and she was nice of enough to give us a small sample before we ordered. Patty chatted with us and gave us some interesting history about the bar. The bar is cozy, with a bit of a divey (meant in the best way possible) feel. More people trickled in as we drank and we helped ourselves to some free pool. All said, it was a great experience and Patty was so nice and definitely made this small stop on our Honeymoon very memorable. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer! read more

Great to be a regular here! Always enjoy hanging out with the bartenders and clientele. All very friendly. Many memories here and more to come. The food is great. The only drawback that as of recently, they have been out of my favorite philly cheesesteak sandwich. Best I've ever had. It is easily paired with their waffle fries and homemade ranch which make up my most favorite unhealthy occasional meal. This meal has been hard to get there recently as I've heard there have been owner/mgmt changes. Hopefully they go back to my favorites from a year or two ago to make this happen. I love Smokey Joes! All of the staff are friendly and fun. Lots of great outdoor seating- surprisingly great food. Try the BLT- the bacon they use is out of this world. So glad to live close so I can come here a couple times a week. read more

This place use to be a cool place to hang out. Last time I was there, there was some weird rude guy working who didn't know how to bartend, was kind to all the locals but payed no attention to us, its funny too because he must be in some sort of mid life crisis because he was just palling around with the young locals and seemed annoyed anytime we needed anything. Sleazy dive bar full of degenerates. Bartenders are bitchy and make you feel that you are inconveniencing them for service. There is a lot of drug use here. Only have crappy 23" tube tv's with terrible selection. This bar really needs to change, it is a crap hole in the middle of downtown snoqualmie. Beer tastes like the keg lines have never been cleaned, kitchen is filthy, food is ok, but the additude of the bartenders really ruin the atmosphere. read more

Decent bar, but has made poor decisions on how they treat there customers. Their newest bartender reinforces that, (you can't miss her she's the little girl who's head is always spinning like a top, I believe her name is Courtney). This bar is absolutely going downhill in a hurry and has no real management it can speak of. After a long day of outdoorsy activities, I always want a hearty meal. (Everything tastes amazing after a hike, right?) I went snowshoeing for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and almost as soon as I stepped foot in the snow I was dreaming ahead several hours to the burger I'd eat afterward. I'm particular about where I'll eat after being in the mountains, though. I don't want to go all the way back home; I want to extend the magic of the day by exploring the mountainside towns. Smokey Joe's is in the historic district of Snoqualmie, and it was exactly what I wanted. It's a quintessential local dive bar with a jukebox and pool tables. It's decorated with walnut burls (I think?), harkening back to a local logging history. It was a little chillier than I wanted it to be after getting snowed on. At about four PM on a Sunday, it was mostly quiet. A handful of locals populated the bar stools and booths. My friends and I stuck out some, but we were warmly welcomed. "The burgers here are the best around," our server assured us, and she wasn't wrong. They were massive and very juicy. The burger au jus my friend ordered was waaaay better than a standard French dip. I made several picky amendments to my order ("No raw onion, please, but add grilled onions, mushrooms, and bacon. No bun.") and they were all accommodated without fuss. A great stop! read more

It's a busy, fun exciting place to be. Great people. We had good food. My burger was awesome. The two other people had deep fried chicken that was to die for & the other had a Philly sandwich which was also good. It took a min but it was busy, also the chic. take 15 min. no matter what., the bartender warned us ahead of time. prices weren't bad. They did have a place to go out side. Not the greatest looking beer garden but a beer garden no less. read more

The place has cheap drinks and bartenders with a heavy hand. There always seems to be drama at this bar though. VERY casual.

This is a local tav. It doesn't pretend to be upscale or fine dining. It knows what it is and who its customers are. The staff is friendly, the customers low key, and the food outstanding. If you want fine dining you can walk right across the street to the Woodman. If you want to be treated like a regular and get great bar food at low prices then pull into Smokey Joes. This place should be shut down. The bartender allows violent acts and does not report them, she also takes clientele's cell phones and will not return them to the rightful owner when a call is coming in. read more
