We showed up last night, late, after we'd both been working downtown doing physical work that just wore us out. Sure, we're in our seventh decade, but we both stay busy! And we just didn't want to cook a dinner after we have given out all our energy. So we walked in, and noted that the place is brightly lit and feels homey while also feeling like a place to be comfortable and not worry about who's watching. We went up to the bar to order our food and drinks, and sat at a table with our drinks. We maybe were there about five to ten minutes and our food came out, fresh and hot and with amazing scents of delightful ingredients. I had the Spicy Burger, which comes with a *six* ounce patty, with cheese, lettuce & tomato and onion, and a spicy chipotle mayo sauce and pickled jalapenos on a brioche. I *love* spicy food anyway, and this hit the spot. Spicy enough to fill the craving I had, and juicy enough that I needed a dozen extra napkins to catch all the juices and spices. My wife had the fish & chips. The fish was made with battered cod, and it was flaky and tender to the point of being "fall apart in your mouth" fresh. The tartar sauce was very good, too. And we both were so very pleased with the fries. They cut the potatoes into strips maybe 1/4" thick and 1/2" wide, but then they dip them in beer batter before deep-frying them. They were *amazing* - crisp and hot and tasty, and well seasoned. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and we have made it a plan that the brewery will become one of the local restaurants we will return to often for a good meal after a hard day.

Their website was easy to navigate to find out which food truck would be there and when. We ordered our food first then handed inside to warm up before picking up our order. The space was really spacious and nice. The vibes were warm and cozy with a large TV projector screen playing sports, good music and all types of seating and tables. They have a dog water bowl near the front where you can also get water with clean cups nearby too! You can also tell it is a beloved location as it was getting quite busy and there were children, dogs, and adults enjoying the space and time with one another. We got two 10oz Diamond Knot root beers which was divine! I recently started drinking root beer from breweries and I am a huge fan, as I think brand named root beer is gross. The drink paired really well with our soul food order. The bartender was really polite and seemed to be good friends with his regulars which is a good sign. I asked him where we should put the drinks and he politely let me know to the side of where he served me would be great and there is a sign to put empty glasses as well. We will look forward to visiting when we can as we are all the way from Tacoma but it is definitely worth coming back to!

The Five Forks food truck deserves a high five, it was great. We were there with 8 of us to celebrate a birthday. First of all, the beer selection at the time had 4 or 5 pilsners and the rest almost all IPAs. I get it, IPAs sell but I don't know about the pilsners. The lack of beer variety isn't even the issue as much as NOT ALLOWING FLIGHTS! OMG, YOU'RE A SMALL BREWERY! WHO DOESN'T OFFER FLIGHTS??? I get it, investment in glasses and a little more maintenance BUT YOU'RE A SMALL BREWERY! As a business and finance person, the flights give you maximum margin on your product AND serve as a marketing tool for exposing consumers to your various products. It's actually a negative NOT to have them. Instead, we had to order multiple full glasses and shared the backwash (sarcasm but it was family). Actually you would have more money because we would have all ordered flights and then likely ordered larger of the ones we liked instead of finishing off the stuff that was meh. The beer itself was fine. There was one IPA that had some unique qualities but overall as a whole, they were just ok. Another downfall was that they sell themselves as family friendly, but had a single root beer as the only non-alcohol offering. How about just having some canned soda for the kids? I had inquired in advance about ciders for gluten free options for our celiac and they said "we have ciders" which turned out to be a single cider so that was disappointing as well. The place does have some potential, but untapped at this point.

The chicken had a fantastic mesquite seasoning, paired perfectly with a pickled jalapeño aioli that added just the right balance of heat and tang. The bun was fresh and held everything together without getting soggy, which made the whole sandwich even better. I went with the mac and cheese bowl, and it was pure comfort food done right. The rich, creamy cheese sauce over large shell noodles was excellent on its own, but adding brisket took it to another level. The cornbread crumbles and potato chips added great texture, and a drizzle of Buckshot Honey BBQ sauce tied everything together. Every bite was loaded with flavor. What really stood out was the owner working behind the bar. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaged with guests, constantly checking in and making conversation. You can tell he takes real pride in his restaurant, and it shows in both the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommend Buckshot Honey. We're already looking forward to coming back and working our way through the rest of the menu. And hopefully that chicken sandwich special makes its way onto the regular menu soon.

BUT I do agree the meat was quality and the challah bread bun was absolutely fabulous. However Manfish Brewing does not have their own tasting room and you need to go to their website and select on " Find Manfish" in order to find their beer. There they have several locations in Seattle, Renton and Kent where you can get different selections of their beer. I went to The Brewmaster's Taproom in Renton and got the Pudge The Curmudeon IPA which was very good. I wanted to try some of their other beers in the area that other locations would have that were stated on their website. Unfortunately I didn't get any further in trying their other beers because The Hop Garden which was listed as tapping soon for another IPA did not have it in stock yet. The same also went for The Brick Pub & Grill in Renton which is slated to have yet another different IPA than the one I had and what The Hop Garden was going to get. Same for the North Bend Bar & Grill which is slated for.... you guessed it right... another IPA. The AC Tavern had yet another IPA that was different than the one at Brewmaster's Taproom but alas when I called to confirm that they had this IPA I discovered that the AC Tavern is now permanently closed. That just left a place in Seattle in the Greenwood neighborhood that may potentially carry Manfish Beer but I had no intention of heading to Seattle that day. So I just got the one Manfish Beer from The Brrewmaster's Tavern. Normally I post a picture of the craft beer I'm drinking to new places I'm reviewing but since I thought I was going to be getting more Manfish Beer that day that didn't happen. So it is what it is. I liked the Pudge The Curmudeon fairly well and hope that in the future Manfish gets their own tasting room where all the beer they make can be accessed in a single location. * Additional note* After finishing this review I saw that maybe in order to get a better idea where Manfish Beer is on tap is to check their Facebook page.
