A cute dive in downtown North Bend. Great vibes, great owner, great people. 10/10 recommend stopping in.

For apps we got deer ears and onion rings. Both were good but onion rings won out - would have liked them a little earlier since our entrees came out pretty much the same time but it was a reasonable wait for food all together. Everyone enjoyed the food- Fish tacos were tasty but the burgers we had rated slightly higher- the bacon Swiss mushroom, and the pour house. Parking was easy, there was plenty of seating and a great view out back.

We had spent the day flying from Denver to Seattle, driving home we stopped here for some not too shabby bar food (def the local dive bar vibe, in a good way). Not busy but didn't really expect it to be. A few guys playing pool and baseball on the TVs. Their outdoor area in the back is huge. Some covered area, some not. There is a giant RV wrapped in Seahawk livery, pretty cool. Hubs had the Old Stove IPA and I had my customary Mothers Day Bloody Mary, both were yummy. My Bacon Swiss Mushroom Burger was amazing paired with super fresh tasting giant onion rings. Our son-in-law had the Philly Cheesesteak upgraded with prime rib, he loved it but it could have had more meat, and then they mistakenly charged us double for his order. The homemade chili had a little spicy kick to it. We also all enjoyed the Spicy Mac N Cheese Bites. We will keep this place on the radar for future drives home.

Their website was easy to navigate to find out which food truck would be there and when. We ordered our food first then handed inside to warm up before picking up our order. The space was really spacious and nice. The vibes were warm and cozy with a large TV projector screen playing sports, good music and all types of seating and tables. They have a dog water bowl near the front where you can also get water with clean cups nearby too! You can also tell it is a beloved location as it was getting quite busy and there were children, dogs, and adults enjoying the space and time with one another. We got two 10oz Diamond Knot root beers which was divine! I recently started drinking root beer from breweries and I am a huge fan, as I think brand named root beer is gross. The drink paired really well with our soul food order. The bartender was really polite and seemed to be good friends with his regulars which is a good sign. I asked him where we should put the drinks and he politely let me know to the side of where he served me would be great and there is a sign to put empty glasses as well. We will look forward to visiting when we can as we are all the way from Tacoma but it is definitely worth coming back to!

The chicken had a fantastic mesquite seasoning, paired perfectly with a pickled jalapeño aioli that added just the right balance of heat and tang. The bun was fresh and held everything together without getting soggy, which made the whole sandwich even better. I went with the mac and cheese bowl, and it was pure comfort food done right. The rich, creamy cheese sauce over large shell noodles was excellent on its own, but adding brisket took it to another level. The cornbread crumbles and potato chips added great texture, and a drizzle of Buckshot Honey BBQ sauce tied everything together. Every bite was loaded with flavor. What really stood out was the owner working behind the bar. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaged with guests, constantly checking in and making conversation. You can tell he takes real pride in his restaurant, and it shows in both the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommend Buckshot Honey. We're already looking forward to coming back and working our way through the rest of the menu. And hopefully that chicken sandwich special makes its way onto the regular menu soon.

She insisted I had to pay for two orders of 1/2 lb each, which comes out an extra $5 just because you're paying the premium 1/2 lb price. Such a rip off when I'm literally buying 1 lb of meat. Her explanation was that "you get a discount for larger orders" & I am like "yeah, I am ordering a whole lb!" So I paid for a lb of brisket (@ $39), didn't get any pulled pork, and it was the fattiest brisket I've ever received. I filled out the review when I received my receipt & someone wrote me a really unprofessional and snotty response, which I will share here. I won't ever support this company again & I should have walked out when they wouldn't let me split my lb (while still paying the highest per lb price they offer). Based on the way the owner responds to other 1 star reviews....it's not looking good!, Wow - I used a filter?? Nice try. What filter would show fat that wasn't there? Pls tell me. Keep on deluding yourself to prop up your ego. Editing to give +2 stars for the owner's obvious passion - even though it might be a little misguided. I feel a little sorry for him now. He should focus more on being passionately invested in customer service, not passionately defending his reviews. That's never a good look for any business owner, especially when they try to say people are using filters when there is no evidence of that at all & my photos aren't filtered, I just moved the food around to showcase the fat.

However Manfish Brewing does not have their own tasting room and you need to go to their website and select on " Find Manfish" in order to find their beer. There they have several locations in Seattle, Renton and Kent where you can get different selections of their beer. I went to The Brewmaster's Taproom in Renton and got the Pudge The Curmudeon IPA which was very good. I wanted to try some of their other beers in the area that other locations would have that were stated on their website. Unfortunately I didn't get any further in trying their other beers because The Hop Garden which was listed as tapping soon for another IPA did not have it in stock yet. The same also went for The Brick Pub & Grill in Renton which is slated to have yet another different IPA than the one I had and what The Hop Garden was going to get. Same for the North Bend Bar & Grill which is slated for.... you guessed it right... another IPA. The AC Tavern had yet another IPA that was different than the one at Brewmaster's Taproom but alas when I called to confirm that they had this IPA I discovered that the AC Tavern is now permanently closed. That just left a place in Seattle in the Greenwood neighborhood that may potentially carry Manfish Beer but I had no intention of heading to Seattle that day. So I just got the one Manfish Beer from The Brrewmaster's Tavern. Normally I post a picture of the craft beer I'm drinking to new places I'm reviewing but since I thought I was going to be getting more Manfish Beer that day that didn't happen. So it is what it is. I liked the Pudge The Curmudeon fairly well and hope that in the future Manfish gets their own tasting room where all the beer they make can be accessed in a single location. * Additional note* After finishing this review I saw that maybe in order to get a better idea where Manfish Beer is on tap is to check their Facebook page.
