Fun little place in snoqulamie with friendly staff. Menu looks good but being solo u had the hognaw sandwich (pulled pork) and potato salad. Pulled pork was juicy but could have used more flavor. We love this barbecue joint! Friendliest staff and owner. Adorable shop in an old historical building with a little covered outdoor patio area. It is an honor and privilege to patronize the community businesses in downtown Snoqualmie. This was my very first purchase from Buckshot Honey BBQ: a pound of brisket for $39, along with a full rack of ribs for $30; I left a $6 tip on my takeout order (not warranted), plus $5.80 taxes for a total of $80.80. I did not check the order before leaving the restaurant. Once I arrived home, I called the restaurant to inform the owner, Dave, ( who took my to-go order) that I was not pleased with the quality of the brisket. Sadly, Dave became irate, and not apologetic as I expect. In fact, while I was talking, Dave hung up the telephone~ no integrity, and very bad quality of brisket. I highly recommend Hawks Peak restaurant located at the Snoqualmie Casino; Importantly, the outstanding customer service and high quality- delicious foods are beyond excellent ~ along with amazingly beautiful views of the mountains. Stopped by around 7pm for dinner. There is a small parking lot specifically for the restaurant, but there is a lot of free parking right outside as well. Staff were super friendly. There is a lot of indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. The interior seating area is super cool and very clean. Mixed reviews on our dinner at Buckshot Honey. My husband loved the brisket sandwich. For me, an almost $20 sandwich should be better as I had lots of fat on my sandwich. Rudest lady who works there. I asked her why I couldn't order a 1/2 lb of each meat at the highest 1 lb price they offer (which is $39 for 1 lb of brisket, no sides). She insisted I had to pay for two orders of 1/2 lb each, which comes out an extra $5 just because you're paying the premium 1/2 lb price. Such a rip off when I'm literally buying 1 lb of meat. Her explanation was that "you get a discount for larger orders" & I am like "yeah, I am ordering a whole lb!" So I paid for a lb of brisket (@ $39), didn't get any pulled pork, and it was the fattiest brisket I've ever received. I filled out the review when I received my receipt & someone wrote me a really unprofessional and snotty response, which I will share here. I won't ever support this company again & I should have walked out when they wouldn't let me split my lb (while still paying the highest per lb price they offer). Quaint location with friendly, quick service. Unfortunately, the brisket was almost as dry as the cornbread. The meat wasn't juicy at all and needed to be lathered in sauce just to revive it. The cornbread was like one of those silica packets that absorb all moisture, and the cold butter it was served with didn't help. However, the mac and cheese was a godsend--al dente noodles, velvety sauce, and plenty of cheese stretch. The collard greens were wonderfully zesty and vinegary (which I love). The potato salad was delicious too--flavorful without being overly mayo-y. The pulled pork was great--juicy and tender. They have a small parking lot, but it fills up quickly. Buckshot Honey delivered one of the best casual dining experiences we've had in a long time. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich special, and it was outstanding. The chicken had a fantastic mesquite seasoning, paired perfectly with a pickled jalapeño aioli that added just the right balance of heat and tang. The bun was fresh and held everything together without getting soggy, which made the whole sandwich even better. I went with the mac and cheese bowl, and it was pure comfort food done right. The rich, creamy cheese sauce over large shell noodles was excellent on its own, but adding brisket took it to another level. The cornbread crumbles and potato chips added great texture, and a drizzle of Buckshot Honey BBQ sauce tied everything together. Every bite was loaded with flavor. What really stood out was the owner working behind the bar. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaged with guests, constantly checking in and making conversation. You can tell he takes real pride in his restaurant, and it shows in both the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommend Buckshot Honey. Finally got the chance to stop in and try Buckshot Honey. It didn't disappoint. Two of us split the Uncle Phil, no sides simply because one we had a short hike planned for afterwards. It's expensive, but something that takes that much time to prepare is going to be. Is it worth, absolutely. The meat was smoked perfectly, the peppers and horseradish mayo subtly incorporated, and the macrina roll is so soft that you can eat the sandwich without all of the ingredients ending up on your plate. Well it's time to compare Pacific Northwest BBQ to the Southeast as this Bama Boy made a stop at Buckshot Honey. Down South share horror stories about how bad Pacific Northwest BBQ but what I found was a mix of fact and fiction. What I found was fiction was the brisket. This was terrific brisket as it fell apart easily. It also had the outer trim of fat to add flavor to it. The mac and cheese had humongous shells and was good and cheesy. The potato salad was a redskin variety with whole potatoes in some kind of conglomeration that I really enjoyed. The slaw was pretty good too. There are 2 sauces - a mild, tangy one and a vinegar base. But here comes the fact portion of my review and comparison. I'm sorry if you are the owner and reading this. The pulled pork was dry and tough. I came in late so maybe there is some grace there but it was bad. The baked beans are vegan and I didn't enjoy them. But they were made well. They just didn't seem to have a lot of flavor. The only other thing I can say is wow - this is expensive. I'm not from the area so I don't know about the economy. But one meat and one side for over $20 or just a sandwich for over $20 is over-priced. I have eaten at so many BBQ joints across the South and Midwest (if you don't believe me, look at my Yelp reviews) and there are a multitude that I can get a combo meat plate with 2 sides and a drink for under $20. Overall, go with the brisket over the pulled pork. Some of the sides such as the potato salad and Mac and cheese are great but also be prepared to put some money down for it. read more

A friend and I stopped here looking for a quick lunch, and we were very impressed with what we got at Buckshot Honey! The brisket was flavorful and tender, its wasn't super juicy which was nice because the bread didn't get soggy. The cornbread was perfect! I've done a lot of traveling in the Southern US where cornbread is king and what was served here competes with the best of them. It wasn't brittle and had great flavor. The service was extremely quick and the staff was very friendly. The restraint is not very big in size but has a nice open feel to it with the high ceilings. This is a great spot to eat! Even though I'm a vegetarian and they mostly specialize in meat and barbecue, I found some lovely options. I had the coleslaw which was really flavorful and had a great texture, amazingly seasoned baked beans, and one of the best salads I've ever had! Tried out this bbq spot in Snoqualmie and we will definitely be returning. This is a small place in a historical building that is almost 100 yrs old. Dave's way - great brisket with crispy edges in toasted rye bread and tender meat coupled with all the fixings. It had a great tang to the sauce and the pepper Mayo added a little kick. I got the max and cheese and slaw sides. The mac and cheese was thick and a little cold but still comforting on a Rainy day.
