    Pork belly

Rent's Due BBQ is a North Bend hidden gem! Harrison is great, and we love all of his offerings. He is open Saturdays at 12pm until he sells out (check out his social media for updates) in his yard behind Safeway. This is a grab and go type of place vs sit down. Show up right at opening to avoid missing out. The ribs, for example, can go quickly when folks come and buy them in bulk at opening. Everything we have ordered is delicious, and pricing is very reasonable. The pork belly is one of our favorites. This is one of our favorites food spots in town.

Rents Due BBQ is a true local favorite. While their hours are limited, they're known to sell out fast. Harrison, the owner, is super friendly and always makes you feel welcome. Parking is roadside, with a handful of tables and chairs if you choose to dine in, plus takeout options available. Be sure to follow their Facebook page for updates; they often sell out within just a couple of hours after opening. The menu features brisket, chicken legs, ribs, pork belly jibbles, sausage, and more, with changes posted online regularly. They also sell their signature sauces. Payment is cash or Venmo. If in the area around the time of opening, stop by and grab some delicious grub!

My kids love this place. Great BBQ, friendly hosts, and a bbq smell to die for. Pork ribs and brisket are worth the drive!

I ordered the Tijuana Burrito with chicken. It is supposed to come with rice, cilantro, onions, lettuce, cheese and beans. Unfortunately, it was almost all rice and really bland. There was just one bite of chicken, almost none of their homemade beans and some lettuce. Then they did not seem to have any cheese, but did have some sour cream (maybe they ran out of cheese, but should have told people). The burrito was $19 and no excuse to pack it full of rice. This was really disappointing, the food vendors here are usually excellent (my wife was smarter and had a sandwich from Purple and loved it). Perhaps the tacos or Baja Bowl are better.

It's parked in a lot that's within walking distance of my site and I imagine quite a few other places as when I would look out the window, I'd see a few people ordering each time. I decided to go with the "Street tacos" - It comes with not 3 but 4 tacos, on corn tortillas (instant points for this) and the usual other accompaniments - radish, onion, sauce. I got the 2 asada and 2 Soy chorizo as you can mix and match. The asada was good, not the best I've had when it comes to tacos and the seasoning I've had with comparable tacos, but the soy chorizo was really good. Very impressive flavor. It was about $16 I believe so about $4 a taco, not the most egregious I've seen in pricing, but decent. I also got bag of tortilla chips free, but they did give any salsa. The ones included for the tacos also were pretty small. That all said the food is decent and if you're looking for some food truck tacos and see Isidros, they'll do the trick.

She offered people little samples of dishes and drink even if you were at the back of the line. I sampled the passion fruit tea and ended up ordering it because it has no added sugar with perfect but of bitterness from the tea without the acidity. The fried mochi balls/jing dui were the best ones I've had yet! I feel like small ones are hard to perfect but this was so crispy on the exterior, not overly oily, perfectly sweetened and balanced by the nuttiness of the sesame seeds. The shu mai was also top tier as it was packed with so much pork and shrimp, no fillers detected like flour or anything! So juicy and flavorful and paired excellent with the Lao gan ma-like chili oil they provided. I hope they come to farmer markets closer to Seattle!

We ordered the #3 Happy Meal Combo which gives a sampler of dim sum items + sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves. Everything was traditional and tasted good. The food arrived hot and spring rolls crispy. The price was decent for the items received. The wait was quite long and we were standing outside in the cold rain. Obviously, since it is a food truck, seating and parking cannot really be described. I'd still personally rather eat my dim sum at a real restaurant, but this is a decent alternative when that isn't available.

This isn't your average taco spot--it's where the bold, tangy soul of Cuban cuisine meets the fresh, vibrant heart of Mexican street food. And the results? Nothing short of spectacular. While their menu is full of unexpected delights, the tacos are the undeniable stars of the show. The Perfect Blend of Mojo and MasaWhat sets Mexicuban apart is its fearless approach to fusion. Every taco is a masterclass in balance, utilizing scratch-made tortillas as the canvas for complex, slow-cooked flavors. You won't find tired, generic fillings here; instead, you get fillings deeply rooted in tradition, elevated by the opposing culture. The absolute must-try is the Lechón Asado Taco. It features pork that has been marinated for hours in a bright, tangy mojo (Cuban garlic-citrus sauce) before being slow-roasted until it practically melts. The kitchen then adds a genius counterpoint: a spicy, smoky salsa roja and a scattering of finely chopped, crunchy white onion and cilantro, finishing it with a squeeze of fresh lime. The result is a perfect textural symphony--tender, fatty pork against crisp toppings, and citrus brightness cutting through the savory richness.Beyond the Classic FillingsWhile the Lechón Asado is legendary, the variety keeps you coming back. The Ropa Vieja Taco, featuring shredded beef braised in tomatoes and bell peppers, is rich and savory, paired beautifully with a quick-pickled Cuban onion relish that adds a necessary crunch and tang. Even their vegetarian options, like the Sweet Plantain and Black Bean Taco, feel inventive, utilizing the starchy sweetness of the plantains to complement the earthy black beans, all tied together by a mild, creamy avocado crema. Each tortilla, clearly made by hand, has that beautiful, slightly chewy texture and corn flavor that defines an authentic taco. They hold up perfectly to the generous, juicy fillings without ever becoming soggy.Final Verdict: Go, Try, DevourMexicuban doesn't just make amazing tacos; they make tacos that tell a story--a story of two cultures meeting on a small, perfectly grilled corn vessel. If you are looking for a flavor adventure that delivers excitement and deep, comforting satisfaction in equal measure, look no further. Mexicuban's tacos are revolutionary and easily earn a spot among the best in the city. Just be warned: you won't be able to stop at one.Rating: 5/5 Stars
