Today was my first time coming to Herfys in years because a friend swore to me that they've gotten better, so I checked it out. First off, it was pretty darn good overall. Leaps and bounds better than it used to be. The whole time I was there I was comparing every item to Scott's Dairy Freeze, who is clearly Herfys biggest competition. So how did they fair? First, Scott's always has a line on hot days, sometimes a very long one and you'll be waiting for 15-20 minutes to order. There was no line and we ordered right away. They had a wide selection of burgers and I got the bacon sourdough burger with fries and onion rings and a Blackberry milkshake. The burger was great, especially for the price. It was too saucy, but otherwise no complaints. All told, it was MUCH better than the burgers I get from Scott which taste ok but also feel like a heart attack going down. Herfys burger for the win! However, Herfy's fries were mediocre. They were McDonald's style, which I'm not a fan of. Scott's has battered fries that are fantastic. Scott's fries blow Herfy's out of the water. Onion rings though go back to Herfy's. They are panko breaded and crunchy. Not much seasoning, but solid. I would have loved a little seasoning on it, but even so, these were far better than what Scott's has to offer. Finally, the milkshake. This is what Scott's is famous for, but I gotta say, I enjoyed my blackberry milkshake from Herfy's just as much as the milkshakes I order from Scott's. Im surprised by this, but I think it's a tie. Herfys may even squeak by with a win because Scotts does a terrible job of mixing in their flavors or malt (it's always a clump at the bottom for me). I will absolutely go here again. Hopefully they read this review and change their fries though. If Herfy's can match Scott's fries in quality, and can keep their buns from getting soggy, then Herfy's would hands down be the superior choice to Scott's. read more

Just at the edge of the local high school and the food is clearly designed for the high school crowd or for quick in and out. Burgers, fries, fried mushrooms. Nothing appears to be homemade, but it also appears to be a great hangout after school and into the early evening. read more

Food was great, banana malt shake was awesome. Clean space/bathroom. Prices a bit high but I chalk that up to WA state's treatment of businesses, not reflective of the business owners. Driven by multiple times and wanted to finally try it out. Very glad I did. read more

This is a quaint little burger joint in between Snoqualmie and Northbend WA. If you are in the area and want an old fashioned thick juicy burger this is a must stop. Spendy, but worth it. Under the new management, everything has taken a positive turn! Dine in or carry out, Herfy's Burger menu has burgers to seafood, kids' meals to shakes, and wings, the menu offers an awesome variety of combo styles. BTW, the fry sauce is delicious. There's a dedicated parking lot right in front of the store. Herfy's has both indoor and outdoor seating options. There is also a public restroom available inside. After 48 hours of only eating instant mashed potatoes, dried mango, and granola bars, we were four girls on a mission to get some good food in our stomachs upon returning from a backpacking trip. Herfy's was one of the first burger joints to pop up on our map, so we raced there after loading up the car with our gear. When we arrived, we knew instantly that we had made a good decision. It smelled like french fries and burger grease, and the menu was expansive enough to have something for everyone in our group! I could barely decide which milkshake I wanted among the 20+ options. Our food came out within five minutes of ordering, which was just what we needed. The first bite into the curly fries was life-changing. Dipping the fries in my strawberry milkshake brought me more joy than I've experienced in a long while. We shared a corn dog, which brought us back to memories of going to the fair as children. The gals in our group who got burgers agreed that not even a Michelin star restaurant the top them. It seems we have a new go to spot for post hiking and backpacking in the summer and post skiing and snowboarding in the winter. We are Herfy's biggest fans, and we will certainly be back! read more

We stopped by during after a day of snowboarding at snoqualmie pass, not realizing it was superbowl Sunday. The staff was very friendly and even had the game on for all of us to enjoy Food was made quickly and very good. The fries were also a good portion so my husband and I split it. They were out of a lot of milkshake flavors, but my kids still had plenty of other options that they loved. Chocolate and mint milkshakes were big hits! Burgers tasted good, toppings were fresh, so overall great experience! The staff even made us a free mac and cheese bits which was very kind. They were okay, tasted more batter then the cheesy mac and cheese. I wouldn't go out of my way to get a burger here, but if I was nearby, I would definitely stop in again. read more

The only reason not five stars is tables were dirty, slow to clean up. Otherwise, a great spot right on the hwy to and from Snoqualmie Falls, with friendly service and good eats. Part of a building that has obviously been used for other things and a section of it is currently empty; don't let that dissuade you - the burgers here are good as are the fries. I especially recommend the bulgogi burger if you want a bit of sweet Korean bbq. read more

Just happened to discover this spot while meeting up with family on a road trip when we needed to stop for a bite. It was surprisingly busy, which is always a nice sign; and the staff was really friendly. The whole family ordered a ton of food, 2-3 burgers, chicken strips, and calamari rings. The food was decent. the portion size is probably the main draw here at a very affordable price. The whole family ate for less than 70, which is pretty unheard of for how much food it felt we had. Nice, polite service and good, clean food. It's a burger joint, so enjoy, have some fries with it and go for a combination. A little too heavy with the burger sauce made the sandwich a bit messy to eat, but heck, it was a burger, and we both enjoyed it. During the summer of 2020 when it seems that anything that could be bizarre has been bizarre, we decided to do a burger quest around the state. We happen to find this place both because of reading about it online and because it was one of the few places open on a Friday night after 7 PM! It's housed in an old building that reads "Milk barn" up top. Apparently this place has been used for farming and, more recently, was a candy store. Housing the current burger spot seems appropriate! The place was an interesting dichotomy - it's both newer feeling than I was expecting and had an old time feel. It's like a barn and a burger spot had a baby. We grabbed a double bacon cheeseburger for our #washingtonburgerquest and it was a solid beef wagon! A solid handful with good flavor and some delicious fries. I was craving a burger and onion rings, and I decided to stop by this burger joint that is right off I-90. This is a great spot for fast food. I got avocado in my burger and I love the sesame bun. My burger patty was cooked well, not too dry and not too salty, just how I like it. The onions rings were fried to perfection. They were served hot and crispy and the onion actually bites. I don't like when the entire onion is pulled out when you take a bite. I got a peanut butter/chocolate shake, which was also good. The place is clean and the service is good. We've driven by here so many times when taking the back roads home to North Bend and we would always comment how we need to stop there because it's probably delicious. We drove this road every day during our move to Monroe and on the last drive we said now or never and even though we figured gluten free might be difficult to order, we didn't let that stop us! They were just about to close for the evening and were nice enough to jump back into the kitchen and make my husband a cheeseburger. I didn't want to delay them heading home by asking about gluten ingredients so I just went for what I really wanted- dessert! The banana milkshake I ordered was fabulous. Creamy and not overly sweet, I quickly destroyed it all. The husband followed suit and devoured his burger in the parking lot saying he wished he hadn't waited so long to try this place. While it's definitely not a place our waistlines or cholesterol want us visiting frequently, it really is the perfect little treat for special occasions and indulgences and we really appreciated the amazing service with it being so close to closing time. read more

Gave this place another shot after noticing an "under new management" banner out front a couple months ago. I am so happy that Herfy's is back! Staff was attentive, and the place was relatively busy. Family came in to order after me and the kids were very particular and took awhile to decide what they wanted; the gentleman taking their order though was patient and never rude; the complete opposite of my last experience under the previous management. OMG have things changed. New owners or management maybe. Regardless, the wonderful Korea trio whom I complimented before are totally gone. Instead there's a somewhat snotty woman at the counter who thinks it's your problem if you can't find the salt. Service now 1 out of 5. The fries came out cooled and the burger as well so it lost its uniqueness. And i didn't dare have the lady make a milkshake for me after all that. Food now 2.5 out of 5 and totally, meh. We came here after a hike and had a Cheeseburger, Garden Burger, Curly Fries, Onion Rings, Chocolate Milkshake and Butterscotch Milkshake. The wait was super short and the food really, really good. I was very happy to see that they have several vegetarian burger options on their menu (which isn't often the case..) and really enjoyed my Garden Burger. The sides were great, too. We picked the medium size and we're surprised how big the portions were! The onion rings were very crispy and didn't have that raw onion taste so even I (not an onion enthusiast) liked them! Herfy's Burgers is an interesting place. The server at the counter was generally uninterested and matter of fact...Not necessarily rude, but definitely not kind. As for the food, it wasn't bad at all. I ordered the double cheeseburger. It was a thick burger with the right amount of condiments. They also have a few condiment options in the fridge for your fries. Speaking of fries, they were cooked to perfection. Not too soft but not burnt to the crisp. Now, I have a sense that they are frozen bags from Costco or something as they weren't anything special. Still, well-cooked fries are all you can ask for at a place like this. Do not waste your time nor hard earned dollars on this place. I ordered up the fish and chips to try something different than their unbelievably greasy burgers. Mind you the cost on the fish and chips came out over $15. What I got were "two" three by two inch pieces of Walmart "Great Value" brand frozen fish with 27 french fries. No cocktail nor tartar sauce included. Nothing. Zilch. It was so insulting that I handed it right back to the cook and told him to keep the money. Stay clear of Herfy's.
