The little man I nanny for wanted French fries for his birthday lunch. I wanted to find a new spot, so we searched on Yelp and came across Pickle Time. From the moment we walked in, I knew it was the right place. We were greeted at the register and had our questions answered and order taken with a smile. Once our order was placed, we found a table to sit at. The space is small but clean and minimalist so it feels roomy. The food came and the kids couldn't even wait for the fries to cool down. The small fries order is actually the perfect size for 2 small children. I ordered the cheeseburger (comes with fries) and it hit the spot. I think I will be trying out some of the other burgers in our future visits! There were coloring supplies available for the kids and they loved that they could make art while they waited. You can even hang your art on the wall! Both kids said they wanted to come back again and were so happy that we found a new spot. I've certainly eaten at a lot of burger places. I guess I was expecting more given the current rating and the glowing reviews. I got the California burger. It was fine, but nothing to write home about (just on yelp. :-)) But the burger didn't have much flavor and the meat patty seems like it came from frozen based on the texture. You do get two full size strips of bacon. They try to show them off by having them stick halfway out so you need to pull the bun off and fold the bacon onto itself. Have mixed feelings about that. Kind of a novel idea but you get messy fingers as a result. Bacon is average thickness. Burger is neatly assembled and easy to eat (minus folding bacon). Fries are nice and crisp. The quantity is maybe in the small side. Tartar sauce is good. You get one before they charge. For what you get in quality and quantity, kind of spendy. Place is very clean. People pleasant. Place gets patrons. I would try other spots before going back to this place. read more

Visiting from Tacoma we took a drive to Sunflower festival then came here for lunch. The food was delicious. I ordered the mushroom burger without LTO extra pickles and wifey had the Hawaiian burger w/o bacon both burgers were sooo good. Fries were fresh too bad we didn't get shakes or smoothies but next time. The staff was really nice and the store was clean. There's cool drawings posted on the wall from kids/adults and they are of pickle drawings (super cool) there is a self serve ketchup, HS (House Sauce) dispenser area and you can help your self. parking is located around the area. Stopped in on our drive home after a hike and picked up our phoned in order. The to-go process was quick and efficient and we paid at pick up. Burgers: solid, fast causal style. Reminded me a bit of the Habit. Always love a place that offers avocado and the California burger hit the spot. My wife ordered the Hickory burger and said it was tasty with the onion rings and BBQ sauce. Fries: good taste and pretty crispy. There were only a couple of ketchup packets available, but not a big deal. Overall, we had a good experience and it's always nice to support a local business. Came cause of the name and was happy we did. It was a busy night for them, especially phone orders and our order took 30 mins. Worth the wait. It's around a good area so went for a stroll. Took for take out but very clean bathrooms. Pretty big indoor seating. Staff was so sweet and kind! I gave all the food a 10/10. The burger meat was super juicy and flavorful. The bun was toasted and fresh ingredients. The fries were nicely fried. I did order the fried pickle(no photo) and was surprisingly pleased. Good flavor and crispy. The chili cheese fries were not over oily which I love and you got big chunks of beans and meat. They have a pretty big menu and also have milkshakes! Based on the reviews we thought we would try something new & unfortunately we were very disappointed. The "spicy chicken" sandwich. Was a frozen chicken patty with about 15 jalapeños slices. The breading was literally sliding off the patty bc it was wet. My husband got a hamburger that tasted freezer burnt. The fries were overcooked & basically just crisps. Wonderful burgers and fries. We thought the pickle bites were a little underwhelming. And for $9 an order, it didn't come with even half a bag full. We probably wouldn't order these again. The fries were seasoned perfectly with a fair portion that came with the burger. I'm not a huge fan of fries so I'm definitely not the type of person that should be reviewing fries. They did seem like most other fast food/diner fries. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and I almost couldn't finish it! But I persevered, haha! It was tasty and well made. Lots of fresh toppings and a toasty toasty bun! It was really satisfying. Not the best burger ever but worth the $12-$14 price tag. We came to this place around 1pm on a Saturday so it was pretty busy. It caught our eye because it had outdoor seating so we could give the dogs water and have them sit with us in the beautiful sunshine. They love fries more than me! Win win! I ordered the Cheddar Cheese Burger it comes with Pre Seasoned Fries, you can substitute for onion rings for an extra charge, it comes on a toasted bun, house dressing, red onions, I like them grilled which is an extra charge which I thought was a bit much, it did have green leaf lettuce, tomato and pickles, its a pre-made frozen patty from my understanding with a char-broiled flavor. The Service is pretty quick they bring your food to your table you can eat inside or outside, onto the food you would think that since there name is Pickle Time they would have there own handmade version sadly No, all there sides are Frozen Pre-Made, but they do have a selection to choose from, and service your self soda beverages. We ordered on one tag 5 items. The first order came in about 10 mins. Not bad but then Over the next 40 minutes our second wrap sandwich still was not delivered Despite inquiring where is the second wrap? To add insult our order which was #1028 The servers were delivering orders as high as #1037. The table next to us was #1029 and as we were about to leave they finally received their last item which was a hamburger. I watched several burgers come out and go to orders with number higher than ours. The kitchen staff clearly has no clue on running a restaurant and trainning is clearly needed. The menu is quite large with the variety of hamburgers they have, along with wraps, fish, hot subs, and apps. They have 18 type of hamburgers, 1 veggie burger, and 2 fish burgers. There's 14 wraps and 8 hot subs to choose from, along with the sides. They serve shakes, smoothies and have a kids menu. Their sides include hot dogs, fried pickles, fried mushrooms, chicken nuggets, jalepeno poppers and more. Absolutely fantastic burgers and fries. My family stopped in on a visit to Muddy Boots farm. We ordered 3 Sunshine burgers and a spicy chicken sandwich. All came with fries. All were about $13.99 per plate. The burgers were fantastic. Crisp bacon and a perfectly fried egg on top. Can't go wrong and you won't with this spot. Hey, I'm sorry to have to alter my review from before, and I hate having to give 2 stars to any business. It can't be easy to own a restaurant. I believe the ownership has changed since I was here last, and I'm afraid the charms are gone. If you're wanting a burger and fries that are better than McDonald's, then you might be happy with this place. The patties seem to be the frozen sort that fast food restaurants usually use, and the toppings are pretty much what you expect. So it's not terrible. The fries, which used to be something special -- a crispy coating that made them unusual, like they might have used the batter from the fried pickles? -- aren't special anymore. They're basic, okay French fries. They've taken down the children's drawings, which I understand, but they haven't replaced them with anything, so it's just a cold, joyless, white cafeteria feel to the space. The old owner used to serve the food herself, and she seemed to enjoy chatting with the customers, but there's none of that here anymore. Perhaps they're still adjusting to the routine and figuring things out? But we were told that if we didn't prominently display our number, we wouldn't get our food. Then we were disappointed to find that our milk shakes wouldn't be served until we were almost done with our burgers and fries, and almost thought they had forgotten our order. Sort of ruins the experience. Oh well, maybe they'll get their act together and maybe this was just a bad day for them. Do get the pickle fries if you eat here. These, at least, make for a novel experience. Otherwise, you're certain to forget the meal ever happened. read more

Pickle Time is at least a weekly stop for my husband and myself. I love the Bacon Cheeseburger with their high quality fries and my husband is a huge fan of the Chicken Caesar Wrap. Sometimes we add some mozzarella sticks to our order. They have great milkshakes as well, I'm especially enjoying the candy cane seasonal one. The customer service is excellent and friendly. While we rarely eat in the restaurant, preferring to call our order in and eat at home - the ambiance is homey and comfortable.
