What a great spot this place is. I've been here a couple of times and love the chill vibe of this bar with high quality restaurant cuisine. While you can enjoy your fish n chips or burgers and fries with a brew, they also have ribeye and mushroom risotto. The options on their menu really have some great variety. They don't have allergens indicated, but the server I've had both times has been great at clarifying what is gluten-free for me. I've enjoyed salads and the risotto here and both were great! Warning: This place can get really, really loud. I think it might have to do with the fact they knocked the wall out between the restaurant & bar to expand seating. Top notch quality juicy beef on a hearty pub bun with all the fixings. Devoured our wings and dinner. Big thick cuts of bacon in the BLT with avocado with your choice of regular fries, sweet potato fries or both for a buck 50 more. The bar is pretty tamed mostly locals it didn't have a tavern feel. Still feel like a family establishment. They ran out of sandwich bread and offered to sub with focaccia bread and the owner made sure it tasted good. My hubby thought it was excellent. I live local to the grill but hadn't been there in a really long time. I recently joined some friends for dinner and noticed the remodel. They took out the wall between the bar and the restaurant and it really helped liven up the restaurant. It did make it a little on the noisy side, so if you are looking for a quiet dinner it might not be the move, but we enjoyed it. I had the cheeseburger and it was delicious. Breakfast at 9am on a Saturday and we were sat immediately, there was only about 3 tables open. I had the Light breakfast, bacon is delicious and cooked perfectly with crunch and softness, 2 eggs, 1 slice sourdough bread and potatoes, serving size was perfect. My family and I have been coming he for years. We were here long before their expansion. We always enjoyed the food and felt taken care of. We even brushed off the fairly high price hikes. But tonight after standing at the front waiting to be seated with 4 tables open and Multiple staff ignoring us we were acknowledged after about 10 minutes. When I asked if we could have an open booth that was clean the hostess got huffy and wouldn't seat us. We were instructed to wait LONGER as they wanted to seat others that came behind us. They do not take reservations by the way. We left and when I called to complain to the "manager" he informed me they can't seat everyone at once. No apology, and we were the only ones for 10 minutes waiting. The dismisseivness and rudeness is enough. We will NEVER return to this over priced establishment. read more

Unexpectedly stopped by here while passing through Duvall's adorable Main Street. The food and service were both great. We didn't know they closed early on Sundays and we walked in minutes beforehand. They didn't say anything and served us with a smile anyways. I'm a fan of this place. Anywhere you can witness the magic of a yorkie being worn as a back pack is worth a minimum of three stars. Aside from the puppy-á-porter this place has solid consistent food and good service. I've been in a handful of times and always enjoyed myself. Had some burgers, some eggs benny, pancakes, fries... all kinds of things and they were all pretty good. The service is always great. Nice servers with a smile (even with my table of me and my annoying friends) and quick. They have some good beers on tap and I enjoy their bloody marys and they're never slow to get you served. This isn't the place to go if you want kraft this or high end that, but that's not what they are selling you. Solid food, consistent service, some cool art for sale on the walls and a nice mix of fun people having a meal (especially in the bar!). He barked back at me "I need a few minutes". A few minutes later the bartender came and told me he could seat me in the bar. I ordered a Porter and the Fish & Chips. I gave three stars because, even for a person that is always pretty happy with what is available on the menu, the food was moderately disappointing. The Garden patty seems to be made of white rice and cheddar cheese. No flavor in the burger, just piles of shredded lettuce. I was expecting more flavor for a small restaurant which could easily source local produce. No beer list was available when I came for lunch, even though the taproom is connected right next door, and was open. The server was friendly, and could list the beers after I described my preference, but didnt make up for the lack of list, with an actual taproom of 20 beers twenty feet away. The house side salad consists of garden lettuce, one tomato, and greasy croutons out of a bag. If you're looking for good variety and flavor, go somewhere else. read more

Food is standard bar/diner fare: burgers, sandwiches, soup, salads for lunch/dinner and egg dishes, potatoes, pancakes, etc at breakfast/brunch. They have 10 craft beers on tap plus some nice bottles and a regular assortment of cocktails and other beverages. Prices are quite reasonable and the staff is all super friendly and helpful. Wow, reading the reviews you can see who appreciates good food, and who's a tad entitled. Complaining about, and knocking off stars based on the dislike of the individual creamers that were provided for coffee, and the waiter's outfit, is silly. But anyway, we happened upon this little gem after our son's baseball game. The service was wonderful, and while yes, it took a while for the food to arrive, it was well worth it. We enjoyed it so much, that we returned a couple of weeks later for dinner with my mother in law. The food and service was just as wonderful. My MIL ordered the étouffée, something she couldn't pronounce, and had no idea what it was. She LOVED it! She literally cleaned her plate and wanted to order another to take home (unfortunately they ran out of crab cakes so she'll have to come back for more another time). My husband tried the brisket and grits, melt in your mouth and so flavorful. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, which in my opinion, was a tad dry, but tasty. We also tried the penne gorgonzola- my picky 10 year old loved it, as did we. On our previous visit, we had ordered the blue and bacon burger, avo burger, and fish and chips with side salads with blue cheese. Their blue cheese is homemade and fantastic! The fish was flaky and cooked to perfection, and the burgers were juicy and flavorful. We were thoroughly impressed, and grateful to have found this little place in this little town. My spouse had Brisket and grits and I had Shrimp and grits. The grits are wonderful. Light and creamy just meant for a great topping. The brisket was fall-of-the-bone tender and juicy. The shrimp and grits were the star!! Green onions and sun dried tomatoes with 7 tender, flavorful shrimp in a beautiful shrimp sauce. Oh yes yum!!! This is a very charming little spot on the main drag. Never been to Duvall before, but it's quite nice--they have the small-town vibe working for sure. This place doesn't oversell that at all, but it still has a relaxed feel that's very hard to duplicate in town. There's a bar side and a restaurant side. The restaurant serves breakfast until 2:00, and it looks like it's the breakfast champ in this town. They had a steady stream of customers on the sunny Saturday we were in. There are maybe half a dozen booths, a few tables supplementing that. There's a brief menu with sandwiches, burgers, and salads; the other side shows omelettes and scrambles and hashes. Everything's quiet and cool and low-lit; very comfortable setting for sure. The staff here are incredibly warm and sweet--you feel so welcome and it's such a pleasant ambiance. I really dug all the servers. I had a cobb salad that was tasty--not a complex treatment or anything different about it, but the ingredients were fresh and well-assembled. Prices here are not screamingly cheap but they're perfectly reasonable. The bar side looked friendly and inviting; they have a small sidewalk patio, plus booths and stools and whatnot inside. They have a full bar plus about 10 taps. They get some decent kegs; there were Firestone Walker and Black Raven signs and empties around. They didn't have anything spectacular on tap when I looked in, but they're quick to offer samples and the staff was super nice; so were the folks at the bar. I am so happy we have such a good small restaurant here in Duvall. Went there with my friend and we be got hamburgers and sweet potato fries. The sauce they put on the hamburger is sooooo good. The fries were perfect, not too dry or soaked in oil. The portion is huge. So, it you are like me that do not eat a lot, you better share your meal. I am not sure how is he meal share rule they do, but next time j will ask.
