Take everything you associate with a standard "brewery" and toss it out the window. This establishment astounds with its complex and unique beer offerings, and you'll find yourself surprised by what flavors they wring. The Coopers Drake is hard to describe flavor wise, as is the Braie Noir. It's not a rye flavor, not a porter, not an amber, but presents as a series of complex yet sweet flavors with a hint of whisky. The Braie was sour and sweet like a granny Apple pie. I could be content with either one. My missus who doesn't take a shine to porters or stouts absolutely loved both. Tuscan bean rosemary soup was the perfect accompaniment, and before you whine about $10 bread service, theirs comes with salted creamy butter, fig jam, candied pecans and apples and the tastiest country bread you've had. Service was excellent - the server letting us try several offerings and giving detailed descriptions. We can't wait to return. Been driving by this gem for years but only stopped today and now wishing I had stopped by earlier. read more

What a great spot in Duvall, right on Main Street. The patio area is really cute and at sunset, it was even more beautiful. Servers were very attentive, beers were good, and food was good too. There were out of a couple beers and a food item, and the beer menu is already on the smaller side, but it was still great. read more

I was in Duvall for a winery event and got there a little early... so of course I had to check out the local brewery! This adorable little spot is in a pretty location, and the interior is just the right combo of soft-meets-brewery, with warm lighting, lots of wood, and plants. I was the first customer in the door when they opened at 3pm, and grabbed a Mexican Lager from their extensive and creative tap list. It came topped with a fresh slice of lime, and was cool and crisp. It would make the perfect beer for a Summer boat trip or camping. Later, my intern and I stopped by again (hey... when in Rome) and she enjoyed their lime fez sour while I liked their malty-meets-hoppy red ale. Owen at the bar was fun to meet. He knows a lot about the local beer scene and clearly loves what he does! The beer garden looks like it would be a fun place to hang out, too, once nicer weather arrives. Next time I find myself in Duvall, I'll try to get there early again so I can stop by and try some more of their beers. read more

Long story short: we've been here a few times and love the beers and vibes. During this most recent visit, we were very disappointed with the service. We were greeted very rudely to begin with and I assumed the employee was just having a bad day so I didn't think much of it. However, I observed she was friendly with all of the other customers she talked to after we walked in. She made her way to our table, avoiding eye contact, not giving us a second to say "Hi" or smile at her, and rushed the menus at us. She tried to speed away without asking if we wanted to start with drinks. The husband didn't realize she was already speedwalking away and said "we're ready to order drinks" and she walked backwards to us, barely speaking, took our order and then speeds off again. It wasn't busy enough for her to be running around so much so I was confused why we received such rude treatment. She comes back and says in an obviously raised voice, "What do you want?" I assumed she was asking about food so I said the first appetizer and she starts to walk away again as I say "and the pretzel." At this point, I just wanted to leave but tried not to let this poor treatment ruin our night so I stayed. I'm just glad she didn't deliver the appetizers. The other two staff members were polite and cordial. We decided not to have dinner here after that treatment and went to another place in town for dinner. Overall, I'll need to recover from the rudeness to consider returning. read more

On a sunny day in Seattle - felt like going on a long drive and landed at Valley Brewing House and it was the best decision ever! We ordered their charcuterie board and soft pretzel with their house beer cheese and mustard sauce and stuff tasted amazing! For the beers, we tried the following options and loved it all - White Saison, Lime Fez, El Solo Mexican Lager, Squirrel Nut Dunkenweizen, Good Neighbors Imperial Stout & Jetsam Juicy (wasnt our fav)! We loved everything we tried except for the Jetsam Juicy which wasnt my kinda beer but my husband did enjoy that! This is a lovely brewery around 45 mins drive from Seattle which serves great food as well! There is ample parking right in front of the brewery or in the back lane 2 mins drive from the brewery! Service was excellent and fast! I loved the location of this brewery and will be back again pretty soon with my folks! Highly recommend! read more

Andy, We have been patrons for years, love the food and friends but tonight when we sat down, it was super chilly inside. We ordered beers and asked if the door could be shut since it was 7pm and barely 40 degrees. The waitress told us no, that it was more welcoming and she would get in trouble if she closed it per the management. I overheard another table complaining about how cold it was. I had a heated vest on and winter hat but the longer I stayed I couldn't feel my toes. I asked for the tab, paid for our unfinished beers and headed to another local establishment for dinner. Disappointed and can't say I'll be back til Summer. It was simply too uncomfortable to sit in the cold temperatures inside. Wish you the best. read more

Been coming here for 4-5 years now and the beer has slowly drifted in quality. The service however made up for it, lovely waitresses. But now it has this quiet vibe. New workers that don't seem engaged. Last time I will probably stop by before testing out on later date down the road. Prices haven't increased too much since pre covid. The chef has been there for a while and does a great job. I was in on Sunday and the service was pretty slow. I ordered chips and a salad. 25 minutes goes by and I ask how the order went to the new waiter. He said "oh I think it just came up". Then look over at his bar counter which is full of like 6-7 dishes that hadn't been run out to tables/ready to be brought out. We came here in the afternoon to relax with some beer after a long day full of fall fun & corn-mazing. Parking was a bit tough to find because the lot was full, but we found one spot on the street next to the building. I love the outdoor seating! The tables are spaced out well, there's a great view of the forest which was especially nice because of the autumn leaves starting to change color. It was just a pleasant vibe overall. The waitress was super friendly and explained the beers well. We ordered the Senescence Amber and Tolt IPA. Both were good but I'm not a huge IPA person, so I preferred the amber. It really was rich malty goodness. We also got the soft pretzel. It came with awesome beer cheese and mustard sauce. I expected to like the cheese more, but I would say these were both equally delicious. I would love to come back when I'm in the area to try other beers and food. Service was friendly but a bit slow. They were busy and so was the lady helping us. But it took a while for the food to come. We didn't realize it would all come at once. We were a little put out by that...but we didn't ask either. The hubby didn't like the beer. He felt the IPA was weak and the grapefruit infused beer was just meh. He enjoyed his reuben. I thought my grinder was just meh. It was cold and the bread was super thick. I was under the impression it would be a hot sandwich. The pickled vegetables were tasty along with the coleslaw. The star of the show was the lemon mousse. So tasty. The town of Duvall seems kitchy... this seems a popular spot but I don't think we would drive out of our way to come here. read more

This place is amazing! All of the food and drinks we had were delicious, and our server was absolutely the best! The cremini mushrooms, pretzel with beer cheese, and flan were especially noteworthy! We sat outside with our dogs and enjoyed a beautiful fall day. Our server was the sweetest and checked on us frequently. She loved our dogs and even sent the cook out to come see them. We have been coming here for several years. Have always had great service, cheerful staff, good food. But after this evening we are sad we won't be back. The door was open when we walked in. It is 39° outside. Shortly after sitting down another table asked if the door could be closed and the waitress responded no. We had unfortunately already ordered beers at this point. When they arrived at our table we were freezing and inquired about the door. The waitress responded no it could not be closed, the owner wants it to remain open because "it's more welcoming" and that she would "get in trouble" if she closed it. By this point we had decided to forego ordering dinner and just try to drink our beers quickly. It was so cold that we ultimately just left our barely touched beers behind and closed out. We were dressed to sit inside, not outside. Despite leaving our coats and hats on it was simply too cold. Very disappointed as we are locals and loved this spot. The flight I had: mexican style had a nice flavor and refreshing like a lager usually is, Heff was tasty, Juicy IPA was not bitter which like and tasty fruit notes, the imperial stout was a disappointment. I am so happy to have this place a stone's throw from my home. Their is a good variety of styles available, and the beer is consistently well made. Food is good pub fare, with seasonal specials. The staff is very engaging and pleasant. It is a bar, so children are not allowed. They serve food, so dogs are welcome outside. Don't slam Valley House for not being what you want. I've driven by here so many times with no time to stop. Today I'm so glad I did! From the live edge to the worm wood and the warm coushy barstools this place is comfy and clean. Plenty of room outdoors by the fire pit; or pick between booths, tall tables, or a comfy spot at the bar indoors. I started with one of their seasonal sandwiches, the Summer Pastrami. Gruyère, crisp greens, pickled onions and a blackberry tarragon sauce complimented the pastrami on sourdough perfectly. Will be sad when this falls off the seasonal menu, but I'll have hope it will be replaced with an amazing Reuben! To quench my salted thirst I had their house made Community Fresh Hop IPA. This place pulls hops in fresh from all the local growers and makes a wild child of an IPA....It's fantastic! Light, citrusy, with a hint of pineapple. Definitely not too sweet though. I even took a growler home! The bar (Owen) and kitchen staff were so inviting! Conversational and fun! I'm so glad I made the stop and will be adding this to my must haves on a more regular basis now. read more

I am a big but fickle fan of beer, so I tend to gravitate towards flights for any brewery I go. This place is worth the drive-it is elegant on the inside, and the service was laid back but friendly. We enjoyed the pickled vegetables and the chips and dip. The Lemon Mousse alone is a reason to come. I used to come here once a week for dinner and beers. I always order the farm house ipa. The last time I was in the beer tasted really flat and watered down. Some guy that looked like Drew Cary was changing out the taps so I commented that the beer was gross. Instead of trying to make it right he got all butt hurt and didn't offer another beer. I had maybe one sip off the beer and non of the staff offered to fix it so I decided to leave. On my way out the drew Carey looking nerd was sitting in his car talking shit about me with his fat wife. I will give the mexican guy props tho that makes the food in the back. At least he had pride in his job unlike the obvious tech nerd gone brewery guy who looks like Drew Carey. I will never be back here again and will let everyone I know how much of an A hole drew careys dopple ganger was. Shame because the food is pretty good here. Just horrible staff. read more

I noticed just last week in the Woodinville, Duvall and Sultan area that there were some new breweries that I have yet to visit. So I made a point to do yet another little brewery tour through these areas to try then out. Valley House Brewing is the first craft brewery that I have come across that seems to be established and reliable in Duvall. There was another brewery at one time on the south side of town but on two separate attempts both times the brewery was closed or it looked like it just went out of business and the furniture and equipment had yet to get moved out. I know that partially it is a matter of timing on going to that brewery but on a Saturday afternoon it does call into question as to how accessible the owners want themselves to be. The other brewery seemed to be production only yet despite having a Yelp entry it led to someone's house where they were not open to the public. You could get their beer at some of the restaurants in town as guest taps but on my last trip here the places listed seemed to have no idea about what I was referring to which makes me suspect that brewery is defunct as well. So with all those past experiences with trying to partake the craft brewing community in Duvall it is very nice to see a brewery that is reliable and up and running. Now onto their beer... As I said I was on a craft beer tour and thought it was best to get only one beer here. I got their pale ale which wasn't too bad but on all my journeys with breweries it didn't seem like one of the most memorable ones I have drank either. Perhaps trying another type of beer would be in order whenever I come back through town. The location and taproom are very relaxing and the staff here was very friendly as well. They also serve food here which looked very tempting and should be explored in a return visit. read more

While coming back from Lake 22 hike, our group of 8 people stopped at this place for lunch and drinks. The place has a pretty good outdoor seating where you can hangout with your friends. There are very a few vegetarian options though. I ordered the Caprese Panini Sandwich and it was really good. The place is also dog friendly but keep in mind they only allow dogs outside. read more

Great little addition to the Duvall strip. Place is beautiful inside with all different types of seating. Big wrap around bar with chairs that actually have backs on them. The food menu was way more than I was expecting for a brewery. Tons of great options for whatever you're craving. We got a couple of sandwiches which were very tasty. Beer was good but not great. Tried 3 or 4 of them and they weren't bad but again not the best. I got the saison which felt really heavy after awhile. Service was also not bad. Felt a little rushed and just not that warm welcoming feeling. Another server came in who was really nice and made us feel a little more welcome. Overall, I am really happy to have this beautiful brewery be apart of Duvall. Can't wait for the summer to come try their new brews. read more

This is an amazing community place in downtown Duvall. The owners, Andy and Sarah, are almost always there and make a point to visit with customers. Great people, great food, and great beer. It's generally accepted that if a place does great beer, the food is, at best, OK. If a place does great food, the beer is, at best, OK. This is an exception! The food is consistently delicious and the beer is consistently fantastic. I've had many different beers here and they are all outstanding. We live in Kirkland and this is one of our favorite places! Now for the deets... it's early July 2020 and they have a full patio open in addition to indoor seating. Social distancing is in place and they do ask that you wear a mask when not at your table. Dogs are allowed on the patio but not inside since they have a kitchen. No kids allowed. They are located fairly close to the Snoqualmie River, and although there's not a direct view of the river, it's still a great location. read more
