I guess if you're a black person, they don't want your business. At 945 on a Saturday night I walk in and order my beer. The lady asks me if i want to close out.??? Im like what time do you close? She says "well we're cleaning up after the comedy show. Hmm ok. So i see a group that were alreasy there come and order more drinks. Then a couple walk in and get set at a table and they order drinks. Then i ask a bartender what time you close. She goes ummm, the owner says about 1030/1045. WTF?? so after i finish my beer and walk out, a black lady stops me and asks? how do you think the service was? I tell her what happened, and she goes, " I felt the same vibe" If that's the case, just put a fuckin sign on the door. I can respect that more. read more

I go to Northwest Brewing once a week for trivia and love it! The staff is wonderful, they have a full bar, generous beer selection on tap, tasty food, and a great casual vibe. Nice open layout with plenty of seating and sprawling bar.. easy locale to gather with a group, or sit out front on the patio on a nice day. I highly recommend a margarita, soft pretzel, and pizza! They also do other events like live music and comedy shows, which is cool! read more

We walked in on a Sunday. 3:45 pm looking for an appetizer and drink with my family. The bartender was a serious jerk. So rude and unwelcoming. He threw the menu at us and walked away. I thought maybe he is super stressed so I'll go to the bar and give my order. He was so rude he told me to sit down he would come to the table. Cool place. Love the wall mural. So Northwest! Had a flight of their brews. They were all well-made although rather standard. The cherry stout was unique. It was good in a taster, but I'm not sure I could have drunk a whole pint of that. We also ordered a dessert pie to go, which was disappointing. The filling was delicious, but they must use the same kind of crust (hotwater?) that is used in their savory pies. It didn't work for a sweet pie. Or our expectations were different. However, the server was very friendly and even gave us two pieces of pie for the price of one (I guess she messed up cutting the first slice). They have comedy shows, which sounded intriguing. Stopped here with our pup after a trip to Marymoor dog park for a drink, food, and to watch the game. It was 3:00pm so fairly empty but still a great vibe. Probably the best turn around for a bar in Redmond to date. I first came when it was Pint & Pie and the menu literally only consisted of dinner pies. I'm not going to like, it was very much not for me. I didn't like such a limited menu. At that time it just wasn't for me. In 2024 I decided to give it another shot because the bar across the street just didn't feel safe. I was shocked that they rebranded and completely overhauled their menu, in a great way. They added pizza, sandwiches, and so many menu items from when I last was there when it first opened. I'm a bit of a pizza snob, and have tried all the pizza places in downtown Redmond and by far it's the best pizza in town. The meatball sandwich... So good. It just offers something completely different to everything around it. The change in direction for the bar was literally a home run and a smart move. The bar is nice and quite most of the time, so if your sensitive to noise like I am it's a breath of fresh air and very much appreciated. The owner is nice and on top of things, and here's a little secret... He makes the best pizza out of all the cooks, shhhhhhhh. The bartenders are great. It's just an overall great vibe and atmosphere. The only knock I can give is it can be expensive, so something to keep in mind there but I feel the food is worth it. A wonderful bar to have good beer and quality food. We had a party of eight and there was plenty of party size seating. There was an excellent selection of craft brews and other options like ciders, wine, and cocktails too. Our table had the Burgundy Beef Pie, Chicken Pot Pie, pretzel app, and Fig & Pig pizza. All was delicious and filling. Perfect for a fall day. Evan was on top of all the orders in the bar with great service and attention. My favorite part was that I could actually talk to the people I was with and hear them while watching the game. Worth the stop. read more

Pint & Pie has a location in Tacoma and I have been there a couple of times and really liked the macaroni and cheese dishes. However when I went to this location in Redmond they did not have those available at all. I went and looked at their specific Yelp entry (this very one I am writing a review on) and reviewed the pictures and saw that the macaroni dishes were available at one point but apparently no longer or not for now. The menu changed some and I had to rethink on what I wanted. I decided to get a hummus plate. It was pretty good. Not anything stellar but a nice little snack or in my case a nice little meal to work with. I got a beer here as well. It was called The Myth and was a Black Lager. I don't see these very often and glad I had it with it's maltiness it added a nice and more unusual spin to the beer drinking. As I write this review and reflected my experience here it appears that the menu for food changed a little since I was there. Some macaroni and cheese options returned but not all of them. I'm assuming the menu on the website is current and I'm taking it at face value so you just need to go there at the right time to get certain menu items. read more

We stopped in on one of the hot summer afternoons, and while the ac was a relief it was only is and one other group. Too quite for this scene. Maybe there's an opportunity to expandor change their menu for summer. It's just too heavy for this season sadly. We tried the chicken and the beef pies. Both tasty but smaller than I'd like. More filling please! They both come with a salad that is simple yet perfect to balance the rich buttery pie crust. If you're a cider stinker there are several good options. I really enjoyed the pomegranate cider. Will come back in the fall or winter to give it another yet. read more

Whoa! So we've lived in Washington for over 12 years 10 of those years in Redmond. We moved away 2 years ago and today we were back in our old stomping grounds. My wife and I were out and about it with our adult children and decided hey let's go get some appetizers and maybe catch a happy hour. We picked a "new spot" Northwest Brewing across from our fav Palmers. Sorry to say what a disappointment. As soon as we walked in the young guy behind the counter came over to our table and slammed down menus and walked away, SAID NOTHING. While he went back over to the back counters he was slamming glasses all over the back, super passive aggressive. My wife thought hey maybe he is overwhelmed or understaffed so she walked up to the counter and was going to save him the walk back over to us to just place an order for a pitcher and one appetizer. The guy louder spoke to her, GO SIT DOWN. I WILL COME TO TOUR TABLE TO TAKE YOUR ORDER. At that point we walked out. Our son was angry with how the guy yelled and told the guy Bro you need to adjust your attitude. We walked out. Palmers here we come. What a crappy way to treat guests. Not going to be coming back. Everyone at palmers (the patrons that saw us walk across the street) told us wow must have been the owners son. Guess he's got a reputation: I do not recommend based on customer service. read more

This little brewhouse is my favorite new spot on Redmond. Their beer is excellent, based on my sampling of their very NW-style IPAs... And the brews were almost overshadowed by the delicious chicken pot pie, served with a generous arugula salad. Made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for 14 people. One employee showed up to work. The poor guy was very overwhelmed. The owner never showed up to help and after listening to his conversation on speaker phone with the employee I was discussed at his flipped attitude about the fact that he didn't care about the customer. This is a person that should not be in business. The employee suggested we go some place else because he couldn't serve us to the best of his ability. Met some friends here for a pint and food. The place is nice enough, very sports bar-ish with a nice wall of mountains and trees as the main decor. We ordered some beers but they were out of two out of four we wanted so two of us had to settle for something else. We ordered tacos, a pretzel and rib tips or some kind of bbq beef. The tacos were tiny and awkward to grab out of the metal taco holder that's meant for bigger crunchy tacos but they were decent. The beef ended up being ground with taco seasoning. The pretzel was excellent, nice and soft but the cheese sauce had way too much thyme in it and the portion for a giant pretzel wasn't enough. The worst were the beef tips, the first bite was ok, meat was tender but then we got some chunks that were chewy and the meat tasted like it was frozen and reheated more than once or something like that, just not a good flavor. We got comped for those. The staff was very nice. We really wanted to like this place but especially in a location like that they need to be on their A game. If they can't do a good job with tacos or beef tips, ditch them and focus on the meat pies which we didn't order because it was warm out and didn't feel like something good to order. The pizzas looked good too. Pies, pretzels and pizzas. Those three items should be the focus of this place. Keep it simple, smaller menu, less room for errors. read more

The room was not well lit. Great beer options and moderately attentive staff. What a great place! My husband and I sat outside with our dog and we got to enjoy the warm weather, ambient lighting, a guitarist playing, and lively atmosphere from across the street. Service was extremely attentive and friendly as well. They were patient and detailed when we asked for recommendations on beer and pie and made sure our dog was comfortable with plenty of water. I only had beer so cannot comment on the food except to say that their website left me to believe this was a pot pie restaurant that was paired with a brewery while the Yelp reviews showed pizza. Turns out they have both kinds of "pies". They should really make that more clear. Service was extraordinarily slow for someone sitting at the bar ordering a beer on a night where there were only about 5 other patrons. The beers were hit or miss with some being above average and some below. Pies not made in-house. When I saw "Pint and Pie," I assumed that everything would be made in-house (the dessert pies, at least)... so silly me for assuming. We thought this would be different, a restaurant specializing in pot pies and to top it off, sweet pies for dessert. It was a rainy day, and we thought having a comforting dish, like pot pie, would hit the spot. We both ordered the chicken pot pie, and it was fine. Not $16.00 fine... but fine. I was a bit shocked to cut open into the pie and it was NOT steaming hot. I assumed it would be piping hot, as it took a while for it to come out-- as in a table who came in after us received their food before us. The side salad was larger than the pot pie itself. We were most looking forward to dessert, and we had wanted to confirm the pies were made in-house. The server's response was short and as if she was embarrassed to admit that they were, in fact, NOT made in-house. We quickly paid and found another place for dessert. Pint&Pie has a huge indoor space with lots of seating and a very cool vibe. The employee who was working while I was there was super nice and gave us some good recommendations. They had a few guest ciders on tap so we ordered those as we aren't fans of beer. The pies were pretty good, the Belle's Shells is like a mac n cheese "pie" but really it is just mac n cheese with a donut-shaped circle of pie crust on top. I thought it was still really good but not necessarily a pie. Portions were smaller for the price but I still enjoyed it. The key lime pie was a seasonal option and I am so glad I chose it! It was so good. They also had an Irish cream pie in addition to the regular sweet pie menu (which includes pumpkin pie, for those of us who love pumpkin year round!). read more

Not pizza. Pies like, chicken pot pie. They have a selection of sweet and savory pies. They're priced at about $13, less for the sweet. Plenty of room inside. I was the only one there and it was quite. At the time they prefer the TV sound to be off. So, really quiet. Parking could be a problem like it is for all places around Redmond. I had an amber beer and it was tasty. The pies look OK. The savory ones come with a side salad. No happy hour at the moment. I think they should come up with a lunch special so you can get out of there for $20. As it is it will run you closer to $25 with tax and tip. read more

Savory pies were reheated, no longer crispy and also dried out inside, and too small. I get that's needed so I don't have to wait 45 minutes to bake, but, for $12+ I expect better. Visually, it looked like it might have been delicious... a few days ago. Chocolate pie, the crust was non-existent with no structure, like stale Oreo cookies. On par with a grocery store pie. If you're looking for a good pot pie, try Safeway's deli section (seriously), it's actually cooked same day and still crusty outside and moist inside. Service at the bar is very spotty in this place. I might be much better on the floor, but I can never seem to get the attention of the servers. The food is so-so. I'm not typically one to leave a bad review, but this was a terrible experience. We've been here a handful of times before and enjoyed it. However, today was different. When we arrived, we sat at the bar. It was at least 5 minutes before we even saw a server/bartender (and there were only 3 other parties in the establishment). We ordered drinks and a salad, telling him we will wait 20 more minutes until happy hour starts to order the other food. We never received the salad. On happy hour, we ordered a soft pretzel and loaded tots. The tots arrived hot on the outside edges, but cold in the middle. The server/bartender was making a drink at the time, and I heard him say he was bleeding. He then licked his finger, inspected it, and continued making the drink, without washing his hands or getting a bandage. He then brought us napkins and there were a few drops of blood on my napkin. We have a Passport Dining card which gives us 20% off our check total. I didn't see an itemized bill, but after adding it up after we left, he either charged us for the salad that we didn't get, or he didn't apply the discount. Overall, a terrible experience. read more

Feels like a hidden gem in Redmond downtown! We've stopped by here a couple of times to grab a local brew and snack. This spot is great for a friend meet up or after work happy hour. Tons of space and comfortable seating. Many TVs to catch the latest games. There beers are solid and their snacks are great! Highly recommend checking Pint and Pie out! But the portions were quiet small, the three pies that my party ordered were placed in the microwave and still cold in the middle, and the corn dog I ordered was still frozen in the middle.
